Chapter I: The rescue

Four years later, on a clear autumn night...

"Whew! Kevin said to Krystal as they walked out of an arcade on the boardwalk in Corneria City, with a large stuffed bear he won for Krystal. "What a night!"

"What a wonderful night!" Krystal added. "But it's getting late. Hopefully no rogue vampires running around."

"Hey, guys." Fox said as he and his now-wife Fara walked up to them from a local pizza parlor on the boardwalk. "See any rogue vampires running around?"

"We didn't see any in the arcade, guys." Kevin replied as he gave Krystal the stuff bear. "Any luck in the pizza parlor?"

"No. Nothing." Fox said, "Fara and I are going back home. We'll see you guys later."

"All right, guys." Kevin said, "Goodnight."

Krystal, Fox, and Fara exchanged 'goodnights' with them, then watched them leave. Both of them began to head back to their apartment. Despite destroying Recon years ago, the whole group had been busy hunting rogue vampires all over the Lylat system, thanks to a new ship they bought and owned, with Fox, Wolf, and Krystal piloting. While Krystal and Fox maintained their friendship, she became friends with Fara. Kevin also became friends with Fox and Fara. He took them under his wing and trained them to become vampire hunters. Best of all, Kevin and Krystal were married a year later. That same year, Fox and Fara were married as well.

However, a few months after the death of Recon, William and Cella declared themselves king and queen of all good vampires, vowing to protect them and Corneria from all evil vampires and other monsters who dare to threaten the innocent people. To add more to Kevin's life, both of them declared him as prince of all good vampires.

They had just started the walk back to their apartment, when Krystal's enhanced telepathy picked up the sounds of a little child crying, yelling and screaming for help underneath the boardwalk. She turned to Kevin. Her long, blue hair flew freedly down her back, and she had blue makeup on, including blue lipgloss. On the top of Kevin's head was a short golden crown, and his silver sword was strapped to his waist. Same thing with Krystal's sword,

"I heard it too." Kevin told her, "Come on."

Wolf stopped them by appearing out of black mist behind them. He was shirtless, which was something he prefered to do since he had a full muscular body.

"Hey, you two." Wolf greeted them, then bowed to his prince with his axe in his hand, "Your majesty. I bring you both news."

Kevin smirked at the 'prince' name Wolf gave him. Although Wolf was one of his closest friends, he was now bound to serve him and the rest of the group of evil vampire slayers, including Fox. He found this very ironic, since the two of them were rivals when Wolf was alive.

"Arise, my friend." Kevin ordered,

Wolf stood up and before them.

"What is it, Wolf?" Kevin asked, but then their enhanced hearing picked up the sounds of the child screaming for help.

"That news." Wolf replied, pointing to the end of the boardwalk ahead.

"Come on." Kevin said.

Both of them jumped over the railing and onto the beach, then started walked under the boardwalk. It was dark underneath, but they were able to see due to their night vision ability. After searching for a few minutes, Kevin stopped them in their tracks.

"What is it?" Wolf mouthed

"He's right up ahead." Kevin replied silently, "Krystal and I will go to the other side and trap him. Wolf, stay here and be ready in case he heads your way."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Wolf replied

He moved out of sight and pulled out his battle axe, while Krystal and Kevin dissipated into black mist and teleported to the very end of the boardwalk just up ahead. The both of them drew out their weapons. Just a few steps ahead of them was the source of the sounds: A pale raccoon vampire carrying a small pale dhampir wolf Kevin had knew. The child was flailing his little arms and legs, trying to break free from his captor's arms. His vampire fangs exposed and the whites of his eyes glowing crimson red.

"Let me go!" The child screamed while shrieking in an animalistic tone, "LET ME GO!"

"No chance, kid." The vampire spat as he pulled a small death blade from his belt. "All dhampirs must die."

"DROP THE CHILD NOW, BLOODSUCKER!" Krystal shouted with her crossbow aimed at the creature of the undead.

Kevin was shocked when he saw the child, screaming. He knew this kid for two months, having made sure he stayed alive by feeding him synthetic blood. He was an abandoned child, and slowly made friends with the prince.

The raccoon vampire raise up his dagger, ready to kill the child. Krystal didn't want to see the child die, so she and Kevin raised up their right arms and opened up their hands. Two long streams of red flame shot out of the palms and incinerated the raccoon, causing him to scream and distintigrate into dust. The little child fell onto the ground, then ran up to both Kevin and Krystal.

"Are you all right, bud?" Kevin asked as he lifted the child up and held him in his arms.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The little dhampir said

"Micheal," Kevin said with a finger pointed at him, "Remember what I have told you?"

"Just call you by your name," Micheal replied, "Yes, Kevin."

"Right." Kevin replied as he turned his attention to both Krystal and Wolf, who appeared out of black mist in front of them. "Micheal, this is my wife, Krystal, and this is my friend and family servant, Wolf O'Donell."

"Hi." Micheal greeted them, while giving them a cute little wave at the same time. His face was reverted back to normal.

Disgusted, Wolf forcefully grinned and returned the wave. He did not like children.

"Hello, sweetheart." Krystal replied warmly, "Kevin, is this the child you've been telling me about?"

"Yea, honey." Kevin replied, "I think tonight should be his last night under the boardwalk."

"I agree." Krystal added

"Wait!" Wolf said with a hand on Kevin's shoulder, "Are you thinking...?"

"Yes!" Kevin cutted in, returning his attention to Micheal. "Would you like to come and live with us in our castle?"

The little one looked at him and nodded.

"All right, let's go." Kevin said to the three of them.

He and Krystal turned and began to leave the boardwalk. Wolf just stood there behind them in disgust.

"This is not a good idea." He thought, knowing that Leon was still a vampire and one of his soldiers.

"We heard that, Wolf!" He heard Krystal's voice in his mind.

"We'll talk later." Kevin's voice also said.

Wolf now felt a little fear, though he managed to hide it. He looked down at the pile of ashes and noticed a medallion with a blue cross. He picked it up and exmained it.

"Their Majesties should know about this." Wolf said to himself as he dissipated himself into black mist and teleported out from under the boardwalk.

Had some new ideas, so boardwalk baby is gonna recieve major rewrites.
