Haven't put up a story in a little bit. I was watching MU and thinking back to when Randy got kicked from ROR, and thought I'd do a tale on Mike and Randall reconnecting after the games instead of what happened. Here comes more wholesomeness and comfort for our favorite lizard!

~Still Friends~

What a humiliating development. Rage would fill Johnny's body, the sheer disappointment and anger surging through his veins was reaching a boiling point, he wanted to literally throttle Randall on the spot for costing them victory and even worse, suffering their first humiliation and defeat at the hands of a bunch of nobodies. The scaring elite of Roar Omega Roar stained all because of this weak, desperate reptilian kid.

Mike Wazowski alongside James P. Sullivan had humiliated him, Johnny Worthington III of all monsters, leader of the elite and prestigious Roar Omega Roar. The shame and disgrace alone was bad enough, but to see such an irrelevant and worthless tennis ball outshine him and take victory was unacceptable!

The lizard was gonna pay for the shame he's etched onto him!

"Hearts?! You really screw us over after everything we did for you?!" boomed Johnny, pissed off with the lizard, still sporting the heart pattern of the rug on his scales. First, he ruins their reputation, now he spits in their faces.

Randall gulped and looked at himself, silently gasping as he realized how badly he messed up. The anger and disappointment on his fellow fraternity brothers faces was so immense, Randall wanted to curl up into a ball and just die in some alleyway.

"Way to go, Boggs!" spat Chet.

Turning around, Randall would narrow his eyes and look on in anger at Oozma Kappa, seeing Sullivan and Mike celebrating their victory. Putting his fingers together as his scales return to their natural color, scowling at the six.

"That's the last time I lose to you, Sullivan!" sneered Randall, hissing with venom as he mentioned the blue monster's name.

"Actually, little gecko, you've got much bigger problems to worry about." came Johnny from behind him, cracking his knuckles as he smirks. "For costing us victory, it's time we cut off the piece of dead weight and show you the price of failure."

Randall froze and slowly turned around, his widened eyes meeting the hate-filled eyes of Johnny, as his fraternity brothers all gathered behind him and smirked, ready to punish the lizard for his weakness and really show him what failure truly means.

Taking a step back and feeling unease, Randall was so nervous right now, he felt physically threatened by the presence of his fraternity. Turning invisible and scurrying off would be a smart idea, but, he couldn't hide forever.

"You gonna get a real painful lesson now." laughed Chet, holding up his pincer and smirking.

Gulping in fear and almost unsure of what to do. These were supposed to his friends. Why weren't they by his side and sticking by him like a team player? He's one of them, wasn't he?! Johnny's supposed to be the top monster on campus, his idol and now he looks ready to break him in two.

"B-but I didn't mean to lose!" whispered Randall, fear present in his voice. "I-I still got at least a fine score!"

"But you did lose! You're the reason why we lost! But don't take the lose too hard, you were never one of us anyway." remarked Johnny, as Randall's heart was shattered into a million pieces at the sentence.

Randall's whole world came apart, he's out of Roar Omega Roar. But what really stung him was what Johnny said, he was never one of them. Tears began to build up in the lizard's eyes and threatened to fall, as he sniffled and shook. He's been abandoned by his so-called best friends.

"Aw, look at that, we got the little lizard to start crying. What a baby." laughed Reggie. "Let's grab him a tissue."

"Please guys, I'm sorry!" pleaded Randall through terrified sniffles, as Johnny stepped towards him.

"Oh you will be sorry. You will be." spoke Johnny, venom in his voice as he grabbed Randall by the throat and brought him closer, dragging his feet across the grass. "And by all means, keep on crying because the pain you feel is nothing compared to what you cost us tonight."

Applying pressure, Randall gasped and his eyes widened, the fear and turmoil erupting in his mind, grabbing one of Johnny's arms on instinct and attempting to pray it off, but the larger monster was way too strong. He attempted to squirm his way out, but Johnny was choking him as he struggled to breathe.

Chet and the other Roars just laughed and watched as their powerful leader punished this miserable excuse of a monster. The fear and seeing the lizard struggle and squirm was an entertaining sight.

"This is what you deserve, Boggs! You failure!" boomed Chet.

Johnny's face morphed into one of anger and hate, as he lifted Randall off the ground, reveling in seeing the poor reptile squirming against his grip. He wouldn't go too hard, but he'd make sure the lizard stays awake for all of the punishment he shall receive, laughing as Randall gags and coughs, gasping for air.

On the other end of the field, Mike and Sulley, alongside their friends see what's happening. Mike's single eye widens and he felt a surge of emotion erupt within him, seeing Johnny strangling Randall like that. His former friend didn't deserve that.

Sulley was appalled by it. Johnny was going way too far. Even if Randall did replace him in his former fraternity and participated in a prank that embarrassed him in front of the other monsters on campus, he didn't deserve this. He was just trying to make friends and he got involved with the wrong crowd. Now his so-called friends are showing their true colors.

"Johnny, stop!" pleaded Randall through his cries, squirming against his grasp, as the larger monster smirked. "You're my friend!"

"No! You never had any friends, you sad, pathetic excuse for a reptile. The only friend you had was in that tennis ball and you crushed him by helping us put those nobodies in their place. We never considered you one of us. You were so desperate to be with monsters out of your league, it made you the perfect pawn and with your abilities, it made you an acceptable replacement for Sullivan. I must say, you were good helping us with the challenges, but do you really think we'd take such a nervous little weakling like you into our group?" mocked Johnny, as he laughed at seeing Randall crying.

Randall whimpered and cried, his emotions breaking him down as he changes colors and takes on different patterns. Reflecting back to his old chum, Mike Wazowski, the one and only monster who was his first true friend in a long time. And what did he do to repay him? He joined a rival group of jerks and ignored Mike's pleas to re-enter the program, and participated in a prank which shattered his old chum and his fraternity, almost to the point of giving up.

Now where was he? Alone and abandoned, being choked by someone he thought was his friend. Johnny wasn't his friend, it was all a lie. He'd been duped, manipulated, and now he's lost everything.

"How does it feel to know how much you've let us down?" remarked Javier, enjoying the sight too much, as he punched the lizard in the side.

Wincing in pain, as Johnny's group gathered around their leader, making sure that Randall wouldn't squirm away from this.

"You were always nothing but a nobody, Boggs. Just a sad, little lizard crying out to be with the cool monsters and not realizing just how worthless you truly are. Neither cool, nor scary." laughed Chet, moving in with his pincers.

Johnny smirked and turned back to face Randall, bringing the restrained lizard closer. His expression becoming angry once more, the fire in his eyes, the red hot anger stewing within him and towards the monster he's about to wish was never born.

"Know this, Randall, you'll always be nothing. A forgotten, irrelevant child looking up and wishing he could be something he never will be." sneered Johnny, putting more pressure on the lizard's neck. "You ruined our reputation! We threw away a perfect scaring elite and for what? A stupid whim!"

Mike and Sulley couldn't watch this any longer. If they didn't do something soon, Randall was really gonna get hurt. Mike, despite knowing he'd stand no chance if he were to fight Johnny and his fraternity, stepped forward.

"Randall..." whispered Mike, clenching his fist. "I'm putting a stop to this."

"That's enough, Johnny!" yelled Sullivan, catching the attention of his ex-friend and former fraternity brother.

Johnny and his Roars turned around to meet the gaze of Sullivan, as Randall weakly looked at the towering blue lug. Was Sullivan actually coming to his recuse?

"You know, Sulley, it's not too late to re-join with us after we toss this miserable excuse of a monster in the trash." laughed Johnny, as Sullivan shot the horned monster a piercing glare to not hurt him.

"Put him down right now, you psychopath!" demanded Mike, stepping over towards the group, who merely laughed at the smaller monster's attempt at acting all big and tough.

"M-Mike..." Randall gasped out weakly, his vision starting to blur from the lack of oxygen.

"I said put him down!" yelled Mike, snarling at the larger and stronger fraternity leader. "Leave him alone! What did Randall do to deserve this kind of abuse?"

Johnny gave an amused smirk and just busted out laughing. Did this pathetic little beach ball think he'd stand a chance against him? Still, it would be nice to get a little revenge for being beaten by the overconfident green monster.

"How touching. You've come here to save your old friend." mocked Johnny. "Surprised you still give a damn about him, even after he helped in our little prank."

Mike looked at Randall, sighing sadly as he saw how sad and helpless his old roommate was. He didn't hold it against Randall for humiliating him during the prank, his old best friend just wanted to make friends and these elite assholes took advantage of the lizard's good nature. He didn't want for him to join the Roars and he wasn't the greatest of friends to him, but now, he could make things right.

"I don't hold it against him. Randall's still my chum, I won't turn my back on him." swore Mike, pointing to himself. "I might've been too wrapped up in my own matters, but I made a mistake. I won't let you hurt him and I won't let him down again."

Randall's eyes focused on the smaller green monster. Taking every word Mike said, feeling guilt over the prank and concern at the prospect of him getting hurt.

"Admit it, tennis ball, you never cared about him. He was just a study partner and nothing else to you, much like the rest of those losers are." spoke Johnny, knowing how determined the smaller green monster was to re-enter the program.

"You're wrong!" yelled Mike, angry. "Randall was always my friend! I never wanted to lose him! He was my lifelong best friend, the monster I'd always have by my side and I'd stick by him through thick and thin! When he joined your group, I felt hurt and even saddened, but I hoped he was happy and making as many friends as he could. He deserved to be happy. You guys call yourself the cool monsters? All I see is a bunch of elitist assholes that care about some stupid reputation above all else and you're nothing but trash, Johnny! You don't deserve to be Randall's friend! Hell, you don't even deserve to call yourself a monster!"

Sulley could only smile at Mike, knowing his friend's heart is in the right place. "Now just stop this, Johnny, put Randall down. You're better than this."

Letting out a yell, Mike charged forward at the elite fraternity monster, using his head to ram right into Johnny's abdomen, knocking the wind outta the horned monster, as Mike winced a little from the headache he gave him. In pain, and clutching his belly, Johnny dropped Randall to the ground, as the lizard coughed and wheezed, taking deep breathes, filling his lungs back with air.

There wasn't time to worry about a headache. Mike rushed over to Randall, seeing a couple bruises on the lizard's neck and frowning. Reaching down towards the lizard, he held out a hand for him.

"M-Mike...?" coughed Randall, his vision clearing up as he met the eye of his old chum. "G-get outta here! It's too dangerous!"

"Come on, Randall, get up and let's move." ordered Mike, grabbing the lizard's hand and helping him back up.

He stumbled and nearly fell, but Mike caught him and allowed him to lean on him. Randall panting, looking at the monster he's leaning against, as Mike only gives him a smile and the two of them attempt to clamber away.

"Oh no, you don't!" gasped Johnny, going towards the two monsters, with Randall closing his eyes and awaiting the beating.

But it never came. Instead, Mike and Randall saw Johnny get knocked to the ground, and Sullivan standing close by, his furry hand clenched into a fist. The other Roars were shocked that Sullivan would even consider punching their leader and moved in to retaliate, but an ominous winged shadow came over the field.

"That's enough!" demanded the Dean, with the members of Roar Omega Roar freezing in their place.

Dean Hardscrabble shot them an icy cold glare, as she heads over to where the group is, not even bothering to look at Johnny, as Sullivan nervously gulped, and Mike, not wanting Randall to suffer anymore, stood in front of his old friend.

"We'll discuss your victory later. Right now, leave and take your friend with you. I have a few words to give for Mister Worthington and his fraternity." coldly replied the Dean, shifting her focus over towards Johnny's fraternity. Mike and Sulley nodded, as the larger blue monster went on the other side and helped with carrying Randall off.

First, his old chum comes to his aid and now the monster that ruined his scare, saved him from Johnny and he's leaning on him for support. The fur actually felt nice against his scales, very warm and inviting and awkwardness aside, he welcomed the comforting feel of it.

"Mike, I'm sorry..." whispered Randall, barely loud enough to pick up. It did however reach the ears of both monsters carrying him.

Mike's heart broke at seeing Randall like this. Even if they had grown distant lately, he hated seeing how broken his friend was. Poor Randall. He should've been a better friend to him and stuck by him like a true friend should. Instead of putting his energy into his studies and following his dream, he needed to be there for the lizard monster.

There was always second chances. Maybe, just maybe, Randall and him can reconnect as best chums once more. Mike looked at Randall and their eyes met, as he made a silent vow to not leave him behind again.

They met back up with their fraternity and now they're back at the house, Randall's wrapped in a blanket and sipping on some water, Sherri had taken care of any scraps the poor lizard had gotten from his encounter with Johnny, as the members of Oozma Kappa were gathered around him, with Mike taking a seat beside his old pal.

"How you feeling, Randall?" asked Mike, still concerned for his friend's well being and mental state.

Randall didn't answer right away. He looked at the cup of water in his hands and Mike sitting beside him. He sniffled a little bit. This was such a horrible day, but he spared a potential beating at the hands of his so-called friends.

He felt horrible about the way he treated Mike and abandoning him. The small green cyclops didn't forget about him, instead of reveling in his victory, he came to his aid and saved him.

"A little tired and emotionally overwhelmed, but I'm fine, Mike." replied Randall, taking a sip from his water as he sighed.

"I couldn't sit there and let Johnny, you know, hurt you. Even if you don't consider us best chums anymore." said Mike, reaching out and putting an arm around Randall's torso, bringing the surprised lizard closer. "You weren't getting hurt and I would take a black eye if it meant you didn't get hit."

Hearing that made Randall's heart ache. He stiffened but relaxed into it, happy to at least have someone around who cares about him. Taking a deep breath, Randall grabbed Mike's hand and rubbed it, looking at his former roommate.

"Are we still friends, Mike? I mean, after everything I did and all?" asked Randall. Part of him knew he didn't deserve Mike's forgiveness nor his friendship. He deserved to be alone.

"Of course we're still friends, Randall. You're one of the brightest spots of this whole college experience. Even after being kicked from the program and forced to share a room with this big lug of fur, I still missed my favorite cupcake baking chum around." laughed Mike, gently squeezing Randall's hand.

Moved by it, Randall turned away and sniffled, tears forming in his eyes and threatening to fall. Sulley brought a tissue over, as Randall took it and looked at Sulley, as the blue monster gave him a friendly, genuine smile.

"I guess I owe you for saving me back there." responded Randall. Even though Sullivan ruined his scare, he felt indebted to the larger monster.

Reaching out, Sulley placed a comforting hand on one of Randall's arms, catching the monster by surprise. He just had such a friendly and kind expression on his face, Randall couldn't help but just relax as he looked at the monster he called his rival, now feeling differently towards him.

"You're fine. Johnny went too far, it was cruel what he did to you." said Sulley. "I know you're probably not happy with me ruining your scare and it is my fault you landed on that carpet, but I didn't mean it, Randall. I was trying to help our team to victory. I'm sorry about that."

Randall gave an understanding nod. He wasn't expecting Sullivan to apologize to him and it just pulled at his heart strings, he didn't feel any malice towards him anymore.

"Wow... Never thought I'd see you apologize, Sullivan." gulped Randall, unsure of what he just heard from the blue monster's lips.

"I'm sorry too, Randall." came Mike, clearing his throat.

"For what? If anyone needs to apologize, it's me for embarrassing you at the party and being against you." responded Randall, only to be silenced by the smaller green monster.

Mike had stuff to answer for too. He did Randall wrong, but no more, he's gonna make this right and be the friend the lizard monster needed from the beginning and be his best chum once more.

"No, I need to say this. I've been a bad friend to you." replied Mike, taking a deep breath and frowning. "Randall, I'm sorry for not being a good friend to you, for choosing myself over our friendship, ruining your cupcakes and embarrassing you, and for being a selfish cretin. You deserved better. I had the greatest friend a monster could ask for and all I did was get caught up in myself instead of seeing what's truly important. I wished I could've seen that sooner. For all that I've done and I don't blame you if you hate me, but I'm sorry for everything, Randall. You're more of a monster than I'll ever be."

Randall was speechless. Mike just poured his heart out to him. Unable to hold his emotions back anymore, Randall grabbed Mike and embraced him in a hug. The smaller green monster while caught off guard, quickly returned the hug and threw his arms around his old roommate. Sniffling and shedding tears, Mike and Randall remained embraced, both of them refusing to part.

Sullivan and the rest of Oozma Kappa just watched on, with Art having a smile on his face. Such a touching sight to see two lost friends once again reunited.

"Randall, I know I've been a stupid and selfish beach ball, but I want to make it up to you." added Mike, crying himself as he's unable to hold his tears back. "I want us to be friends again. I won't leave you behind, I'll always stick by you. I wanna be the friend I should've been from the start, spend time with you, hang out together, and just stick by each other. Randall, I-I..." as he trailed off.

Randall was so overcome with emotion, his tears landing on Mike's head as he hugged the smaller monster close, all four of his arms curled tightly around his old friend's small frame as he chokes back a sob and pulls him even closer.

"Please stop talking, Mike. I want us to be best chums again. I missed you, I need you, I want us to be pals again." whispered Randall, through his tears, shaking as Mike reaches behind and pats him on his scaly back. "I'll be your friend as long as we never part again."

"It's okay, Randall, you're gonna be okay." Mike reassured, comforting his old friend.

Never had they been this close or affectionate, but neither of them cared if this made them soft. They needed each other, and Mike wasn't gonna let go of Randall this time, the monster needed a friend more than ever.

"I wish this would've happened sooner. I might've gotten in with the cool kids, but they were never my friends to begin with." whispered Randall, sighing as Mike rubbed his back, running his hands along those soft yet rough scales in a soothing manner.

Randall felt like an idiot. He was smarter than this, there were signs and he was too blind to see them. Johnny was never his friend, he was just an elitist asshole who used him. Mike was his real true friend, the one monster who cared about him and now, he was unharmed and in a safe environment because of him.

"They're not cool, Randall. Johnny and his group of jerks are trash." stated Mike, pointing to Randall and smiling. "You're better than them. Johnny's nothing compared to you, easily ten times more of a monster than he could ever hope to be."

That flattering comment got a faint blush to form on Randall's cheeks, a big and happy smile spreading across his face at that praise. Mike laughed and smiled back, as they continued hugging each other, happy to be reunited and their friendship rekindled.

"And if you're looking for friends, we'll be your friends too, Randall." came Terri P., as he and the others gathered around the two embraced monsters. "And don't worry about the prank, all water under the bridge. Forgive and move on."

"No need to feel unwelcome. You're more than welcome here!" grinned Art. "Even give you a hug from time to time, especially if you give me one of those yummy cupcakes I've heard so much about."

Looking at the other monsters, Randall just smiled, feeling a happiness he's not felt in a while overcome him. So genuine, full of care, and most importantly, heart. These monsters would take him in.

"T-thank you..." Randall replied, his voice breaking as he sniffled and felt more tears forming.

"It's no problem. You're just like us, a great monster with a big heart." stated Scott, pointing at where the lizard's heart would be.

Even Sullivan got in on the action, placing a sympathetic and caring hand on Randall's back, as the lizard monster looked at him and smiled. Even James P. Sullivan, the son of a famous Scarer was offering a hand of friendship towards him.

"Welcome to Oozma Kappa, Randy!" laughed Mike, pulling away from the hug, but still holding onto his former roommate's hands.

Randall just couldn't stop smiling. He squeezed Mike's hands affectionately, as the two old chums laughed and went back in for another hug. It might be time again to bake some cupcakes and this time, he's gonna have some real friends to enjoy them with.

The end.

Saw an image of Johnny strangling Randall on DA and let me tell you, if I saw that, I'd probably end up killing Johnny, or breaking every bone in his body. Now aside from that, I wish after the Scare Games, things went differently and Mike and Randall could've reconnected, even have Sulley apologize and things could be mended for the poor lizard monster. I feel Oozma Kappa would welcome him with open arms. But I suppose that's why we have fanfiction. Anyway, let me know what you thought of this. RandallBeast19, out!
