Hello

Backstory on why I wrote this: At the end of Scary Sherry there's that one look that Lassiter and Juliet give each other so I decided to write a little ficlit thing about it. Slight Lassiet if you squint really hard.

Slight AU since Shawn isn't there. Basically it starts right after Lassiter comes in at the end when Alice is trying to kill Juliet.

Enjoy!

Lassiter held the gun steady, pointed at Alice. "O'Hara, you can put down the axe."

She didn't move.

His eyes flicked to her before quickly going back to Alice. She was breathing heavily. He could tell she was still ready to fight, to kill, if necessary.

"O'Hara, put it down," he demanded.

She didn't move. Obviously terrified, she wasn't going to back down easily.

"Juliet." Softly, this time, in the hopes it would get through to her.

The axe lowered slightly but she was still focused on Alice.

She looked at him with desperation, searching for reassurance that he had her back. That it was going to be ok.

He gave her a slight nod and after what seemed like an hour she finally relaxed, slowly backing away and setting the axe carefully on the floor.

Carlton immediately moved into action. "Get up!" He barked to Alice. "Hands above your head." She complied and O'Hara rushed to handcuff her. He pretended to not notice her shaking hands.

They stood leaning against his car, the red and blue flashing lights around them breaking up the darkness. Juliet was staring at the ground breathing shaky breaths, trying to control her breathing, arms tightly wrapped around herself.

"You ok, O'Hara?" He asked. She obviously wasn't.

"Fucking hell." And then suddenly she was sobbing uncontrollably. "I was so scared! I swear I was going to call for backup but she distracted me and I just…" she trailed off. "I thought I was going to actually die."

She leaned into him, burying her face into her shoulder. He awkwardly pulled her into a hug. "I've always got your back, O'Hara," he told her, trying to be reassuring. "Now let's get you home. I'll give you a ride. You're in no state to drive."

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed. Please leave a review. They give me joy in life :)

I know it's short and not super well written but if I don't post it now I probably never will.

Also. Let me know if you want more, either for this story or a different one and maybe I will lol.
