The next day, it was all over the place.

First, both parties had to give a speech.

It went well for Alvin.

"As your class president, I will do my absolute best to do the things you all have been longing for. I will strive to provide for you all and your blunt needs, whether shallow or not shallow. I promise to give you fountains that SPEW out Mountain Dew, good hot lunches, and some of the darn best field trips you've ever been to."He got a round of applause.

But, needless to say, it is pretty certain that Brittany's speech had gone way better than Alvin's.

"With great power, comes great responsibility. something ALVIN couldn't handle if his life depended on it. Look at him trying to fool you all. Bribe you into choosing him so he could be well-liked. Brittany Miller is not about that at all. I promise you a better dress code. Why are short-skirts not allowed? A better education and a better experience. School is all about feeling comfortable, something I'm very good at making people be. So vote me, Brittany Miller, as your newfound class president."

Not only did she get a standing ovation, but the entire crowd was chanting, "Brittany! Brittany! Brittany!" NOW Alvin had competition. He showed his nervousness as the final day came around, election day. He stood near the ballots, his hands sweaty and he was shaking.

He watched as the first person came out of the poll. It was no other than Derek.

He gulped. "So, uh... who'd ya vote for?" he asked, very nervously.

"I'll give you a hint. NOT you", he answered.

The next person came and went.

"Hey, so... who did you vote for?" he asked a girl this time.

"Definitely you", she responded. "I mean, a chocolate fountain? AUGH!"

Now Alvin had a smile on his face.

There was another person who went into the poll and came right back out. This time it was a boy.

"Who did you vote for?" Alvin asked.

"Brittany", the boy replied. "It seems like she cares more about the school."

"Wait, Wha-"

For the next hour, poll results seemed like a back-and-forth affair.

"Alvin."

"Brittany".

"Alvin."

"Brittany".

"Alvin."

"Brittany".

"Alvin."

"Brittany".

It just went on and on and on until the end of the day. Announcements time. A.K.A. time to see who won.

"Greetings students. This is your principal speaking. We want to thank all students for participating in our annual school election. We also want to thank our candidates, Alvin Seville and Brittany Miller. Unfortunately one student did not vote, resulting in a tie. The student must vote to choose the winning nominee. The student that has not yet to vote is Jeanette Miller."

"JEANETTE?!" Alvin and Brittany both yell.

"Yup, that's me."

"Jeanette, I'm your sister! You have to vote for me! That's how it works!"

"Jeannette", said Alvin, "did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?"

"No, you didn't", she replied.

"Hehe, so, uh... wh-who are you gonna vote for?"

"That's up to me", she stated as she walked in the poll.

She takes a second, then walks out of the poll.

"Congratulations!" she exclaimed.

"JEANETTE!" yelled Alvin. "Ol' buddy ol' pal o' friend of mine! I knew you would-"

"Brittany!" she continued.

"Wha-Wha-Wh-What," said a puzzled Alvin.

"Well, I thought she deserved it, after all, she is the Principal's assistant, more trustworthy, and is using this as an opportunity to improve the school."

Brittany blows a raspberry at Alvin. Tears start to garner his eyes.

Don't cry... don't... cry...

It was over. Brittany won. He lost.

You may think this is over, but it is most certainly not.

Next chapter, Alvin must learn to deal with losing and has to cope with Brittany's egotistical behavior. And this is not going to be a "oh alvin deals with and he and brittany are friends again" story. Until next time.
