I Own Nothing.

AN: Riley's Pour House is an actual place in Pittsburg, it's probably not near where Britin lived, but this my sandbox. Here's address if ever that way to visit 215 East Main Street Carnegie, PA 15106. The food is right off their menu, but couldn't find dessert listed. They also have a Facebook page not sure if they were open back in 2009, but that's what I'm going with for this story. The music that I listed playing is what is being played in January of 2020.

CN: Brian and Justin enjoy their night at the restaurant.

Title: Light In The Community

Justin had dropped the kids off at Michael and Ben's for the night. His mom was going to pick the twins up when she got off work. Gus was going to spend the night there so he could spend time with his sister and Hunter too. Once he had done that he'd swung by Kinnetic to get Brian since they had their date night. They had decided to go the restaurant that Brian had gotten the voucher for.

They were sitting out on the patio of Riley's Pour House now with a lovely view. They had lucked up getting one of the last tables since the place was packed. Justin had thankfully called ahead on Monday letting them know they wanted to use the voucher. They had been thankful they'd called. Reservations weren't needed, but since they did have the voucher they could get in even if the place was almost full. He'd also requested the patio seating then which had found them a table that was reserved for them.

Brian had taken Justin's hand the moment they'd walked in the place as they'd been lead to their seats. They had been given time to look over the menu which was filled with Irish foods. There was also kid friendly food for if they did bring in Gus and J.R. Gus wasn't that picky with his food, but J.R. still wouldn't touch some things if it didn't smell right. The little girl actually would sniff everything that was put in front of her. When they had her they tried breaking the habit, but it could only go so far though Ben and Hunter was trying too.

Justin went with Icy Blue Bay Mussels with Cream and Red Skin Potatoes for an appetizer which Brian had said to bring two of. He would give the potatoes to Justin, but wouldn't mind the mussels. The icy blue part was what really had gotten his attention since Justin's eyes. Something always drew him into things that matched his man's eyes. For their actual meal Brian picked the Baked Atlantic Cod Filet which was baked Atlantic cod topped with the seasoned bread crumbs which came with fries and lemon wedges. He wasn't sure about the fries, but Justin had given him a lecture before they came about one night he could blow off his usual food rules.

Justin ended up going with the Traditional Irish Fish and Chips meal. It was hand battered cod with fresh cut fries served with tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. However he didn't want the tartar sauce and lemon wedge since wasn't a fan of either. He also on his own dime added a round of their wings for his self, but got the batch of twelve knowing that Brian some times did indulge if he got them. They also got Heinekens' one each to drink while they waited for their meal. They didn't drink like they used to, not in ages really, probably since they had gotten Gus full time.

When the waitress left them they scanned the area looking at the other people that were there. It was a varitey of couples out on the patio. Inside there had been families also there which was a good thing to know they were family friendly. If they enjoyed their time they could always come back with the kids at some point. Maybe Gus and J.R. only til the twins were older though. They had asked about the place which was family owned. The band would start up at eight which wasn't that long. It would be the Rust Town Rounders until midnight.

Brian reached out taking Justin's hand linking their fingers together. He was smiling at the man he loved and got one of Justin's sunshine smiles in return. He loved their every other Friday night out dinners alone. The other Friday nights were spent with the kids and Daphne when she was off doing something for all of them. However, with how lovely the atmosphere was it might become one of their new places to go even for family night. Though some Friday nights they stayed in having food that either they got out or Justin would make. He did help Justin on cooking at times Gus did as well. It was fun to spend time with Justin in the kitchen. J.R. loved it as well when she came over. Though she usually ended up covered in a lot of the stuff some how. It was adorable.

"Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt you two." A woman said coming up to them. "I just wanted to thank you for all the things you have done. My grandson was at the children's hospital this past year that you helped at. I actually remembered you when I saw the newspaper article. You brought him a stuffed dog while he was taking his treatments. He still has that dog, held it every time he had to have his treatments too. He's cancer free now, but you doing that simple thing and talking to him meant a lot." She said adding that her name was Megan and her grandson was Dillion.

Brian smiled at her. "You're not interrupting, we were admiring the view. I know first hand how scary it can be. I was a little hard headed at first about saying anything, but my husband convinced me otherwise about a support system when I had cancer. I couldn't imagine what it might be like for a child though. I only wanted to do something small it was nothing really." He said but it was clear to her that it was more than nothing. "I'm glad he is cancer free though, that is always a good thing to hear." He added.

"Trust me Brian, you did more than you'll know. I hope that you two enjoy your meal, the band is wonderful as well." Megan said with warm smile before she nodded at Justin. "You did a wonderful job yourself taking care of him. It is not an easy job at times, but your love always shows." She replied before walking away.

Justin said a quick thank you before she could get too far away before looking at Brian. During the first half of the week they had been stopped by people to be thanked. Some had told them stories like Megan's others with simple thanks or how good and kind they were. There were multiple people saying how wonderful a couple they made. The kids had been bragged on as well which Gus, who wasn't shy much as long as they said it was okay had turned a little bit shy. He'd hidden behind Brian when he'd been told he was handsome or looked exactly like his daddy.

Thankfully there had been no mean comments to them or the kids. Not one negative thing was said to them directly. There had even been thank you letters from dozens of people, children like Megan's grandson, and mothers as well. They hadn't thought there would be mail, but there had been. Dozens of drawings and paintings from children as well were included.

They had been given to the newspaper office of the school and Liberty Gazette since Brian and his address or numbers weren't listed. Though some had been delivered to Kinnetic that Cynthia had gotten someone to go through in case there had been any bad responses, which if was she'd never said a word.

When their appetizer arrived a few minutes later they both dug in. The smell alone had them hooked to start with, but when they started eating it was definitely wonderful. They had to remember where they were so not to make sounds of how good it was, but a couple of low delight sounds side slip out. Brian had taken to feeding the potatoes to Justin making sure to get some of the cream on them before he watched his husband take them from the fork each time. He had developed an enjoyment of feeding Justin some foods over the years. He still loved it when Justin would feed him ice cream as well.

They declined a second beer once the first was gone switching to ice tea for Justin with water for Brian. The band had started playing by the time they finished up what they had been brought. The waitress had said it would be another ten minutes before their food itself arrived. She apologized, but they could tell that the place was packed. They let her know it was fine before deciding to join the other people that had taken to dancing to the music.

They had sold Babylon years back and now that it was under new management didn't even go there. They had more important things to do than go clubbing. It also held some bad memories even if it was where they had met for the first time. The deaths of their friends had put a damper on that being enjoyable again. Lindsay and Melanie had died that night and it just wasn't the same to them.

Brian took Justin's hand bringing him close as they danced to the music. It was a slow song at the moment which Justin liked the most. It meant he could be closer to Brian than if it was a faster song. Though they had at times gotten lost into their own pace during fast songs as well. Justin smiled looking into Brian's eyes seeing the love that was being sent back to him. His own eyes sending the same love back. After a moment he rested his head against Brian's moving to the music. At home they took to dancing a lot more, which Gus and J.R., when she was over joined in on.

After the second song they found their way back to the table as the waitress was bringing their orders. The smell was once again mouth watering and worth the wait they thought. It was mostly silence as they ate because they were enjoying the food so much. It was mentioned that they would have to see about getting there on the nights they had family night out. They could see why it was always packed and even if reservations weren't taken the place could take weeks to get into.

Justin had been craving a good fish all week so it hit the spot when he ate what he'd gotten. He also got a bite of Brian's who had given him a look for even thinking of taking his wonderful food. He knew his husband was joking, but the food was definitely some to want to keep to ones self. Justin offered Brian some from his plate as well which he did try. They also shared the wings like Justin had thought Brian would want to get in on as well. The food, the music, and atmosphere was perfect to them. It was a different band instead of the same one each night they played.

"I think I found our new favorite place to come." Brian said before he leaned to Justin kissing him. He also got the BBQ sauce off the corner of his mouth. "The kids would love the music and it's not too loud either that hurt the twins' ears if we brought them too." He added.

"That is true, there are no looks either so definitely a plus." Justin smiled knowing even though times were changing some places still had people that gave them looks; especially with kids. He took Brian's hand in his looking at how his husband's ring shined even now. He'd never thought of anything besides saying yes when Brian had asked him.

They went back to their food though they found a moment to let their hands touch. Their legs were pressed together the entire time though. Since they had come back to the table Brian had sat beside Justin wanting to be closer to the man he loved. The waitress was wonderful at checking in to make sure they were okay with their drinks. They told her to compliment the chief on how good the food was as well.

When they'd been done with their meal they had left a tip on the table before taking in another two songs. They didn't want to hold up to table in case others wanted to come in to eat. When they left Brian put his arm around Justin as they walked back to the 'Vette which he'd convinced Justin they should take tonight. They'd left Justin's SUV at Kinnetic for the night to pick up before they got the kids the next day. The music could be heard in the parking lot over the loud speaker that projected it out.

Justin smiled before he rested his head against Brian's chest deciding to take in the last song before they got in the car. It was a song that they had heard when they'd been in Ireland. It had become one of their favorites actually, besides their favorite of all which was still Save The Last Dance For Me. It had been their wedding song they danced to first which afterwards Justin had given into his mom dancing with her.

After the song they got in the car leaving the place feeling comfortably full. Instead of going back to Britin though Brian drove them up the road a ways. There was a quiet B&B that they took in at times on their nights out without the kids if they didn't want to drive back home. Justin had packed them an over night bag in case Brian had wanted to go there. It wasn't too far out of the area, but enough back that it had space for a larger yard than Michael and Ben's place had. It wasn't close to as big as theirs though, but for families there was a swing set there for children.

The thing about the B&B was that they had a personal stake in the place as well. They'd been coming there for four years and when the owner had been looking to sell it off they might have snatched it up. Someone else ran it with Brian and his self being silent partners, but it was theirs for the last six months. The swing set had been added back then to the yard along with a couple of picnic tables. It was definitely a cozy place and had been pretty much the same atmosphere as before. Though the room that they always got was their own and wouldn't be rented out in any way. It was also a new bed in the place completely since they were the only ones using it.

"Tonight was nice and we're going to be going back there in the future." Brian said once they were in their personal room. "Now that I got you all to myself we're going to have a nice hot shower and a good round of sex. Then again it might be better to do the opposite first." He grinned.

"I'd like two or three rounds at least and maybe we could have a nice hot soak. This is the only place we have a tub unless you count the one that only the kids can fit in." Justin said as he wrapped his arms around Brian's neck. "I did bring the bubbles that you like to use." He smiled kissing Brian.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to have you between my legs for a different reason." Brian smiled after returning the kiss. "Okay you win though we'll need a shower later when I get done with you." He added as he started removing Justin's clothes.

Justin laughed knowing that he'd be in need of one. "If I haven't told you my sweet loving knight of a husband thank you for all you do not just for the ones out in the world, but us as well." He said cupping Brian's face. "I love you so much."

"I love you too, my prince." Brian replied before they went to the bathroom.
