Disclaimer: I don't own Mom

"I don't believe it," Christy whispered.

"Christy," Jill asked, "Are you okay?"

"Not entirely," Christy said, "I don't believe it. This is unbelievable."

"What is it," Jill asked.
She was worried about Christy. Jill had taken Christy to the doctor and since she came out 30 minutes ago she seemed to have been in shock.

"Christy what's wrong," Jill asked.

Christy took a deep breath. She looked at Jill.

"I'm pregnant," she said.

"You are? Lucky you," Jill said.

"No," Christy sighed, "I can't raise another child."

"So what are you going to do," Jill asked.

"I'm going to give this baby to you," Christy said.

Jill blinked. She had been trying for years to have a baby. Her first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. She fostered a teenage girl and her mother ended up getting her back. She had tried to have a baby 8 months before this and had zero viable eggs.

"You're serious? This isn't some kind of elaborate joke?"

"I'm as serious as a heart attack," Christy said.

"Thank you Christy," Jill said, "I can't believe you're doing this for me.

In the AA meeting Jill spoke first.

"Hi. My name is Jill. I'm an alcoholic."

"Hi Jill."

"Well today I have a big announcement to make. I'm going to be a mom."

Everyone applauded.

"How far along are you," Bonnie asked.

"I'm not," Jill said, "Christy is pregnant. She's giving me the baby."

"WHAT! Christy you didn't tell me you were pregnant. Why are you giving away the baby."

"I only found out today," Christ said, "and I can't raise another child… I want what's best for the baby and Jill is what's best for the baby."

"I could raise the baby," Bonnie said.

"I'm giving the baby to Jill," Christy repeated.
Seven months later Christy gave birth to a baby girl. She weighed 5'7.

"Congratulations Jill," Christy said, "Your daughter is beautiful. What are you going to name her."

Jill smiled.

"Her name is Kristy," she said.
