Welcome back to more shitty tropes about Ace Combat fanfiction.

Trope 7: Everyone lives and its a happy ending.

Yeah, you see those characters, the ones that clearly died within the game and have been stated by the game to be dead? Yeah they're alive. Also everyone is in a relationship with one another like its some Disney ending shit in this three part story even if the pairing doesn't make sense, like Trigger being Rosa's supposed knight in shining armor or actually managing to strike a friendship with her despite him probably being the reason her father is lying dead in pieces on some street in Farbanti or why her country looks like Nazi Germany when they lost, or Tabloid being somehow still alive despite being flattened like a Looney Tunes character, they will be in some relationship and alive. Even the pilots of Spare Squadron are alive and well, Chopper is alive and well, everyone is alive and well. Somehow. Don't ask too many questions, just take it, because this three part story may look like the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, but its more like the sequel trilogy, complete with the retcons, bringing dead people back, and shitty romances between two characters of opposing sides that don't make sense but are just thrown in anyway like its some fucking sappy highschool AU. You know.

Trope 8: The ones that have zero clue about aviation.

Thanks to a reviewer, I've noticed there are two ends of the spectrum to this. The first one is as mentioned. Has little to no idea about aviation and aircraft and get many things incorrect, present company included. But they still try their best. Or some that exclusively get their knowledge about planes from Ace Combat and think a pilot can spin in a circle multiple times without having his eyes sucked into the back of his skull. No pressure, right?

Trope 9: The ones that are too knowledgeable on aviation.

The other end of the spectrum. Seriously, get a job at some flight school or something. Its like LARPing but in fanfiction. You have to give them credit for putting their aviation knowledge to use though, even I couldn't remember or bother to learn all of that. Good on you. But still, enroll somewhere.

Trope 10: Alternate Universe.

Don't worry writers, in order to make your bullshit make any sort of sense, you always have this ace up your sleeve; an alternative universe so your characters in a nonsensical pairing that could rival Boku no Hero Academia fan pairings can finally be done! Or you can go all out with wacky shit happening. Why? Because headcanons! Who cares if they don't make sense or go in the opposing direction as canon and derail over the bridge into a valley below? No matter how far your headcanon deviates and how stupid it sounds, it's the trump card.

Trope 11: Fujoshis.

This is something that scares me to no end. They're the bane of every fandom and are renowned as some of the toxic creatures to ever exist on this little piece of rock orbiting the sun, so I'll leave it off till here, because this is a line I am too scared to cross. All those nightmares of Cipher and Pixy doing unspeakable things... unless you want me to go into detail with this category.
