"I can't believe you didn't want to attend your own ceremony."

"Well, you know me. I kind of like sitting on the sidelines sometimes."

She looked at him. "And your folks are cool with knowing your secret identity?"

"Yeah, the time for secrets is over. The world is safe, time for new beginnings. My dad even says he wants me to team up with him now. Says I can be his sidekick." Danny said, looking back at her with a smile.

"You're a big star now. Probably the biggest in the world." She said.

"Yeah, it's weird, huh?"

"You'll probably get pretty busy."

"What else is new?"

Her smiled faded. "And I probably won't see much of you anymore."

"Oh, I wouldn't count on that." He said, holding up the ring and placed it on her finger. "Sam, I could never have done any of this without you."

Her eyes were now shedding tears.

"And I don't care what's coming next. I just hope whatever it is you're there to share it with me." Danny said, honestly and happily.

"I will be." She blinked her tears away. "I just have to warn you, I'm no pushover, you know. I still have my own way of doing things."

"That's what I'm counting on."

With that they shared that long awaited kiss.

Danny then stood up and changed into his ghost form. "What do you say? Want to go for a ride? See where the future takes us?"

Sam stood up and clasped his hands. "Why not?"

He picked her up and like that they were off, flying over the city and the statue of him in front of City Hall.

"Cool statue. Personally, I would've made it out of recycled materials." Sam commented. "But you know, that's just me."

They sealed their trip by flying off dramatically in the direction of the moon.

'I bet anyone watching this figured that everyone lived happily ever after. Too bad life rarely works that way…Because all it took to undo all of this…was one bad day.'

When the Diasateroid collided with him Vlad Master also known as Vlad Plasmius was sure he was a goner. It's not like he was going to put up a fight anyway. He could never home, due to the fact that he would be forever hunted now that he had revealed his secret and threatened the whole planet. Realizing that now more than ever he needed former friend's help, Vlad begged him to let him aboard the Fenton Rocket, but now knowing of Vlad's true nature and realizing that the Vlad Masters he knew is gone, Jack Fenton shunned his former friend by abandoning Vlad in space, dooming him to eternally roam the universe alone. After the Earth is saved by Danny, Vlad is shown sitting alone on a small asteroid, finally coming to terms with his eternal solitude as a "free-roaming space nomad" before being struck by the Disasteroid.

Now he was left weakened and would not possibly stay in ghost form for long and when he changed back to a human he would either die or become a full-ghost. Perhaps he shouldn't bother since he would not be welcome in the Ghost Zone either and if he became a full ghost he could wander the universe forever, forever free from his pursuers. It was just as his vision went dark did a portal appear behind him and he flew straight into it.

Xxx

Skulker had returned to his lair following the end of the Disasteroid incident, determined more than ever to defeat the Ghost Boy and hang his pelt on wall of trophies, even if the Ghost Boy had saved the Ghost Zone and all of them in the process.

He was still Skulker's most persistent enemy and he would not give up hunting him no matter what.

A flash of light appeared in front of him, blinding him for a second just before a golden hand shot out and grabbed him.

Danielle 'Dani' Phantom could hardly believe it.

Her 'cousin' saved the Earth with the help of the human race and the ghosts and best of all Vlad was gone for good. It comforted her greatly to know he would never hurt anyone again. Still she had to wonder what she would do now. She had the whole world to explore now that Vlad was gone and she wondered she would go.

She could go and see Danny but she didn't want to burden him with any more of her problems. She was now flying over an ocean, leaving Antarctica in the wake of everything that happened, leaving her 'cousin' to handle the glory he had long since deserved. Still she wished she could have stayed to at least say hi and give him a hug.

'Still, where do I go now?' Dani wondered to herself.

She was a three month year old child in the form of a twelve year old girl who was cloned from a teenage boy who was half ghost and just saved the world and was created by the man who just tried to take over the world.

Not exactly the type of thing you'd want possible adoptive families to know about.

'Family…' Danielle thought sadly.

The only thing she had for a family was Vlad and he never truly wanted her. Sure she was related biologically to Danny but she was a test-tube baby, born and grown in a tank.

What kind of family would want her?

Dani was suddenly a little sad, wishing she hadn't just 'flown off dramatically' but she didn't feel she belonged with Danny.

She didn't really belong anywhere.

She was so distracted she didn't see the portal forming in front of her until she flew right into it.

Xxx

Valerie wasn't entirely sure how she should feel once it was all over.

One the one hand Danny Fenton who turned out to be Danny Phantom all along had saved the world.

On the other hand he was Danny Phantom that originally ruined her life.

It was only later it was all an accident caused by that ghost dog while Vlad Masters, the man she had once considered to be someone she trusted used and manipulated her. Her world had been turned upside down but she supposed she should be used to that. It did bring up the uncomfortable feelings of when she and Danny were together but broke it off to protect him.

Turns out he didn't need protecting at all.

Now he was with that Goth-girl, Sam and even had a ring to go with it.

And to think she thought rings were lame.

To try and shake the feelings off she decided to go on a late night patrol like she always did. Maybe she could find something to distract her.

Just as she was up in the air there was a flash of light followed by a blast that shut down her systems.

"What the-" Valerie was cut off as she fell straight into the golden light.

Xxx

RING-RING-RING

'Hey, this is Valerie. Talk after the beep and if that's you Dad, you're not making me get home any faster.'

BEEP!

"Valerie, please. This is the fifth time I've tried and I'd really like you to just answer by now." Damon Grey said, becoming increasingly worried at this point.

After the Disasteroid Incident Valerie had…

He didn't want to say disappeared yet because he knew she would spend days out hunting for ghosts but she would always leave a message or two to reassure him.

"Please call back." He said before hanging up and waiting.

Xxx

"Well, this is unexpected."

In a lair filled with clocks a single ghost in a purple cloak watched as the ghost hunter and the younger girl version of Danny Phantom disappeared into portals of light.

"I knew there would be many obstacles for Danny Phantom…And his family to overcome over the years but this is…unexpected."

And troubling.

"Everything is as it should be but this has potential to unwind it all if not carefully handled. Sadly I am not responsible for these two and thus I cannot intervene." He turned to the dented thermos nearby. "Some things are meant to happen that not even I or the Observants can stop…And that includes the futures of other worlds."

He only hoped it would not lead to a future all would dread.

(Danny Phantom Theme Song Starts)

He's a Phantom

Danny Phantom(Danny Phantom-Danny Phantom)

Young Danny Fenton was just fourteen

When his parents built a very strange machine

It was designed to view a world unseen

(He's gonna catch em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom)

When it didn't quite work, his folks, they just quit

But then Danny took a look inside of it

There was a great big flash, everything just changed

His molecules got all rearranged

(Phantom, Phantom)

When he first woke up, he realized

He had snow what hair, and glowin' green eyes

He could walk through walls, disappear, and fly

He was much more unique than the other guys.

And it was then that he knew what he had to do

He had to stop all the ghosts that were comin' through

He's here to fight for me and you!

He's gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Danny Phantom

He's gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Danny Phantom

He's gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's (Danny Phantom)

RISE OF THE PHANTOM KING

Six Months Later

"It has been six months now since the cataclysmic event known as the Dis-asteroid Incident that nearly destroyed the Earth. The incident brought about by former mayor of Amity Park: Vlad Masters, later known as Vlad Plasmius in a mad bid to control the world. Since then Mayor Masters has not been seen or heard from since with few witnesses confirming that Vlad Masters has fled the Earth and vanished into the depths of space. Fortunately he is not missed by many and the near destruction was prevented by another human with ghost powers: Danny Fenton better known as Danny Phantom who has been protecting us as ghost attacks become more frequent."

(An image of Danny Phantom fighting off the technological ghost Technus is shown on the screen.)

"Fortunately it seems young Danny Phantom is up to the task of stopping them."

The TV was turned off as Mayor Tucker Foley turned around and faced the men in suits before him. "And that gentlemen is why Amity Park should be the first in line to receive the advanced upgrades for life at home and for improved efficiency in our restaurants."

"Including the…double meat paddy sandwich in the Nasty Burger? Cheeseburgers replaced with trouble burgers and cheese?" One of the accountants asked.

"Exactly." Mayor Tuckey said with a proud smile.

"Well, first off Mr. Mayor, Amity's budget cannot cover all of this. You are talking about making major changes to Amity Park but you do not have the funding to pay for it all. Finger prints and retina scanners all over the city, doing mundane tasks like paying parking meters? Why would your finger prints and eyes be needed to pay a fine?" A female accountant asked.

"To make sure the money doesn't get stolen." Tucker answered like it was obvious.

"…Before or after the money is put in?"

Tucker stopped and sputtered a bit. "Wha-I mean after the money is put in. You know how easy it is to steal from parking meters?"

"Do you know how long it takes to break in and steal the money? Besides, one could argue by placing these scanners on the meters you're making them vulnerable to hacking." The female accountant argued.

"Not with the firewall program I have set up." Tucker replied proudly.

"Even then it's pretty pointless."

"Hey!"

"For starters, why should anyone who parks near meter have to give their finger prints and retinas to pay for the time of which their car is parked? So they can simply turn it on? Seems kind of pointless right there." The accountant continued.

"Hey!"

"And what about security drone system you have approved for? Where drones with security cameras will be programmed to monitor all of Amity Park?"

"Well, since Amity Park suffers daily ghost attacks this new security system will be able to quickly alert the people of ghosts lurking." Tucker stated.

"Several citizens call that a violation of their rights, believing your reasons for this is close to how Vlad Masters acted when he took office."

"I am nothing like Masters." Tucker said with angered face and sounded insulted. "He implemented that security just to make my friends and me miserable. I am thinking of how best to help make things perfect for the citizens. No one complained when I offered a ghost shield for every home, business and school in the city or the Anti-Bullying Act I had installed into our schools."

"And yet despite his reasons, ghost attacks decreased to a near complete zero until Danny Phantom forced him to change everything back. And of course no one disputes the fact that the ghost shields keep people safe in their homes. It's the idea of constantly spying on everyone that makes people hesitant." The accountant replied.

"It's done to keep them safe. You know how easy it is for ghosts to come and go as they please? Danny Phantom is our best protector but he can't be everywhere at once." Tucker argued.

"There is another thing I should ask. The new 'Ecto' batteries and power supply that's replacing our nuclear power plant. What do you intent to do about the massive layoffs?" A man dressed in a suit next to the accountant, a lawyer questioned.

"Layoffs? They can simply go and work at our new energy clean and more efficient power plant." Tucker answered, not seeing the problem.

"They have degrees in running a nuclear power plant not the 'plasma' energy power plant you ordered to be built. The only reason it was approved is because Danny Phantom demonstrated it ran on the same energy as his powers, was approved by his girlfriend who paid for it and even then the Fentons are the ones supervising its construction. You are causing over a hundred people to lose their jobs." The lawyer explained.

This caught Tucker off guard. "Wait, they can't simply learn how to work the new power plant? It's not hard."

"They don't even know where the energy comes from, only that it's 'ghost' energy." The accountant quoted. "This is a completely new science they have no training or education for. And then there's PDA draft you have. Do you know how many people in the city have an account in businesses promoting smart phones which are smaller and more efficient?"

"That's a one-time thing. PDA's are the wave of the future." Tucker frowned.

"The smart phones allow for touch screens with your fingers in addition to having a wireless internet connection." The accountant held up her phone. "They are basically a cell phone and PDA put together without the need for a pen with an internet connection. They are a lot more advanced than the PDA ever could be."

"PDAs can be phones!" Tucker said, sounding even more insulted now. "And what's wrong with the pen?"

"The high tech ones can get forty dollars but the older ones barely scratch twenty. That's how much they are worth now. The point is people prefer the smartphones and they already have plans drawn up. Your law forces them to give these plans with no refund." The accountant got back on track. "So you are forcing them to give up money for nothing."

"Well maybe when they see how cheaper the PDA is they'll want it upgraded and then it'll back on the shelf!" Tucker turned away from the accountant and walked over to his desk. "I'm the mayor now so you guys to have to listen to me and get these things done. I know what to do to make life in this town easy for everyone."

Somehow the accountant doubted that.

Mayor Foley meant well but he was a teenager and had no experience in politics. He believed in using technology to make life better for anyone but it wasn't that simple. For one the technological changes he was implementing were expensive and most had to come out of the Fentons hard work and paying them for it such as the building of the Plasma Reactor that was powered by ghost energy from the Ghost Zone as a way to eliminate the use of fossil fuels as a power source. It sounded good in theory but that meant the creation of another ghost portal which was expensive.

Mayor Foley had already donated the ghost portal made by former Mayor Masters to the Fentons but building another would take time, supplies and money. The Fentons barely had the first one they built working and that was on whatever money they had made in their 'ghost hunting' business.

It was still a mystery how they managed to get enough funding for their lab in the first place.

It was obvious that Mayor Foley believed in using technology to make life easier for everyone but he had a few problems:

He was a teenager with no experience in politics aside from that time he ran for class president and even then no one would listen to him.

The only reason he was able to win and become class president was because he gained ghost powers and essentially enslaved everyone in his school.

He hated it when people wouldn't listen to him and didn't consider any advice given to him, even with the intention of improving his chances.

He was completely dependent on technology as the 'wave of the future' but his policies would only insure people would get fat and lazy.

When things didn't go his way he threatened to 'sic' Danny Phantom on them as if he was the Mayor's one man Secret Service.

Hand print and eye scanners at parking meters and on every door of every house in the city.

Voice activated ovens with food temperatures programmed into them so they would cook at the right temperature without human hands directing them and even voice activated sinks.

Perhaps in their joy of the Earth being saved they might have been too hasty.

"If you want people to listen to you then you must consider what they will think and how they feel about these changes you wish to implement. For starts, for all these changes you plan to make will require a great deal of money and it won't survive on your friend 'donating' like she did for a project that you convinced is environmentally friendly." The accountant continued.

"It is!" Tucker argued.

"With health and safety measures added in, of course."

"Of…course." Tucker said, slightly hesitant as if suddenly remembering something.

"And again there is the matter of the layoffs." The lawyer spoke up again.

"Why can't they just go work at another planet or learn how to work at the new one? Tucker questioned, getting a headache now.

"Again they don't have the training or education which would take time and the nearest other power plant is a state away." The lawyer answered. "You can't just build another plant with a new energy source that has only recently been discovered and expect everyone to know how to work it."

"I'm the Mayor and I can do just that! You have to listen to me!" Tucker stood up, unable to take it anymore. "If I can't find a new workforce I'll just build one! I came up with the machine that turned the Earth intangible so I know how to do it!"

"You can't just-"

"Stop challenging my ideas and start listening to me!"

When Tucker took the office of mayor he thought it'd be the start of him showing everyone how to properly run a city.

Instead he was meeting resistance at every turn and it was making him mad.

"I bet Danny and the others aren't dealing with this right now."

Washington D.C.

"I can't believe I have to deal with this." Danny Fenton, better known as Danny Phantom groaned as he adjusted his tie, sitting beside his sister while his parents and Sam sat behind him.

"Look, I know you didn't want to do this but there wasn't much choice." Jazz Fenton said, wearing her own business suit to show she was taking this serious.

"This hearing is now in session." One of the senators spoke. "Daniel Fenton, also known as Danny Phantom. Do you know why you are here?"

"Well, I got a summons." Danny said, rubbing the back of his head. "Not sure why though."

"You are here because we received some disturbing information that has caused doubts in your credibility and that of your family as protectors of Amity Park." Another senator spoke. "Specifically of certain events detailing your involvement or the involvement of your family that caused the very ghost problems you now face and have endangered the world."

"That's hogwash!" Jack Fenton stood up, wearing his signature orange jump suit but had a tie to go with it. "We'd never help any ghost scum….except my son of course."

"Jack Fenton, sit down! You are here to confirm whether or not this information is true. You will be given a chance to speak but if you continue to raise your voice like that you will be thrown of these hearings and family will continue on." The middle and lead senator, a female with dark skin said sternly.

Jack reluctantly sat down but crossed his arms with a scowl.

"Now then. You've been on a role these last few months, Mr. Danny Fenton or should we say Sir Danny Fenton. In addition to saving the world, you are hailed as hero; you were knighted by the queen herself, you were given a Medal of Honor by the President and you've been given other honors in Germany, Russia, Japan and here as well." The lead senator continued. "And we understand you wish to be an astronaut one day."

"Yes, that's right." Danny nodded.

"Well, you understand we have a great many questions due to alarming information sent to us. This information was found in the mansion of former mayor Vlad Masters. You remember him, of course." The lead senator stated.

"We do." Danny said, him and all Fentons scowling at the mention of Vlad.

"According to the information, Vlad Masters gained his ghost powers during his college years following an incident involving your parents."

"Yes, that's right." Danny nodded. "They built an experimental ghost portal and it exploded in Vlad's face, giving him his powers."

"Is it true that Jack Fenton filled what is called the Ecto-Filtrator with Diet Cola that caused the portal to malfunction and caused the incidence?"

"…Yeah." Danny answered, sharing a look over his shoulder with his father.

"So in other words, your father was one who created Vlad Plasmius." Another senator spoke.

"That's not true." Jazz Fenton protested. "That was an accident."

"You just confirmed that it was an incident your father caused. This led to a great many people losing their money in the past twenty years. How is it that he was able to get away with this if he was supposedly the best friend of your parents?" The second senator questioned.

"Vlad broke off contact with them. He came down with a horrible case of Ecto-Acne and was hospitalized for years." Danny answered sternly.

"It he was exposed to this Ecto energy why did Mr. and Mrs. Fenton choose to break off contact if he was supposedly their best friend?" The lead senator questioned. "We understand later they were trying to cure him of this illness when it threatened to kill him much later."

"They chose to continue their research and moved to Amity Park." Jazz answered.

"And yet another report states that Mr. and Mrs. Fenton left Wisconsin because of a fall out with their relatives."

"That's a family matter." Jazz protested.

"It stopped be a family matter when your family's experiments nearly led to the destruction of Earth." The third senator retorted.

"That was Vlad's fault." Danny replied. "He sent the asteroid to Earth and sabotaged the bomb meant to blow it up so he could humiliate my dad."

"We are not holding you accountable for Mr. Master's doings but we are holding you accountable because the information we received suggests that the ghost attacks in Amity Park began after the creation of your ghost portal. The Fenton Portal, as you call it." The lead senator said. "Before that there were no ghost attacks, rumored or otherwise. According to the information the ghosts came through your portal, meaning that the very attacks you have been defending against are in fact the ones you allowed to happen."

"That is not true!" Maddie protested. "We never let any ghosts out."

"It doesn't matter if you didn't let them out. What matters is that they came through your portal." The third senator retorted. "Meaning every attack in Amity Park happened because of your negligence."

"Hold on." Jazz protested. "Vlad Masters had a ghost portal too. Even if he didn't allow for any ghost attack in Wisconsin there is still evidence of him sending ghosts to attack my brother in Amity Park. He even admitted to sending them to originally attack our dad. Vlad even caused the attack on Amity Park by the Ghost King."

"Yes, we've looked after that detail as well. While not every ghost attack can be pointed to your portal there is still the matter of the many ghosts coming through your portal." The lead senator replied. "We understand you are in the process of constructing a new one."

"Yes, we are." Maddie answered.

"Then you should know about the order from the President to cease building your portal until you've proven that no more ghost attacks will come from your portal." The lead senator stated.

"We do and we protest it!" Jack pointed at the senators. "You can't order us to stop!"

"Yes we can, Mr. Fenton if we believe that portal is a threat." The second senator retorted. "You may have saved the world but that does not absolve you if you were responsible for events leading up to the so-called Dis-Asteroid Incident which the information supplied to us claims."

"How are we responsible?" Danny asked.

"You've heard us speak up to now, haven't you? Your parents, specifically your father caused the incident that created Vlad Plasmius, leading to the series of robberies that allowed Mr. Masters to become the influential billionaire that he was and even allowed him to rig the votes that made him mayor of Amity Park along with the Pariah Dark incident and later the Dis-Asteroid. Your ghost portal brought all these ghosts to Earth, causing the attacks in the first place." The lead senator answered. "One could argue that you responsible for the threats you face."

"Vlad said the same thing when he became mayor and orchestrated his own attacks to make him look good." Danny scowled.

"And if he was here he would be held accountable for his crimes." The third senator stated. "But he's not and this is not about him."

"You can't ignore the good he's done." Sam Manson stood up and declared.

"We're not. We're seeking the truth so we do not have another attack by ghosts like Pariah Dark or another Dis-Asteroid Incident or deal with another Vlad Masters disguising himself as an ally. Up till now you have operated without oversight but those days are over. From this point forward, until we are sure that the Fenton family's work does not endanger another living soul you will not operate without supervision." The lead senator stated.

"You can't just make us answer to you." Danny stood up. "I'm not going to stop doing my job just because you're scared and looking for reasons to control me."

"Who says we want to stop you?" The lead senator asked. "You want to keep protecting your city, that's fine. However that does not make you above the law or accountable for nothing. And right now we have evidence that your family's experiments caused most the ghost related problems in the last twenty years."

"And where did you get this evidence?" Danny questioned.

"From me."

Danny and his family turned around, watching as a familiar man entered the room and Danny was stunned. "…Mr. Grey."

"Mr. Fenton." Damon Grey greeted cordially.

Xxx

"He sold us out!"

Sam Manson was not happy as they stepped outside.

"Sam…"

"You save the world and he stabs you in the back!" Sam growled, causing people to move away from her which was a wise course of action.

"He didn't technically stab Danny in the back. The government would have found that information when they searched Vlad's mansion anyways." Jazz pointed out. "We helped him search when…"

"When Valerie went missing." Danny finished calmly.

That was right.

Valerie had gone missing right after the Dis-Asteroid Incident.

She never returned home from the North Pole and Damien had reached out to him to help find her. They searched Amity Park, they searched through Vlad's mansion and Danny had even searched the Ghost Zone.

No sign of her.

"He's obviously still grieving." Jazz stated, her training as a psychiatrist kicking in. "He feels that we had a hand in her disappearance."

"But we don't. He's just taking it out on us." Sam crossed her arms.

Danny wasn't sure about that.

Xxx

"Mr. Grey."

Damon Grey had just finished giving his findings and stepped out of the building when a familiar voice stopped him.

Standing before him was none other than Danny, his girlfriend and family just a few feet behind him.

"Mr. Fenton. I am sorry but I am pressed for time so I can't stop for any idle chit-chat. Besides, I don't think it's a good idea for us to be speaking." Damon remarked.

"Please, can we just talk for a few minutes?" Danny asked, holding his hands. "Look, I know you're blaming me for Valerie's disappearance."

"Quick to the point, are we?" Damon quickly said.

"But I don't see how making life hard for me and my family is going to help." Danny pressed on.

"That's the problem, it's not." Damon narrowed his eyes. "Like it or not, Mr. Fenton there is some hard truth in what was said today. Your father made Masters into Plasmius who then manipulated and used my daughter as a weapon against you, all for his vendetta against your own father. Your ghost portal led to ghost attacks in Amity Park, causing untold grief and damage and the only reason you are talking to me now when you have given up the search is because I aired your family's dirty laundry."

"We are not responsible for the ghost attacks or Vlad's actions." Maddie stepped in. "And my son hasn't given up."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that." Damon retorted. "Your experiment is what gave him his powers, he was hospitalized for years and you all expected him to just forgive and forget when you hadn't seen him since the accident? I read up on all the files. Not so much as a get well card or an apology and you labelled him the sociopath for nursing a grudge?"

"Sir, Vlad tried to kill my dad and he endangered the entire world dozens of times. And he was completely obsessed with my mom." Danny pointed out.

"And you stopped him. I am thankful for that but I know my daughter's disappearance is ghost related and that's the very reason I tried to stop her from doing her…night job. And I remind you all that your portal was what allowed those ghosts to slip into our town." Damon glared at Maddie and Jack. "You consider yourselves ghost hunters but in reality you were the laughing stock of the town and even among real ghost hunters including my daughter since ghosts were coming out right under your nose. The only reason you are respected now is because of your son, not your research or inventions or your belief that you were ever defending our town."

"Watch it, right there you-" Jack stepped forward.

"You'll what?" Damon stepped forward and looked Jack in the eye. "Bust out some invention to threaten me?"

Danny got in between them and pushed them apart. "Stop! Both of you. Listen, sir I promise I won't stop until I find your daughter but I can't let the government get in the way of me doing my job."

"You heard them in there. They don't want you to stop but they don't anyone else to suffer the mistakes of you and your family's recklessness." Damon replied. "Is it not a fact that your own powers came to be because of that as well?"

Maddie glared. "How dare you-"

"You put on switch inside the portal and left a trio of teens inside. What did you think was going to happen?" Damon rolled his eyes. "That's when the suffering really started."

"Have you been blind to all the good Danny has done?" Sam asked, not liking the way Damon was talking down to him and his family. "Your daughter tried to kill him dozens of times."

"Yes, after he and that ghost dog ruined both of our lives. You recall right, how I lost my job, our home and were pretty much made into outcasts. That's what drew Masters to my daughter in the first place. He made her a pawn, taking advantage of her anger because what was done to us by you and her so-called friends at school." Damon softly rebuked. "Actually we discovered that Masters actually planned on releasing that ghost dog to attack you but incident that got me fired was just a bonus for him."

"Wait, seriously?" Danny could not help but ask. "He sent that ghost dog?"

"Yes, apparently. You are surprised?" Damon raised an eyebrow. "I though you would have known him and his tricks quite well by now."

"Well…I probably should have suspected it but after hearing it I'm not surprised." Danny admitted, surprised he hadn't thought of it before. "I guess I underestimated Vlad a bit."

"Regardless, accident or not, it happened and because of it my daughter's life was ruined socially and financially. We were forced to move out of our home and into a rundown apartment with our biggest fears that one of our neighbors was secretly an axe murderer. You are not seriously thinking her anger was not the least bit justified, are you?" Damon asked.

"Danny tried apologizing several times and he got a blaster in the face for it!" Sam argued.

"Sam!" Danny snapped at her.

"And an apology is expected to make it all better?" Damon shook his head. "Were you seriously expecting to make any headway with this?"

"Sir, listen. I know I made a lot of mistakes and getting you fired and turning Valerie into an outcast was one of the biggest mistakes I made which I absolutely do regret. I won't dispute that you and Valerie have a right to be mad about that but how do you expect to find her or make things better just by going to the government? They've been no help ever and the Guys In White were shut down after I told the President that they tried to destroy the Ghost Zone which would have destroyed Earth with it." Danny said, trying to reason with him. "I was with your daughter for a brief time, enough that I considered telling her the truth. We may have broken up but I still consider her to be one my closest friends and I won't stop until I find her."

Damon turned away. "That makes two of us but I can't stop what I am doing here either. You may be a hero, Daniel but I am not going to sit back and rely on just one hero to be the one to bring her home. And like it or not, some ground rules need to be made so we're ready for the next Vlad Plasmius or Pariah Dark…or something worse."

With that the Gray patriarch headed for his car, leaving the hero to watch with a solemn expression. While the Fentons headed for the RV, avoiding the gathering fans who wanted so much as a picture of the world wide hero, a single pair of eyes watched behind a pair of shades, looking closely at Damon.

Danny sighed as he fell onto his bed, having changed out of his suit back into his normal clothes. The last few days had been exhausting and he just wanted a chance to think things over. Sure, he saved the world, his parents stopped hunting, everyone knew who he was and was on his side and Vlad was gone, forever banished into outer space.

And yet it seemed problems were still mounting up.

Valerie had disappeared without warning or reason right after the Earth had been saved. When Damon came to him for help Danny wasted no time in trying to find her, despite whatever grudge she may have had with him. Despite their past and because of their brief time together Danny still cared for Valerie and wanted to her returned home safe and sound.

So far no success.

Valerie had one of the most advanced ghost fighting combat suits in the world, courtesy of Technus that should be easy to track by Tucker(when he had a break from being Mayor) and yet she seemed to vanish without a trace.

No signs of battle.

No ecto energy signatures.

Not even an exhaust trail but that was pointless since Valerie's suit didn't use any kind of fuel. Ironically her suit was powered for a form of Ecto-Plasma batteries which was were Tucker got the idea to make the new Plasma Power Plant.

There should have been something but there wasn't.

Danny was starting to get a little worried and his constant fights with ghosts and even ghost hunters who seemingly didn't care for his new hero status came from all over the world to fight him.

Then there was another issue.

Danny walked over to his laptop and looked through the files that had been copied from Vlad's computer and stopped on one particular file:

Danielle 'Dani' Phantom

After he had saved her from being melted down by Vlad, his clone/cousin Danielle 'Dani' Phantom had flown off dramatically again and was seemingly off traveling the world. He had come across her file and noticed that Vlad had been monitoring her movements even though Danny had warned Vlad to stay away from her. Danny wasn't sure if Vlad had just been monitoring Danielle simply to capture again her later or just to keep an eye on her like he did with all his enemies but Danny was glad he didn't have to find out the hard way. Danny knew he shouldn't have let Danielle leave like that but the girl was too scared to be in the same town as Vlad and he couldn't cover for her with his parents.

However, things were different now.

Vlad was gone and his parents knew his secret and accepted him for who he was. Now he didn't have to worry about that and he had told his parents everything, including Danielle. Maddie had been so outraged that Vlad had tampered with her son's DNA that Danny felt an instant of pity for Vlad…

Then wished he would come back just to see what his mom would do to the fruit loop.

Jack and Jazz had been outraged as well and all agreed to track this girl down and give her the proper home and family she deserved.

For Jack and Maddie it was a chance to have another daughter.

For Jazz, it was the chance to have a little sister which is something she had secretly always wanted.

For Danny, it was the chance to finally give her a home she deserved after all she had suffered through.

Only there was a problem…

Danielle seemed to have disappeared like Valerie did.

"Hey, Danny." Jazz knocked on the door. "Can I come in?"

"Go ahead." Danny answered and his elder sister opened the door and stepped in, dressed in her normal clothes. "Rough day huh?"

"Yeah." Jazz walked over and noticed Danny looking at Danielle's file. "Looking at it again?"

"Yeah. I know Vlad was monitoring her and I know she was there with the other ghosts to help turn the Earth intangible but after that she disappeared…Like Valerie did." Danny frowned. "I have a feeling they're both connected."

"You used Vlad's surveillance system?" Jazz asked, kneeling down to look over her brother's shoulder.

"Yeah. He was monitoring the whole town to the surprise of no one." Danny rolled his eyes. "And he was keeping an eye on Dani even after I told him to stay from her. I don't know if he was going to try and capture again or he was just keeping an eye on her but I'm glad I won't have to find out. I know his drones kept watch, even after he was gone."

"And you think she's gone too?" Jazz questioned.

"She disappeared right after we saved the Earth, just like Valerie did. That's not a coincidence." Danny sighed and leaned back on his chair.

"So what will you do?"

"Well, I guess I'll keep looking. I'm not giving on either of them." Danny answered.

Jazz smiled, feeling proud of her brother. "I'm glad to hear that. I really want to meet her."

"Trust me, you'd like her."

"I think I would too."

Damon Grey was glad to be back home, a better home for him…and his daughter.

After Vlad Masters disappeared and it was revealed that he was the one who sent that ghost dog that got him fired from his original job Damon was immensely compensated for what he lost. In fact, Masters had included Valerie in on his will since she had been such a useful pawn for him. Between that and the compensation for the plan to get him fired Damon Gray was even richer than before.

And yet he would trade it all if he could have his beloved daughter back.

So he used his new money to buy and take over VladCo, making it his own corporation and started his own plans.

Plans to ensure what happened to him and his daughter would never happen to anyone else.

Just as he parked in front of his home he noticed two men in white business suits and dark shades waiting at his door.

"Mr. Damon Gray."

"Yes." Damon answered as he stepped out of his car.

"We're the GIW, Guys In White. A government branch meant for protecting the world from hostile ghosts." Both men showed him their badges. "We have a proposition for you."

"The Guys In White? I had thought you had been shut down."

Both agents sniffed at that.

It was true as after Danny Fenton had ratted them out to the President their branch had been shut down.

Officially shut down.

They had no intention of allowing a ghost contaminated human to run around free and they especially had no intention of trusting the safety of the Earth to him and his super dense parents. It was easy to see that Phantom was deceiving the President and the other world leaders with his lies that the Earth and the Ghost Zone were connected.

Pure hogwash.

So the GIW needed a way to prove it and believed that they would find their first ally in Damon Gray.

"Officially, we were." Operative K answered, putting his badge away. "But we are able to operate…outside the box in times of great peril."

"Such as the ghost boy, Danny Phantom." Operative O continued. "And we have a feeling that you understand how much of a threat he really is, like us."

"…I'm listening." Damon answered.
