Prologue

Asagi clicked the option "send" in his e-mail. A moment later, a notification appeared on the monitor: your mail has been sent. He clicked the label "sent" on his e-mail page, checking whether or not his mail had truly been sent. When he saw his newest mail was included in the label, he breathed in relief. Now, his job was finally done. He could take a break from binge writing—or more precisely typing—for three days and three nights to submit his novel's final draft before the deadline to his editor. Ah, he was so tired. Sleepy. From a corner of his eye, Asagi saw the clock on his computer telling him it was already 5 am.

5 am. It was already morning, but he was so sleepy he could not stay awake to start his day.

"Ugh, let's sleep a little bit…" Asagi dragged his body to bed after turning off his computer. He set up an alarm so that he would not oversleep. After all, he still had an appointment for an interview with a literary magazine this morning. Being a popular novelist was really hard.

Asagi closed his eyes, but before he could fall asleep, he heard his stomach grumbling.

Right. He did not have dinner yesterday. He was hungry.

Asagi got up from the bed, dragging his body towards the kitchen. Oh wow, how come he felt the kitchen had become so far away from his room? Normally, it would only take him less than 5 minutes to reach the kitchen from his room, but now, he felt like he had been walking for eternity just to reach the kitchen. He blamed his drowsiness and his exhausted body. Ha, so this is the result of skipping proper meals and pulling all-nighters for three days straight, only survived with instant noodles and water. He only had himself to blame.

Asagi opened the cabinet in the kitchen, looking for instant noodles again. He was too tired to cook a proper meal, but his stomach was too hungry to be left alone. He took out a cup of instant noodles from the cabinet before pouring water into the electric kettle. He sat down tiredly as he waited for the water to boil. It should not take long. However, he did not know that his eyes could not hold on anymore. When the electric kettle had stopped working, giving a sign that the water had boiled and ready for the noodles, Asagi still did not move from his place. He was already unconscious. He did not even wake up after several hours, not even when the magazine agent called his phone due to him being overly late at their meeting. An hour later, his editor who was notified by the magazine about his absence banged his front door, calling his name countless times, but Asagi still did not wake up.

When the rescue team came to check up on him roughly fifteen minutes later after his editor called 119, he was still unconscious in his dining room. He was sent to the hospital and the doctor announced that he went into a coma due to malnutrition and overwork. While it was true that he had skipped proper meals and pulled all-nighters three days straight, saying that he was in a coma was not quite accurate. He might appear unconscious and comatose to the people who saw him, but the truth was far from that.

he was fully conscious, but he was conscious in another world.

Hello again! I'm back with a new fanfiction! I write this story randomly without further planning just because I'm frustrated for not being able to write anything for my other two on-going fanfics. I've been away from this site for quite a long time, so I think I need to warm up again by writing something. Anything.

English isn't my mother language, so please forgive me and correct me if I made mistakes.

Anyway, thanks a lot for reading my story. Thank you for your time, stay healthy, and don't forget to leave a review! See you next time!
