5 months after Season 8 Episode 22.

Death

"You must go now!" Amber Volakis materializes but she is not a hallucination this time, only an apparition.

Gregory House's hand begins to flicker and it becomes transparent to the point that he can see the flames through it.

"His ashes will be spread by the wind." Amber points to Wilson's burning flesh.

House doesn't move.

"Come on, you had your five months." Now, it is Kutner in the place of Amber. "You died in that fire but they let your spirit out the back door. They allowed your spirit to remain tethered to this earth in physical form because they took pity on Wilson. Now, he is gone and you must submit."

"But my work isn't done!" House protests as his arms disappear into nothingness and his hair begins to melt.

"Yes, it is." Kutner snaps.

"Thirteen!" House screams. "I made a promise."

"Then they will guide her to you." Lawrence Kutner morphs into John House.

Greg House feels a tingle rupture through his nonphysical body as John, or the being posing as John, taps his dissolving forehead.

The burning pyre subsides and the ashes blow away into nothingness.

A large slab of rock materializes in front of where the pyre was. It is a gorgeous, opaque emerald crystal with refined edges and a pristine chisel.

The skies darken as it starts pouring and a lightning blast hits the crystal directly but it remains unfazed.

Foreman twiddles House's name tag in his hand. He still keeps it as a souvenir for his desk. When he first found it, he was convinced that House was alive but now, he isn't sure. It seemed too good to be true and it was too predictable, especially for House.

He has accepted that House is dead.

Dreams

"Hi."

"House!" She screams.

"Thirteen!" House reaches out his hands and she tries to touch them but her hands pass through his. "You must find me! Nevada! In theā€¦"

Thirteen wakes up and looks around. It's still dark out but simmering light still penetrates her windows.

It is only natural to dream about House because he died recently. Sure, five months was a while ago, but five months was also how long Wilson had left. He must be dead by now, so that is why she dreamed about House.

As she makes her way back to bed, Thirteen sees a piece of paper dangling on her sheets. She lifts it up and sees that it is a plane ticket to Nevada.

How?

She never?

Her heart thumps at a billion beats per second as she struggles to process the information.

Newlyweds

This was her second honeymoon and it was much better than her first.

No seven hour layover, no missing luggage and no cheating husband.

Her ex husband, whose name she chooses not to remember anymore, couldn't even wait to start cheating until after the honeymoon. She should have divorced him on the spot. She shouldn't have married him in the first place. Nevertheless, it all worked out for her in the end.

Now, she is happy because Robert is her entire world.

Robert Chase squeezes his wife's hand and gives her a soft kiss. Jessica Adams Chase smiles and responds with a deeper tongue action move.

Their tongues tangle around for a bit, before he extracts himself and laughs.

"Thought you were asleep." Robert says.

"I was resting my eyes. Just thinking about how happy I am to be with you. It still feels like a dream." Jessica replies.

"Do I kiss like that in your dreams?" Robert asks.

Jessica chuckles. "You know, I used to dream about what it would feel like to kiss you. Actually, I did a lot more than that."

Robert laughs. "Me too. I thought about you a lot."

The dialogue is corny and cringe but it is all very cute in their eyes.

"Robert!"

"Allison!" Robert exclaims. "Hi."

"Hey!" Allison beams but her smile dissipates when she sees that he is holding hands with Jessica.

"Hi, I am Robert's wife." Jessica introduces herself cordially enough. She knows exactly who Allison is.

"You...you got married?" Allison stammers.

"Yeah." Robert smiles. "Last month."

Allison's heart sinks at the revelation and when she sees Jessica's chest, her sinking heart shatters into pieces.

"We are expecting our children in eight months." Jessica explains.

"Congratulations! Great seeing you!" Allison walks away quickly, so that they cannot see her crying.

"Sorry." Someone bumps into her.

"Thirteen!" Cameron exclaims.

"Cameron!" Thirteen says.

"Flight to Nevada now!"

"That's my flight!" The two women board the plane together.

Nevada

"So, why are you going?" They ask each other.

"I've been through a lot in the past five months." Cameron admits. "After House's funeral, I went through a rough patch with my husband and I divorced him. Gave him full custody because he was the better parent. I quit medicine and now I am traveling the country. Might as well start with Nevada."

Maybe you shouldn't have let Chase go, Thirteen thinks silently.

"Why are you going?" Cameron asks.

At the risk of sounding crazy, Thirteen considers telling the truth and that is when a lightning strike hits the plane.

The Emerald Stone

A bolt of lightning slams the opaque emerald rock and it shatters, thereby releasing the spirit that is trapped inside of it.

A transparent figure hovers over the sight of the plane wreckage. Mountains of fire engulf the broken pieces and not even the immense torrents of rain can put them out.

House puts one hand on Thirteen's bloodied corpse and the other on Cameron's smashed remains.

"It is time." House whispers to himself and his being dissipates into the smoke, forever.
