Happy Father's Day! Unfortunately, my own father is in the hospital and I was unable to write anything for the day. I apologize. It's been a rough year. But it didn't seem right not to have anything so I'm writing this on my phone now. It's going to be a little rough.

I don't own anything.

Six was annoyed. This was the third time this week that Rex left base without authorization. White was livid and chewed him out again. Six was use to it but he still disliked the condescending tone White used with him. What did White expect from an unruly teenager?

Dr. Holiday told him that his nanites disassembled the trackers again. Luckily, the tracker in Bobo's diaper was still sending out signals. Six landed the jump jet where the signal was strongest. When he got out, he frowned. This can't be right. He was standing in front of an empty warehouse. He took a few steps before he felt something underfoot. Looking down it was Bobo's diaper. A sword slipped from his sleeve. He lifted up the cloth with disgust. Pressing his comlink in his ear, he said, "Holiday? We may have a problem."

Holiday suggested several places Six can look. Six was not happy. He flew to the first place which was a bowling alley. Frowning, he entered. As he looked around, it was clear that Rex wasn't there. Growling under his breath, he turned to leave and bumped into a big burly man. The angry man poked him in the chest.
"Hey, buddy! Watch where you're goin!"

Six did not take kindly to being touched. "Excuse me, sir. I did not see you there." He refrained from adding that he should have seeing his girth.

However, it was clear that the man was just spoiling for a fight. "You saying I'm not important enough?"

"Yeah, Clyde! You show him like you showed that talking monkey." One of his companions taunted him.

"Monkey?" Six perked up. "Wearing a fez and blue jacket? Accompanied by a teenager?"

"What's it to you?" Clyde scowled and took a wild swing.

Six nimbly dodged it. "Where did they go?"

"I aint tellin you!" He swung again.

Six dodged again. "This is of utmost importance that I find these individuals."

"Tough toenails!" He threw a haymaker at Six who was getting tired of this conversation.

Six didn't even allow the man to finish his swing when he did a roundhouse kick to the head. Clyde crumpled to the ground. Six pulled off his sunglasses and grabbed the man by his collar. He brought his face close to his. "Listen sir, I'm going to ask just once. Where did the monkey and kid go?"

The man trembled as he saw the look in Six's eyes.

Six exited the establishment, straightened his tie and walked towards the jump jet.

He should have gone to the mall first. He wondered why Holiday would send him to a bowling alley. Now that he thought of it, not one of the suggestions was the mall. Walking in he looked around. Nothing strange yet. Then he heard clapping from the distance. Curious, he followed the sounds. When he arrived, he saw a flash of red and blue.

"Bobo!" He bellowed.

"Uh-oh. It's the feds." Bobo grabbed the plate of change off the floor and ran off. Six gave chase. The chimp was fast, but Six was smarter. Pulling some shurikens from his inside pockets, he waited. When Bobo was in the right position, he threw them. Immediately, Bobo's sleeve was pinned ti the wall.

"All right monkey! Where's the kid?" He glared at him.

Bobo grinned nervously. "He he, hiya Green Bean, what kid?" Bobo found a blade under his chin. "Oh, that kid. Well, I believe he's in his room."

"Don't lie to me you walking fur rug. The alarms went off. We know Rex left the base." Six growled.

"Why don't you check if you don't believe me?" Bobo said innocently. Six lowered his katana.

"Holiday? Is Rex in his room?" He pressed his comlink.

Bobo nonchalantly examined his nails as Six's scowl grew deeper.

"What's the good word, ninja nanny?" Bobo asked cheekily.

"Shut up." Six spun on his heels and stalked off.

"Hey, how am I getting home?" Bobo asked alarmed.

"You got yourself here. You get yourself home." He snapped.

Bobo gaped at the man as he walked away.

Six arrive back at Providence in a foul mood.

Holiday greeted him at the hanger. "Huh, I guess Rex didn't leave the base after all. The alarm must be broken. i'll have a technician take a look at it tomorrow. You look tired. Why don't you take a break?"

Six ignored her as he angrily walked to Rex's room.
When he arrived, he opened his door without knocking. Rex was playing a video game. "Hi, Six! What's up? Wanna play Sumo Slammers Five with me?" He looked up.

"Where have you been?" He asked.

"Me? I've been here all day playing video games." Rex cocked his head to one side. "Why?"

"The alarms went off…" He started saying.

"Oh, that, Doc says the system must be broken. I've been here all day."
Six could feel something was wrong but there was no evidence of it.

"Stay out of trouble, Rex." It was all he could think of to say.

"Of course." Rex smiled innocently.

Six walked out feeling like he had missed something. When the door slid closed, Rex breathed a sigh of relief. He pulled out a box from his bed. He can't wait till tomorrow, which is Father's Day to give Six the present he got him today. He will have to find a way to thank Dr. Holiday for helping him out. She managed to send Six on a wild goose chase long enough for him and Bobo to earn enough cash so Rex could buy him a present… a real present. Last Father's Day all he got him was a letter. Well, this year it's going to be different. He smiled as he looked at the mug he bought him with the inscription "Thank you for going on this crazy ride with me. Happy Father's Day!"
