It was a sunny day that was perfect for a trip. The young Queen of Falena smiled brightly, having a good feeling that it would be a wonderful trip.

The sea wind was salty, but she didn't mind it. It just gave her a feeling that she was on the sea, heading to her dreaming destination. She always wanted to go there, and now she finally got the chance to do so. Although it was an official visit of the Queen of Falena to the Island Nation, because it was the homeland of her father, she was more than excited.

It was the first time she went to another nation, there's no way she didn't feel excited about it.

"Brother, we have reached Nirva Island! Hurry up and come over here!"

They would first stay at Nirva Island for a day before departing to Obel. Lady Bernadette, as the head of the delegation, would be there to welcome the Queen and the Commander of Queen Knight. Then, she and the other members of the delegation would escort the royal families to Obel.

Frey chuckled at her sister's excitement, surprised that she didn't face any seasickness for the first sea traveling. Even he and Lyon were suffering back then.

"Calm down Lym." He walked over to her, patted her head. "I'm glad you didn't suffer from seasickness."

The young Queen smiled proudly, but soon dropped her face upon remembering something.

"...I hope Miakis will be fine."

Her bodyguard, Miakis, has been vomiting since they departed from Falena. She could have rested in her room, but she insisted on accompanying the young Queen. Yet, it made her suffer more than ever.

At last, the Queen couldn't stand it anymore, immediately ordered Miakis to go to bed, or else she would just leave her in Nirva Island.

Among the Queen Knights, Miakis and Lyon were the one assigned to accompany the Queen. Galleon and Kyle were assigned to look after the palace along with a few Knight apprentices. They didn't have enough Queen Knights at the moment, so this was the only way it would work out.

"Don't worry. Lyon is taking care of her now."

He felt bad for Miakis, too. She had the worst seasickness among them. He couldn't blame her, but hopefully she would get better soon.

Their ship stopped by the pier slowly. They could see Bernadette and three more people stood by the pier, waiting for them to disembark. Lym straightened her posture, accompanied by Frey and a few knight apprentices, she disembarked in lady manner.

"Welcome to Nirva Island. It is my honor to meet you, Queen of Falena, and Prince Freyjadour. I, Bernadette Egan, represent the Island Nations Federation to welcome you." Bernadette bowed before Lym and Frey.

Lym returned a smile to the woman, bowing slightly to introduce herself. Although everyone here knew she was the Queen, she still had to show her manner. After all, she represented the Queendom of Falena.

"It's my pleasure to meet you, Lady Bernadette. I am the Queen of Falena, Lymsleia Falenas. Thank you for accepting this official visit from us."

Bernadette smiled, nodding slightly at Frey as a greeting to the prince.

It had been quite some time after they met each other. Bernadette, Yahr and Nelis helped Frey out during the time of war. It wasn't official from the Island Nation Federation, but their help was a valuable asset of the army, especially the knowledge of the battle on the water.

"It's nice to meet you again, Your Highness. Although it sounds late, I would like to congratulate you on becoming the Commander of Queen's Knight."

"Thank you. It's all thanks to you and the others. It wasn't my victory, but everyone's, because all of you were with me." Frey smiled modestly, keeping his voice low. The help of Bernadette, Yahr and Nelis weren't official. Saying it out loud could put the three into trouble.

Bernadette smiled. Then, she turned to look at the young Queen.

"You must be tired from the trip. We have prepared some meals and rooms for you to rest. Why don't we move to the inn now?" Her eyes softened when she saw a hint of tiresome show on the young Queen's face.

"Sure. Thank you for the preparation." Lym followed behind Bernadette, turning to her brother. "Brother, how about Miakis and Lyon?"

"I will arrange Adrian to take them to the inn later."

"Alright...I guess Miakis will feel a lot better if she's not on the ship."

Both let out a bitter smile. A while later, they reached an inn just a few miles from the LightHouse, Bernadette and the others brought them to a table that was full of food.

"Let me introduce our members to the delegation." Bernadette Introduced from right to left.. "This is Lady Karen from Razril, this is Constantine Reinbach VI from Middleport, and the one beside His Highness is Mr. Nala, a Nay-Kobold from Nay Island."

Karen was a middle-age woman with a kind and generous demeanor. Constantine was wearing a fancy outfit with a Rose Crest on his chest, while Nala was a cat Kobold. It was the first time Lym and Frey saw a Kobold, they both stared at Nala before realizing they shouldn't be doing this.

"W-We're sorry, Mr. Nala..."

"It's alright, Your Majesty. I understand your feelings meow." Nala chuckled, didn't seem to mind at all.

Then, they dug into the food.

The foods they served were not as luxurious as Falena's, but some foods that all of the islanders would eat, like grilled seafoods. The spices that they used made the foods really delicious. Even though it was a simple food, it tasted better than any of the food that served in the royal family. The Queen really wanted to eat more, but she restrained from doing so because she had to act politely in front of the delegation.

"This is really delicious, everyone. Thank you for the food." She was definitely satisfied with the food.

Frey took a quick glance at Lym, knowing the girl would like to eat more. Indeed the foods were delicious, unlike something they could eat in Falena. Maybe he could reserve some for later. He was sure his sister would be happy about it.

"We're glad to hear that, Your Majesty." Karen covered her mouth to hide her bright smile. "It took us a while to decide what kind of food we should prepare to welcome you and Commandeer."

"These are something we eat daily. We hope you don't mind it." Constantine, despite his fancy outfit and appearance, was surprisingly quite polite and steady. "We thought maybe you and Commander will like something aside from the foods in the palace."

"It was such a good consideration from all of you. I like the food so much." The young Queen giggled happily. "One of the purposes of this visit is to learn the different cultures of the Island Nation. It's good that I can first learn what the islander usually eat."

"We've heard that Falena is a beautiful country. Hopefully one day I can go there to enjoy the view of the Feitas River." Karen sighed timidly, regretting that she hadn't had a chance to be freed from all the duties.

"We would love to give an escort tour, if Lady Karen agrees." Frey offered, earning a happy giggling from the woman.

They chatted about the lifestyle of the islanders and the difference between two nations. Lym learned a lot from the small chatting. A later while, Bernadette decided they should end the chat, to give the Queen and Commander of Queen Knight to enjoy their night and rest.

Lym and Miakis were arranged in one room, while Frey was alone in a smaller room. Although he was the Commander of Queen Knight, he couldn't possibly stay in the same room as the Queen, so Miakis would stay with her instead. Lyon and other Queen Knight apprentices were arranged in other rooms nearby.

After settling down with Miakis, Lyon went into Lym's room as she brought the foods that Frey reserved beforehand. The young Queen cheered happily, digging into the food without bothering the manner thingy.

"How's Miakis?" Frey asked, taking a sip of the hot tea.

"She is sleeping now." Lyon answered with a bitter smile on her face. "The foods that Adrian brought...she couldn't swallow a bite."

"How about you? Did you eat?"

"Don't worry about me. I ate immediately after Adrian brought in." She chuckled. "I was starving."

Hearing that, Frey sighed in relief. At least he didn't have to worry about Lyon. He believed she would take care of herself.

"I'll have the kitchen made something for Miakis. She should be feeling a lot better after a sleep." Frey turned to Lym who was still digging into the foods, exchanging a smile with Lyon. "Lym, you shouldn't eat too much."

"But these foods are so delicious..." Her voice turned small when she met both of the knights' stares. She pouted, putting down the foods reluctantly. "Brother...I, uh..."

Taking another sip of the tea, Frey took a glance at his sister. He didn't answer her immediately. Instead, he was waiting for her patiently.

He knew something was in her mind since the chat with the delegation.

"I...uh, actually, wanted to go around the town..." Her voice was timid, her gazes moved away from the two knights. She knew her brother wouldn't agree, but she had to at least try to voice out her thoughts.

"No way."

As expected, Frey rejected her request immediately. She grunted, pouting cutely.

"Brother...please. This is my first time in Nirva Island. I want to see more about this place. Please~~?" She pleaded with teary eyes and a cute voice, tackling her brother's shirt. "This is so unfair. You and Lyon visited this place before and you're familiar about it, but I don't..."

As she continued saying, guilt started to fill Frey's heart little by little. Unknowingly, he also averted his gaze from his sister, turning to Lyon instead. Watching the siblings, Lyon couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"Brother...?"

"O-Okay...but in one condition, you'll have to stay close to me. No wondering around by yourself."

Rubbing his forehead, Frey started to feel a headache. He had to think of a way to conceal their identities, changing their clothes was the only option. Hopefully that would work. Perhaps he should inform Bernadette about this, just in case.

But, it had been quite some time since he saw that bright smile of his sister. She came here to learn, so he should probably let her look around the town.

"Lyon, I'll leave Miakis and the others to you." Patting her head, he assured the girl when he saw the worries in her eyes. "Don't worry. Lady Bernadette will protect us secretly."

"...Alright. Please be extra careful." She blushed at the intimate action.

Aside from Frey and Lym, the knight apprentice Adrian would go with them as an extra hand to protect the Queen. The trio went to the street, enjoying the absolute different view from Falena.

Lym was so excited that no one recognized her, she could go around as she wanted. Of course, she would stay close to Frey and Adrian. Aside from her identity as a Queen, she was still a little girl. She would freak out if she stayed too far from her brother.

The sight of the town was just the same as Frey remembered. It was bustling as always, and the atmosphere was completely different. Both Falena and Island Nation were good, but the culture and the lifestyle were completely different. Both were great in their own ways.

Coming all the way to a different nation was worth it. It would help both him and Lym to grow up. Honestly, they still lack the experience and knowledge to govern a nation. Luckily, everyone was there to help them to pick up everything little by little.

"Brother, over here!"

Frey walked over to Lym, looking at the food she was pointing. Knowing what his sister wanted, he just paid for the food and let her have a try. Adrian watched it and held his chuckle badly.

At last, they reached the Lighthouse. It was the symbol of Nirva Island, also acted as the necessity due to the large amount of shallow rocks and rocky islands in the area.

"So...this is the Lighthouse. It's huge!"

Frey remembered they caught a group of pirates with Bernadette during his first visit to the place. It's just like something happened not too long ago, and he knew he would remember it for the rest of his life.

"Lym, what do you think of this place?"

Lym turned around, giving the brightest smile she had.

"I love this place!" Her chuckle rang like a bell. "It's totally different from Falena. This place is so lively, and the people here are so passionate about their lives. I'm not saying we Falenas aren't passionate about lives...I just feel like they are different in some ways. How should I put it...the islanders are, hmm, rude?" With uncertainty, she turned to look at her brother. "Am I using the correct word?"

"Rude sure isn't the correct word, but I understand what you want to say. Maybe you should change it to...sincere? The islanders are sincere to their lives, as well as their attitudes." Frey looked at the view of the town. The smiles on the people's faces were sincere, the energetic side of them showed how serious they were to their lives.

The town was bustling and lively even the sun had set down, just like they were having a night party. People were drinking, chatting and some of them could be arguing, but everything of this merged into a harmonious and peaceful scene.

It was a scene he and Lym were dreaming for, hoping everyone could live under the same roof, happily and peacefully.

Lym sure saw the same thing in her eyes as a big smile spread across her face. She grabbed his arm, running down the peak.

"Come on brother, let's go!"

The three of them went to the market and tried a lot of things that they never tried out before. It was an amazing experience. Both he and Lym were excited over the joy, slowly losing the hostile towards the surroundings.

Lym stood in front of a stall, watching the fancy show performed by a group of people. Lym rarely watched any fancy show so closely. She knew there were always people performing it on the street, but because of her identity, she couldn't enjoy it like normal people.

She was too focused on the show, and that gave a chance to someone nearby –

When Frey noticed the flash light of the dagger, it was too late for him to reach her.

"Lym, watch out!"

"H-Huh?" In a blink, she was pulled by a force, falling onto the ground. A short groan sounded on top of her. In an instant, she lifted her head, seeing the knight apprentice Adrian took the blow for her, being stabbed on his shoulder.

"Adrian!"

The crowd was frightened by such a sudden event. Everyone ran away from the street, the place turned into a mess all of a sudden.

Adrian endured the pain, pulling out the dagger and wielded at the attacker. The attacker leaped away, throwing out some small blades aimed straight at Lym. The young Queen yelped, hugging her head in fear. Things happened all too sudden, she was too shock to act as quickly as she could.

Luckily, Frey flicked those blades away from reaching his sister.

"Lym, you alright?"

"I-I'm fine...but Adrian...!"

The young apprentice panted in pain, blood dropped down to the ground. The attacker was wearing a fancy mask, showing that he was one of the performers. It's clearly a man according to the body shape and height. When he saw his two attempts failed, he didn't hesitate to escape.

"Stop right there!"

Bernadette and her soldiers arrived just in time. She ordered her soldiers to chase after the attacker, while she and the remaining soldiers came near Frey and Lym, guarding them in a circle.

"Do you hurt, Your Majesty?"

"I'm alright...please look after Adrian! He protected me!"

Bernadette first checked the wound of Adrian's shoulder, using the Water Rune to do a first aid on it, then arranged soldiers to escort him back to the inn.

"Don't worry about him, Your Majesty. It's not a severe wound. I'll have soldiers to treat him." Bernadette comforted the panicked Queen. "I'm glad you and His Highness are fine."

Feeling a sudden exhaustion, Lym'e eyes started to wet. She lowered her face to hide her swollen eyes, sobbing lightly.

"I-I'm sorry...I'm sorry...if I didn't come out to the street..."

"Lym, it's not your fault." Rushing to his sister, he took her into arms and patted her back gently. "Don't blame yourself. It's me letting you out."

"No...I should have known the possible danger, yet I-I still stubbornly wanted to come out..." She snuggled in his arms, avoiding the gazes from the soldiers around. It was embarrassing. As a Queen, she shouldn't cry in front of everyone.

Hearing that, Bernadette came near and gave her and Frey a hug.

"His Highness is right, you're not the one to be blamed, Your Majesty." She smiled gently when her gaze met with Frey. "You're a Queen, but at the same time, you're a child. You have the right to learn things through having fun. It's our responsibility to ensure your safety here. Please, don't take the responsibility all by yourself."

Lym felt the irritation and sadness in her heart lifted upon the comfort from the woman. Lifting her head and meeting their gazes, she had stopped crying.

"T-Thank you, Lady Bernadette...I'm fine. I apologize for causing trouble to you and your soldiers." She wiped off the tears on her cheek, bowing to the woman and the soldiers around. They had helped them, she should at least show some manners to them. "Brother, shall we return to the inn?"

"As you wish." Frey smiled, taking her hand.

"Let me escort you." Bernadette offered with a smile.

The siblings nodded, appreciated the woman's kindness. Before Frey left the scene, he caught a glimpse of a silhouette with a striking red bandanna. Frowning, but before he could see it clearly, the silhouette had gone.

"Brother?"

He felt the grasp on his hand tightened, and it drew him back to senses. He looked at Lym, and decided to ignore it for now.

When they returned to the inn, as expected, Miakis and Lyon were waiting for them worriedly.

"Your Majesty! Commander!"

Miakis and Lyon rushed to the siblings, checking if they're injured. Miakis's face was still pale, but it was nothing compared to the safety of the Queen. Seeing the weak side of her bodyguard, Lym felt even guiltier than before.

"...I'm fine. Don't worry too much."

"There's no way I don't worry about you, my Queen!" After checking the little Queen was not injured, Miakis let out a relieved sigh. "Thanks god..."

"How's Adrian now?" Frey asked. The knight apprentice should have escorted back to the inn.

"I've checked on him. He's fine now. Doctor was sent to treat him." Lyon assured the siblings, especially the young Queen.

"See, Lym? Don't worry too much. Adrian is a well-trained knight apprentice, protecting you is his responsibility. Don't blame yourself for this, okay?"

"...Okay." Lym responded with a weak smile. Then, Miakis accompanied her back to the room.

Frey knew tonight was probably a sleepless night for her. Before Miakis went into the room, he exhorted the female knight to look after the Queen.

They decided to call it a day. To avoid the second surprise attack, Bernadette arranged some soldiers to guard the inn. Tomorrow, they would wake up early and depart for Obel.

Okay, this is for chapter 1. I have the story done half way, so I will update this as soon as I check through the typos and so. And thank you for reading!
