Hey guys, just want to say that I'm new here and I was typing this story on a different website. I just thought that LBT fans would be more active here. Please review and I'll upload as best I can. I did say I was new here. En

It was the next day when Chomper woke up. He yawned and stood up. He was going to go out and join with his friends.

He looked to see if Ruby was awake. But she was gone. "Maybe she already left." He said to himself. Chomper ran near the pond where he saw Spike, Cera, and Ducky eating the green food that grew along the water.

"Hey, guys." The little Sharptooth stood in front of the leaf-eaters and smiled. "Where is everyone else?" Looking for the rest of his friends. Ducky responded with a shrug. "Maybe they are still sleeping." Chomper shook his head. "No, I did not see Ruby this morning."

"They're fine. It's not a big deal." Cera said. And she was right, because they could hear the rhythmic prance nearby as Ruby, the Fastrunner, landed lightly next to the group. She stared at the group before her and said, "...What's up?" They just stood and looked at her. Deep concern and bewilderment were written on each glare.

Thick silence filled the atmosphere.

Chomper could only think about where his friend had gone during these few seconds. It wasn't the fact that she had gone in the night, but it was that she had not told him.

" ...what's up? " Cera repeated.

Ruby gave her the usual friendly stare; Her irises angled downwards as most of the gang was small-scaled.

"Where are the others?" Ducky had climbed onto Cera's bill to ask her pink friend. But when she did so, she smelled of dust.

She sneezed, blasting herself off of Cera and landing in a patch of grass blades.

Everyone seemed unconcerned about the duckbill and continued to talk to their pink friend while finishing up the morning meal.

It seemed like only a few minutes have passed before a long, cold, shriek rose up in the air. The sudden wail of distress made Chomper's blood cold.

The gang dashed in the direction of the yell and stopped in a small clearing.

Littlefoot's grandparents seemed to be looking down at something. Their eyes glittered with terror. Chomper moved closer so he could see what they were panicking about.

The children flinched in shock as they saw the longneck before them.

Littlefoot, the gang's so-called leader, was stretched out on the grass. He had one large wound across his neck. Dark red blood spilled from it. It rushed out like a fountain pouring out water into a stream. The little longneck's eyes were clouded. Small scarlet streams ran along the corners of his mouth.

Who had done this? Did a Sharptooth come in the night? Will the boy live?

Questions filled Chomped's ears. Littlefoot was his best friend...why did this have to happen? How could this happen? And what will become of the children if their best friend is dead...

Warm sunlight drifted across the cave. The bright beams flashing in the Sharptooth's eyes, forcing him to wake up. He sat up to blink the sleep out of his eyes. His glance across the cave fell to where Ruby was. The Fastrunner stretched and sat back down to stare blankly at the floor. Chomper could see the sadness in her eyes. The Sharptooth flinched as he realized her gaze met his own.

"I can't believe that had happened..." Her words were no louder than a whisper. Chomper had to lean forward to catch what she was saying.

"That morning...it...that was awful."

A day had passed since the longneck's death. The group of friends huddled together so they could mourn about their lost friend.

She wrapped her arms around her. She looked as if she was freezing.

The little Sharptooth walked over to the Fastrunner and sat down next to her. He didn't really know what to say. He was still a little dizzy himself. Finally, he managed to let out a few words.

"Come on, everyone must be waiting for us."

To his relief, she stood up and followed him out of the cave. It was a lot brighter now that they had made their way through the entrance. The sharp light made the Sharptooth's eyes sting.
