Big Time Sickness – A Big Time Rush Fanfiction…

A/N – Well, here is a new BTR fanfiction from me. This is a cute friendship/family story. This idea came to me after watching some episodes and all.
There is no slash, just friendship, and family like I said. I hope you all like it; yes, Kendall is main; he is my favorite BTR boy. I love them all, of course, but I love Kendall.
And I kind of love Kendall against a little, so you have been warned. Nothing bad, I promise, just a sick Kendall. Also, this is set somewhere in season two, before the BTR Movie.

Please remember to review, like, and follow. I own nothing from Big Time Rush, sadly.

Summary: A month before their first world tour, Kendall gets sick just from overworking himself. Is this a normal sickness or something worse?
What can Logan, James, and Carlos do to help their sick friend get better? (Friendship/family fluff) (Rated T) (Camille/Logan) (Jo/Kendall)

Chapter 1

The music came to a stop as Kendall Knight, Logan Mitchel, James Maslow, and Carlos Garcia all came to a halt in their dance steps. The four of them made up a band known as Big Time Rush, and they were currently at their studio Roque Records practicing for their upcoming summer tour. The four had been hard at work for two months, and they had one more month left to prepare for things. Their producer Gustavo Roque and his assistant Kelly Wainwright stood in the dance studio watching the music box. Gustavo was the one who had stopped the music.

"All right, dogs, that wasn't horrible. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible. You are improving; slowly, but you are." Gustavo finishes with a slight grin to himself.

All four boys smile and cheer, praising one another instantly. In honesty, the four knew they had been working their butts off the past few months. They had been hoping to hear good things from Gustavo and not be yelled at for a change. It seemed to have worked; sure, he didn't fully tell them they were doing a good job, but it was the closest to a compliment they would ever get from him, and they were willing to take it. From the side, Kelly nodded her head in agreement and smiled at the boys. They had come a long way; things were starting to look suitable for the four. At least, that's what it seemed like.

"Yeah, yeah, you can celebrate at home. I'm dismissing you for the day. You all deserve a little break. Go home, relax and get some rest. We will be working on dancing some more tomorrow. Be here tomorrow at the studio at seven am, ready to sweat your butts off again. Well, have a good rest of your day's boys." Gustavo finishes as he and Kelly wave while leaving the studio.

Taking that as their cue to leave, all four boys gather their items and go for their hotel known as the Palmwoods. They take the short walk route and find themselves inside the apartment about twenty minutes later. All four instantly sit on their bright orange couch and sink into it as soon as they can. They each groan lightly, their body slightly hurting from all the dancing.

"Am I the only one who didn't think dancing would be this exhausting?" Kendall questions as he stretches and yawns a little, his whole body aches, and he feels sleepy. He hadn't said anything to anyone knowing the guys would instantly worry, but he had been feeling slightly off all day. It was finally hitting him now that he was done moving, and he wanted nothing more than to sleep for a whole week in the comforts of his bed.

"No, I didn't know it would be this hard either," Logan comments with a sigh. "But, let's not let that get to us. Let's relax and think about the tour that's coming soon! We have been working hard for it; I think it'll be rewarding to get to perform in front of our fans." Logan finishes with a grin as the excitement appears on his face as he lays back against the couch.

"He's right guys, can you see it now? The crowd screaming for all four of us? The lights, the effects? The music?" James questions as he grins as well; he gets a bottle of water from the fridge;
the excitement was also shown on his face as he opened his water and drank it.

Carlos smiles. "That sounds amazing. I want that, so we have to rest and keep at it. Does anyone want to go to the pool with me?"
Carlos questions while standing up and stretching his aching body too.

Logan smiles and stands. "Sure, I'll come with you; swimming will be nice. James? Kendall?" Logan questions as he looks over at his friends.

But when he did, he smiled softly. Kendall was already asleep on the couch, soft snores coming from him indicating that Logan wasn't going to get a response from the sleeping blonde. James sighs and says as he sits down at the laptop, a bottle of water still in hand and a small snack. James thinks about his decision for a moment, and the other two wait for a response.

"No thanks; I think I'll stay here and relax. Something tells me to keep an eye on Kendall. I'm just going to play my online game and chill out. If I decide too, I'll come down later. If not, we can hang out when you come back." Jame finishes with a smile as he logs onto his laptop.

Carlos and Logan nod; they say their "see ya laters' and grab some towels and pool items they leave. James smiles to himself as he starts playing his game. Getting into the game, he doesn't realize an hour has passed with a breeze. He is only snapped out of his trance of focus when he hears Kendall coughing from the couch. This causes him to pause his game, turn and eye his friend in worry. The blonde coughed more, making James noticed that Kendall was curled up on the couch trying to keep quiet and covering his mouth with his hand.

Getting up, James walked over to the boy. "Kendall, you okay?" The worry was evident in his voice as he got a closer look at his friend. "Dude, let's get you to your bed; you don't look good."

It was true, the blonde suddenly looked paler than he had an hour ago, and James noticed the slight beat of sweat sticking his blonde bangs to his forehead. Kendall also covered his mouth again as he let another poorly sounding cough. The blonde looked over at James, and the twinkle of happiness that usually shone in his eyes was replaced with watery tears threatening to fall and a glassy look that slightly scared James. Placing a hand on his friend's forehead, James frowned, feeling how badly warm Kendall was.

"I'm fine... I'm fine." Kendall moaned slightly after his coughing fit calmed down. "I'm just tired, that's all. I think I do need to go to bed." Kendall finishes as he goes to stand up. But when he goes to stand, his head hurts, and everything spins, making him feel dizzy.

"Kendall!" James exclaims with worry as he rushes over to help his friend regain his balance. The blonde had lost footing and almost tripped. Thankfully James was quick and caught him. James sighs, "Let me help you." He states simply with worry.

Together, they make it to Kendall and Logan's shared room, and James manages to get Kendall into bed after arguing with him the whole trip. James loved Kendall like a brother, but the kid could be stubborn when he was sick. Finally, James was pulling the blankets over the blonde. Thinking, James went to the bathroom and got a thermometer knowing where Logan had placed one in all their bathrooms in case anyone ever got sick. He was coming back into the bedroom when he found Kendall hunched over the bed, throwing up down the side of it and onto the floor.

Gasping, James rushed over to help his sick friend; he hardly ever saw Kendall this sick. One time in Minnesota, all four of them had gotten a bad case of the stomach flu, bed-bound for a week. Otherwise, James thought they were all relatively healthy. Grabbing a trash can, James made sure Kendall finished throwing up while rubbing soothing circles.

Once the boy finished, he looked up at James with tear-filled eyes and whimpered, "Jamie, I don't feel good.." He stated as he groaned and laid back, finally admitting he was sick.

"All right, let me get you cleaned up and into Logan's bed, so you're not sleeping in this puke mess," James replies as he starts to get his sick friend to stand up.

Kendall moans a little as the dizziness hits when James helps him up. The brown-haired boy helped clean the blonde face-off of the puke and get him into clean pj's before settling him down into Logan's bed. James sighs after putting the blankets back over; he also changed the trash bags in the garbage can and brought them next to Logan's bed if Kendall needed it again. Cleaning the sheets was a mess; he had to dump what puke he could into the trash can before he pulled them off and took them in a bundled lot to the laundry basket for Mama Knight to wash when she got home. James had one final task before his other three friends came back, which took the blonde's temperature.

Entering the room, James grabbed the thermometer off the end table by Kendall's bed. Going over to Logan's bed to take the sick boy's temperature, James stopped when he arrived. Sighing, he smiled softly when he saw the blonde boy had fallen asleep, and he was sleeping peacefully. Deciding not to wake Kendall and let him rest, James went out to the living room to give him quiet after shutting the bedroom light off and closing the door. James sat back at this computer, turned it on, and began to play his online game again. He figured they could get Kendall's temperature the next time he was awake and when the other two were back. James was glad he had decided to stay and play his games, something had told him to keep an eye on their sleeping friend, and for once, his gut had been right. Now, all he had to do was tell Logan and Carlos about Kendall as well as Katie and Mama Knight when they got home. James only hoped that Kendall would be okay soon and not that this was a big-time sickness they were dealing with….
