SCREAMING ON TOP OF LUNGS

Chapter 1: Galleon Assault

It was a dark and stormy night on the Dinosaur Planet, also known as Sauria. The rain was pouring, and slashing down the sky, covering the sky in a grey veil, while also creating a foreboding, and dark, yet beautiful atmosphere, lightning flashed through the dark blue sky with the occasional showing of the lightning bolts traveling down, or through the clouds, and the occasional thunder boomed throughout the air, making an intimidating noise that would scare the living daylights out of any creature that hears it, as they would have the common sense to stay inside their huts, houses, or castles, to wait out the rain.

Not that it stopped someone from traveling through the sky, despite the rain that continued to pour onto them both as they were illuminated by the lightning that was made from the clouds above them. One of them was a Pterodactyl-like Cloud Runner, whom was one of the species of Dinosaurs that inhabited the Planet, and one of the two ruling tribes. And he was flying through the air, like he was on a mission. Which he was.

And there was someone who was riding on his back, whom was a female. That someone was not a Dinosaur, unlike the Cloud Runner. Instead, she happened to be a Vulpine. And she was, in the eyes of the Mammalian folks, as well as those who aren't, quite a beautiful Vulpine. She had blue fur with some white fur on some sections of her body, especially her face, while having blue hair that trailed to her upper neck, and she had blue eye colors. She wore a bare amount of clothing to preserve her decency, with a golden Bra-like top with white triangles on it, and a white loincloth with golden trims, that trailed down to her upper legs above her knees, and she wore arm, shin, and shoulder guards as her armor to protect herself, and white and golden sandals on her feet, all of which also showed that she has white tattoos on her body, including the Swirl tattoo on her hips, while having golden ring bands on her tail.

And she was holding a spear-like staff on her right hand. Which was a golden staff with cobalt blue markings on it's hilt, while its golden edges, had blue Gems on both the top, and the bottom of the staff. And on her back, happened to be what looked like a knight's sword in its sheathe.

Her name is Krystal. She was a Cerinian, and sadly, one of the last of her kind. And now she was a newcomer to this world, having arrived here a couple days ago.

She was feeling a little uneasy, not really because of the weather, or the circumstances that brought her to this Planet, but because for days, she had been plagued by some nightmares that usually consisted of her helplessly watching as her Planet gets destroyed. Sometimes, even being on the Planet itself when it blows up. And it also sometimes ended with half of a leering face that looked on as it silently gloats about the destruction of the Planet, with no regard, or remorse. She guessed that this face seems to have been responsible for why her Planet is gone.

She just wonders who the person with that face was, and why he blew up her home Planet. And of course, she wonders why this planet seems to be going through a similar sort of disaster, that she fears, could lead it to a similar fate.

A fate, that she is determined to stop from happening.

But she had to keep her thoughts in the now as she kept on riding her way through the sky on the Cloud Runner. After all, Cerinia's loss is in the past now. She just needed to keep moving forward, and her pursued target is her future that would be beneficial to moving on, simply so he won't do it again to the other Planets.

For now though, she kept her task in riding on the Cloud Runner through the Storm, and ensured that she wouldn't slip off. Or her quest, and her hopes, and troubles, would end swiftly from a very high fall into something bone shattering.

That's when she noticed that she was being spoken to by the Cloud Runner during her thoughts.

So she spoke back in his native Language, that she was able to quickly learn when he first got to this world. "Were you speaking already?" She asked in the Saurian Language.

"Yes! What are you looking for in this stormy sky?" The Cloud Runner asked.

"I received a garbled distress signal while I was passing by! It said something about a palace hidden in this storm!" She responded.

"Whoever it was, they sounded like they were in danger!" She then said.

"And what about the Princess? There was mentions she'd be here from the Queen!" The Cloud Runner asked.

"Why he thinks she'll be out here, I don't know!" Krystal said, just as curious herself. "But she seems to be in trouble too! I'll try to save her too, when we meet!"

"But my main objective is in the palace! That's why I'm currently on my way to that place!?" Krystal then said.

Before the Cloud Runner could reply, Krystal sensed some danger coming. "Zephyr! Lookout behind us!" She yelled out as she ducked her head to avoid a sudden fireball that came out of nowhere.

Then she turned back to then see that there was some more fire balls that was coming their way. One of which was headed right for them as it seemed like the Cloud Runner known as Zephyr, was gonna get hit. Krystal had to quickly pull out the sword that was in her holster, and try to summon a shield to protect herself, and the Cloud Runner.

She was able to do such, and protect herself, and the Cloud Runner, but the shield wasn't all the way up when the ball collided. Causing the sword to get blasted out of her hand. "Oh no! My sword!" She said in horror, seeing it descending through the sky below her.

"Oh dear, he's gonna blow a gasket if he hears about this." She thought.

But she had to continue to focus on what was casting those fire balls, to then see that a flying galleon ship was the source of them. It was a large ship, that looked like a sea ship with wings, and it had a dragon-like animated dinosaur head on its front that poked out like a bowsprit. And it was flying towards them, making Zephyr descend, and move out of the way of the air ship as it passed over them, letting him pull back up.

But the danger wasn't over yet, as Krystal had her staff's head aimed at the ship, while focusing her mind, causing some buildup of plasma to form on her staff's front end, as she put her rare talents in powers, to use. Which was the manipulation of energy, where she would then have her staff aimed at the rear cannons, before shooting out some bright blue plasma balls that was able to wreak the rear cannons before they could fire out at least one cannonball.

With the coast cleared, she had Zephyr flying towards the deck of the ship, before nimbly perching himself onto the edge of the deck, and let her slide off of his right side onto the floor.

"Thank you for the help Zephyr, I can take it from here." She said, preparing herself for trouble as she still had her staff in hand. While Zephyr obediently flew off, but stayed not too far from the ship, to save Krystal when she finds trouble.

Which she knew, there could be some on the ship. So she was treading carefully as she explored the deck of the ship.

Which was where she ended up noticing a hanging cage that looked like it could trap a parrot inside. Except in the cage itself was not a parrot, but a more smaller Cloud Runner.

Which was much to her shock. "Another Cloud Runner? How?" She thought, wondering why the owners of the Galleon kidnapped the Cloud Runner.

Whom, she was certain, looked like a Princess of the Cloud Runners.

When she approached the cage, she ended up seeing that it was indeed the Princess of the Cloud Runners.

"Princess Kyte! Are you okay?" Krystal asked upon recognizing her.

"Krystal? Did my mother send you here?!" Kyte asked, having met her before.

Krystal shook her head. "Not really! But my secondary objective is to save you!" She said, as it was raining around them. So speaking without raising their voices would've made it a little hard for them to hear each other.

"There's a key in the brig of this Galleon. But be careful, the General's gonna know you're onboard." Kyte said.

Krystal felt that she had a feeling of who the General was, according to the other tribes of dinosaurs that she hung out with before this adventure. So she made sure to obey, as she explored the Galleon's deck, before moving to the entrance to the interior hull, where she got ambushed by some Sharpclaws.

Which were the enemies of the Earth Walkers, and the Cloud Runners, due to their aggression, and their ambition to rule the entire planet of Sauria. Unfortunately for them, they usually got defeated, and repelled back to their lands, where they belong.

And it was no different here, as Krystal drew her staff towards them, before she was able to parry one of their swings, then countering with her own swing to the attacking one's head, hard enough to stun him. Before attacking with another swing that was strong enough to hit the Sharpclaw in between the eyes to knock it out.

The other one tried to whack her in revenge, but she predicted that he'd do that, as she nimbly ducked under the attack, before striking back with her melee attack that was followed by her horizontal swings that moved left then right, before she then jumped up with a spin, before slamming the staff into the Sharpclaw's head while briefly swinging it backhanded into the Sharpclaw's face to knock it out, and break some of its teeth.

Now she just sheathed her staff, before continuing down the hull to where she can find the key to Kyte's cage on the Galleon ship.

After some more running, she was able to get to the room where she saw some sleeping Sharpclaws that surrounded a key in the middle of the room. Which she believed, is the one for the cage that holds Kyte. She was wondering why the Sharpclaws didn't hear the scuffle that took place not too far away from the room, but she didn't dwell on it.

She just snuck her way to the key, and was able to take it, and pocket it into her pack on her leg, before sneaking out of the room, before jogging her way back to the deck where Kyte was held.

Unfortunately, before she was able to make it to Kyte's cage, she suddenly saw the door opening up near the cage.

And out stepped a mighty, hulking Sharpclaw, who looked like the tallest Sharpclaw of the tribe, clad in form-hugging leather armor that looked brownish-red, a horned helmet on his head, and he had a large sword that was sheathed, which looked two handed, yet looked like he could hold it with only one hand, while his right hand was replaced with two sharp prongs of a metal Claw.

"General Scales! Ruler, tyrant, and dictator of the Sharpclaw tribe, and Dinosaur Planet!" The Sharpclaw known as General Scales announced. "What brings you to my Galleon?"

"My name is Krystal, and I don't wish to fight you! I've just come looking for the princess! And I also search for the distress signal!"

The General laughed a little at that. "Distress signal? This whole Planet is in distress!" Scales said.

"And you seem to be a long way from home, girl. I didn't think the wizard would ask you to do his dirty work." He then said humorously, walking to the higher floor of the deck.

"Wizard?! Does he mean who I think he means?!" She thought, knowing who the wizard is, whom happens to be her adoptive father, and one of the other last of the Cerinians. And that thought had her feeling nervous.

"How do you know the wizard?! Evil General?!" She asked.

Scales ended up turning around to face her with a smile. All while faking looking hurt at the accusation of being evil. "Evil? I'm not evil. I merely rule by fear, over the various tribes of this world, otherwise, they'll keep on fighting me, with no end of their resistance in sight." He said.

"And let's just say, we had a nice little chat, and that he agreed to take a rest for a little while. Until this planet is mine, that is." He then said with an evil grin.

Krystal felt horror going through her spine, at what he meant by 'little chat' and 'taking a rest for a little while' since it couldn't mean something good. She hoped that he didn't kill him.

"You coward! Mother is going to send an army against you! And she won't rest until I am free!" Kyte said defiantly, regardless of her state.

Scales turned to her, still smiling. "Ah yes princess, your mother! Once she's dealt with, I'll pay your mom… a visit!" He said, roughly making her cage swing, and poking at her with his claw, to emphasize his power over her, by tormenting the Cloud Runner Princess.

Krystal never liked it when the defenseless folks gets tormented. Especially if they were little Cloud Runners. And still remembering what Scales said about the Wizard had her even more angered. Pretty much to the point where she couldn't stop the anger that was going through her, as she charged ahead against the General, intending to attack him, regardless of the chance that the fight may not end in her favor.

Only to get caught in his only hand that he had, as she was lifted up by her torso, and her throat.

"You dare challenge me?! You dare to fight against me?!" He asked cockily, and angrily.

Only for Krystal to blast him with the plasma ball from her staff, knocking herself out of his hand as she backflipped her way to the floor of the deck. Now she had her staff drawn, and ready to fight him with. "I dare indeed! And I shall kill you if need be! Regardless of your strength, and intimidation!" She said, uncaring of the danger of fighting the General.

General Scales was not happy at the response that she gave, even though he also felt like tipping his hat to her, so to speak, at how audacious she was in challenging him.

"So be it! Then try killing me for the princess, if you wish. But it won't be easy, little whelp! I'll make sure of it!" He proclaimed, ready to fight against her as well as he still had the cage held.

Krystal was a good fighter. But she felt that Scales is no slouch in combat either, and he knows it. So it seemed to her, that this is going to be a tough fight that she's going to go through. And she intends to win it, regardless of how outmatched she could be.

Suddenly, before it even began, lightning ended up coming down, and shocking Scales as he spazzed in place, much to Krystal's surprise.

Once he was done spazzing, he looked to be a bit hurt, and a little fried, from that. But he was still standing up straight as he glared at her through his fiery eye colors "Lucky little whelp! We shall meet again in the future! So watch your back!" He said, before teleporting away, likely retreating for now.

As questioning as she was, of how she was lucky enough to send him into retreat, she didn't really care, as she just rolled with it, and just walked to the cage to help free Kyte after sheathing her staff.

"Are you okay, Princess Kyte?" Krystal asked.

"I can still fly. And don't worry, he wasn't able to hurt me. At least, not enough to where I can't fly." Kyte said, assuring Krystal that she's still able to fly.

Krystal felt relieved for her. Before she then was able to let her out of the Cage, before putting her on her shoulder for roosting on. Just to help her save her strength.

Then she had the other Cloud Runner, coming back to the ship, before jumping off of it, not afraid of the drop below her since she knows that Zephyr can catch her, while she keeps a hold on the Princess. Who was scared, and hopeful that they'll be saved, before then feeling Krystal landing on something that was flying. Before seeing that another Cloud Runner was whom Krystal was riding on.

"Hang on princess, we're on our way to Krazoa Palace now." Krystal then said, carrying Kyte like a child as she was now riding on Zephyr to Krazoa Palace.

Whom was relieved, and delighted that another Cloud Runner was helping them both as they headed onwards through the dark stormy sky.

They were able to get to the Krazoa Palace after a couple minutes of flying through the stormy skies. Where Zephyr roosted on the edge of the open section where Krystal dismounted him, and was now on foot, with princess Kyte on shoulder.

"This is the Krazoa Palace! The main citadel of Dinosaur Planet!" Zephyr said, looking at the palace. "If Scales is truly trying to achieve total domination over this planet, then he'd have to fight his way through this place, and take it."

"I see." Krystal said, before noticing the somber look on Zephyr. "Is something wrong?"

"Krazoa Palace is guarded by several soldiers from the Earth Walker tribe. Regardless of our animosities, I always had respect for them, since they were fierce fighters that could stand toe to toe with even the Red Eye tribe, regardless of their strength." He responded in appraisal to the Earth Walkers.

"If that distress signal did come from that place, then it seems that this Planet might be in danger like he claimed. And that Scales has somehow gained more power than we expected." Zephyr said seriously.

The tone had both Kyte, and Krystal silent as they thought about what they learned. From the impression that the latter got from the brief fight with the General himself, he seemed to be the one who desired power above all things, and could not be satisfied with merely conquering Sauria into his powerful grip. And she feared what he would do to achieve that goal, and what he'd do once he accomplishes that goal. Which reminded her of a similar sinister figure that she knew of, back when her world was destroyed. Whom was also boasting over its ashes, while also having a similar insatiable lust for power. Those who follow him, and stand in his way, be damned.

It was then, that she knew that her little quest for answers might have greater importance. But it needed to be put on hold for now. She had a dictator to beat first.

"But it doesn't matter. We can find a way to defeat him, and bring peace back to Dinosaur Planet! And I think I can start in there. What do you know of this place?" Krystal asked.

"Only what I've been told. I admit, I didn't set foot inside, due to the Earth Walkers. So far at least." Zephyr responded, much to Krystal's and Kyte's dismay. "But don't feel sad, the survivors should give you the information that you might need, about this place." He then said assuredly.

Which was true, both Krystal, and Kyte admits.

"Just go on ahead, and make sure the Princess is safe. Be careful in there though, there could still be some danger inside, especially from the remaining Sharpclaw forces!" Zephyr said, before flying away, feeling that if the distress signal came from there, then it should definitely mean that the Palace must've been in danger. And could still be if there was any remnants of the invasion force inside.

Something that Krystal also believed could be the case, as she was treading with caution on the outside of the Krazoa palace. Especially while seeing that there was a bunch of floating jellyfish-like creatures that she sensed, isn't friendly.

"Let's be careful as we tread here, and in there. There could still be some of them around. And I'd rather not have you get caught in their grasp again." Krystal said, drawing her staff.

Kyte nodded, as she stayed roosted on Krystal's shoulder as she proceeded onwards, making sure to avoid the jellyfish-like creatures, only taking them down with her staff when they get too close, or block their path. While she proceeded to go, where she knows where to enter the palace. Which was blocked by some boxes that was blocking her path.

All of which, were breakable, as she shattered them with her staff, releasing some edible eggs form those crates. "Puk-Puk eggs? They seem beneficial, even though I feel bad for the mother Puk-Puks." Krystal thought as she picked some of them up, and put them in her pack, before moving onwards through the path to the entrance.

Where they came, across some wounded Earth Walkers, much to both Krystal's, and Kyte's sad dismay.

One of the Earth Walkers ended up looking at Krystal with shock in its eyes, having known Krystal herself, for at least a year. "Krystal?"

"What happened here?" Krystal asked.

"General Scales, and his forces, attacked the Krazoa Palace." The Earth Walker wheezed out. "We tried to hold them off, but we were overwhelmed. This time, he was too strong for us."

He tried to move to her, but she stopped him. "Try not to move. I can get the Wizard to help you once I find him."

"I'm afraid he can't. Not this time at least. Our King sent us here to protect him, and the Krazoa Spirits, but Scales overwhelmed us." He said sadly.

Then he started to cough, losing what is left of his life. "The… Captain, is just ahead… with the… wizard… Be sure to find them both… to save us. It's up… to you both, now." He then said, as he started to die in front of Krystal, and Kyte.

Krystal rubbed her hand on the Earth Walker's snout as he took his final breaths, all while using her power to relieve his pain. She could've used it to try to heal him, but he was beyond healing at that point, and it'd take everything out of her to heal him. All she could do, is merely relieve his pain in his final moments, and make his death as painless as possible.

All while Kyte was looking on in sadness.

Sure Kyte was a Cloud Runner, but she never really resented the Earth Walkers, despite being raised to do such by the king of the Cloud Runners. If anything, she was scared of them, but not to the point of hating them.

And seeing them like this, had her feeling sorry for them. Regardless of their history.

Krystal grieved for a little bit at the Earth Walker's death, trying not to either cry, or yell in frustration at his death. There was currently no time for her to do either, after all. Then she remembered that he said that the Wizard was with the Captain of the Earth Walker regiment that was stationed here, so she knew that she might need to enter the Palace to find them both. Especially the Wizard, whom she hoped to the gods, that he was alright.

So she decided to find a way to break open the crack in the wall.

She didn't have to search long, when Kyte pointed out that there was an explosive barrel that they could use. So she used it on the crack by throwing it at it, and blew open the wall to proceed onwards into the Palace.

Where she entered the halls of the palace, while avoiding more of the jellyfish-like creatures, that she was told, was the guardians of the Palace. Where she ended up meeting up with another wounded Earth Walker. Whom, thankfully isn't dying of his wounds, but rather he needs some rest first according to her senses.

That one noticed her, and was shocked at her presence. "You! What brings you here?!" He asked.

"We're looking for the Captain of this regiment. And the Wizard. Where is he?" Krystal asked.

"Y-you mean, the Cloud Runner Princess is here with you?" He asked, noticing Kyte on Krystal's shoulder.

"Y-yes. I'm with her." Kyte said. "We've heard that Scales has attacked this place. But why would he do that?"

"He attacked the Palace… so that he could capture the Spirits for himself. They hold great power, from what I know. Our Captain, and the Wizard has more… information on them." He responded.

"C-can we help? Where's the captain?" Kyte asked.

"They've been sealed in the inner chambers… of the Palace. Please find… them. But you both must tread carefully." He said, showing no hostility to Kyte. Which had her calming down.

"Believe me when I say, that we're way ahead of you on that. There could be some of them that are still here, after all." Krystal said.

"It's not just that!" He quickly said to her, before coughing a bit. Making sure that they're still listening.

"A terrible evil has appeared in this place too, around the time General Scales has attacked. I'm certain that… he brought it here. And it's been sealed inside the inner chambers too. Be on your guard… and ensure that the Princess will survive too. Her mother would be furious otherwise. And now's not the time for conflict with her, or her tribe." He continued, before resting a bit.

Krystal, and Kyte, made sure to obey that request, as they both continued onwards, confident that the Earth Walker will survive according to the former's senses.

Krystal broke the crates that was in her way, causing another food item to fall out of the box, being a spherical fruit. "Dumbledang Pods. I might need these later too." She then thought, as the also packed them in, before running ahead with Kyte still on her shoulder.

Whom, was now shivering nervously, when she saw that there was jets of fire that was being made, hoping that they won't end up getting turned to ashes if they weren't careful. Something that had Krystal making sure that it won't happen, as she was now running towards the end of the hall, making sure to stop in place until the fire jets are turned off, where she saw a cracked wall that was in the doorway, blocking them from continuing.

So she quickly ran back, looked for another barrel with Kyte's help, and ended up carrying the barrel all the way to the hall, where she avoided the fire, before lobbing the barrel at the wall to open the way to the next room.

Where they were now in the room with another explosive barrel that was next to a floor button. Which Krystal decided to stand on, feeling it sink lower into the ground as the large door to the next room opened. But then closed when she tried to get to it.

Krystal quickly knew what it was, as she politely stopped Kyte from explaining what it is, before picking up the nearest explosive barrel, and gently putting it on the pressure switch, as the door remained open for her to enter it to then see two things that had her surprised in a pleasant sense.

The Earth Walker was resting on the floor, who was dressed differently from the others, showing that it was the Captain that she was looking for. And she sensed that he was resting off his injuries that was recently healed.

And another figure, who was a red wolf, with somewhat aged features to his face, was sitting on a stone seat right next to a pillar, as he ended up looking back at her, looking tired, but relieved at what he was seeing.

"Krystal. Thank th' gods that ye're okay." He said, having a Scottish accent to his voice.

"Randorn! I was hoping that were alive! Thank goodness my hopes were answered." Krystal said in the common language that her people spoke in, relieved to see him, as she ran to him to hug him. Not too tightly though, since he was weakened.

Randorn, was the aforementioned Wizard, whom Krystal knew for most of her life, and was a powerful wizard himself in his prime. He's still got it, but he was currently feeling exhausted, and hurt, almost like not even he could resist Scales's advance towards the palace.

He also was the adoptive father of Krystal's, having taken her in when she was just a young kit. And to this day, he was like a father to her, even though she knew that he isn't her literal father, which he also admits. But she didn't care, as he was nonetheless her father figure, even in her eyes as he raised her to her current age.

And he too was one of the last of the Cerinian folks that has survived the destruction of her home Planet. A fact, that also haunts him too. But he has moved on, like Krystal has, herself.

Along with one of his surviving sons that he too has, that he hopes that Krystal will meet again on this planet. For now though, they were searching for answers, but they were given a place to stay, on Dinosaur Planet after coming across it one day.

"What happened to you? It was Scales wasn't it?!" She asked, concerned as she bent to meet his gaze after her hug was done.

"Aye. Indeed it 'twas. But ah'll be fine. What about you though?" Randorn asked.

"I'll be fine too. No need to worry about me." Krystal said.

Randorn smiled at that. "Ah knew I taught ye well. Did ye rescue th' princess? And th' Earth Walker prince?"

"She's here. Safe and sound." Krystal responded, referring to Kyte, who was focusing on the sleeping Earth Walker Captain. "But I have yet to meet up with the Prince."

Randorn was somber at the mention of the Prince, even though he was relieved about Kyte as she was now near the sleeping Captain. "Do not worry little one. The Earth Walker has been healed by me. He'll be back up once he's strong again." Randorn said to Kyte, speaking the Saurian Language like Krystal does, much to the Princess's surprise since it's the first time she met Randorn.

But she was also relieved as well, especially at the fact that there was going to be some of the Earth Walkers that was going to survive the battle in the Krazoa Palace, as she roosted back on Krystal's shoulder with a relieved smile on her face.

"What about 'his' sword though? Was he able tae receive it?" Randorn then asked.

Krystal was shamefully looking down at the ground at the question. "The Galleon of General Scale's blasted it out of my hands. I'm sorry to say, that I lost it. But I'll make sure to retrieve it once I'm able to find it again."

Randorn was again, somber at what he heard. Not to mention agitated. "Ah'm relieved that ye're unharmed at least. Your survival is just as important to me as my son's. Nevertheless, ye have to find it, and bring it to him. Or he might be defenseless without it in his hands, should he meet the Sharpclaws again, let alone Scales himself." Randorn said seriously.

Krystal ensured that finding the sword that she dropped on the way here, would be her secondary objective that she intends to succeed in too. "You can count on me." She said, determined.

Randorn smiled at her for the response. Then he got serious. "My dear, this Planet is in extreme danger. Th' Krazoa needs your help… They're dying."

That was when Krystal had a sudden thought. "Aye. It 'twas I who sent th' signal. Or tae be precise, him, when Scales attacked us. The Earth Walkers that was guarding this place was beaten, regardless of my efforts." He then said, before Krystal could say anything.

"What were you doing here though?" Krystal asked.

"The King of the Earth Walkers sent me tae this place tae assist th' others in defending th' Krazoa Palace, the sacred home to the Krazoa. Especially the Krazoa Spirits. The Krazoa are peaceful spirits, capable o' bringin life tae a Planet like this one. But Scales wanted to take tae take' the spirits, 'an' use them fur his own purposes. Not knowing that he had them scattering throughout th' planet in doin' so. Makin sure that those like him, won't obtain their power. Without them however, th' planet is doomed. At least, accordin tae him." Randorn explained, referring to the king Earth Walker. "We intended tae have a Cornerian sent 'ere, but ye came instead." Randorn finished.

"I couldn't just let the signal go unanswered, especially an important one like this. Is there anything I can do?" She asked.

Randorn smiled at her, feeling somber, yet hopeful. "My girl. Ah was hoping, an' yet, dreading that this day would come. Only th' pure of heart kin take th' tests. Those that are willing tae use them tae help others, an' not fur their own selfish ends, are th' worthy ones that kin bring peace tae this world. If saving this world is truly your desire, then enter the shrine to my left." He said, as a door opened, showing a slightly raised glowing pad in a small alcove.

Which caused Krystal to walk to it with Kyte still on her shoulder. She was feeling a sort of chill through her that left her feeling a little nervous as she was getting closer.

"Don't be scared my girl. Ah know ye kin do it. Once inside, make your way tae th' spirit within, an' pass its test, an' await its reward to ye. That should begin your quest for those spirits." He then said. "Return tae me once ye're done. Dinna worry, I will survive as long as I remain here, where th' power of th' krazoa will heal me. So take as much time in there as ya need. I'm not goin anywhere."

Krystal still wondered if she can overcome whatever challenges that the Krazoa can dish out to her, throughout her impending quest through Dinosaur Planet. Including the one that's to confront her in the shrine. But she was too determined to back down regardless, as she proceeded to the glowing pad. "Thank you, father." She said, before standing on the pad.

At first, nothing happened, until she started to glow, as the light surged from the floor under her. Then just as suddenly as it emerged, it vanished along with her, and Kyte since she was still on her shoulder.

The quest for the Krazoa Spirits has begun.

And done.

And here it is folks, my tenth fanfic is here. And it's a retelling of Star Fox Adventures, the final game that Rareware developed for Nintendo, prior to their buyout to Microsoft.

Also, yes. I'm aware that there are already other versions of this fic that was done already. Most famously, Star Fox: The Saurian Adventure by ninjafoxshadow, and the continuation of the same fic by x-game, both of which, I recommend reading as well if any of you readers haven't read those already. But here, I'm doing something that I hope will make this unique from their version.

Being that I'm taking some assets from the game that Star Fox Adventures was going to be, being Dinosaur Planet. A game was going to be a solely made Rareware game on the Nintendo 64, before Nintendo rebranded the game into the Star Fox series, and delayed to the Gamecube. Among other differences.

Most notably, Krystal has never lost her staff in this to begin with. Instead, the sword that she dropped is going to be Fox's melee weapon that he'll use, even though he's still gonna use his blaster as well. There's also the character from Dinosaur Planet, Randorn. Along with Sabre, later on in the story. While Fox is going to be in this fic too.

He'll still play his primary role in this, as Krystal also becomes his companion as well. Just like in The Saurian Adventure.

As for what else I'm going to do to make this fic more unique, we're gonna have to wait and see.

Edit: Also, Shout Out to the site, Krystal Archive, for having the Saurian Translator that I used for this fic.

Edit2: I apologize that the Saurian Language is not in this fic anymore. One of the reviewers wasn't fond of its use, so I edited them out for this chapter. And I won't be using it in future chapters of this fic. Again, my apologies.

Finally, one more thing.

I hope that you enjoyed the chapter,

please give constructive criticism, just don't be rude,

And do not forget to read and review,

and once again, I do not own Star Fox or Dinosaur Planet. They are created and owned by Nintendo, and Rareware Studios. Please support the Official releases.
