"Jack," Kiani started "I'm not entirely sure coming to Port Royal of all places was the best place to go" she stared at the hanging skeletons as a lump formed in her throat. Trouble was afoot and she didn't like it.

"Where else would you suggest? The boat is sinking and this was the closest land" Jack rolled his eyes at his sister who simply glared in return. "I'm aware it's risky but it's better than drowning"

"I guess hanging would be a swifter death" her brother motioned for her to shut up as they got closer to port. She hopped off the remains of the boat and jogged on ahead, hoping to blend in as much as possible. She managed to stalk past the man in charge unnoticed and let Jack talk his way out of giving a name. After all, it was his fault they were even there.

"Any you like the look of?" Jack asked as they both subtly eyed up the boats "I like that one" he pointed at one right at the bottom of the dock.

"I guess, any will do if it meant getting out of here quickly enough" Jack decided she was right. He loved a flashy boat but staying here longer than needed was risky. "You figure out a plan, I'll get us some food." Kiani snatched the bag of coins Jack stole and stormed off into the market centre. Looking around she heard a distant sound of flutes and drums.

"A captain is getting promoted to Commodore, it's quite the occasion." a local woman interrupted her train of thought. "Sorry, you looked confused about the sounds"

"I was," Kiani smiled at the woman "thank you for letting me know" she gave one more flash of teeth and ran off back to her brother "the navy looks to be preoccupied"

"Eh?" Jack turned to her with a look of confusion "what are you talking about?" Kiani rolled her eyes and spoke in a murmur.

"Someone is getting promoted with a ceremony. They could be away from here for quite some time" they both grinned. If there was any opportunity to commandeer a boat undetected now would be the time.

"Right! You go keep an eye an eye on the ceremony and I'll look for a boat" before Kiani could protest he was already gone.

She found a solitary part of the wall and could easily see everything that was going on. Women in elaborate dresses, men in powdered wigs, this truly was the height of society. Kiani thought to herself as she looked on "what a spectacle" she muttered. She jumped down and wondered back to the market, as she decided there wasn't much to look at. She found Jack about half an hour later trying to talk his way into getting a boat. She inwardly cringed. Kiani may be a lot younger than him but sometimes she felt like he was they younger one. Before she had chance to step in a splash was heard in the background followed by a yell. Jack jumped into the water and Kiani groaned in response, get the boat don't save the girl! She saw a ripple in the water and paled. The Black Pearl was on its way. But how? She didn't have time to ponder this before the navy started advancing and Jack got onto the dock. She jumped into the water and stayed hidden as close to the dock as she could. Her heart started thumping in fear when swords were pulled out.

"Commodore, do you really intend to kill my rescuer?" The girl Jack had just saved stepped in. Kiani tried to look up without being seen and saw the man hesitate. All swords were lowered and Kiani breathed out a sigh of relief.

"I believe thanks are in order" the Commodore stated whilst holding out his hand. Jack took it "hm" he continued. She figured this wasn't a good hum "had a brush with East India Trading Company did we? Pirate?"

"Hang him!" She heard someone instruct.

"Get some irons! Jack Sparrow is it?" The Commodore continued "And where would your sister be? I heard you two are as thick as thieves...as it would seem"

Kiani's head was reeling and was unable to make out anything other than a few "captains" and "boats" here and there. She needed to get out of there but had no where to go but up on land, which she didn't like the thought of.

"...but you have heard of me" she caught the end of the conversation as she accidentally caught her arm on a nail.

"Fuck!" She whispered, this seemed to be loud enough for the navy above her to hear. She looked up and saw the men looking down at her "I fell too?" The man in blue hoistered her up.

"And here's the sister!" He subtly pushed her towards the guards "hang them both"

"Commodore! I really must protest! Pirates or not this man saved my life" the soaking woman stepped out in front of Jack. Kiani was still being held onto by one of the guards next to the Commodore. Her ears were ringing she had no idea how Jack was going to get them out of this, or even how SHE would get them out of this. She looked up to see her brother holding the woman hostage.

"No! Don't shoot!" Kiani screamed out in hope.

"And who are you to give orders?" Commodore snapped.

"Norrington, my effects please. And my hat." Norrington? Why did that name sound familiar to her? Kiani looked on in annoyance as Jack got the woman (she heard her be called Elizabeth) to put his gear on him. He was clearly enjoying it. He pushed Elizabeth towards the guards and tried to grab Kiani. This seemed to be in vain as as she was yanked back by Commodore Norrington. She looked on in horror as Jack barely got away leaving her behind. The guards ran off shooting at him dragging her along.

"Gillette, the Sparrows have a dawn appointment with the Gallows." Kiani's heart sank as she got pulled to the cells below the fort.

"You can't be serious, I get my brother has been a problem but what on earth have I done?" Norrington glared at her as she was pushed into a spare cell.

"You have a whole list of crimes you have committed. Would you like me to read them out?" Kiani said nothing "I thought so. Do get comfortable, this is your last night living" he smiled sarcastically at her before walking away.

"Why does the name Norrington sound familiar to me? I swear I've met you before" he stopped and spun around "like, it's annoyingly similar"

"I've used the Interceptor to arrest many a pirate" He hoped this is what she meant. Her nod confirmed this.

"Ah, that's the one." She sat on a small bench and crossed her legs "how does it feel to finally have the Sparrows so soon after your promotion" she motioned her head towards his medal
"There's no point in stalling me Miss Sparrow, all guards on port are after your brother. They will have him in no time" she huffed and laid down.

"I'm sure you've said that plenty of times before" she turned towards the wall ending the brief conversation. She hoped he had manage to get away with no issue. He was always the better pirate so as long as he escapes getting the Black Pearl back was still an option.
