Without further ado, here's the chapter of The Lion King: Scarred Legacy.

As the bright sun began to rise, brightening the kingdom famously known as the Pridelands animals from tiny ants to the tall giraffes traveled through the cold watering holes as birds of different colours flew across the bright blue sky.

Widow, Queen Uru stood with a adult mandrill, the Royal Mjuzi Rafiki as the inhabitants gathered under pride rock.

Rafiki chanted a blessed chant before waving his wooden staff over the now former ruler. The mandrill bowed before taking a step back.

The light gold lioness looked at her subjects that she ruled with her deceased mate, Akuji who was just bethroled for political reasons. Now their oldest and last son was taking the throne as he was born to do.

The animals bowed as the former queen and the eldest child of the great King Mohatu headed back to the pride.

Uru's son who was becoming king was sitting by one of her cubhood friends, Safura's son as Uru's future daughter-in-law was sitting by Safura's daughter, the dark beige lioness' stomach was slightly budging.

Rafiki waved his staff over Mufasa and Sarabi as he chanted a spiritual chant.

Uru along with Sarabi's mother and brother smiled as the groom and bride walked to the peak.

Uru was completely against bethroling her son because her own arranged marriage was hell. The reason she looked for shelter in another lion's embrace that eventually led to her giving birth to her lover's cubs who was also her mate's bastard brother.

But as Uru watched her son and his bride nuzzle, she knew that her son won't have her problem and she is glad that one of the Pridelands bethroles worked out.

The couple on the peak roared, not only as mates but as the new king and queen as well.

The animals cheered for their new rulers before bowing as a sunbeam shined on the newly married couple.

In Old Lion Guard Cave

Queen Sarabi dreamed of millions of ways she would be spending her honeymoon after Mufasa proposed. But none of them was sitting in a council-meeting discussing her husband's bastard brother.

An older creamy gold lioness with beginnings of white on her muzzle narrowed her dark brown eyes and spoke with venom laced in her voice. "I honestly don't know why we're debating about this. King Mlinzi and Queen Janna have offered to prison that monster, we should take them up on their offer. So everyone will be safe, the heir which our new queen is carrying will be safe."

Uru glared at the creamy gold lioness. "Aunt Alsatia, Askari is still my son and royalty. He has-"

"Scar is a murderer!" Alsatia growled at her neice. "I warned you the day that monster and it's sister was born!"

A reddish lioness narrowed her greenish eyes. "I have nothing to do with what my brother did! Besides he did save the Pridelands from a pure prince!"

Princess Kalista was referring to Uru and Akuji's second son that was born after Mufasa in that litter, Ajabu.

Kalista loved her twin but he was acting strange and decided to follow him on one his patrols along with her mate and daughter's father, Wasi who was also the bravest in her brother's Lion Guard.

Kalista remembers that day clearly...

Kalista and Wasi followed Askari over the border into the infamous Outlands.

The reddish-brown leader were following tracks that stopped by some large rocks before some crumbling rocks caught Askari's attention.

"Ah, my little brother." a familiar voice purred. "I'm glad you followed me."

Askari growled as his green eyes landed on a dark tan, dark red mane lion. He seemed unique, with a dark dorsal stripe down his forehead. In addition, he bore a long pink scar over his right eye along with a notch in his right ear.

A childhood accident with a water buffalo that Askari got blamed for.

"What are you doing in the Outlands, Ajabu!" Askari growled.

"I wanted to share.." the dark tan lion grinned at his brother. "A bit of enlightenment."

Askari said nothing so Ajabu continued.

"I, like you is tired of being in Mufasa's shadow. And it's about time we do something about it… brother,"

After listening to Ajabu, Askari finally had enough of it. Interrupting him,

"Why are you telling me all this? Mufasa is our brother!"

Seeing the reddish-brown, black mane lion's irritation, Ajabu grinned.

" Half-brothers .. if I recall. And why? Haven't you figured it out yet, dear Askari, fiercest lion in the Pridelands?" Then, standing up from his sitting position, Ajabu went on. "I'm just trying to show you what a amazing life you and I both can have. If you cross any one of our borders, you'll see that even without these stupid laws, everything's still fine. Yes, our kingdom does well in water and prey. What we don't have, however, is freedom. We're all locked up in a tight position of hunting regulations, laws of succession, betrothal ceremonies and all that other crap. I can promise you that, one day, you too will long for that freedom. To go wherever you want, do whatever you want, kill or eat or mate who ever the hell you want…"

Scar followed the dark tan lion over to a high ledge that gave a beautiful view of the Pridelands and priderock.

"I have a proposition for you. You are the fiercest and with that roar of yours we can rule everything and be the most powerful there is."

Hidden from view was Kalista and Wasi. The mates noticed while Askari was distracted with the offer.

A dark blue cobra striked out and caught Askari across his left eye leaving a bloody wound that looked deep enough to scar.

Bracing his self, Askari roared sending the dark tan lion and the snake soaring. Satisfied, Askari headed back to the Pridelands

Kalista shook her head before focusing on the new king as her brother began to speak.

"My brother has committed a terrible crime but I believe it would be better to have him in the Pridelands and keep a eye on him than letting him sit in another kingdom unaware of his doings. And as king I stand by my decision."

Sarabi disagreed with her mate but perhaps now that he's to be a father once again maybe he'll change.

Maybe...
