*1974*

Jackie yawned as she woke up from another peaceful night of beauty sleep, not like she needed it, she was the prettiest girl in point place, heck probably the whole of Wisconsin or at least that's what her mother said.

She got up and did her normal morning routine. She brushed her hair and teeth, followed the strict skin routine her mother had her on, and burgling waited for the maids to pick out her clothes and to do her hair.

When Jackie was dressed and ready for school she went down the stairs hoping to catch her father before he headed off to work.

As she entered the dining room she saw the maids rushing to get her breakfast and both parents seated at each end of the table.

'What the heck' Jackie thought to herself, never in her young years did she ever see anything so bizarre. She was always under the impression that her parents hated each other with a fiery passion, whenever they were in a room together all hell would break loose, screaming, yelling, crying and sometimes even throwing things.

"Kitten, what are you doing just standing there? Sit down and eat before your food gets cold" Jack ordered his daughter shaking her from her thoughts

Jackie just smiled and nodded her head, not one to argue with her daddy, as she sat down her face twisted into a grimace, on her plate was this white pasty looking thing that Jackie could only guess was tofu surrounded by lettuce and sprinkled with some sort of herd.

'EW, did they really expect me to eat this?' Jackie grimaced, poking at the sludge 'Why is mom so obsessed with this stuff and why'd she make me eat it?' Jackie pondered as she tried to think of ways to avoid eating it.

"Jacqueline! Stop poking at your food it's improper" Pamela hissed at her daughter.

"Oh, and of course you'll know all about improper things wouldn't you Pamela" Jack muttered all while glaring daggers at his 'beloved' wife.

"What's that supposed to mean, Jack," Pamela asked in a dangerously calm voice, a voice that married men everywhere were trained to fear.

"Well it's just that I don't think whoring yourself to the pool boy is very proper is all darling" Jack replied bluntly as he sat his newspaper down and returned the heated glare he received from his wife.

"Agh! Who do you think you are? Talking to your wife like- My Wife?! Ha, that's funny last time I checked yo- Don't you interrupt m-"

Jackie started to tune out as both her parents dissolved into a nonsensical argument, both screaming and yelling over each other so loudly that she could barely make out who was saying what. She looked over at the grandfather clock and noticed that it was nearly time to go.

So Jackie slowly made her way out of the room just in time to hear the pilates being thrown and made her way to the door where her school bag was packed and waiting for her, god I love having maids and started to make her way to school.

"Uhhhhgh today totally blows!" Jackie grounded as she slammed her head on the picnic table with a dull 'thud' "ouch"

"Wat's wong" Buddy morgan questioned with a mouth full of food, some spitting out as he spoke.

"Ewww! Buddy chew before you speak!" Jackie said snobbishly as she dodged the flying pieces of food.

Buddy rolled his eyes at his friend's dramatics and swallowed the rest of his food "Sorry Mom!" He joked sarcastically.

"Oh shut up," Jackie said giggling "But anyways back to me, today has been sooo bad" Jackie whined.

"Really why?"

"Well first of all my maid totally pick out the wrong outfit colour scheme, I mean who wears pastels in the fall, then mom has me on this weird diet thing where I can only eat stupid tofu"

"Tofu, what the hell is that?"

"It's like this weird greyish white paste-like thing that somehow manages to taste like the world's blandest food while also being the sourest" Jackie explained, not even trying to hide her distance for the food.

"Oh eww," Buddy exclaimed slowly.

"I know it's so gross but anyways, then my parents were fighting like crazy again!"

"Again seriously, I thought your mom just got back from...Mexico was it?"

"Yeah, she did like two days ago! But oh no that didn't stop them from screaming at each other first thing in the morning, I swear sometimes it's hard to believe I'm related to those people" Jackie sighed.

"Maybe you're adopted" Buddy joked in hopes it would make her feel better, he knew how hostile Jackie's home life was and the toll it took on her sometimes, so if he could make her feel better then he would

"HA, as if anyone would be crazy enough to give up such a cute baby, you'd have to be insane" Jackie giggled softly.

"Yeah, having you for a baby probably drove them insane," Buddy laughed, not noticing the dark look he was getting.

"Oh, you are so going to get it," Jackie Said dangerously as she slowly rose from the table.

"Now now Jackie, it was just a joke no need to get violent GAH!" Buddy yelped as he swiftly dodged the famous 'Jackie kick of death' and took off running.

"Hey, you get back here and serve your punishment!" Jackie screeched as she ran after him.

As both the pre-teens goofed around, little did they know they were being watched.

"I don't get how such a nice guy like Buddy can stand being around such a spoiled brat" Donna Pinnicotti fumed, as she and her three misfit friend all sat on the ground near the school's old oak tree, well nearly all of them Kelso was dared to climb the tree to the top and down for 5 bucks but hilariously he got stuck.

"Well Donna it's simple, someone as evil as Jackie can lure anyone to the dark side with their dark magic," Eric said in all seriousness.

"Forman you have got to start laying off that stupid game man, cause if Red hears you talkin' like that he'll shove his foot up your ass, hell if I hear you talkin' like that again I'll kick your ass," Hyde said threateningly.

"Hey! D&D isn't a 'Stupid game' ok, it takes will, strategy, patience and pure determination to master the art of D&D playing, something you'll never achieve" Eric replied fiercely to protect his beloved game.

"BRUN" Yelled Kelso as he tried to find a way down

"Shut up Kelso! Or I'll kick your ass too" Hyde yelled back.

"Haha you can't kick my ass, I'm up here and you're all the way do-AHHHH" Kelso screamed as he fell.

"KELSO" His friends all huddled around him trying to see if he was ok.

"Oh my God is he ok?!" Jackie asked as she and Buddy ran over.

"Ha did you guys see that?" Kelso laughed goofily. "Man, that was awesome."

"Yeah he's fine you'd be surprised how many times he does this kinda thing, just last month he fell from the water tower a total of three times," Hyde said blankly as he watched his two other friends fuss over Kelso, he liked to call them the 'Mom' and 'Dad' of the group.

"Really?" Jackie giggled "I don't think I've even broken a bone before"

"Well then I'm gonna guess you're not as dumb as Kelso" Hyde chuckled, he got a good look at the girl Donna hated fiercely, she was cute, a little loud but cute.

"Thank you, I'm Jacqueline but all my friends call me Jackie," She said holding out her hand, of course, he already knew who she was, last week Donna got into a yelling match with her in the gym and threw a ball at her head, they all ended up in detention for that one but she didn't seem to remember him.

"Uhh Hyde" he replied, shaking her hand.

"Hyde? What kind of name is that?" Jackie questioned snobbishly, what kind of parents name their kid Hyde

"Well Hyde's my second name" He didn't know why he felt the need to explain himself to her but he just did, Probable something weird in the stash, man

"Oh…Wait, are you Steven Hyde?" Oh so she does remember me

"Yeah" He confirmed

"Oh my God you're the guy who put sticky notes all over Mrs Johnson's desk and put Mr Johnson likes dudes on the chalkboard, she was sooooo mad but you're right he so likes dudes" Jackie giggled hysterically and Hyde couldn't help but laugh with her, that was one of his finest pranks but damn did he get hell for it, he was a little surprised that he didn't get expelled (Not that Mrs Johnson didn't try, she even threatened to resign) but just a two-week in-school suspension.

"God Steven you're such a card," Jackie said, taking a deep breath to try and calm herself.

"W-wait what did you say?" Hyde suddenly stopped laughing and looked at Jackie with wide eyes.

"Oh well, I just said that you're fu- HYDE!" Both Jackie and Hyde snapped their heads around to the source of the noise and found a very angry looking Donna.

Both Donna and Eric were standing with Kelso's arms wrapped around their necks as he hopped on one foot.

"Hyde! What the hell I called you twice, we think Kelso sprained his ankle and we're gonna take him down to the nurse so if you're making googly eyes at the little terror over here can we get going" Donna said impatiently, the sight of her friend happily chatting away with her 'enemy' pissed her off.

"Hey! you're that Stupid Lumberjack that hit me last week!" Jackie screeched. How dare she call me a 'little terror' if anything I'm a little delight...bitch.

"Who the hell are you calling a lumberjack pip squawk!" Donna yelled as she took a threatening step forward.

"Oh yeah! Girl fight! Awesome" Kelso practically squealed.

"No, No there's no girl fight, ok" Buddy said sternly as he stepped between the two girls "Now didn't you say your friend needed help?"

"Huh oh Yeah-"

RING RING RING

All the kids ground as the bell rang.

"Oh, Crap! That's the bell I have to get to class I can't be late again or Mr Smith is gonna call my parents and if Red finds out that I've skidded the last two chem classes to play D&D I...I don't even want to know what'll happen " Eric Squacled and dropped Kelso like a sack of potatoes then took off like a bat out of hell.

"Eric! Ugh, that Dillhole! Hyde, can you help me with him" Donna demanded more than asked.

"Ask nicely," Hyde asked smugly

"What?"

"Ask. Nicely" He repeated slowly.

"I think he wants you to ask him nicer Donna," Kelso said as if he were explaining it to a small child.

"Yes, I know that yea Dillhole" Donna hissed "Hyde will you pretty please with sugar on top help me bring Kelso to the nurse," Donna finished with a sickly sweet smile.

"Wow with sugar on top and all but umm let me think about it, how about...no," Hyde said snickering, Donna was about to lose it when another voice joined the conversation.

"Okay look Jackie and I will help you bring bonehead here to the nurse's office but we have to go now or will all be late" Buddy cut in and held up his hand to Jackie when she started protesting.

"Fine" She signed and went over to the other side of Kelso to help him up.

"You know you're not half bad when you don't speak," Donna venomously said to Jackie as they walked the corridors to the nurse's office.

"You know you wouldn't be half bad if you had some fashion sense" Jackie with the same amount of venom.

"Oh BURN!" Kelso laughed, never one to ignore a good burn.

"Shut up Kelso! It wasn't even that good" Donna muttered, her cheeks reddening in embarrassment.

"Nah she got yea there Big D," Hyde said with his signature smirk.

Before Donna could reply, she heard someone calling her name.

"Do any of you know Donna Pinnicot?" The woman asked.

"It's Pinciotti and Yes, I'm her" Donna replied annoyed.

"Well dear I don't mean to alarm you but your mother has been sent to the hospital because she apparently got her thumb stuck in something but I can't remember what, if you'll follow me your father's outside," The woman said in a soft voice knowing how hard it must be hard for a child to hear that their parent is in the hospital.

"UGH not again, I told mom not to put her thumb in the toaster" Donna grounded as she threw Kelso's arm off her and stomped away to the school's exit with the women following hurriedly behind her.

"How do you get your thumb stuck in a toaster?" Buddy questioned incredulously

"Well Donna's mom is really stupid, like to the point where she places her Jacket beside a stove and said 'Don't worry it's water proof' but hey she has a nice rack though" Hyde replied.

"Eh Guys..a little h-help here" Jackie stammered as she struggled to keep Kelso up.

"OW DAMN JACKIE THAT HURTS" Kelso screamed.

"Shut up Micheal or I'll kick you!" Jackie screamed back.

"Here Jacks, I'll help" Hyde grunted as he adjusted Kelso's arm around his shoulders.

"Thanks, Steven" She did it again! She called him Steven, he hasn't met anyone that had the balls to do that in a long time, hell even his own mother doesn't call him that!

The group walked the corridors for another minute or so before they got to the nurse's office.

"Oh dear Micheal Kelso, I should have known I'd see another Kelso boy here today," The Nurse said with a sigh as she helped him into a chair

"Aww man, one of my brothers been here already," Kelso pouted.

"Oh don't worry there wasn't any real damage done, just a couple scrapes and bruises" The Nurse reassured the youngest Kelso brother.

"Huh? Oh no, I don't care about that, we just got a bet going on, see which one of us can get injured the fastest, Crap! I just lost out on 20 bucks" Kelso pouted.

"W-Why would you even do something like that? You could get seriously hurt!" Jackie said incredulously.

"Well duh that's the point, cause chicks dig an injured guy, don't yea think Jackie" Kelso flirted as he made a weird and wiggled his eyebrows.

Hyde wanna deck Kelso, he didn't know why that pissed him off, Kelso flirted with anything that had boobs and that never pissed him off before, so then why'd it tick him off so much when he flirted with Jackie.

"Micheal that is so not true..we find babies cute" Jackie confirmed, completely oblivious to the flirting.

"Well anyways the rest of you can leave but thank you for your help, what seems to be the problem, Mr Kelso?" The nurse questioned.

After hearing their cue to leave the group left hastily.

"Well, I'm going to head to science, where are you guys next?" buddy asked.

"I'm down in Home Ect ugh I hate that class sooo much" Jackie whined.

"Why?"

"Because Jackie can't cook for shit she always and I mean always burns it" Buddy whispered to Hyde while snickering.

"Hey! I heard that! And for your information, I'm a terrific cook" Jackie said pompously

"Yeah tell that to my kitchen, Jackie," Buddy said and began walking away "Well I'll see you guys later," he said waving.

"Bye!" Jackie Shouted as she started marching off to her class.

"Hey, Jackie! Wait up I'll walk you" As soon as he said he regretted it, he was Steven Hyde he didn't ask girls to 'Wait up' girls asked him to wait up, and god did he say he'll walk her to class, man what is up with him today?

Jackie stopped dead in her tracks and turned to look at Hyde shocked, Did he just offer to walk me to class, Yes, he did, OH MY GOD he so totally likes me.

That thought elicited Jackie but chose to ignore it.

"Um thanks, Steven that's really nice of you" Jackie responded blushing.

"Hey! First, off I'm not nice ok and secondly, I only offered cause I'm heading this way and it would just be awkward if we both went this way and didn't say anything" Even as he said it he knew it was bullshit he didn't mind awkward silence, in fact, he enjoyed them and it beats having to talk bullshit with some stranger but he also just wanted to walk her to class no reason...well, not one that he could come up with, it was weird almost like he wanted to spend time with her, she was a pretty funny and you know kinda cute- DAMMIT he's turning into Forman.

"O-oh um Well ok" Jackie mumbled sadly, trying hard to hide the disappointment in her voice, why did it upset her that he didn't want to walk with her, he just wanted to not make things awkward.

Hmm, maybe he doesn't actually like me...bummer.

"Well anyways what class are you in now," Jackie asked, trying to perk up a bit.

Hyde took notice of Jackie's disappointment but didn't say anything, not really understanding what she has to be sad about.

"Umm English" he answered.

"What! Steven that's like on the other side of school, why are you going this way" Jackie questioned.

"Because I'm not going," Hyde said blankly.

"Wait so you mean you're..skipping" Jackie whispered as if it were something scandalous

"Yeah..oh come on don't tell me you've never skipped and before you say anything no leaving five minutes before the bell rings doesn't count" Hyde snickered

"O-of course I skipped school before I'm not some lame square" Jackie stuttered, desperately wanting Hyde to think she was cool.

"Yeah ok princess I'm sure you did," Hyde said sarcastically "Hey since you've already skipped, you won't mind doing it again" He smirked.

"Uhh well, I uh s-sure" Jackie stuttered, caught off guard.

"Cool let's go," Hyde said smugly and grabbed Jackie's hand before she could protest.

Hyde lead Jackie around the school until they found an exit that didn't have a teacher guarding it and made a dead sprinted to the gates with no one noticing

"Oh my God, oh my GOD! we just did that!" Jackie squealed loudly, feeling like a badass.

"Jesus man, do you think you could shout any louder? I don't think China heard you" Hyde hissed.

"Sorry" she whispered back.

"It's fine now, let's get outta here before someone finds us," Hyde said, taking Jackie's hand again and walking hastily away from the school.

He knew he didn't have to take her hand, she could have just followed him but…he liked it, he actually likes holding her hand, her hand felt small and dainty in his rough one's, which you know makes sense and all-cause she's like 5'0 but he also felt this sort of responsibility for her, he basically kidnapped her from school so he didn't want anything to happen to her and he was sure her daddy would have his head served on a platter and given to the dogs if he ever found out, rich chicks dad's are the worst man.

But he was glad he took her out today.

As for Jackie, she was trying very hard not to make a big deal out of how he was still holding her hand even though they were far away from the school, she didn't really know why she cares, he was some scruffy, dirty, poor person he shouldn't matter but he did for some reason just he did, and it confused the heck out of her she just only really met him today she'd already seen him around school and always thought he was cute in a rugged sort of way and it was hard not to know his name after all the stunts he pulls but for some reason, she never really took notice of him until today.

But she was happy she did.

The rest of the school day dragged on for what seemed to be forever for the other kids but for Jackie and Hyde they had a blast.

They couldn't go anywhere super public because Jackie was afraid someone would notice and tell her dad, so for the most part they kept it on the down-low but Hyde did end taking her to the arcade, he was appalled when he found out she'd never been to one, and he will never admit it but she kicked his ass at air hockey.

It was 3:00 when they got back to the school, Jackie's mother was coming to pick her up but Jackie knew she was in the clear for another half an hour, her mother was always 'fashionably' late, which meant that usually Jackie was left stranded at where she was for at least an hour till her mother decided to make her grand entrance.

"Steven I really enjoyed today, I had a lot of fun," Jackie said sweetly as they reached the gates.

"Eh, no problem, beats being stuck under the bleachers all day smokin' film," Hyde said nervously, he was never used to getting compliments.

"What? Steven you can't 'smoke' film" Jackie said in her 'duh' voice.

It occurred to Hyde that she thought he meant real film.

"No, Jackie that's not what I mean," he said chuckling lightly "'Film' doesn't actually 'film'".

"What? Ok now you're just talking gibberish" Jackie said confused.

"Nevermind doll" Hyde froze as soon as he said it, he looked at Jackie hoping she didn't hear the last part but judging by the look on her face, he had no such look.

"God Steven, first princess now doll what's next Goddess?" Jackie Joked, even though her stomach was doing backflips, Doll he thinks I'm a doll.

He just had to laugh at that "Goddess! Goddess!? Oh yeah sure Jackie, you're such a goddess" He said sarcastically.

"Finally, you see it my way" She pompously.

For the next half hour, they sat in silence and had some small talk here and there. Jackie was usually the type of person to fill in the silence with babbling but this was...nice, comfortable even.

HONK HONK

"Jaqueline!" Jackie mother screeched as she pulled in their brand new Lincoln

"Oh that's my mother I have to go," Jackie said sadly.

"O-oh ok I'll catch you later man" Hyde stuttered while he looked at the ground, he was hoping to spend a little more time with her.

"Um, Steven thanks a lot for today. It's been a while since I've had that much fun," she said sincerely.

Hyde didn't respond, just gave her a shrug and a half-smile, he was a little put off with how sincerely she said it, he doesn't know why but today did seem to mean a lot to her, maybe she just didn't get out a lot.

"JAQUELINE" Her mother screeched again.

"I have to go bye!" Jackie said quickly and rushed to the car but she turned around and kissed Hyde on the cheek and gave him a shy smile.

When Jackie got into the car she was immensely bombarded with accusing questions.

"Jaqueline! Who was that dirty looking boy!? Is he your boyfriend!? He better not be, just wait till I tell your father abo-" But before Pam could blow a casket Jackie interrupted her.

"Wait, wait mom calm down, Steven isn't my boyfriend he's just my friend, you know like Buddy," Jackie said chuckling

"Young lady do you think this is some laughing matter!? What would people say if they saw you with..with t-that hooligan"

"Mom! He's not a 'hooligan' he's quite a gentleman" Jackie scolded, knowing she would be punished for it.

"Jaqueline! Do NOT talk back to me, and it doesn't matter if he's a 'gentleman' he's poor, unruly, and quite possibly the dirtiest little boy I've ever had the displeasure of seeing!" Pam yelled in the nasties voice Jackie had ever heard " And not to mention his mother is Edna Hyde, that woman is a train wreck, she just got out of jail for doing Heroin" she whispered "So, of course, a woman as worthless as Edna would raise as son just. like. her"

Jackie was shell shocked, never did she hear her mother speak with such venom, such...disgust, sure she'd heard her talk shit about anyone and everyone, Jackie had always been the brunt of her mothers screaming and belittling but to hear her speak like that about a boy she didn't even know, a boy that had shown Jackie nothing but kindness (something that didn't happen often) made Jackie pissed as all hell.

"MOTHER! How could you say something like that about someone you don't even know, a kid no less" Jackie scolded "And I don't think you're in any position to judge his mother when all you do is drink and the only reasons you're not in jail is because you sleep with the officers and Daddy's reputation! Ugh, I'm so sick and tired of your hypocrisy, you think everyone is below you just because you're rich but reality check you're exactly like them if anything you're worse because you may be pretty on the inside but you will always and I mean always be a hideous person, who-" Jackie's rant came to a screeching when Pam's hand came in contact with her face.

At first, Jackie didn't register what happened but as soon as the sting set in, the trickle of blood came out her nose and tears came flowing out her eyes, she realised her mother hit her actually hit her, up until this point Pam's abuse had only been vocal but she guessed that was about to change.

"DON'T YOU EVER SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT" Pam screamed as she reared her hand back again, but before she could strike there was a knock at the window.

Pam rolled down her window while never taking her glaring eyes off Jackie.

"What" she snarled.

"Umm m-mam y-you you're holding-up traffic" The poor bystander stuttered.

As if a switch had been flipped, Pamela had gone from raging monster to soft-spoken angle.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry, me and my daughter were just having a conversation and I guess we just got caught up," Pam said, with a sickly sweet and fluttered her eyelashes.

"O-oh well that's no problem, I'll be on my way now," The man said dreamily, already taken by Pam's charms.

Pam rolled up the window and started to drive again, the car was consumed in silence but still had a very tense atmosphere, Jackie was shaking, too scared to move, even to just wipe the blood from her nose, she had never been more afraid of her mother, she was scared to move terrified she'd set Pam off again, slowly very slowly did she move to sit normally in her seat.

"Jaqueline," Pam said calmly, which just made Jackie shake more.

"Ye-yes mo-mother" She stuttered, trying her hardest not to cry.

"You are to never speak to me like that again, understood?" Pam said in her still eerily calm and slow voice.

"Yes mother," Jackie whispered, as she started to cry softly.

"Good girl" Pam smiled and patted Jackie's head.

As he watched her drive off, he couldn't help but feel weird, a good weird, the type of weird that Forman felt when he was around Donna.

He raised his hand to his cheek where Jackie had kissed him, he felt the leftover lip gloss on his fingers. If he could see himself right now he would fog himself so hard because Steven Hyde had the biggest goofiest grin plastered on his face while he dreamily stared off into the direction.

The sound of other cars driving by snapped him out of his daze, and he started to take off to the Hub, he didn't feel like heading home to Edna she'd probably ruin his mood (and day if given the chance) and, well as pansy assed as it sounded….he like feeling this way, he liked the butterflies in his stomach and the giddy feeling he had when he thought of the person who put them, not that he'd ever, ever tell anyone that, ok, he's point place's resident badass, he's not supposed to have such Eric-y thoughts about some prissy, rich, daddy's little princess.

But why did he take such a liking to her, sure she was cute...ok fine she was probably the prettiest girl he'd ever seen or at least the first girl who truly caught his attention (he could at least admit that to himself) it could be her endearing smile, sometimes he swore it lit up the room or it might be because she was fun to be around, of course, there were times he wished he could rip his ears off for some peace and her taste in music was nothing short of a crime, Who the hell thought ABBA was better than fucking Led Zeppelin?! when he heard that he did try to walk away but she clung to his arm and gave him what she likes to call her 'Bami eyes' which turned out to be very effective, but no matter how hard he tried to save her she'd fallen victim to the soulless music of ABBA and her stands on how it's 'just the best' didn't seem to falter.

He made it to the hub and looked through the window and seen the three stooges he called friends talking animated about something, he decided to put Jackie out of his mind, he couldn't let his friends know he was 'interested in point place's primadonna, if Donna found out she'd probable kick his ass two ways to Galway.

He walked into the Hub and over to his friend's.

"What's up losers" He greeted taking a seat.

"Hey Hyde man where ya been" Kelso chirped happily as he munched on some fries.

"Nowhere," he said, " what are you guys talking about?" he questioned, out of boredom.

"Kelso's new chick of the week" Donna replied blankly.

"Don't you mean skank of the week?" Hyde said snickering.

"Oh no, this one isn't skanky," Kelso said in his normal goofy voice.

"Yeah just bitchy," Donna muttered.

"Oh really? damn, Kelso never thought you'd go for a girl who didn't want to make out 24/7" Hyde commented, "Who's the poor chick that has to fend you off now?"

"Jackie Burkhart"

Hyde clenched his hands and resisted the urge to fog Kelso, Jackie of all the girls he had to like Jackie, seriously. Of course, when he had to finally start liking a girl Kelso had to start liking her too, and although he was pretty confident Kelso wasn't Jackie type he had this weird power of getting girls who were waaaay out of his league to go out with him.

"Ugh, I can't believe you Kelso! you know how much I hate that girl but you're still going after her" Donna said outraged.

"Well in his defence Donna, he'll go after anything that has boobs" Eric joked.

"Still Kelso you know me and Jackie have bad blood why are you going after her" Donna incredulously.

"Wait what's bad blood is that like a disease because if it is you're gonna have to take a couple of steps back, I can't get anything right now cause then Jackie won't go out with me" Kelso complained while holding his shirt over his nose and slowly walking away.

"No, you Dillhole! Bad Blood is a metaphor for people hating each other!" Donna said shaking her head, how is someone this dumb.

"Yeah ok, sure it is, Donna" Kelso suspiciously as he lowered himself back down.

"But Donna does have a good point, Kelso, why are you suddenly taken by the devil" Eric questioned.

"The devil, really Forman?" Hyde said to his friend in a judgmental tone. "You really are a dork"

"Well you all saw how much she wanted me today I mean she practically jumped at the chance to be near me and she was real nice to me, you know with helping me to the nurse and I realised she ain't bad lookin, so even if she doesn't wanna make out at least she's pretty enough to look at" Kelso explained, his ego growing ten folds as he 'recalled' today's events.

"Seriously Kelso? That's why you like her because she was nice to you" Hyde said with a mixture of annoyance and confusion, "Sometime when a girl is nice to you it just means she's nice, not trying to date you" Hyde said slowly as if he were talking to a toddler, Only Kelso could come up with such stupid reasons, man.

"Ok but still Kelso, Jackie? Of all the girls in school, you had to pick the most annoying one? I mean I've only talked to her once or twice but DAMN did she make my ears bleed" Eric whined.

Hyde listened to his friends shit talk a girl they barely knew, a girl who they didn't like just because Donna said so, except Kelso who was trying to come up with ways to ask her out, it pissed him off more than he would like to admit, he had to get out of here before he did something he'd regret.

Hyde abruptly stood up out of his chair "Aw crap I forgot I gonna be home before Edna gets back" Hyde signed.

"What why?" Eric asked concerned, he was the only one who knew about how bad Hyde's home life was, and while the others knew about Edna being a bitch they didn't know about the abuse, so every time Edna's name was brought up he jumped a foot wondering if she'd done anything to Hyde.

"So I can lock her out" Hyde smirked, he knew he was lying through his teeth it but it didn't sound like a bad idea to lock her out, he knew he'd get whacked around a pit when she got in but it would be worth it for a night of peace, plus it's not like she'd spent all night outside she'd probably just go to one of his many uncles.

"O-oh ok, well be safe" Eric said worriedly.

"Thanks, Erica" Hyde knew Eric was just worried for his safety but if he didn't chill the others would start asking questions, and Hyde did not want to deal with that, especially if word got around to Kitty.

Hyde left the Hub and started on his way home, while his happy mood had lessened greatly he was still happ-less pissed off and that was saying something.

Three days, three days and she still hasn't shown up for school, to say Buddy was worried was an understatement.

Jackie has been off school for three days, the longest she's ever been off since like forever. She always prides herself in three things being pretty, punctual and perfect, the three Ps so for her to be completely radio silent for days just doesn't make any sense.

He'd tried calling, he tried just going over but no one would answer.

As he walked to school he heard footsteps rushing up behind him and before he could turn he felt the person collide into him and wrap their arms around him.

"Oh, Buddy I missed you!" He heard a familiar voice yell.

"Jackie, that you?!" Buddy questioned as Jackie came into view.

"Yup miss me" Jackie smiled.

"Of course I did, you've practically been missing for days!" Buddy screeched.

"Oh Buddy you're so dramatic and people call me the drama queen" Jackie Joked as she playfully rolled her eyes.

"Jackie, I'm being serious where have you been," Buddy asked seriously.

Jackie heard the concern in his voice, while it warmed her heart to know he was worried she couldn't very well tell him her mother had hit her and it took three days for the bruise to go away.

"Buddy I've just been sick it's nothing to worry about," Jackie said in an uncharacteristically gentle tone.

While still suspicious Buddy decided not to dig into knowing it'll just annoy her.

They reached school and went their separate ways, Jackie's day went about as well as you could expect, her 'friends' all asked where she was before filling her in on the newest gossip that Jackie didn't have the energy to listen to, so yeah everything went fine until lunch.

"Kelso I still don't understand why you want to ask her out but I guess it's your funeral," Donna said with a sign.

"Because Donna she's pretty duh, you know for a smart girl you're not so smart," Kelso said, rolling his eyes.

"What did you just say?!" Donna screeched as she started to stand.

"Uhhhhh no-nothing" Kelso stuttered, shrinking back into his seat.

"Hey calm there jugs a-poppin', it's not like he has a chance, he's like the court jester and Jackie's the snotty princess," Hyde said.

"Ugh, I hate when you guys call me that," Donna said even more ticked off.

"So anyway, when are you going to ask her out Kelso?" Eric asked.

"When she comes back, she's been off for the past couple of days" Kelso pouted.

"Well I think that's her now" Eric pointed out as he saw her walk into the cafeteria with Buddy.

As soon as Hyde saw her his posture electrified, it had been a while since he'd seen her, and for some reason, he missed that squeaky voice of hers.

"Alright! Here's my chance!" Kelso yelled happily, jumping up from his seat.

"Oh no Kelso, sit yourself down," Donna said as she slammed him back down.

"Wait what?" Kelso questioned "Donna I have to ask her out before some else does"

"Oh I know but since you've been such a 'good' friend I think I might help a little" Donna said with an evil grin.

"Oh really!? Thanks, Donna, so what are you going to do? Are you gonna chat me up so much to her that I'll look better than I already do?" Kelso asked excitedly

"Yeah I guess you could say that," Donna said innocently.

"Cool! What are you gonna do?"

"Oh you'll find out," Donna said with a sly smile.

She got up from her seat and made her way over to Jackie's table as the others looked on, Kelso looked like a kid on Christmas, but Eric and Hyde smirked at each other both knowing Donna was probably about to get some payback for being called stupid.

"So then I told her-" Jackie was interrupted when she noticed a ginger giant coming toward her table.

"What do you want?" Jackie hissed.

"Well before anything happens I'm gonna head up to get a drink cause I don't want to be caught up in this little rivalry you guys have," Buddy said and marched off

"Woah calm down there tiny, I'm not here to start something, just wanna tell yea that I know someone who likes you," Donna said

"Yeah so? Who doesn't, I'm the cutest girl in school. What guy doesn't like me" Jackie said, rolling her eyes.

"Wow, damn you have a big ego" Donna whispered to herself "Anyways it's not just anyone who likes you it's my friend," Donna said pointing her finger over to her table of friends

"What was that?" Jackie questioned.

"I said my friend likes you" Donna repeated slowly, pointing again to her table but this time both Hyde and Eric waved cheerfully as Kelso had some weird look on his face that Jackie only assumed was his way of trying to look cool even though he looked constipated.

As Jackie looked at the table her eyes finally landed on Hyde and she felt her heart speed up, she knew he liked her why wouldn't he? She felt something for him too but couldn't quite place what it is she'd never had a crush before so this is all new territory, she started to think of all the coupley things they can do, holding hands, walking to class together, him holding her books and maybe even…..kissing, I wonder if Stevens ever kissed anyone before? Would he even be a good kisser?

As Jackie was off in her own little dreamworld Donna went on about how 'Great' her friend was.

"Kelso has like a lot of….Great..uh quality's, you know he's set himself on fire at least three times already this year, one time he didn't even know how it happened, then there was also the time he shot Eric's pet hamster snowball with a bb gun..." Donna went on to tell Jackie about all the stupid things he'd either done or had been (easily) tricked into and finally told her all about the girls Kelso had been with, making sure to tell her that he'd been with nearly all the cheerleaders.

"So yeah he really and I mean really has a way with the ladies" Donna emphasised "So Yeah, anyway he wants to know if you'd like to go out sometime," Donna asked, she had a smug smile on her face that said 'Ha take that Kelso there's no way she going out with you now'

Too bad for Donna, Jackie wasn't listening to one word she said, in favour of imagining all the fun stuff she and Steven are going to do together.

"Jackie? Hellooo?" Donna said, snapping her fingers.

"Huh, oh what? Sorry, kinda zoned out there what did you say?" Jackie asked.

"I said he wants to ask you out and if he could get your phone number," Donna said.

Jackie's heart rate sped up and she started to blush like crazy, Wow she'd finally have a boyfriend, all of her 'friends' had been with at least one guy at this point, but she had never taken a real interest in anyone besides Steven, so it'll be interesting to say the least.

"Yeah sure totally, here, tell him to call me around 6 ok?" Jackie said meekly as she wrote her number down.

Donna was in shock as Jackie handed her the piece of paper, seriously after all that she still wanted to go out with Kelso, is she that desperate.

"Uh ok, I'll give it to him now" Donna mumbled awkwardly as she walked away.

"Ok, so I don't see any blood or hear any screaming. I assume that it went well, what did she want to talk about?" Buddy questioned.

"She told me that Steven likes me and wanted my number" Jackie said turning beet red

"Oh really now?" she glared at Buddy who smiled smugly, she had filled him in on how much of a 'delinquent' she'd become and may or may not have gushed about how cute a certain curly-haired menace was.

"Let's get out of here," She said quickly as she dragged him away.

"But I want to see your loverboy and don't you want to see his reaction?" he asked tauntingly.

"Oh God no! I don't want to look desperate! If I just wait around for his response it'll look like I want to be with him!" Jackie said incredulously.

"Wait, is that not what you want?" Buddy questioned.

"God Buddy, weren't you listening? If I look like I want to be with him then I'll look desperate and if one thing turns guys off the most is a desperate girl...or a fat girl"

"I'm not even going to ask how you got there," he said blankly.

Hey everyone, this is a new fic I've been working for a while and if you follow my Tumblr you'll know I've mentioned it a few times but due to complications with , I haven't been able to upload it until now this whole thing has been such a huge pain in the ass but now it's finally here.

Now a few wee things about this Fic is that it's based on a ficlet by Jacquelineshyde, so I want to credit this idea to them as they came up with the original concept a while ago and I don't know how to put links in so I'll just copy and paste it here...

Donna approaching Jackie before she ever dated Kelso, and telling her "my friend likes you" to mess with Kelso.

When Jackie looks over at where he is, Eric and Hyde are also waving at her to fuck Kelso up and she just smiles, and gets all red, and gives Donna her number for him.

Surprised, Donna gives it to Kelso and he immediately calls that same day. "

Your voice sounds weird", Jackie says, "It doesn't fit your face". But lets it go. Like, three days later Kelso asks her out in school and she's so surprised, Kelso thinks she's going to say no, but she nods.

During the Kelso/Jackie break-up from season 2 to 3, Jackie spends more time with Donna alone and one day she confesses she thought Donna was talking about Hyde when she told her about her friend liking her. Donna laughs her ass off, she wants to go yell it at the Hub where the boys are, but Jackie asks her not to because her crush on Hyde has just gotten embarrassing after not feeling anything during their kiss.

She shuts up. But years later, it becomes the start of her small speech at Jackie and Hyde's wedding. She finds out not even Hyde knew about it, only Red Forman and her.

Kelso can't fucking believe it, he starts shouting that's a lie, Eric can't stop laughing and Fez yells at Kelso's face "It's a wedding buuuuurn!".

Donna tries to keep her speech, but everyone is too busy laughing, and Hyde is too distracted looking at Jackie and murmuring things before kissing her deep, and loooong. Donna sighs and signals them, "That's it, that's the speech. To Hyde and Jackie!" ~

So yeah when I read this I just had to write something about it, sadly I don't think this person uses Tumblr anymore so I didn't get to ask permission to use this but all credit to this idea goes to Jacquelineshyd, even if this person doesn't use Tumblr anymore go to their blog it's filled with amazing Jackie and Hyde stuff

Also, another thing I wanted to add is that my other fics are on hiatus until this one is over which shouldn't belong because this is only gonna be three chapters long, so don't worry nothing is getting abandoned I just can't handle three fics at the same time.

I hoped everyone enjoyed this hopefully the next chapter will be out soon as I've already started working on it.

Ps, I'm sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, I'm Dyslexic and these things are really hard to spot but I try really hard to proofread as best I can. :P
