A/N: DAMN,It has been FOREVER since I have written anything ( LIKE YEARS) and I was re-watching The Covenant and this just popped into my head and I couldn't shake it and the rest is as they say history. So hopefully I start writing fanfics again and in different fandoms since my list of fandoms has expanded even more since the last time wrote anything.

This is just a short/longish one-shot about my fav OC Rachael and my undying love for her and Caleb.

In short, Aaron Abbott sucks and is a piece of human garbage (but he is still fun to write) and still treats girls like dirt.

Like always I do not own The Covenant or the song I did something bad by Taylor Swift (notice how I don't mention Scott Brochette since he did not write this song)

So enjoy!

I did something bad.

Dark blue eyes glanced on either side of the smoky dimly lit and music filled bar as the visions in her head whirled around in her head as sat at bar playing with the straw currently in her glass that contained coke. She thought about adding something stronger but she knew better since the owner of the bar Nicky would never let her drink alcohol before her twenty-first birthday which she was five years shy of. The sixteen year old who normally wouldn't be here on a typical Friday night in Ipswich but as fate would have it, she knew she had to be here. Just to keep an eye on things currently going with them. The Sons of Ipswich, Rachael couldn't help but laugh to herself at the nickname most of the population of Ipswich and Spencer Academy had dubbed the four long time friends.

Rachael glanced over the pool tables where Reid Garwin and Tyler Simms were currently playing a game against Aaron Abbott and his lackeys. Rachael rolled her eyes at the mere thought of Aaron, his heavy cologne and too much hair product in his curly locks. His personalty wasn't any better, it honestly made her want to gag. He treated most of the female popular at Spencer like dirt and was a lack of a better word: Douche Bag. Rachael's blood would boil each time Aaron had stole a glance in her direction.

Then she glimpsed over at the other side of the bar, the smoky atmosphere had suddenly gotten hazier due to amount of people coming in and leaving the very crowded bar. Pogue Parry and Caleb Danvers were occupied with a game of foosball. This was a typical outing with those boys; which you could find them at Nicky's or at the Dells a popular party spot for Spencer Students.

Partying was something Rachael rarely ever did and this was out of the ordinary for her to even be at Nicky's. Even the outfit Rachael was wearing wasn't something she'd normally be wearing; a light washed denim skirt that showed off her legs and a dark flannel wrapped around her waist and oversized Queen band Tee paired with white vans that she dawned with her usual jewelry a few rings and a dainty chain necklace around her neck. Rachael's long dark hair that went down her back was styled in messy waves much different from her usual attire. Blend in. She told herself. Even her makeup tonight was darker, grungier than her day to day makeup, she thought she had gone over board with the dark kohl pencil on her waterline but somehow it made her eyes even darker (if that was even possible).

Rachael kept her gaze on Caleb a little longer than she intended, heat rises in her cheeks as suddenly his chocolate brown eyes are looking up and staring intensely right at her. Rachael looks away quickly and tries to regulate her heart rate and not to mention her breathing.

Even if it was a secret to the general population of the Spencer student body, of Rachael's true feelings for the 'leader' of the sons; Mr. Top of the class, Mr. Class president, Captain of the Varsity Swim Team and basically Mr. Perfect.

Rachael's older siblings were well aware of her crush on Caleb but Rachael refused to give details on any future they may or may not have. The future was always changing and as often Rachael tried, she couldn't control every single outcome.

Shaking the thoughts out of her head, her thoughts now focused on the lean and blue eyed brunette standing next to Caleb and Pogue. Chase Collins. Rachael heard that he transferred from Hastings after the mysterious death of his parents. Rachael was trying to keep an eye on him and often wondered what he was even planning as she couldn't see a clear future or decision on Chase's part.

A sudden crash and the loud music that was playing was currently replaced by loud yelling. Rachael grimaced as she now witnessed an escalating fight between Reid and Aaron. Boys; dumb boys. The tension was now at an all time high between the blonde and Aaron. Rachael rolled her eyes.

An ugly scowl was etched on Aaron's features and he huffed loudly as he now was currently getting in Reid's face and Reid's blue eyes glaring right back at Aaron. Then Aaron shoved Reid which resulted in Reid shoving Aaron equally as hard away from him, the pool cue still in his fingerless gloved covered hand as they backed away from the pool table.

Rachel could faintly hear Chase ask if he could help and Pogue muttered a firm No and as if on cue Caleb and Pogue were headed in the direction of the fight currently moving its way though the bar.

Caleb's large hand had grasped Aaron's shoulder roughly and pulled him away from Reid to avoid getting any worse and the older boy was now up close and in Aaron's face. His words seething and his eyes had gotten darker.

"Is there a problem?" Caleb partially growled.

Aaron's harsh features still locked in a scowl and his lips in a thin line he muttered a No and shrugged Caleb's hand off his shoulder as he turned away with his tail between his legs. He had a feeling deep down there was something seriously off with those posers. His strong distaste for the Sons circulated through his veins.

Rachael's eyes hazed over as another vision clouded her mind and once it was over a frown was on her lips and she got up from her stool, her movements abrupt but still her lithe dancer like body moved like ballerina through the crowed room, trying not bump into everyone that came into her path.

Aaron's attention was suddenly caught by the movement to his left as he watched the dark haired girl move elegantly like she walked on air. Aaron smirking to himself, as he caught up to her and tapped her on her shoulder. Rachael Cohen, was considered weird by most of girls at Spencer, hell even Aaron's on and off again girlfriend Kira Snyder had thought there was something off about Rachael and her siblings since their family moved to Ipswich five years prior.

"Little Rachael Cohen" Aaron's voice sounded smug, like he was predator who had just caught their prey " Where are you going? The night is still young, we should hook up"

Rachael forced herself not to puke just by the sound of his voice alone, she rolled her eyes and through a forced smile "Get lost Aaron, I am not interested in your bull right now" Rachael turned on her heels and seconds later as she turned as she felt a firm hand slap on her ass. Rachael took a deep breath and slowly turned back to face the ugly smile Aaron had on his face.

Slowly a smile crept on her soft and delicate face as she lifted her arm and her hand in a fist connected with the side of Aaron's face.

Aaron had screamed in pain as he held his face with one hand and his other was in a tight fist. "You bitch" He had lunged towards her, his eyes filled with tears but held such anger in them.

Rachael who was shaking her hand in pain as she let out a small yelp. She continued to glare at Aaron, he had such a hard face. She knew her hand wasn't broken, possibly sprained but before she could even process the larger figure lunging before her, a much taller and larger frame with dark hair stepped in front of her five foot tall self. Her ears were ringing as the blood pumped through her veins and her heart beat was loud she could've sworn that everyone in the bar could hear it.

She knew exactly who had come in to save her. She knew his voice anywhere as he continued to chew Aaron out on his disgusting behaviour. Thankfully Nicky had come storming over with his baseball bat and deep booming voice told Aaron and his friends to leave. Aaron grumbled loudly as he reluctantly stomped out of sight. He was now more determined than ever to expose whatever the hell was going with not just the Sons of Ipswich and now Rachael Cohen was added to his list.

Rachael barely registered that three more bodies had flanked around her. She cautiously looked up at the figures standing beside her, their expressions were pensive. Reid, Tyler and Pogue then Caleb had turned to face her towering over her, his chocolate brown eyes softened as soon as they met with dark blue shade of Rachael's eyes.

"Are you okay?" How is your hand?" Concern was laced in Caleb's velvet sultry voice, it made Rachael feel fuzzy inside.

"I'm okay, just might need some ice and some Advil " Rachael's answer came out breathlessly as she looked down and noticed Caleb had taken her small hand in his much larger ones.

Rachael winced at the dull throbbing ache in her hand but couldn't find herself to speak or think properly as Caleb gently rubbed the top of her hand and knuckles in a circular motion. Her skin felt like it was fire, warm and smouldering.

That's when she saw it, a quick flash of her future; Their future together. It felt like a movie was playing that only she could see. Hand holding, secret moments only meant for the two them, laughing and smiling faces.

"Rachael" A voice called out to her and she snapped back to reality.

"Yeah?" She looked back up at him through her long thick lashes.

"You seemed out of it for a second there, you good?"

Rachael nodded not being able to trust her own voice as Caleb was still holding her hand. Rachael fully wasn't even aware how the ice pack had appeared in Caleb's other hand as he carefully and slowly placed it on her hand. Rachael felt relief as the cold object made contact with her skin; cooling it instantly. Caleb had moved his hand off of hers and Rachael suddenly missed the contact of his touch against her skin.

"That was sick, you punching Abbott in the face" Reid's voice suddenly broke the silence. Caleb glared in Reid's direction as Reid just smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"Remind me not to mess you with you, ever" Reid mused out loud and Pogue and Tyler nodded in agreement.

"Reid" Caleb warned, he was not in the mood to deal with anymore Reid's immature thoughts or actions for the rest of the night.

Rachael sighed and quickly glanced at the boys standing around her, biting her lip she knew what had to happen next.

"Well, boys I think we finally need to have that talk" Rachael kept her eyes on Caleb as she spoke. She knew this was the beginning of everything and she knew she needed to tell them everything. "Not here and not now but tomorrow" Rachael's voice was low so that there was chance that no one could eavesdrop on their conversation.

The four Sons looked at Rachael with confusion but none of them questioned the seriousness in her voice.

If a man talks shit I owe him nothing

Unknown to Rachael currently, a certain long lost member of the covenant was watching them intensely. Rage filled his mind as he knew his had to act quickly and have a slight change in plan. Something more sinister awaited them.

A/N: Hopefully this wasn't too terrible and yeah Rachael punched Aaron in the face (rightfully deserved if you ask me) and yeah Rachael actually punched Aaron in face way back when I used to RP years ago on an old forum thread but it didn't happened exactly like this so I put my own spin on it. So I hope you like it.

Reviews still make me smile :)

Byes.
