Chapter One

A man was jogging through the streets as cars zipped by. He was Sam Wilson, ex-marine and ex-pilot. In the army, everyone used to call him "Falcon", because he was so skilled at flying anything, jet fighters, choppers, planes, you name it, he's got it. Then another man was coming up behind him. "On your left." the man said. "Uh huh, got it, on my left." Sam said. But then it wasn't long before he saw the man again. "Don't you say it, don't you say it." Sam said. "On your left." the man said with a grin this time. "C'mon!" Sam said. He tried to bolt after the man but only lasted a few seconds before he collapsed, panting. The man walked over to him. "Need a medic?" "I need a new set of lungs." Sam replied. "Dude, you just flew right by me. I'm Sam Wilson, by the way." "What unit you with?" the man asked after seeing a badge on his shirt. "The VA." Sam replied. "Steve Rogers." Steve said as they shook hands. "Must've freaked you out after the defrosting thing." Sam said. "Yeah, well you get used to it." Steve replied. "You must miss the good days, right?" Sam asked. "Well, food's a lot better." Steve said. "Internet and movies are great. I didn't see Die Hard, though." "It's really great." Sam said. Steve got out a small notebook and a pen as he made a note on it. It also included, Independence Day and Independence Day Resurgence, Star/Wars/Trek, Transformers Original and Sequel Trilogy, Dunkirk, Steve Jobs, Rocky and Rocky 2, and Ready Player One. Then Steve got a text: Convoy's ready. Gotta move. "Alright, well, it's been nice meeting you." Steve said. "You, too." Sam replied. "Any time you wanna stop by at the VA, I'll be right there." "Okay, well, gotta go." Steve said before they shook hands and said bye.
