Foreword: It is often hard to keep some stories within a T rating. This was one. The behavior of Taffy and Wonder Heart are actually based on the behavior of some of our neighbors girls when I was a teenager. They were pre-teens who were quite mischievous. One ran outside with a magazine one time. Probably a National Geographic magazine. "Look at this" she said as she pointed something out. She then slammed the magazine shut and ran off laughing. It was a photo of a boy about eight years old, who was naked.

Another time one ran out with one of her Mother's magazines. I think it was called "Playgirl Magazine". "Look, naked men" she said and then giggled. She held it close to my face as she flipped some pages. Yes, the men were naked. The girl grinned from ear to ear before running off.

I hope you like this story of mischievous girls and a supposedly bad Beast.

Some youngsters dislike visiting museums or government institutions. Getting restless as adults perused items on display. Whether the youngsters be Human, Care Bear or Care Cousin. The three little Piggies of Beastly Boar and Sweet Treat Pig were no different. However there was one such place they loved to visit. The History Wing of The Hall of Hearts of Care a Lot. It was a treasure trove of items, literature, and art. Besides Care Bear art were replicas of Human Art. To better help Humans, Care Bears and Cousins needed to understand Human culture. Some paintings and statues are works of art to some discerning eyes. Pornography to others.

Taffy and Candy giggled as they pointed to a painting of a Human boy. "Look, he's naked" they laughed. Then pointed something else out. Making their brother blush. Pepper Jack sure was glad he was a Care Cousin and not Human. His male parts were not so easy to see when he was unclothed.

Taffy and Candy were not unique in finding humor in such works of art. Wonder Heart Bear often giggled as her uncle tried to explain why some things were considered Art. She got quite a kick out of some of the things her wide eyes locked onto. "I wonder why Human boys have no fur to cover themselves" she once asked. Tender Heart sighed. "I guess for the same reason Human girls don't have fur" said her uncle. Then tried not to stare at a replica of The Venus de Milo. "Wow" he thought to himself. "Just think what it would be like if Harmony was built and exposed like that!" He then tore his eyes from the sight, he didn't want Wonder Heart to think he was a dirty old Bear.

Now on a rainy day in Care a Lot Wonder Heart sat bored as her uncle filed some paper work. She had kicked off her rain boots. As she sat she now wiggled her restless little bear foot paws. Tender Heart didn't plan to stay at the Hall of Hearts very long. Just as he shooed Wonder Heart into a hall way up walked the Boar family. Well, sort of walked up. One of them was wearing his leg brace.

Beastly usually had little very little feeling in the leg weakened by Weak Bear Disease. However sometimes some feeling temporarily returned. Usually as a sharp pain or two. Damp cool weather was one thing which triggered such events. So today Beastly was having a hard time to keep up with his Mate and three little Piggies. Sweet Treat was there to make sure their taxes had been received in the Hall's mailbox.

As Tender Heart spoke to Sweet Treat three little Piggies went running for the Art Wing. So did a young Bear. So the grown ups made their way into that area. With Beastly lagging behind.

Sweet Treat sighed as her daughters and son admired certain Art works. Especially one of her girls. "Taffy certainly takes after her Father" Sweet Treat muttered to herself. Luckily the next row of Art was mostly G-rated Care Bear and Cousin photo history albums.

The little Piggies always found these interesting too. For among the pages were photos of Care a Lot citizens past and present. Also photos of paintings. Besides images of Care Bears and Care Cousins were some of Care a Lot's former foes. "Frenemies" too. Two images often popped up. Those of the more recent friendly foe, Grizzle Bear. Also those of No Heart's former lackey, Beastly Boar. Now days many thought of him not as a former foe. But as someone to admire and revere.

He was in essence a Living Legend of the Care Bear world. His good deeds now far out weighed the bad deeds of his past. Beastly was now a beloved member of Care a Lot society. With a status similar to an Elder Care Cousin. Which is one reason he could do no wrong in the eyes of his Piglets. Beastly had been the equivalent of a fifty year old Human when he had sired his piglets. Now his son happened upon a series of pictures in a picture history book for youngsters. "Hey Candy" he said to his least mischievous sister. "Look what I found!"

The youngster tried to read the words under the pictures. "Hey, I think that is Daddy's name" said Candy with a squeal. She then motioned to her sister who had her snout practically on a painting. Her eyes glued to what she was staring at. Candy shook her head. "Hey Taffy. Stop staring at that naughty painting and get over here." Not only did Taffy hear her. So did Wonder Heart. She ran alongside the pig to see what all the commotion was about. She didn't want to miss seeing something else naughty.

Instead her eyes beheld a series of photos of what appeared to be a Knight in shining leg armor. His chest protected by chain mail. His head covered in a Knight's metal helmet.

The Knight was riding a horse with colorful horse hair. With a colorful flowing mane. Like a Care Cousin Horse would have. Someone who looked like an Evil Wizard was fleeing before them. Then it showed the knight taking off his helmet. The fuzzy face looked familiar, like a younger version of Beastly. For some reason the horse looked familiar too.

"That does look like Daddy" gasped out Taffy. "I think I've seen a picture of that horsy somewhere else." Wonder Heart now leaned down for a better view. Her eyes went wide with wonder. How could a handsome Piggy Knight look so much like Beastly? And yes, the horse did look familiar.

As the grown ups made their way over Tender Heart gasped. Beastly tried not to limp as he walked up. Then he squealed with pleasure. Beastly was grinning from ear to ear. Then Tender Heart gave Beastly a friendly pat on the shoulder. Sweet Treat grunted happily. There were few photos or paintings of Beastly as a young Boar. Could this be one? She had heard many tales of misadventures by Beastly when younger. She and the youngsters wondered why Tender Heart had patted Beastly's shoulder. Sweet Treat gave Beastly a pat on the backside as she looked over at Tender Heart. "Okay boys, according to the captions that is Beastly. I sense quite a story here!"

"Indeed there is" said Tender Heart. Obsessive Bear and Brave Heart walked over to join the little gathering. Several more curious Hall visitors walked over to see what all the commotion was about. Brave Heart knew what the photos were about. Obsessive and most of the visitors did not. They all watched as Tender Heart then knelt on one knee before Beastly. "Well Sir Beastly, let's tell them this tale together."

Beastly almost seemed embarrassed as Heart Song broke out into a song. "Gather round ye Cousins and Bears. Hear a song of yore. How an evil wizard was forced to flee. Before a beastly boar." Heart Song had been a teen Cub when she had first heard an amazing story. Now Beastly and Tender Heart launched into that amazing story of courage and honor. Despite the many years that had passed it remained fresh in the Bear's and Boar's memories. Now they told others of that amazing time in Care a Lot history.

Even before No Heart and Shreeky had abandoned their evil ways they did at times show some empathy for others. They did seem to tolerate Beastly's many bungled efforts to do bad. Young Care Cubs and Care Cousins actually found Beastly funny. Hugs and Tugs in particular. They found they need not fear Beastly, despite warnings from grown ups. Indeed several times Beastly had helped the Cubs. Even being protective of the Cubs when villains such as The Evil Vizier threatened Care a Lot.

On a cloudy day in Care a Lot Hugs and Tugs wandered off towards No Heart's Castle. Tender Heart and Noble Heart noticed and went to fetch them. They found the Cubs behind the Castle trying to hit Beastly with a squirt gun. "Yuck, is that clean water" Beastly had gasped out. Noble Heart whinnied in sympathy.

"Sorry Beastly, they got me earlier." He took something from the Cubs which Hugs had removed from her paw bag. Tender Heart grabbed one and threw it down on the rocky ground. There was a sharp "bang" and a large acrid puff of smoke.

As the Cubs laughed Noble Heart shook his head. "Gag smoke bombs" he muttered. Then handed the rest to Beastly. "Here, it looks like they were about to scare you with these." Then he looked around nervously. Beastly noticed and said "don't worry. No Heart and Shreeky are away. They won't be back until late tonight." Suddenly the front gate gong sounded. "I'll be right back" said Beastly as he ran through the Castle. He carefully placed the smoke bombs on a table. Then ran through the Castle and out the front gate.

"There's no on here" said Beastly to himself. Then he flinched as a large puff of smoke appeared a few feet in front of him. Then out of nowhere a fearsome looking man in a black cloak appeared. "I am the brother of Horace the Hated. Whom No Heart once defeated in his quest to acquire greater power. I am here for revenge. Let me in or suffer great consequences."

Beastly was often known for being a bumbler. Also a bit of a scaredy beast. For once he kept his wits about him. "No Heart is not here. I would let you in but No Heart informed our resident ghost to protect the Castle while he is out." Beastly was surprised at himself for coming up with such a fanciful threat. He thought of how many considered him a cowardly bungler. Now in a flash other ideas came to him as the wizard glared at him with evil yellow eyes.

'So leave before I summon my Great Grand Father's ghost on you" said Beastly. "Sir Beastly and his ghostly noble steed would love to trample you into the ground!"

"Ghostly steed indeed" sneered the Wizard. However he suddenly felt worried. For Castles were often protected by trap doors, hidden passages and magic spells. Many were rumored to be haunted. The Wizard glared at Beastly. "I will return in one hour. Have No Heart outside the gates so I can magically whip his pathetic butt. If not I will find my way inside and you will rue this day!" With a puff of smoke the Wizard disappeared. A shaking Beastly made his way out back. Noble Heart and Tender Heart were still there lecturing Hugs and Tugs. Beastly was nearly crying as he ran over to them.

Beastly told of how the wizard had threatened him. How Beastly had quickly spun a tall tale to throw the wizard off stride. 'Wow" said Hugs and Tugs as they listened in awe. Even Noble Heart and Tender Heart were amazed as Beastly repeated what had happened. Then Tender Heart said to Beastly "so where are you going to find a ghostly knight and steed to fight off the wizard?" He was anxious to get out of there.

Suddenly Tugs said "we have them right here. I know there is armor suits in the castle. Swords and other weird things too. Noble Heart is a steed, isn't he?"

Hugs laughed. "I thought he was a horsy. Beastly can probably fit into a knight's suit. Can he play with a sword without hurting himself? Can he ride a horsy without falling off?"

As Beastly tried not to tremble Tender Heart grinned. "Well Sir Beastly. Can you? Could you handle a real lance?" Suddenly Beastly regained his composure. He could not let the Cubs think he was a coward. Besides he was secretly fond of the youngsters. He had a chance to be a Hero before them and others. Also to show the adults he was no weakling. Indeed he was actually a strong Piggy.

Beastly stood tall. "Well, let's do some planning before that scary wizard comes back. I know a safe hiding place for the Cubs. They can watch what happens from my secret spy holes behind the stone wall. Oh darn. Now they won't be secret no more!"

Hugs and Tugs laughed. "You mean some of the holes we squirted you in the eye through last week?" Beastly blushed.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that!" Then he, Noble Heart, and Tender Heart hastily prepared to fend off a wizard. Thankfully the Care Bear and Care Cousin did have some powers of their own. Including their wits. In no time at all they and Beastly were ready to face an evil wizard. An epic battle of good versus evil. Also occasionally bad and bumbling versus evil.

Hugs and Tugs were safely behind the stone wall. Each anxiously peering through a peep hole. Each had some something ready to shoot out the peepholes. The simple blow guns in their hand paws ready to go into action.

Noble Heart had quickly donned some of the war horse armor. How demeaning to wear a saddle! However he had an important role to play. Beastly had some knight's equipment stashed near the doorway. Ready to be put on in a moment's notice. He would need Tender Heart's help to put on the heavy equipment.

Finally a nervous Beastly heard the outside door gong. He made sure to shut the heavy door behind him. He hoped the magical symbols on the door did their part in warding off unwanted Magical visitors. In the courtyard he stood, trying to keep his composure. Then with a puff of smoke a fearsome Wizard stood before him. Towering over the much smaller Beastly.

Beastly was used to being mocked. He stood unflinching as the Wizard mockingly spoke. "Little pig, little pig. Let me in. Or I will burn the hair off your chinny chin chin!"Beastly was ready to act. So were the Cubs behind the wall. They tried not to giggle. Hugs had been given a gift by Harmony a few days earlier. She now had her little camera nearby. Beastly had shown her a stone which could easily be removed from the wall. Giving her a little window to safely take photos from.

Summoning his courage Beastly yelled "I told you No Heart is not here. I warned you about our protective ghost! You asked for it!" Beastly ran inside making sure to secure the door. Then as the Wizard screamed threats outside the door Beastly donned a tunic. Also some important equipment. Tender Heart and Noble Heart helped him. Then Noble Heart went on all fours. How disgusting to have to walk like a normal horse again! But it had to be done.

Just as it seemed the Wizard would break in all was ready. The evil Being found himself engulfed in pungent fog like smoke. As he stood coughing the door creaked opened. Suddenly the Wizard felt a sharp jab to his midsection. He backed away from the doorway. As the smoke cleared his eyes beheld an eerie sight. A knight on a colorful horse was holding a lance. The greaves protecting his legs were impressive. The Knight's chain mail glistened despite the cloudy skies.

"How dare you to threaten this Castle" yelled the Knight. "My descendant warned you about me! My ghostly steed is ready to trample you into the dust. First I will take away your immortality with my ghostly lance. Prepare to meet thy doom!"

The Wizard backed away as more pungent smoke temporarily blinded him. The horse and rider moved ever closer to the Wizard. The horse let out a snort then whinnied in a threatening manner. Rearing up a bit as the Knight stayed firmly in the saddle. The Wizard was now truly worried. Could this indeed be a ghostly horse and rider who could send him to Hell?

"To Heck with No Heart" yelled the Wizard. He ran as the horse and knight pursued him. Then as he got painfully jabbed in the butt with the lance he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. He would always believe he had indeed encountered a ghostly Knight and Steed. He would never return.

There was relieved laughter as a panting Beastly sat on Noble Heart. As Hugs clicked away with her camera Beastly removed his helmet. Then slowly dismounted. Noble Heart got off his front hooves. "How nice to stand like a Care Cousin Horse again" he said. "Awesome riding, Beastly. You are indeed a true Knight."

Tugs laughed. "Are we supposed to bow down now to Sir Beastly?" Hugs ran over to Beastly as he stood on shaky legs. Hugs hugged the hairy Beast of a boar.

"I told the grownups you are really a good guy" said Hugs. "Not only did you save No Heart's castle. You kept an even worse Wizard from moving in. You may have saved Care a Lot. Some day you will be a good guy to all."

Tender Heart patted Hugs between her ears. "I do believe you may be right" he said. He could not have known how prophetic that was. Many credited Beastly in fostering No Heart's eventual downfall. He also had a hoof in helping defeat later foes of Care a Lot. Despite being nearly crippled by disease he was often seen playing games with Cubs and little Care Cousins. He was in essence a youngster at Heart. He was also a role model Mate and Father. Tender Heart became one of his biggest fans and friend.

Now years later in a hallway in the Hall of Hearts Beastly and Tender Heart looked at those who had gathered to hear of those days of yore. They saw wide eyed little Piggies and a wide eyed Cub. They saw adults with a look of reverence as they looked at Beastly.

'Hail Sir Beastly" said Heart Song in a musical tone of voice. Her words were echoed by those adults standing near. Sweet Treat smiled lovingly as her and Beastly's piglets carefully hugged their Father. Their Daddy was not only a hero to them, but to those gathered around them. What more could a bunch of little Piggies ask for?
