"You want to know what I think?"

Olivia poured her moonshine in a glass and ignored Fitz. He was upset that she was helping Mellie with her campaign.

"I think you don't want to be happy."

"Aren't you smart." Olivia said, sarcastically.

"You come from a great family, and you're always complaining about everything. I don't know how your mom and dad tolerate you."

"Do you think I was happy living with a paleontologist and a housewife?"

"You had it a lot better than me."

"Those frilly lace dresses and the dinosaur figurines everywhere. I wanted more than a boring existence. I thought becoming a crisis manager would give my life some meaning. I will always crave power."

"You don't want Vermont?"

There was a knock at her front door. Olivia looked at the peep hole and saw Eli and Maya. She was holding a pan. Her weekly casserole that she insisted on bringing to Olivia. Maya was always complaining about Olivia not having food in her refrigerator. Eli was standing next to Maya with a new crossword puzzle. Olivia let them in her apartment. They greeted Olivia and Fitz with a smile.

"Well, the President is here. I hope you like casserole." Maya said.

"And crossword puzzles." Eli said.

"I'm making snickerdoodle cookies for the dinner party. Do you want me to bring you some Livvie?"

"I'll take some." Fitz said.

"I think you and Livvie are a great couple." Maya said.

"It's too bad she's not following me to Vermont."

"You're not Livvie?"

"I don't want to live in Vermont."

"Why are you determined to live a life you have never lived?" Eli asked.

"You have everything, and you don't even know it." Maya said.

"I think that somewhere in another life you are looking for what you have right now. You should really appreciate what you have Livvie, because when you don't have it anymore, you don't know how many lifetimes you will have to live to get this again." Fitz said.

"You want a life with me in Vermont after your presidency...that's what you want."

"I shot Maya on a pirate ship. That changed everything for us."

"We wanted to be better for you Livvie." Maya said.

"Okay. I guess I can be happy in Vermont."

"Great, now let's get some casserole. Fitz said.

The End
