Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Emily was in a special area in her dad's gun range, a place for her to practice magic in peace, away from anyone. Only family had keys for the area so usually only someone with the Noceda name was allowed in. Today however, Emily brought Tracey and Heather with her.

"So, what're you going to do in this area?" Tracey asked.

"I'm going to practice my magic." Emily said, showing her training wand and spell book, "Observe."

She pointed the wand at her friends and her eyes glowed purple (Think like Barcus when he read the Basilisk's palm) and made her orange spell circle with the wand. Heather and Tracey's eyes gained a faint purple overlay that was barely noticeable, and soon the purple left, leaving her iris's as the only purple her eyes use.

"What did you do?" Heather asked.

"I saw small bits of your future. I've always been interested by the Oracle Track so it's one that I practice the most."

"Go back to the seeing or future bit, what did you see?"

"I only looked a couple hours into the future. The only thing I saw was where we're going to lunch." Emily said, "You guys want to try? You don't need to be a witch to use a training wand."

After a few seconds, Heather got up and took the wand.

"So, you think about a spell and make a circle?" Heather asked.

"Yep, I recommend you take a look through the book first."

Heather looked through Emily's spell book and made a circle motion with the wand. A light blue spell circle followed and she disappeared in a cloud of blue smoke. She reappeared a few feet away and looked at her friends.

"That... was the weirdest thing I've ever done." She said.

"Well, Illusion spells can be weird and it can take a while to get used to. If you want to know more, than I recommend talking to Luz. She told me that she's the top student in the Illusions Track." She turned to Tracey, "Come on, you know you want to."

"Fine give me the wand." Tracey said.

Heather handed over the book and wand and Tracey aimed the wand at a target. She looked through the book. She smirked and made a circle with the wand, a dark green spell circle following. The target was then covered in thorny vines.

"Wow, that's impressive." Emily said.

Tracey handed the book and wand back to Emily.

"Where did you get this from anyway."

"I got it shortly after I got my witches heart, the first Christmas I was a witch. I remember that day vividly."

The six year old was sleeping when a pointed ear poked over the edge of her bed. Two gold eyes watched the kid before pouncing. Emily was startled awake and looked at the wide smile of her cousin who stayed the night while her parents were in meetings the day prior.

"Luz, what're you doing? Don't you remember what my parents said, if Santa finds out we left our rooms he'll take away our presents."

"But I had to see my favorite cousin!" Luz said.

Luz had more energy, in her finger, than a six year old after eating a barrel of pure sugar.

"Girls! Are you up? It's time for presents!" Melissa Noceda said.

"Come on Luz! Mommy said it's time."

The sound of little feet was heard throughout the downstairs. Luz and Emily made it to the bottom step and Luz gasped.

"Mama! Papa!" Luz said, running and hugging her parents, "When did you get here?"

"We got here about an hour ago, Mija." Camila said.

"Did you really think we wouldn't be with you on a holiday?" Emperor Belos said.

"Haha, daddy looks funny." Luz laughed.

Camila and Alexander had PJ's on and Camila also had a robe on, Alexander on the other hand, had a Santa hat on instead of his mask.

"What? I'm festive." He said, making the kids laugh.

"Who wants presents?" Carmelo said.

The tree was surrounded by gifts. Gold and purple eyes got wide as the two children had to be held back to avoid jumping into the massive pile.

"Calm down, girls." Alex said, "We don't want you to get hurt. Besides, why would you want presents... when there's a giant pile of cookies in the kitchen!"

True to his word, there was a large platter of cookies on the table, both of them knowing what shapes they were in.

"They're shaped like the Coven symbols!" Luz said.

After eating, way too many, cookies it was time for them to open presents.

"How did Santa get so many here?" Emily asked.

"Emelina, it's because he's the only magical creature on Earth. He can do anything!" Luz said.

The adults sent a knowing look at each other. Sure, Santa could've done that or the Emperor's Coven could've paid for every gift. Sorry Santa, but no one was upstaging the great Emperor Belos. There can only be one favorite magical gift giver in this family. Luz was happily ripping off the cheesy wrapping paper that everyone insisted was needed.

"I got a potion set!" Luz said.

Emily started tearing into her gift, seeing her cousin getting happy. She tore off the paper and gasped.

"What is it?" Emily's mom asked.

"It... it's a training wand. I can finally practice my magic!" She said.

"I think there's something else in there." Alex said.

Emily grabbed something else in the box and smiled.

"It's a spell book."

Emily started tearing up at the memory, she promised to never get rid of this old wand. She took care of, always kept it in a place it can't get damaged, it looked almost brand knew even though it was almost a decade old. It was important to her.

"That sounds like a great Christmas." Heather said.

"It was. The crazy things we got. Where do you think Ruffles came from? She was such a tiny thing back then, fresh out of the egg. She was only about a pound back then."

"Awww." Tracey said.

Heather rolled her eyes, but still thought about how cute that little griffin must have been.

Well, I can't make a full on Christmas chapter, the story is only in early October at the latest, so I had to create a work around. I think I did a really good job on making a Christmas chapter in a non-Christmas story. Remember, 5 days. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
