AN: Okay. I am officially tired of waiting. I want to publish this story now! Now I say! After all, it's been….I don't know, two months since I published Family? And….wow, I published The Demon's Pleasure in January! And it's still not finished! Some might think that I am might be going overboard with all the stories I'm publishing, and if you think that, I thank you for your concern. But ultimately, I think I'll be fine.

So, with that intro out of the way, let's get into Super Koopalings Episode 27: Origins.

Chapter 1 Mama Peach

Junior stared out the window of the airship, his head leaning against his hand and his eyes drooping like a wilting flower. He had barely slept last night. At all. While he wasn't one to watch the clock, he did remember getting glances of it from time to time as he ran around the castle. One time, it said 11:56. Another, it said 12:43. And yet, another time it had said 3:00. Even though it was never his intention, the Koopa Prince had ended up pulling an all-nighter. That all-nighter had left him winded and exhausted beyond all Koopa comprehension.

Seriously. It was almost as if the clouds outside were teasing him to go to sleep with the shapes they formed. One cloud resembled a night cap, ready to be plopped on Junior's little head. Another resembled a glass of warm milk. Junior licked his lips, feeling the warmth and the flavor flow down his throat just looking at the cloud. And of course, every single one of the clouds resembled pillows. Fluffy, appealing pillows that he could lay his head on and be guaranteed a good night's sleep when in use.

In fact, Junior almost dozed off just looking at them. Fortunately, he managed to catch himself before he fell into Dreamland. He couldn't go to sleep. He was in the airship for a reason after all. The young Koopa Prince slapped himself on the cheek.

"Stay awake, Dummy," he muttered to himself. He went over to a freezer in one corner of the cabin, opened it up, and pulled out a water bottle that he had stuffed in there about a week ago. He opened it up, ready to pour the freezing water onto his sleep deprived self. Unfortunately, the ice got stuck right beneath the lid. It was quite literally frozen in place.

Junior groaned. "Darn it, what's a guy got to do in order to stay awake?" He put his hand to his chin and smiled as a lightbulb went off in his head. "I know! I should go talk to Dad on the deck!"

With that, he turned on his heel and made his way up the steps that would take him straight out of the cabin. Once he got to the deck, he breathed in extra deeply. The air was nice and cold, colder than any temperature that the Koopa Kingdom was familiar with. The airship was surrounded on all sides by a sea of clouds. Every once in a while, Junior could spot a flash of brown that indicated a bird of prey swooping through the sky. He was surprised to see them at these high altitudes. The airship, and the clouds by consequence, must be hanging lower than he originally thought.

Ah well. Whether or not the airship was flying high or low was irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. What truly mattered was the fact that the Koopas would get to their destination safely. This, at least in Junior's mind, was an absolute guarantee. He had not experienced an airship crash before, and he had absolutely no intention of participating in one now.

"Ahhh."

Junior's ears perked up. That deep, booming, brassy voice could only belong to one person: his father, King Bowser Hortensia Koopa I. He was most likely getting into a relaxed position, if the sound he made was any indication. Sure enough, when Bowser made his way up to the steering wheel, he saw Bowser resting in a lawn chair. He had a pair of sunglasses on and a bottle of lemonade in his hands as a hammer bro steered the ship.

"Hey, Dad," Junior said. Bowser titled his head and pulled his shades down so that they were hanging over his enormous snout.

"Hey, Junior." He changed position so that he was sitting up as he smiled at his first and only biological son. "You enjoying the ride?"

Junior shrugged. "Ehh."

"Ehh?" Bowser put his sunglasses back on. "Well, you had better learn to like the ride, because it's going to be a few hours until we arrive."

Junior blinked. "A few hours?" He turned toward the hammer bro at the wheel. "Harry, is it really going to be a few hours?"

Harry laughed. "Only if we live in a world where ten minutes is actually 'several hours.'"

Junior smirked and turned back to Bowser, who just shrugged nonchalantly.

"Well, ten minutes feels like a few hours depending on how impatient you are."

Junior laughed. "And Grambi knows that you know all about impatience, don't you Dad?"

Bowser cast Junior a glare. "Junior! Stop speaking facts!"

Junior cast his father a raised eyebrow, and Bowser mirrored the expression perfectly. Then, before either of the royal Koopas knew what was going on, they burst into laughter. Junior hugged his sides, the air becoming harder and harder to come across. Bowser's laugh carried across the ever growing expanse of milky white clouds. By the time they were done laughing, both of them were out of breath.

"Well now," Bowser said. "Do you want one of the Koopa Troopa servants to pull up a chair for you, Junior?"

"Nah," Junior said. He positioned himself right on the floor next to Bowser's chair. "I am happy with sitting on the floor."

Bowser raised an eyebrow. "The scratchy, splintery floor, eh? You're gonna get pieces of wood lodged in your bottom!"

Junior snickered. "Sounds legit. I could be into that." He snickered. "I bet it would feel just as nice as getting my toe sucked.

Bowser gawked. "What the….? What on Earth have you been up to, Junior? What happened to the sweet, innocent baby that everyone in the Koopa Kingdom knows and loves?"

Junior cackled and puffed out his chest. "That baby is gone, Dad! I killed him in his sleep a long time ago!"

"Apparently!" Bowser took a sip of his lemonade. "I don't know how to react to this. Should I go with the typical dad response and be absolutely horrified? Or should I go with my inner supervillain and say how proud I am of you?"

Junior laughed again, wheezing as he did so.. "Stop it, Dad! Stop being so funny; you're gonna make me pass out!"

Bowser grinned and chuckled. "Asking me not to be funny is like asking a waterfall to flow up." He took off his sunglasses. "But I'll do my best. I don't want you to pass out, and I'm sure Princess Peach wouldn't want you too, either."

Junior's heart soared just hearing that name. Princess Peach, aka the sweetest Mama that anybody in the Mushroom World could possibly have. That was part of the reason why he had trouble sleeping the night before. He had been told that he was going to visit her this weekend, and had been so excited that he was practically bouncing off the walls.

"Oh man, you're right," Junior said. He giggled and clapped his hands together at a rapid speed. "Mama Peach is definitely going to want to see me."

"That, she is," said Bowser. "I mean, she doesn't have much choice in the matter, given this was one of the conditions of that peace treaty she and I established."

Junior nodded. He remembered that peace treaty. The terms of it had been that Bowser would no longer kidnap Princess Peach as long as the Princess would look after Bowser Jr every other weekend. It had been established after the fiasco that had occurred when Celia Patch, who was Roy's girlfriend, had tried to save Princess Aqua, who was Peach's sister, after she had gotten kidnapped. Admittedly, Junior was never really a big fan of Celia, as she always seemed to rub him the wrong way. However, he was at least happy that this peace treaty managed to happen because of her. He smiled and let out a sigh.

"I can't wait until we get to the Castle. I have so many things that I want to do with Mama Peach."

Bowser smiled. "I love it that you call her Mama Peach. It's absolutely adorable."

Junior's face fell as his complexion turned crimson. "Daddd…."

Bowser laughed. "Oh come on! Don't pretend that it's not!"

Junior turned away. "Just because it's cute doesn't mean you have to point that out!"

Bowser chuckled and took another sip of his lemonade. Right as he did, Harry turned to them with a grin.

"We are pulling up at Peach's Castle, your highnesses."

Junior bounced up. "Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes!"

With that, the airship came to a stop. Junior ran over and looked over the edge. He saw the white castle sitting on a grassy, shiny patch of green ground. A sparkling moat surrounded the castle, and the pink turrets looked rosy and welcoming. Speaking of rosy and welcoming, the Princess stood in front of the castle. Her pink dress was gone and had been replaced by a pink sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. Her golden blonde hair was in a messy ponytail, and her crown and blue earrings were missing. Junior had never seen Peach look like this before. He kind of liked it.

"Mama Peach!" Junior called out. He waved down at the Princess, who waved back at him. He turned toward his father. "Dad, hurry up and put the ladder down!"

"Alright, alright, I'm coming," Bowser said. He groaned as he laughed himself up out of his chair. "Man. I really need to hit the gym." He made his way over to his son, threw the anchor over the edge, and then got the ladder and threw it over the side. Junior giggled and, putting one hand after the other, made his way down. All of the sleepiness he had been feeling previously vanished as excitement reclaimed his mind.

"Mama Peach!" he yelled with a smile once he landed. He ran over to the Princess and wrapped his arms around her midsection. "I am so glad that I get to see you!"

Peach laughed and patted him on the head. "Well. It's nice to know I have a fan."

Junior let go and stared into her crystal blue eyes. "Of course! I'm...like...your biggest fan! You're absolutely, positively, awesome!"

Peach blushed. "Oh man." She looked up at Bowser, who was still in the airship. He cupped his hands and called out:

"I'LL COME PICK HIM UP ON MONDAY!"

Peach cupped her hands around her own mouth. "OKAY!" she yelled back. As Bowser pulled the ladder back up, Peach looked down at Junior. "Come on, sweetie. You probably want something to eat, right?"

Junior nodded happily. "Of course! I'll be willing. to eat anything made by you!"

Peach smiled. However, she had a hint of apprehension in her eyes as she stared at the Koopa Prince. Junior titled his head, but before he could ask what was the matter, she gestured for him to follow into the castle. Junior, while he was still taken aback, pushed his own apprehension to the side and gleefully bounded after his Mama Peach. He had a feeling that this weekend was going to be the best of all time.
