For the rest of the school day, Apple wasn't in the brightest of moods. Everyone who adored her could easily notice, by the sorrowful look she had on her face. It went on through her classes and into lunch.

She sat her table, in bright sunlight. The light shining off of her like a halo. Glancing up, her eyes landed on the Rebel's table before glancing over at the line where Brier was gathering her food still. Ashlynn was next to her, grabbing vegetarian foods and the two gave each other small smiles. At least Brier left the line with Ashlynn, but Ashlynn went outside to eat with Hunter.

Brier glanced around the room and others glanced at her too. She took a deep breath in and marched for the Rebel's table. That caused everyone to gasp in shock at her choice as she sat down next to Raven. Even Raven was a bit shock at the sight, but she relaxed and put a gentle hand on her shoulder.

Brier's sudden choice stabbed Apple in her heart, like a part of her that she always kept had just been ripped away from her.

"Whoa, didn't see that coming." Duchess spoke.

"Hi Duchess," Apple spoke, picking up her fork and poking at her side salad.

"Well, looks like Blondie can't gossip about this," Duchess said. "Need an ear?"

"Usually you're the one who goes off about this stuff to get a better happy ever after." Apple spoke to her.

"Grimm and I have come to an arrangement about my destiny, I don't have to worry so much anymore." Duchess said to her, "So, I got space in my head to worry about other things and not so much about my fate."

"Your destiny changed?" Apple questioned her.

"Just a small scene," Duchess spoke. "Not sure how though, but if he makes it better than death I'll take it. It's still my story."

"I guess that makes sense," Apple spoke to her. "But Brier - she didn't tell me what she told Grimm. I don't know what's going on with her now."

"Well, we all got our secrets. Everyone wants to have their own little corner to retreat too," Duchess said as she peeled her orange and ate a slice. "I'm sure you got one too, so do I."

"What's yours?" Apple asked her.

"Not going to say it, then it won't be a secret anymore." Duchess told her, winking.

"Guess that's right too," Apple spoke with an embarrassed smile as she took a bite of her salad. "I just hope she tells me sometime."

"For now, give her some space." Duchess spoke as she bagged up her fruit salad. "Going to eat those tomato's?"

Apple looked down at her tray and saw that she pushed her tomato's out of her salad. Picking them up with her hand, she placed them on Duchess's tray. "For Pirouette?"

"She likes little treats, especially fresh fruit and vegetables. Got to keep her healthy," Duchess said.

"Whoa Brier," Raven spoke. "This was a pretty bold move of you."

"Thanks Raven," Brier said moments after she took a sip of her milkshake. "I think it was time for me to change sides. This year has not been Ever After perfect. I thought everything would get better as we near graduation but they haven't and I've been foolish enough to think that they would get better. But I was wrong and now everything seems to be clearer for me."

"Clearer how?" Cerise asked her.

"Thronecoming, we went to Heritage Hall and entered the stories that were there because we thought the Storybook of Legends was inside them..." Brier spoke.

She walked around in darkness for a few seconds before a light fell over her and bats flew by.

"Am I?" She asked as she barely touched a mirror.

"It worked, My Queen, the poison worked." The Mirror spoke, "Now, you are the Fairest in the Land."

"I did that, oh no." She said as guilt rushed over her as she saw the coffin where Apple was at and approached it. Brier quickly turned back to the mirror. "But I'm not the Evil Queen, I'm not even related to Snow White or anyone in this story."

"The deed was done by your hand, thus you are now fairest in the land." The Mirror spoke to her.

At that point, there was the sounds of yells and things were breaking moments before the doors were broken down. Gasping, she backed up against the Mirror as villagers with torches and pitchforks came up to her. Some had chains in her hands and all of them were very angry.

"No, this isn't my story! This wasn't done by me!" Brier cried out to them, tears pricking at her eyes. "I'm not the Evil Queen!"

They refused to listen to her, everyone slowly crowding around. Glancing over at the coffin where Apple was at, she saw the page with Apple's sleeping body. Gasping, she shoved herself threw the crowd and shoved the lid open. Grabbing the page, she disappeared.

"So, that was basically it." Brier spoke, shrugging a small bit. "Of course, I may have changed the ending. For reasons - like all of you guys freaking out."

"So, then, what really happened?" Raven questioned her.

"Remember the stuff that the book showed you on Legacy Day?" Brier spoke.

"Yeah," Raven said glancing away.

"All of that happened," Brier said to her and Raven put a gentle hand on her shoulder. Looking at Raven in the eyes, Brier could see the guilt in them.

Inside his office, Milton was writing in a blank book. His eyes glanced over to his brother, who was working on an elaborate cover piece for the new Storybook of Legends. This would be one of their hardest works and most hardest secret to keep until graduation arrives.

But it will be worth it, Milton told himself.

They couldn't go back now, the new stories were already being formed and written down on the pages. And he didn't have the strength or will to go back on his word and undo what's been done now. Especially after realizing how unfairest he has been since this all began.

Looking at the quill in his hand, he smiled at it and remembered how his father wrote stories with it. Draft after draft, paragraphs filling the pages, the stories flowing out. His brother of course, never got to see those days as when he had been born their father had slowly started to write less and less. But there were moments where Giles would find their father setting down the quill and stretching at his desk while yawning late at night.

"Giles?" Milton spoke up.

"Yes brother?"

"Perhaps... you would like to watch me write a story or two and write a few on your own? I know you never got see father do it, but perhaps you would like to?"

"I would be delighted too, brother." Giles spoke with a genuine smile on his face.
