Episode 2: Ciel's Dream

Once Ciel and Gadget, along with their unexpected passenger, they disembarked from the Shrine Isle and made their way to a island called the Sailor's Island that was a fair distance away from where they were. It was a favorite location for many sailors that roamed the skies and a hub where information can be exchanged under the flag of neutrality. It was a great place to learn about new locations to explore for an aspiring adventurer like her.

Besides, it would be a good place for the young man they had found sealed away deep within Shrine Isle to rest and recover.

Ciel drove at the wheel on the bridge while Gadget was down below watching over their unexpected discovery. Ciel was still trying to process all the events that happened today, first she nearly fell to her death if Gadget had not saved her (she'll never hear the end of it from that chatterbox now), then there was that discovery that they had found so deep within the guts of the ruin, an actual real life Gigas! Well, so they assumed given what the information that capsule had told them. For all they knew, it could be completely bogus information.

She still found it hard to believe that young man was really a Gigas in human form, especially since all legends that she had heard about the Gigas were great weapons of mass destruction and looked more like giant monsters and animals than anything. So she was quite skeptical about the whole thing, but his clothes on the other hand were a possible sign that the mythical myths about a long-lost seventh moon-the Black Moon-really did exist and there was a Moon Civilization for that moon too. Her Grandfather could have been right all along about the existence of both.

"Ciel! He's awake! You better come down here!" Gadget called out to Ciel from below deck from the horn that they use for communications on the ship.

"Understood, I'll be down in a sec!" Ciel quickly halted everything to stop the ship from moving, allowing it to bob up and down in the air. Once satisfied, she hurried down to the lower deck.

The young man felt incredibly lethargic and weak, he also felt a bit disoriented as he slowly opened his eyes and looked around with confusion. This wasn't Soltis or at least the place he last remembered when he had been imprisoned by the Silvites and left there to be plunged into the Deep Sky along with Soltis, however it would seem fate had other ideas and somehow against all odds lived. His memory of what happened prior before his capture and eternal imprisonment was completely blank, whatever those Silvites did to him, it clearly muddled with his head, especially with the pounding headache he feels. He wonders there had been torture or experiments done on him? It would explain for his vast memory loss.

A barrage of questions barreled into his head, who was he? Why was he in Soltis at the time? Why did the Silvites capture and imprison him?

Did something happen to him while he was unconscious? More importantly, how did he even get here?

He heard something that sounded like humming but it sounded robotic and vibrated with an echo, curious, he forced himself to sit upright on what looked like a worn-down sofa with a blanket covered over him. It wasn't the best quality but he did appreciate the thought behind it. He moved his legs side wards so they were facing forward on the sofa, he tried to stand up but his legs still felt like jelly so he ended up sitting back down on the sofa.

He looked around to find...an automaton? In the kitchen seeming to be cooking something.

He raised an eyebrow, first time he had seen an automaton act so...human-like, especially one that hums happily.

When the sphere-shaped automaton turned around, it seemed shocked at what it saw.

"Hey! You're finally awake! I've got to tell Ciel about this! Oh, you're probably really thirsty right? Hold on!" Gadget cheerfully greeted the confused man before quickly hovering back to the kitchen.

Within a few seconds, he returned with a metal cup filled with water. "Here you go. Some water for you, okay, stay right there. I'm going to go tell Ciel that you're awake!"

And once again the automaton zoomed off again. The man gazed at the cup of water with slight suspicion but decided since his throat felt incredibly parched from being trapped inside that wretched thing, he would take the chance and drink. Picking it up, he brought it to his lips and swallowed the water in one whole gulp.

It felt so refreshing to him and his throat felt much better now than it had previously.

When the automaton returned, it came with a young girl who looked around physically his age maybe even one year younger.

"Hey! So you're finally awake! I'm glad, how do you feel?" The girl beamed brightly.

The language she was using was thankfully within his range of understanding. "I've felt better-right now I feel like I've just come out of a tornado."

Her smile softened slightly. "I can imagine, I can't believe we actually found you still alive."

"So it's true...I really did end up being captured by the Silvites, damn it, I must have been careless."

"Uhhh..." The girl seemed a little nervous and coughed to clear her voice. "So...I'm not really sure what to ask you first. I have so many questions for you but...I don't want to push you into answering anything you don't want. So feel free to say so if you don't want to talk about something."

The man seemed to blink in surprise.

"You can ask me anything you want, if it is within my knowledge to answer."

"Oh, good! If you have any questions to ask me, go right ahead, it's only fair if we're exchanging information like this. So for example I ask a question and then you can ask me a question, sound fair?"

"...I would appreciate that. If I may have permission to ask first...were you the one that saved me from the Silvites?"

"Huh? Well...if you mean we broke you out of that capsule you were in, then yes? Both Gadget and I did that. But we didn't meet any Silvites. It's been thousands of years since the 'Rains of Destruction' happened, all the Moon Civilizations have vanished since then-including the Silvites."

"I...see. It truly has been that long? I really would have died there if you hadn't rescued me when you did then, thank you."

Ciel blushed faintly. "Aw don't mention it. I couldn't just leave you there, I'd never live with myself. I have something to ask you too...Are you really the Black Gigas?"

"...Excuse me?" He blinked in pure shock at the question.

"Sorry! I know this seemed like a really crazy question to ask! It's just...the capsule that we found you in...it said that the person inside it was labeled the 'Black Gigas'. It didn't give any other information than that and the person we found inside was you. So we just assumed, I'm sorry." Ciel flailed slightly.

Well this turned into an even greater mystery, why did the Silvites label him as the 'Black Gigas' if he wasn't? Could they have made a mistake? Even advanced civilizations like theirs are bound to make some mistakes over time. The creation of the Gigas were a prime example of that.

"Oh. So that's why you asked. To be completely honest, I don't remember a lot of my past. The last memory I have remember is the Silvites capturing me and I think there was also...pain...I think? I do remember them forcing me into that capsule and leaving me to be buried there for an eternity and then...nothing. I think the Silvites did something to me when I was captured and it's caused my memory to become so fragmented and broken. So I honestly couldn't give you an honest answer even if i wanted to."

He then continued, crossing his arms cover his chest, "However, I find it very hard to imagine that a Gigas could have a human form. As far as I know, Gigas are meant to be giant artificial constructs created through the scientific knowledge of the Moon Civilizations and have no free-will of their own. They're slaves to their master's wishes whoever holds the Moon Crystal that controls them. How could I be a Gigas if that's the case?"

"Okay, that's a fair answer. Do you remember what happened at the Shrine Isle at least?" Ciel asked. "You used a spell to help us escape from the two golems that were chasing us."

The young man looked thoughtful for a moment as if trying to remember before shaking his head. "Nope. I don't remember. What's a Shrine Isle anyway?"

Ciel blushed with a look of embarrassment. "Well I remember it! You even grabbed me without my permission and carried me like little kid!"

"Ah...I'm sorry?" He apologized with while raising his hands up in surrender. "It sounds like I used a spell to aid you but I really don't remember what happened. I'm sorry if I offended you."

Ciel sighed deeply. "I'm not offended. I appreciate that you saved us, I really do. I just want some answers for all the weird stuff I have seen today. Even that teleport spell, I know for a fact that none of the other six branches of moon magic has that among their many spells. So that means you were using magic that no one has ever seen in thousands of years!"

"Technically I had to fly all the way back up," Gadget huffed. "No fair, I wanna teleport too!" He then whined childishly.

"So you really don't remember anything at all about your past?" Ciel asked.

He shook his head. "Nothing." He then raised his head up as if something popped into his head. "Oh! I do remember I'm a Blacknite! But...that's the only other thing I can recall."

"I see. Well that's unfortunate, we were kinda hoping you'd tell us more about yourself." Gadget sighed in defeat.

"Wait, you said that you were a Blacknite. What does that mean?" Ciel asked.

"That's the name of the people who were citizens of the Black Moon Civilization, so I guess if I remember being a Blacknite-that makes me one too."

"...Then it's true...Gadget! It's really true! Grandpa was right all along! There really was a seventh moon all this time! The Black Moon Civilization did exist! It's not just a myth!" Ciel exclaimed excitedly.

"...When you said all the Moon Civilizations disappeared after the Rains of Destruction...does that mean my people ended up being washed away too?"

"Oh...I'm sorry...I got carried away in my excitement. If it's any comfort, no one knows for sure what happened to the Black Moon Civilization, not much was ever known about them, let alone any proof to confirm or dis-confirm their existence. There might be a chance that your people survived somehow, it's just no one has ever discovered them yet."

"So it's a complete mystery? It's possible my homeland may have survived somehow?" He asked earnestly.

"Well Grandpa always said that 'only those that dare to go beyond the horizon will ever truly know Arcadia's secrets'. It's always been my dream to unlock all the mysteries that exist in Arcadia, not just for me, but for the memory of my Grandfather too-someone who is very special to me and made a promise that I would never give up seeking the truth to hidden secrets of our world that time has forgotten and unearth them back into the light once again. To honor the memories of those who came before us."

"That sounds like a lovely dream. Your Grandfather must have been such a role model for you." The young man softly smiled.

"He really was." She sniffed. "He was my inspiration, my hero, and I still miss him so much, even after three years."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring back painful memories for you."

Ciel shook her head. "It's okay. I still have his book that he recorded all his findings and discoveries as the greatest treasure that he gave to me-that and my love for history of the Old World."

"Hey...I've just realized this whole time we haven't known your name, Mister." Gadget realized.

"Holy moons! You're right! That's completely thoughtless of us! I'm so sorry! We never introduced ourselves! I'm Ciel Hawke and this here is my best buddy, Gadget. He's an automaton."

"You don't say," The young man playfully replied.

"Hey! Don't make fun of me! I'll have you know I'm a VERY advanced automaton!" Gadget puffed some steam out of his sphere body in retort.

"It's nice to meet the both of you, Ciel, Gadget. Um...this is going to be a little embarrassing for me to admit but...I don't remember my name."

"Seriously?! You've even forgotten something as important as your name but remembered you were a Blacknite?" Gadget was astonished.

The young man laughed sheepishly in response. "Yeah...I don't understand it either."

"Well, that's no problem. We'll just give you a new one until you can remember your old one." Ciel cheered. "Hmm...Has to be something good...Hmmm Black Gigas maybe?" She teased playfully.

The young Blacknite gave a look of massive disapproval.

"Hahahaha! Sorry, I couldn't resist! Your face was priceless though!" Ciel cackled.

"I'm glad you're having fun at my misery." He sarcastically retorted.

"Okay, I'll be serious now, I promise," She calmed herself down before she ended up in hysterics and began to think more seriously about possible names. "Hmmm...What about...Aster?"

"Aster?" The Blacknite repeated with curiosity.

"My Grandpa told me that it means 'Star' in old Purlite."

"Purlite...That's the name of the people from the Purple Moon Civilization isn't it?"

"Yup. I always thought it was a really pretty name and you have purple hair, so I thought maybe it was a good match. Uh...do you hate it? I can always think of something else." Ciel asked.

"No...I actually like the sound of it. Very well, from here on, please call me Aster."

"Okay then, nice to meet you too Aster!" Ciel beamed brightly.

"Ah, that reminds me, do you guys know what this black stone is on my head is?" Aster pointed to the Black Moon Crystal on his forehead.

"Wow, you really don't remember anything at all huh? We're pretty confident that's the Black Moon Crystal." Gadget answered.

"Huh?! The Black Moon Crystal? But-! How did it-? Why do I have it?!"

"Your guess is a good as mine, buddy. When I tried to remove the crystal from your head, it decided to go crazy and next thing I knew we were being chased down by Silvite golems!"

Aster blinked in confusion. "I am so lost. Why would the Black Moon Crystal be attached to me? Would that mean there really is a Black Gigas somewhere in Arcadia?"

"Like I said, I know as much about this as you do." Ciel shrugged. "Either way, I'm only interested in exploring ruins and unlocking the mysteries of Arcadia. I don't really need or want the power of a Gigas. So it's all yours as far as I'm concerned."

"Well I don't want it either! I don't know why the Silvites labeled me as the 'Black Gigas'-probably some sick joke of theirs-but I have no interest in that kind of power either, I just want to go home."

Ciel smiled. "Good to know that we think alike huh?"

"Have you tried taking it off yourself?" Gadget asked.

Aster attempted to take off the Black Moon Crystal attached to his forehead but alas, he couldn't. "Nope. It won't even budge an inch. It's literally stuck to me as if it's part of my skin. Unless I actually wanted to tear it off by force, I don't think it's coming off. Do you think I should?"

"Yikes! Please don't do that! I mean look at it this way, at least no one knows the Black Moon Crystal even exists so as long as we keep our lips sealed and keep it between us then it'll totally be fine! I mean, if anything it means they can't use the Black Gigas because you're currently the owner of the Moon Crystal." Ciel flailed her arms and rambled on in fear that he was actually serious about using force to remove it.

"Heh, I'm joking. I'm not going to tear my face apart just to try get the moon crystal off me as much as I want this thing off. You did make a good point though. At least this way, it'll be safe from those would otherwise abuse the power of the Black Gigas-if it even exists. So maybe this is a blessing in disguise." He chuckled.

"That's one way to look at it," Ciel smiled.

"Ciel, you said that you plan to explore the whole world of Arcadia to discover forgotten truths and uncover the secrets of this world right? Then...is it alright if I travel with you? Maybe we'll find out what happened to my people and what really happened all those years ago. Perhaps we'll even find a way to remove this Moon Crystal from me."

Ciel softly smiled. "Yeah, of course! Don't lose hope on finding them. My Grandfather believed his whole life that the Black Moon Civilization were more than just a myth-that they existed-and still exist to this day. I think if he was here today, he'd tell you the same thing. We'll go find the truth together! And we'll prove that they did live and maybe even are still alive to this day!"

"Thank you." Aster nodded with renewed hope in his heart.

"Alright! To celebrate our new crew member, let's have a big feast tonight! Just leave the preparations to me!" Gadget cheered.

"Do Automatons eat? I'm surprised he knows how to cook." Aster asked innocently.

"Heh heh, this is kinda embarrassing but I'm a disaster in the kitchen so Gadget does all the cooking here."

Aster couldn't help but stifle a laugh to stop himself from laughing in front of Ciel's face.

"Hey don't laugh, you jerk! You're just as terrible as Gadget!" She threw a pillow at Aster while Gadget returned to the kitchen to work on their special feast for tonight.

Later that night, Aster feeling a lot more stronger and better now, managed to reach the deck to look at the starry night sky with the silver moon shining down.

He couldn't help but feel a chill of fear looking at it. He really didn't know why though, if he knew before, it was probably before he had lost his entire memory of who he was. He remembered he was a Blacknite but he couldn't even remember his real name let alone any other important pieces of his memory.

He greatly appreciated the kindness that Ciel and Gadget had shown to a complete stranger like him. The big 'celebratory feast' that Gadget boasted about wasn't that grand as he made it out to be but he really did enjoy his time talking with them and Gadget's cooking was really amazing.

Over the course of dinner, they talked a bit more about what the world was like today and what Air Pirates were. He had no idea there were such things as Air Pirates, they didn't exist in his time-or perhaps they did and he forgot that too along with everything else.

He learned that there were two kinds of Air Pirates in the world, the Blue Rogues and the Black Pirates. The Blue Rogues are the much more benevolent kind of air pirates, only attacking armed warships like the ones from Valua and Black Pirates and taking their booty. They would never fire upon civilian and merchant ships and they would always lend a hand to help to other Blue Rogues and those attacked by Black Pirates.

The Black Pirates on the other hand were the exact opposite. Unlike the Blue Rogues, they would attack any airship within the area, especially merchant ships and even civilian airships if they deemed they had valuables on board. And they certainly didn't care about any causalities or killing people caused by their antics other than their own crew perhaps.

He also learned of Valua and the infamous Imperial Armada at their disposal. From what Ciel told him, they were serious trouble and they've been becoming much more militant and aggressive towards other nations over the last few decades.

So much has changed since the Rains of Destruction washed away the 'Old World' as most people of today would call it. The new world he has found himself in felt so alien to him-who came from a completely different era. He looked down at his hands deep in thought and brought one of them to gently touch the Black Moon Crystal that he recently learned was attached to his forehead.

What Ciel said before about the capsule they had found him inside labeling him as the 'Black Gigas' greatly worried him more than he let on earlier. Of course he still firmly believed that he was no weapon of mass destruction. The idea that a Gigas could have a human form was ludicrous to him. But then...why did he have the Black Moon Crystal that was essentially attached to his body? Why was it even there to begin with? And why couldn't he remember anything about his past? Like his childhood or even memories of his home? Why can he remember only certain things and not the ones that should be the most important and dearest to his heart? Did those Silvite monsters do something to his body before they threw him into that capsule and left him to rot away in that place?

From what he barely remembers, he retained some of his common knowledge of the 'Old World' that he hailed from, for what little worth that knowledge had now in this time and age. When it came to his knowledge on Gigas, he only knew of five Gigas that were created by the other five moon civilizations that at the time.

It was irony that it was their own creations that ended up destroying them in the end. The Rains of Destruction that came not long afterwards only helped to finish the job.

Could the Silvites have made their own Gigas too? The Blacknites and Silvites were the only two Moon Civilizations that didn't go to war so he couldn't see either of them making a Gigas of their own unless they had an ulterior motive. He didn't know what the Silvites' reasons for not taking part were-but from what he remembered about his own people, the Blacknites were not war-mongers and have no love for any kind of violence. So the idea that they would make one of those monstrous abominations was completely out of character for them, but cold sheen of the Black Moon Crystal on his forehead told him otherwise that they must have made one of their own. For what reason, not even he could guess.

The Blacknites were a peace-loving civilization always seeking to have friendly diplomatic relations with other nations rather than fight. Like the six other Moon Civilizations, the Blacknites also upheld their own set of morals and values. The Blacknites most valued virtue was 'Equilibrium'. They believed that everything should be balanced and equal in order to ensure harmony for all that lived in Arcadia.

It made a lot of sense since the black moonstones held the power to turn positive energy into negative and visa versa, it was this power that the Blacknites harnessed in order to create cities and facilities that could be submerged in the lower sky and live on the layer that was simply known as the 'The Great Cloud Sea'. Maybe even deeper into Deep Sky itself if they felt brave enough.

It was this that gave Aster hope that his people could have survived the 'Rains of Destruction' by submerging their cities underneath the central sky before the rains came. But what could have possibly caused an entire moon to suddenly disappear from the sky? That's something that even Aster couldn't think of a logical explanation for.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ciel's voice called out causing him to break this current train of thought and turned his head sideways to glance behind.

"Oh, hey Ciel. I'm fine. I'm just trying to get my head around everything you and Gadget told me today. So much has changed in the thousands of years I've been asleep. It's a little overwhelming."

"I'd probably feel the same if I had been in your shoes." Ciel admitted. "Have you been able to remember anything else about yourself?"

Aster shook his head. "Only a few things about my people, like I know we created ways to use positive and negative energy equally, so we were able to control gravity itself. And that they believed in balance and equality for all."

"Ahhh...That's so cool! So does that mean you can use black moon magic? Or is that kinda impossible now since...you know there aren't any black moon stones around."

"You know...I haven't thought of that. Let's try it out!" It only dawned on Aster just now that he hasn't tested if his black moon magic still worked!

"Huh?! Wait don't you need a moon stone for that?"

"Maybe for other kinds of moon magic, but I'm almost positive that I'm magically innate with my own people's magic. One way to find out though," Aster concentrated and focused his magic into his hand, the same magic circle like the one she saw back at Shrine Isle, the symbols were more clearer this time, it was the same magic circle with the same seven moon-shaped circles, but the inner circle it looked like an intricately curved lines intertwining and connecting with other curved lines. A dark ball of magic to form in his hand.

"I think it's safe to say I can use my black moon magic." He then canceled it quickly.

"That looks pretty neat. What kind of spells does the black moon offer?" Ciel asked.

"Hmm...the black moon gave us mastery over gravity but we also know a few time spells as well. One which you mentioned earlier today, the teleportation spell? That's called Telepho. It allows the caster to teleport one or multiple people to somewhere else, although the caster has to know the area first before they can start teleporting people. I mean, it wouldn't be a good look if someone accidentally teleport their comrades right in the middle of the nowhere or in mid-air where they would fall straight into the Deep Sky."

"...I see your point." Ciel sweat-dropped. "But I was right, that spell I saw was real black magic! Awesome! Can you show me more?"

"I...I don't think I should."

"Why? Do you not remember?" Ciel asked.

"Sort of? Black magic is a double-edged blade, it can be used for both bad and good purposes depending on the caster, not only that, they're very dangerous if not controlled properly. Some of the spells involve creating black holes that can suck anything in, rocks, monsters, even other living beings. And given how fragmented and messed up my memory is right now...I don't know if I'm confident enough to cast them without fearing that it won't go wrong yet."

"I see...I understand. No worries! You can always borrow my moon stones for other moon magic to use instead! When Grandpa was a young adventurer, he would always carry moonstones of the six moons with him for magic. So when he passed away, I inherited them along with his book."

"Thank you. That makes me feel a lot better. Black Moon magic isn't something one should use recklessly just because they can."

"But wait...if you needed to know the area first...how did cast Telepho back on Shrine Isle? You don't even remember the place."

"That's...honestly a good question. I really don't know. Maybe it's the same reason why I don't remember the event at all, even though you said I woke up and then promptly fell unconscious again. I feel bad for not being able to remember it. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. At the end of the day, you saved us from those Silvite golems, even if I was strong enough to fight them, I couldn't handle two of them at once. So you really came through for us. So thanks again for the rescue as random and sudden as it was."

"When you say it like that, it just makes me feel even more guilty."

"Heh, sorry, it wasn't my intention to make feel guilty about it." Ciel apologized with a apologetic smile. She then stretched her arms out before yawning. "We should get to sleep, tomorrow we'll go to Sailor's Island and search up any information we can find about any leads on discoveries yet to be found. Plus, I want to show you everything it has to offer too!"

"What's Sailor's Island like anyway? I'm kind of excited to find out."

"It's the best place to find information on anything you could want to find out! Especially on what's happening in Arcadia since people use it as a hub to exchange information. Also has the best restaurant ever! Wait til you see it!"

"I look forward to it." Aster replied just before something loud and extremely large knocked into their small airship causing it to slightly tilt sideways.

Ciel almost lost her balance and fall over the rails but Aster was able to catch her before she was close enough to the edge.

"Whew, thanks Aster. Just what WAS that?"

"You're really asking me?"

Both of them looked behind them to see a giant airship dwarf over their own as it slowly passed by them after rudely hitting the side of Ciel's airship. Once it passed them by, the ship stabilized and tilt itself back to normal so the two teens could actually stand straight in the middle again.

"...Oh no...I think that's one of the Valuan Admiral Flagships!"

"Valua? Aren't they the ones you warned me about? The imperial nation that is known for their military might?"

"Yeah, but why are they here?" She placed her goggles firmly over her eyes and started to magnify the lens to see what was going on as the giant flagship kept going as if after another target entirely.

She finally locked on to whatever the Valuans were chasing after. "Oh no! That girl is being chased by them! She's on a vessel I've never seen before. Looks all silvery and shiny."

"That sounds like a Silvite ship." Aster noted.

"It is?! Then she needs our help! We can't let the Valuans get their hands on her. Who knows what they'd do!" Ciel started to run towards the cockpit to chase after them until Aster stopped her.

"Wait, this isn't our problem. She's also a Silvite, the same people who captured-maybe even tortured or experimented on me-and then threw me into that capsule of theirs to die in the depths of one of their own abandoned ruins! Why should I care what happens to her?"

"Aster, I know what the Silvites in the past did you was awful. But that doesn't mean you have to sink to their level too. Sometimes we don't need a reason to help people, we do it because we want to help others. Besides, if those Valuans capture her, I just know they're going to do something awful to her. Maybe even do the same things that the Silvites thousands of years ago did to you when you were captured, or worse. Surely you wouldn't wish that kind of suffering on another person would you?" Ciel tried to reason.

Aster just looked away with his fists clenched, as if fighting a mental battle within himself, he then sharply breathed in and out before admitting to both her and himself. "You're right...as much as I hate the Silvites for what they did to me...I wouldn't wish that kind of fate on anyone no matter who they are, I'm not that cruel or vindictive enough to allow it."

Ciel nodded with a bright smile. "That's what I thought. C'mon, we might be able to catch up to them if we catch the wind!"

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Aster asked.

Ciel nodded, "I'll take care of steering, you take care of the navigation, got it?"

Aster, "Understood...uhh...should I call you Captain? Commander? Boss?"

Ciel snickered and winked. "Just Ciel will do."

With that the two ran to the bridge as Ciel took the wheel of the ship while Aster read the map that was nearby along with the depth gauge and compass to help navigate. She then turned to the horn next to her to reach the lower deck. "Gadget, I need you to increase the speed in the engine room! Full Speed ahead!"

"Huh? Why?" Gadget sounded confused.

"I'll explain later, just hurry!" Ciel pressed.

"A-Alright!" Gadget obeyed.

Ciel rotated the wheel so hard to the right that it spun around a few times before stopping, forcing the airship to make a hard turn around so it was now facing the back of the giant Valuan Flagship that just moments ago passed them by.

With the engines at full speed, and the sails catching the night wind that was thankfully in their favor tonight, the airship moved forward quickly to try and catch up before it was too late.
