Welcome to the Season 6 glitches book! Enjoy!

-??? ???-

"London, 1977." John Constantine narrated from the window as he peered out into the city. "The tangled knot of grime, the stodgy monarchy. This collision of punk rock and aristocracy slamming into each other like two doomed worlds, this-"

"This sounds like quite the familiar story. You sure it's the era and not us your talking about?" Clarity chided, "Only 7:00 am and I've already got you reciting me poetry like a proper soul mate."

"Nothing proper about me, love." John protested with a wry grin hands shoved into his robe pockets.

"I know, it's one of the many things I love about you." Clarity smiled. "It's been a while since I've seen you smile like that. I'm glad your happy."

"Well, Why Shouldn't I be?" John challenged throwing out his arms. "You see, my soul finally belongs to me. Astra is redeemed, and—" John clapped his hands jumping onto the mattress Clarity giggling as it bounced. "And I get to wake up next to you, you lovely creature." John grinned, staring at Clarity with the most admiring look after he belly flopped on the bed. He reached out to stroke her cheek and she leaned into his touch letting out a tiny sigh. "And our sweet, Canary, if she ever shows her face. She text you where she is yet, love?" John craned his neck to look at Claritys smartphone that was in her hands.

Clarity shook her head no. As she scrolled up there were nothing but delivered messages. None of them were read yet.

"How are you feeling? Getting worried about her are you?" John asked all to knowingly. He could see it, even if she was trying to hide it. It was in the way she held the phone so close to herself, as if she were scared that if she'd let go she'd miss a text from Sara, she hadn't put it down all morning. Not that John could really blame her.

"It's not like Sara to just disappear without a word." Clarity frowned. "I thought she was coming here to meet us. I know we figured last night she must've decided Ava was in no state to Captain the ship, but it's morning. She should be up by now. She should be here with us. Sara's not a lightweight, and she's not answering me. John, she always answers me."

"I know she does. Memory serves she wasn't much better off than Ava, love. She was doin her girlfriends job helpin her walk." John denied. "Zari didn't want to risk puke on her boots if I recall."

"Still, I just wish she'd answer her phone." Clarity sighed. She looked to the door with dawning hope as it swung open only for it to be crushed at the sight of Ava and Mick.

"Ugh, Oh, Hel-lo." Ava greeted in surprise instantly noting her co captains absence. The trio surprisingly incomplete, which was a rarity in the early morning such as this.

"Oh, sorry guys." John sat up a bit more in bed. "You Uh, Missed the party."

"Wait Sara's not here with you-Uh oh." Ava cut herself off, Mick already chugging a bottle of champagne like it would burn the image of John lying in bed with Clarity from his mind. The arsonist was glad she was happy in the throuple they had going on, but Mick still hated the trench coat wearing warlock with a passion. Ava gagging into the champagne bucket Mick had passed her.

"Okay, sorry, it's fine. I'm not judging. It's none of my business how you three manage your relationship. Obviously sometimes you have to just you know have some alone time as a pair, you and him, do your soul mate thing-" Ava gagged even worse after she said that. John looked at her affronted. "It's an involuntary reaction."

"We should burn the room." Mick suggested.

"Eh, I think already beat you to it fire starter." Clarity gestured around the room at all the singe marks everywhere from where her sparking hands had clawed into the wall. Behind one of the doors there was even a full imprint of her body, all Johns fault of course. How was she expected to control her powers when she was that 'excited'? Beside her John chuckled, and this time Ava actually did vomit into the bucket.

"Ew, well someone can't handle their booze." Claritys nose scrunched and she checked her phone again. "Where the hell is Sara? Why didn't she come with you guys? Is -Is she mad at me or something?"

"No love," John denied, "She probably just had second thoughts...a-about coming here. Could be a bit hung over and it seems to be a pretty sunny day for good ole Londontown. We'll see her on the ship I'm sure."

"Oh Sara wasn't on the ship last night or this morning according to Gideon." Ava sighed, wiping at her mouth. "Do either of you know where my girlfriend is, Zari didn't come home last night."

And that's how Clarity and John found out Sara was not just missing out on a morning cuddle session, but was actually really missing. Clarity became alarmed when she found out Sara didn't drunkenly pass out in her room on the ship like they'd assumed. John was a bit calmer, urging her to relax. It was Sara afterall. She'd be fine. They go on a hunt for her rounding up the team as they go. Finding Zari asleep in some hot tub with a mannequin that had Ava written in sharpie across its forehead. Behrad was talking to a Queen's guard, Astra was playing poker and Nate was talking to David Bowie.

-??? ???-

"David freaking Bowie?" Sara's voice filtered out from a video the legends were watching on the screen back in the parlour. David Bowie having had a recording from last nights party that may have had a clue of what happened to Sara. "You're a smell fan?"

"They're something else." Bowie replied to Sara onscreen the legends all watching on.

"Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait. I gotta-I gotta let you in on a little secret, all right, David freaking Bowie?" Sara began leaning forwards as if this secret was actually the biggest in the world.

"Gideon shut the bloody thing off-" John leant forwards in the chair he was sitting in knowing full well what the surprise was, but his command came too late. The video playing for just a bit longer til it paused and that few seconds spoiled everything.

"'Cause tonight—tonight I am going to propose to my girlfriend with our boyfriend! You see this ring? You see this gorgeous blue ring, David Bowie?" Sara held up the ring to the Camera, John cursing lightly under his breath as she did so.

"Him and I went freaking tomb raiding for this thing. Belonged to some lightning goddess lost to time, means our girl can wear it even she gets all sparky and glowy and adorable. She doesn't ever have to take it off. Holy-" Sara had the biggest smile on her face as she held up the glowing blue ring. "Wish us luck."

"Does that count?" Clarity wondered slowly turning to John. "Do I...give an answer?"

"Technically I suppose, but best wait for the ring and the other proposee, eh love? Seems a bit unfair for me to hear it first. It was her idea to tell you the truth." John admitted.

"So...when you said she changed her mind about meeting us...you thought she changed her mind about proposing to me?" Clarity asked things slowly falling into place.

"I wouldn't say she changed her mind. More like got cold feet about it." John replied. "I'd of thought she wanted to get a back up ring or two. Give you ring options."

"You think that's where she went?" Clarity smiled warmly. "Giddy, keep rolling."

"Of course, creator." Gideon answered doing just that. They watched Sara get beamed up. The smile dropped from Claritys face replaced with a look of complete horror.

"I didn't feel it. How could I not feel an alien spaceship suck up our girlfriend!? She was right behind us-"

"Clarity-" John reached out for her hand. "The ship was out of your range. We were all completely sloshed-"

"That's not an excuse. I should've felt that. But I was upset about Charlie and now she's, she's, She's-" Tears gathered in her eyes because Clarity didn't know where she was.

"Okay everybody calm down." Ava ordered taking charge in Sara's absence. "Clarity that especially means you. Sara's been abducted so, Sara's been abducted. We have to go get her. Find her."

-??? ???-

"Time to get organized." Ava called as Clarity finally glitched out of Gideon's systems as Ava called the meeting to order. Her eyes were all red and puffy from crying.

"Woah, Clarity you're back." Nate commented catching sight of her.

"Girl you okay?" Zari asked her. "Sara'd understand if you need to take a bit longer. John's already got you covered."

"Yeah, I-I just needed a minute you know." Clarity replied. "Is that so surprising? Given the news."

"Well, we just thought that—" John began but hesitated. How could he say Clarity couldn't help out when that's exactly what he was about to do?

"You know, with Sara being lost, you may wanna sit this one out?" Nate suggested so John didn't have to.

"Time's always tried to tear Sara and I apart, Reality whenever it gets changed around would break us apart, why not freaking space too?" Clarity wiped at her eyes.

"Well Uh, I'm fine. If anyone wondered how I felt about my ex. My co-Captain." Ava added, "Least there's one captain still standing am I right? That could have been me instead of her."

"Babe." Zari protested lowly. "Not the time. She's lost, let's speed this up."

"Would've preferred it if you got lost stead of her." Mick grumbled under his breath. Wrapping an arm around Clarity drinking a beer.

"Uh," Ava decided to just ignore Rory's hurtful comment. "Sara is not lost. She is prefound. There's a solution to every problem including this one."

"Wow indexed." Zari nodded as she leafed through the binder Ava passed out. "Thorough."

"You are all the best of the best if we handle this logically and rationally, we will get Sara back, okay?" Ava quizzed.

Clarity nodded at Ava's words. She was right, crying wasn't going to get her back.

"Right. Well Uh this is a waste of time." John slammed down the binder. "I've got a better idea."

"Oh?" Ava asked hugging her clip board.

"Yeah, ever since I rescued her from purgatory, Sara and I have a psychic connection. It'll allow me to locate her, and everything I need is at the mansion." John replied, he walked over to Clarity pressing a kiss into her hair on the top of her head. "I'll get her back for the both of us, love. I promise." John hooked his pinkie with hers, pressing a kiss to their conjoined fingers before he sauntered towards the door.

"Damn it John that's insubordinate." Ava protested as she marked off a box on her action checklist. "But I won't try to stop you."

"Sod off with your insubordination. Like you even could, Sharpie. I've got a girlfriend to rescue."

"He's in a good mood today." Clarity smiled to herself. "I think he was excited to propose." Clarity twisted the little metal ring she'd molded and melted down the item twisted round her finger. A temporary ring til she got the real one on her finger.

"I noticed." Ava replied tilting her head.

"You know he's actually most effective when not left to his own devices. I can just-" Zari pointed in the direction John went in.

"Thank you, Z." Ava nodded at her. "You're the best babe."

"We're gonna fix this." Zari held up her pointer finger with a smile blowing her a kiss which Ava caught as she hummed a little Mhm. Checking off another box on her list for romance.

"I've got you bestie." Zari promised Clarity.

"Astra, would you mind assisting them on mission please? Typically magic works best in threes in our experience." Ava told her.

"Uh, I'm not really on the team, so..." Astra began.

"We're accepting outside help. Thank you." Ava told her quickly. Astra sighed rolling her eyes.

"Okay, I think I need to just calm down and do some "research"." Behrad did a rock on sign.

"Dude right now?" Nate protested voice raising. "Sara needs us."

"I'm freaking out here, man." Behrad replied.

"Ah Cmon. B." Ava called crossing off another check. "Ah Mick perfect timing." Ava commented as the arsonist was about to walk out chugging a beer. "I need you to check on any leads you may have in the underworld please."

"Not gonna work." Mick denied. "This whole things not gonna work. Nothing works without Sara. Sparky's not the only one who's a mess without her.."

"Okay, so what, are you just gonna drink?" Ava demanded. "That's real mature, Rory. Real mature. Way to drown your sorrows."

"Wow. You really got this team figured out." Nate noted.

"Mhm." Ava confirmed nodding her head.

"So, what do we do?" Nate asked hitting Ava's arm. "I see we've got the triple time bureau brigade going." He gestured between himself, Ava and Clarity who was looking at Silvia. As if she were just waiting for it to light up and emit a canary cry.

"Uh, we are gonna call the experts the D.E.O." Ava answered.

"Good idea. Eesh" Nate recalled.

"What?" Ava asked in confusion.

"Is it gonna get weird between you, and Clarity and Alex Danvers cause she and Sara had a fling? I mean the ex, the one night stand, and the forever girl? I'm not sure I want to be in the same room for that."

"It's— Swing a dead cat. Sara never liked to be alone." Ava replied. "I'm with Zari now."

"Sara only slept with Alex cause she didn't want to take advantage of me right after I lost my mom." Clarity insisted. "Besides, she seemed pretty excited to propose to me. Sara wouldn't cheat. She's grown a lot since her gambit days. I trust her, John does too."

-??? ???-

Back at the mansion John tries to psychically connect with Sara chanting some magical spell.

"Sorry. Did you find Sara?" Zari asked him.

"No." John replied biting the cork off a bottle of liquor. "Care to wet your whistle?" He held the bottle up flopping down on the couch.

"I'm confused. What did you learn?" Astra asked him.

John sighed. "That Sara Lance is far beyond my reach. Psychic connection only goes so far."

"You told Ava you could reach her." Zari objected not liking the fact that John lied to her girlfriend.

"Aye, I did love. And I promised Clarity. Never make vows whilst having gotten out of the right side of the bed, eh."

"Do not tell me you lied to both of our girlfriends." Zari objected.

"Yeah well, what can I tell you love?" John replied shaking his head. "I overpromised."

"You can't just give up on Sara." Astra objected. "You love her, just as much as you love Clarity. There's got to be something you can do."

"Come on." Zari sat by John's side. She tried to put her hand on his arm. "Anything?"

"Look," John got up before her hand could make contact. "Aliens took her, all right? To space. This is really not my area of expertise. Now if it was a ghost or a demon, or even a handle of whiskey, I could help you out with that, but I'm sorry. All right? I'm an astrologer and you need an astronomer."

"What an ass." Astra complained.

"Yeah he does have that going for him." Zari replied. "Don't tell my girlfriend I looked. She gets uber jealous."

-??? ???-

"I don't need a win." Ava protested listening in on the coms to Behrad and Mick. "Clarity needs a win. We all need a win. This isn't about me. Oh. My. God." Ava complained to Nate. "Don't give me that look."

"What look?" Nate asked.

"You know exactly what look." Ava replied.

"You'll feel better not bottling up your emotions look." Nate insisted.

"I'm not bottling them up. I just don't want to talk about them." Ava replied.

"Okay." Nate agreed. "I'm just gonna say one thing. You have not asked Clarity how she feels about Sara's and John's proposal once and it is the Captain's duty to make sure that her crew is okay. I know your Sara's ex and John's not exactly your favorite person so that makes this a little awkward but it is your job to talk to her now."

"I am setting aside my feelings to focus on getting Sara back. There is nothing Clarity will be more grateful to me for than that. Okay? You should too. She can't get herself focused. So we have to."

-??? ???-

"I was sent to earth to kidnap the quintessential human." Gary explained to Sara.

"Spartacus." Sara guessed.

"Oh no, no, no, no, no. You." Gary protested. "The final choice. It came down between you and Clarity. The Paragon of Purity or the Paragon of Destiny. At first I was going to take her, do a little best friend tardis trip through space and time but those pesky meta powers of hers, I got worried she'd get sick or do something crazy like take control of the ship. So I took you instead. But don't worry I don't eat humans. Anymore." Gary looked down at his shoes.

"Terrific." Sara replied.

"The point is, I couldn't go through with your abduction because I fell in love with you, and Clarity and John. Watching the love you three share. You make it work even with Ava who's your ex, and who's amazing, constantly on board the ship. It wasn't just you guys either, I fell in love with all humans."

"Yeah, well that's funny because I still feel very abducted, Gary." Sara complained.

"Well, my boss, Kayla, found us. But I remained loyal. That's why I saved you." Gary explained.

"You saved me?" Sara demanded.

"Yeah! I rigged the pod to open with your handprint." Gary explained.

"Okay—Gary where are we going?" Sara demanded.

"No clue. Kayla doesn't trust me anymore. I don't blame her." Gary frowned.

"Yeah, well, you and I are also not okay." Sara complained. "Do you have any idea how wrecked Clarity and John must feel right now? The pressure that Ava's going to be under with me gone? The misery Mick will drown himself in, the weed Behrad's gonna smoke? The optimism Nate is gonna hide behind? I mean yeah, I'm sure they're all pretending to keep it together for everyone else's sake. We're a team, we're family thats what we do, but inside, Clarity and John especially must both be dying."

"Stop. Stop. It's torture to even think about what Clarity or John are going through." Gary replied. Grabbing the pipe Sara had been using as a weapon this whole thing. "Do me in, I deserve it. I've destroyed the very thing I most stan. I betrayed one of my closest most truest friends, she'll never forgive me again."

"Knock it off. Yes she will." Sara grabbed the pipe back.

"She will?" Gary asked her.

"She will." Sara confirmed. "Because you're gonna help me get home to her and John. Now tell me everything you know about this ship." Sara ordered him.

"Well... when you first met, you were all survivors, struggling with each of your demons. But any fool could tell you three were meant for each other."

"This spaceship, Gary." Sara protested.

"Oh."

-??? ???-

John started chanting in Arabic after Esperanza Cruz drank the chrysalis smoothie. Clarity watched what was going on from the waverider systems.

"I can feel him." Esperanza informed the team. "I found the alien. A lot dweebier than I thought."

"That's Gary." Clarity almost smiled, but the hurt she felt from Gary betraying her prevented her from doing so.

"Bloody Crowley was right." John whispered to himself.

"I can sense him." Esperanza said. "He's worried and wants to come down to Earth. It looks like he's trying to help Sara. He feels guilty...guilty for betraying one of his only real friends."

"Oh, I just need to step into the Sigil and find her." John struggled to even take a step forwards. It was a challenge for him just to maintain the spell. He yelped in pain as the sigil shot up some energy when he tried to enter.

Clarity glitched out of the ships systems to his side. Eyes wordlessly asking what Zari was about to.

"John, are you okay?" Zari asked the warlock.

John groaned in major pain. "Spooners connection is unstable. I'm giving it everything just to maintain it."

"I'll do it." Ava insisted shoving Esperanza's hat into Nate's chest.

"No, Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you crazy?" Nate demanded grabbing Ava's arm. "You'll kill yourself. Look what's happening to John." Nate pointed to the warlock who looked like he was getting the life drained out of him, the warlock using all of his magic, all of the power he possessed to keep the spell going. To find the woman who had the other half of his heart. He couldn't lose her. Astra was right, he loved her just as much as he did Clarity. He wasn't letting her go.

"It's Plan B, Nate. Embrace it." Ava told him going to run up to the forcefield but instead she bounced off it. "Ah!"

"Ava! Babe, oh my god." Zari rushed to her girlfriends side.

"John what the hell!? Why couldn't she get in?" Astra asked.

"Astral projections an art." John managed out. "It's not as simple as just stepping inside. It take takes focus, concentration, you have to have the know how to force your spirit, your energy out of your body."

"Then it looks like it's time for plan C." Clarity straightened up, eyes glowing lightning crackling.

"What? No," Ava protested, "I'm the captain. This is my responsibility. Just tell me how to focus my energy or whatever."

"There isn't time. Besides, she's my future fiancé, I'd say that trumps a work relationship wouldn't you?" Clarity asked. "I've astral projected loads of times, in my own meta sort of way. This is just..a little more magical than I'm used to. I think I can glitch her through, use it like a portal if I can link our energies. I've never glitched anyone while I'm in my electric form but...it's worth a shot."

"Clarity-" John began stepping towards her. "Don't, let me, alright? I can-I can do it. I can find her that plan...it's too dangerous. You could die."

"Your doing enough already, honey. It's high time I do more than just hide away with Gideon. I want to do more than find her, I want to save her now, I swear I will. Just keep the spell running...I'll bring our love home."

"Clarity, you'll be glitching your lightning-your soul through space time. If that projection portal closes and your energy is still on the other side-"

"I'll slowly die out on the other side. I know." Clarity nodded. "But John...we have to try. I love you. Here I come Sara..." Clarity breathed taking a step into the sigil. Once she was in her eyes went white like John's and Esperanza's. Her electricity hummed across her and everyone watched as a lightning silhouette of Clarity rose out of her body and then disappeared.

Clarity went on the alien ship in her lightning form. She searched and immediately felt the familiar hum of electricity in Sara's body. It was slowing, it felt like she was dying...Clarity flew to her lightning passing through the chamber doors. She was face to face with Sara who was starting to freeze and fast. Her breathing already shallow.

"Sara!?" Clarity worried. "Sara! I'm here, I'm here, look right in front of you."

"Clari..." Sara didn't have enough breaths to make it to the end of her name. "...wait how are you...are you here?" Sara struggled to keep her eyes open beginning to close them.

"John, he came up with a spell to lock on to your energy. I came to come get you." Clarity smiled at her, reaching out her lightning starting to melt the ice off of Sara. But the temperature was starting to adjust for Clarity's added heat. Clarity shivered as her form started to freeze too.

"No," Sara whispered with the lightest shake of her head. "Clarity go, before it's too late, you can't be in here. It's...too cold for you to be using your powers pachirisu. You'll turn solid, you'll shatter."

"John, you doin okay there man? Maybe we should Uh...call it quits...while you still got some color left." Nate proposed back on the waverider watching the warlock in concern.

"If I stop now I could lose them both." John denied, getting sicker by the minute, but he was too stubborn to let something so trivial as dying stop him from saving the women that he loves most in this world.

"I won't leave you here." Clarity denied talking to Sara. Voice pixelated and staticky as she spoke. "I-I can glitch the control panel...if I can turn off this cold...open the door...get you somewhere warmer."

"It's Alien tech," Sara struggled. "You always say it gives you a hard time. Even if you could, Clarity, sweetie it's too cold for you to be here. You'll die."

"But if I leave you here like this then you'll die. I can't let that happen. Not when I promised John." Claritys voice cracked. "Not when I haven't even told you yes."

"Yes, to what?" Sara asked in confusion.

"To your proposal, of course I'll marry you. It's yes a thousand million quadrillion infinitesimal times yes you gorgeous Canary you. We'll get married you, John and I. As soon as I get you home. I've already designed my dress." Clarity tried to grab Sara's hand but her lightning just kept passing through her.

"I love you, Sara...come back to me." Just as Clarity's hand made one solid grab, when she'd glitched Sara's hand into her own, she felt a horrible wind on her face and suddenly she was sucked back. She lost her grip on Sara, falling back through the portal. Zari switched gears once Clarity fell through blasting John with wind.

"I had her..." Tears gathered in Claritys eyes. The engagement ring in her hand holding it up for all to see. She glared at Zari her lightning crackling viciously. "I fucking had her!"

"Oh my god..Z.." Behrad put his hands behind his head. See this was why he wore the totem. He could feel himself stressing again, he needed another hit.

"They were killing themselves." Zari reiterated looking from Clarity to John. "We had to stop them."

Back on the alien ship Sara held the metal ring Clarity had twisted and melted for herself. The lightning having dissipated off it now that Clarity was gone. Sara tapped it, it was sharp. She made an X on the door the ring slid on her finger. She was going home. She had to get back to her loves. Clarity might have failed to physically save her, but Sara'd regained the strength to fight. Her hope was renewed, she had a reason to keep fighting. Two reasons.

And that's the end of my coverage of episode 1 until I eventually officially write book 6! Don't worry there are still so many scenes to add. Canon and original when the time eventually comes. What did ya'll think? I know it probably wasn't as good as a real glitch book chapter, but like this was something wasn't it?

1. What did you think of my coverage of these episode 1 scenes? Be honest. Tell me your thoughts.

2. Which scene was your favorite? Did you have a favorite?

3. What did you think of John, Clarity and Sara being together?

4. What should John, Clarity and Sara's ship name be?

5. What did you think of Ava and Zari being together?

6. What should Ava and Zari's ship name be?

7. Did you like Clarity's engagement ring? (Ava's is butt ugly in legends canon. Like Sara why?)

8. What did you think of Clarity and Sara switching rings? Slipped right off each other's fingers as they're hands were forced to slide apart. ? Clarity got so close.

9. Think Astra ships Clarity John and Sara?"

10. Will Clarity ever forgive Gary for this betrayal? Girls been betrayed by close friends far too many times.

11. How'd I do with Ava? She's...I really despise her character so writing her is super hard for me. Give me your honest opinion how'd I do with her?

12. What did you think of Clarity and John almost dying to try and save Sara?

13. What did you think of Sara's talk with Gary?

14. What did you think about Gary being an Alien? Do you like this change to his character or no?

15. What do you think of Esperanza? I know we just met her but she seems kind of cool I suppose. Her interactions with Constantine so far totally have me thinking of Zed. So, I'm thinking she's a psychic alien or like part alien but looks human. What are your theories?

16. As someone who despises Ava's character cause I don't think she really has much of one other than *is Sara's bossy girlfriend who has a podcast, and a serial killer obsession* a highlight of this episode was having her be presented with her head in the toilet. How mean of me is that? What do you think of Ava's character?

17. What do you think of the theory of Astra being Johns daughter? Personally I hate it. What are your thoughts on it?

18. Should I bring charlie back in the real book 6? She left so abruptly. I know the actress wanted to move on but Charlie was such a fun character!

19. Are you excited for my coverage of episode 2? I think thursdays will be my update days for this book.

20. What do you think of this book? Is it something you'd like me to continue doing? Be honest.

21. Anything else you'd like to ask, rant or tell me!
