circa. Season 2 – rendezvous

i just wanted MiSA to sail off in the sunset

He said let's get out of this town

Drive out of the city

Away from the crowds

I thought heaven can't help me now

Nothing lasts forever

Michael stared at Sara's soft features, noticing a cute freckle here and there as she finished tending to his arm.

"I know you've heard this before, but it won't always be like this." Michael told her, he wanted to assure her that they had a future together, if she would give him the honour.

"From everything you've told me, it's just getting worse.

"They can't chase us forever. The guy who caught up with us today he stops at the border and that's why we have to get across. And I have the people in place to help us do that." He emphasised on the word us because that is what he wanted. He was done pushing his feelings aside, what he felt for Sara was nothing he'd ever felt before. And that scared him shitless. This woman had no idea what power she had over him. He hoped that she would run with him. He continued, "We're meeting them tomorrow. One more day Sara. One more day. That's all I'm asking."

Michael saw the doubt in her eyes. He couldn't blame her, but he was determined to see this plan go through. And it will.

But this is gonna take me down

He's so tall and handsome as hell

He's so bad but he does it so well

While she tended to Michael's arm, she listened to every word and goddamn it, she wanted to believe him. Only god knows how she wanted to run with him the very moment they laid their eyes at each other. But she had to think rationally. If she runs with Michael, that's the rest of her life on the run, no normalcy.

Ha! As if you knew what normal meant even if it hit you in the face, Sara thought. But then, she could have a fresh start with this man. Sara smiled to herself, no matter how much she tried to remain rational she couldn't help the part of her that had faith. She saw herself with Michael on a hammock on their back porch drinking beers as he once said trying to keep her calm in amidst of the riot.

I can see the end as it begins

My one condition is

Say you'll remember me

Standing in a nice dress

Staring at the sunset, babe

"Sara." Michael softly whispered, the only person who has ever made her feel like she was the only person in this world. She knew then that he meant it. In that moment, she understood the role she had played in Michael Scofield's plan to save his brother. And she was okay with it, finally, she found peace. For the longest time, she denied herself the luxury to love and to be loved but no longer. It was real. It is real.

She looked up to see Michael silently pleader with her. She slowly brought up a hand and caressed Michael's cheek. She leaned forward, resting her forehead on Michael's. She knew that it wouldn't happen straight away, but Michael was it. he is her present and future, her happiness. She smiled, "One more day." As she closed her eyes, she heard him exhale.

When she opened her eyes, she saw his beautiful blue eyes glisten with tears. Before she could ask what was wrong, he declared his love for her. "I love you, Sara." Michael said it with so much intensity that she felt her entire body vibrate.

She smiled, holding back her own tears as her arms engulfed him tightly. "I love you, Michael."

You'll see me in hindsight

Tangled up with all night

Burnin' it down
