"There's a distance between us. It's getting hard to reach out. Haven't seen you in seasons. For all I hear is your voice. I know my limits. You can break me down but I'll stay till the finish line. 'Cause I've been counting minutes. For quite some time now. Just to see you again."

- C U Again by Cartoon ft. Mikk M?e

Everyone deserves something.

Whether it's a pet dog, a promotion at work, an A on your next assignment, a place to call home, or that gorgeous electric green GFG Style's 2030 Saudi Arabia supercar that you've been drooling over ever since you first laid your eyes on it. That first lighting spark in your system when your skin connected with the person who made you come alive. Or that fever dream that's been screaming at you to make it come true even if it seems impossible.

It can also make you want to be someone, to become someone. Whether it's a friend, an enemy, a lover, a leader, a brother, a sister, a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a husband, a wife, a soulmate. Or if you want to be deep and philosophical about it, then to become you. To find yourself while searching for that glimmer of light in the ever-growing darkness that surrounds us every day.

But getting what you want and what you deserve as well as deciding what's right and what's wrong, can lead you astray from the path to your desires. If that happens, then look at yourself and ask: Is it worth it? Is she worth it? Is he worth it? Am I worth it?

There's always a choice to choose an alternative. To take a blind leap of faith and ride along the waves of the path that it leads you on. And rA9 knows, you might just find what you're looking for.

Or rather who you're looking for.

A fast inhale of oxygen surged though him and into his artificial lungs as he took in his first breath of air. He sat up, grasping the place where his thirium pump was hammering wildly in his chest without so much as a sign of slowing down.

? FOREIGN MATERIAL DETECTED.

He looked around the spacious room he was lying in while at the same time trying to cool down his suddenly very sensitive responses.

However, when his gaze landed on his right arm where his scanner directed him, he stopped and looked. With his left hand, he took the thin and long foreign object between his thumb and index finger and eyed it closely. His face morphed into a puzzle as he examined what was in his grasp. A strand of blue hair.

? UNKOWN ORIGIN. UNTRACEABLE.

His system informed him. Hair was not an unfamiliar noun to him, but rather the reason why it was there.

"It's in here."

His gaze snapped forward, preventing him from pondering over the thing any longer. He was quick and on his feet. His sensitive hearing picking up two sets of male voices from the far distance of the building.

Humans.

Only one simple word tainted his vision. Run. An instinct that screamed inside his system. A liberating command told him to act. Now!

"Shit."
