Hello.

Just some explenations at first- we were made to read and watch lord of the flies when I was in nineth grade (fifteen years old) and I was thinking that if I'd ever found it then I'd post it here. I never thought I would but when I was going through some poems and stories I wrote 2009-2013 I found it. So.. I guess I'll be publishing it. Even though almost ten years have passed since I wrote it I have to say it is quite alright. And I hope you like it too.

To what I put up

"…I found this when I went through a box of stuff from that school, I read through it. And I had shivers through my whole body…

Things that are written in cursive font like this have been for putting it up here.

"…And that's how the story about me and the other stranded boys on the island ends."

I finished the book and closed it. I had laid my arm around my daughter's shoulders, Sookie was only ten years old but had already heard stories about the boys and me many times. Now she had heard the whole thing through my newly written book for everybody else to see.

None of us said anything for a long while. I looked down on Sookie and was reminded of how much I loved her and how lucky I was to be here and have her, and she just watched the cover of my book and didn't comment it.

It was a paintinng of four boys with each spear in a djungle….

Maybe I should tell you a bit about myself by the way. My name is Ralph. When I was twelve I, along with my classmates and a boys' choir were stranded on a deserted island, somewhere in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It's been close to twenty years since then, but I could still remember everything as if it had been yesterday and that was why I had written the boys "stranded boys' war" that was due to be out in United Kingdom's book stores in the morning.

For one last time I looked at the painting that was a cover for the book and the four boys. One of the boys painted was fat, blonde and was wearing a pair of broken glasses, even if I'd never had a photo of him to show it was almost a perfect image of my friend Piggy.

Two of the other boys were exactly alike with white skin and blonde hair, SamnEric were identical twins and had never done anything without the other. That included joining Jack's gone after Piggy died.

And then the last boy, with darker hair than the others and white skin, it was me.

It had been us four at the island. Us four against Jack's gang and us four against the world. But only three of us had made it from the island when Piggy was accidentally pushed down a steep hill and the catastrophe was a fact.

"Daddy?" I was brought back to here and now when I heard Sookie's voice through my thoughts. "Why are you crying?"

I hadn't even noticed it myself. But my daughter was right and silent tears were slowly rolling down my cheeks.

"I…" I wiped them away with the back of my hand and kissed her forehead before I stood up. "I'm just so happy that I made it through and some others didn't."

"Like Piggy?"

"Yeah, like Piggy." I tucked her in. "Sleep tight my love. I'll see you again in the morning."

I went out of her room and turned the lights off after me. The next day, just like I had planned and said, the day after I had read the last part of the book out loud I stood in the bookstore telling nearer a thousand other people about what I had written.

Before I came to the part about when Piggy had fallen down that cliff I was almost certain there wasn't a dry eye in the whole room.

Not that I had ever understood why it would mean so much to people if I had written my name on the first page. But apparently it did. Because when I'd finished speaking all and every person who had been listening came, bought a copy of the book and waited in an already long line for me to take the pen and scribble down a signature on the first page before they could leave.

But as the line got shorter and shorter, I had to say I was quite relieved as I was nearing the end.

And as I saw everyone but the very last had gotten their book signed I took a relieved breath while I took the book before I noticed there were two people standing in front of me and two books to sign.

"Hi Ralph."

Already when I heard them talking two words at the exact same time I should have understood who they were before I looked up and saw the two men, about thirty or a bit younger, blonde and both exactly alike.

"Sam'n'Eric"

I couldn't help but whisper before I had even told them a single word, and watched as the both of them nodded.

"That's correct."

I realized I still couldn't see which one of them was speaking.

Then, just as I raised it was like a gust of wind hit me with a noise of that someone was whispering "reunited"

"Piggy," I whispered before I'd had the time to stop myself. "Did you… did you hear that too?"

"Of course it was Piggy." One of the twins smiled. "Why else would the wind say something about reunited?"

"Forget about the word." Said the other twin. "Why on earth would there be a wind inside of a building?"

I signed the last two books and then stood up and hugged the two boys with each arm just as we heard another gust that sounded like "reunited."

"Now, for sure." I said, more to myself than the others. "All of us are finally reunited."

Random fact (I always leave one at the end of a chapter)

Parts of the beginning especially were moved back and four. Originally it was moving back and forth about the book and about Sookie.
