Hi. This story will take place in the universe of thirteen scooby doo ghosts, but also in other universes. I got a little bit inspired by Marvel's Multiverse, so characters from other stories will appear. The story will have a bit of suspense and horror in it.Thanks to everyone who readed. I will update the fanfic weekly, but it might take a while because I write on my cell phone. If you find spelling or grammar errors, please let me know, please.Hugs.

After capturing all the ghosts in the chest and after all the adventures and dangers he had lived with the children, Vincent felt it was time to take the portrait of his ancestor off the office wall. His ancestor had followed the path of evil and a painting portraying him stayed there for a long time, as a reminder to Vincent not to follow the path his ancestor had followed. But he felt that in the present he had a much better reminder. In a magician's pass, the portrait was replaced by a painting of him with the children. He considered Daphne, Shaggy, Flim-Flam, Scrappy and Scooby doo as his children and thought it was time to have a painting that portrayed that.

In the new painting he was at the center and the children around him. Vincent watched carefully, trying to see if the painting had captured everyone's real image. He smiled discreetly as he looked at Shaggy and Scooby holding two large sandwiches. It was a very realistic painting. But he thought he could improve even more. He spent practically the rest of the night making the adjustments. He wanted the kids to be taken by surprise by looking at the painting and seeing themselves in it.

He was still distracted with the painting when a loud noise from upstairs caught his attention. It sounded like the sound of something breaking. He thought the noise might come from the room where he kept the spare crystal balls or the crystal balls that were in trouble.

"Flim-Flam it's good you haven't moved with crystal balls again."- he said as went up the stairs.

He had told Flim-Flam on other occasions not to tamper with the crystal balls unsupervised or try to fix the ones that were malfunctioning. His voice sounded angry, but he wasn't really angry at the boy, he just didn't want him to end up teleporting to somewhere without meaning to or that he stopped in some parallel universe.

When he got upstairs, he noticed that the noise had woken Daphne, Shaggy, Scrappy, and Scooby. They were in the hallway, still sleepy, trying to figure out what had happened. He noticed that Flim-Flam was not among them. This seemed to indicate that he might actually have been in the room where the crystal balls were and had really been up to something.

He quickly went to the room where the crystal balls were and noticed that it looked like someone had actually been there, but no sign of Flim-Flam. One of the crystal balls was broken and appeared to have been used recently.

"Where's the Flim-Flam?" - Asked Shaggy asking the question that was on everyone's mind.

They searched the room and the rest of the floor and there was no sign of the boy. Vincent wondered if something had breached the magic shield and taken Flim-Flam away, or if the boy had actually teleported to another place by accident. If that had been the case, it remained to be seen where he would have gone.

Many questions. But this was not the time for questions, it was the time for answers. Vincent took the crystal ball and tried to locate the boy, but in a strange way the object couldn't tell where Flim-Flam was, because it was like it had some kind of interference. In the crystal ball only statics appeared, as in a television where the antenna signal is not well tuned. He tried all and the same result. That was really weird.

He tried to control his nervousness so that the others wouldn't get nervous too, but he soon noticed that as the minutes passed, the gravity of the situation became clear to everyone.

"We should go to the police and to speak about his disappearance, if we can't find him with the crystal ball, maybe the police will help."- Daphne said showing concern in her voice.

"What would we say?" - asked Shaggy.

"The truth, or a part of it. Flim-Flam is gone and we have no idea where he is. I hope he's okay."

Vincent heard their voices as if they were coming from far away. He tried to absorb the whole abrupt situation. One minute he was calm taking care of the last details of the painting and the next he was nervous about the disappearance of Flim-Flam.

He tried again, and the even louder static seemed to confirm one of his suspicions. A suspicion that he hoped would not come true, but everything indicated that the boy ended up in a parallel universe.

"The Flim-Flam is in a parallel universe."-he ended up speaking after many attempts to locate him. - "The faster I go to get him the better."

"Parallel universe?"

"Yes, hence the static. There is no way to see where he is, but there is a way to go to where he is." - Vincent knew it would be like diving into the dark, as he had no way of knowing where they were going. But he knew Flim-Flam was there and he had to go after the boy. - "I'll go after him."

"Let's all go." - Daphne said, touching his arm.

He tried to argue that it would be dangerous, but in the end he found he had no way of convincing them otherwise.
