Hello everyone! This is a new story I was thinking about writing and I had to get it out of head lol I'd love it if you guys let me know what you think of it! And sorry in advance for making Beca so hate-able

As the birds chirped outside, the morning sun started getting through the windows of the auditorium where the Barden Bellas rehearsed. It was barely 8 in the morning when the sleepy girls started piling in, almost all of them were yawning or mid yawn.

The girls put their large bags in the empty chairs and greeted their leaders, both of whom were standing in the middle of the room looking rather happy.

"Morning girls, let's begin with our traditional cardio!" the blonde leader, Aubrey, spoke to everyone, making them all groan.

"Come on girls, this is the second to last day of rehearsal before we all get to go on our camping trip!" the redhead leader, Chloe, spoke more cheerfully than her blonde friend, which got a reaction from the girls.

"Yes, our a cappella camping trip is right around the corner, we have to be in shape!" Aubrey said.

The girls started running laps up and down the stairs, groaning.

"We heard it!" a short brunette with pale skin spoke from the back of the line as she rubbed her face, trying to wake up.

"Thanks for that, Beca, you can go run too," Aubrey said with a tight smile.

Beca rolled her eyes and shook her head as she followed her fellow sisters. It wasn't long before she stopped and stared at her captains.

"How come you two don't have to run?" she asked, getting the attention of the other girls, but no one stopped.

"We already did," Aubrey said simply.

"Without us? That's not fair, if we're running, we should all run together," Beca said.

"Great thinking, Beca, we should all be a team," Chloe said, walking towards the girls and joining in on their run.

"Chloe, what are you doing? You already ran!" Aubrey said.

"I don't mind running again!" Chloe said simply.

Beca shot Aubrey a smirk and opened her arms as she was saying 'told you'.

"You don't have to listen to her, Chloe!" Aubrey said.

"At least she's a team worker," Beca said before going back to running.

Aubrey simply rolled her eyes and groaned.

After running, the girls ran their routines for their camping trip. Aubrey and Chloe were trying to make sure everyone understood the choreography, lyrics and tempo.

"Where is this trip anyway?" a black, short haired woman raised her hand after they finished rehearsing for the 3rd time.

"A couple hours away, on this campground," Aubrey said.

"We're gonna have competitions, performances, campfires, the whole nine!" Chloe said excitedly, getting applause and cheers from her fellow Bellas.

"Will there be drinks?" a tall, skinny, big boobed girl asked.

"Yes, of course!" Chloe said.

"How long will we be there, again?" Beca asked.

"We already told you, 10 days," Aubrey said, clearly annoyed.

"Calm down, why do you have to answer me like that but to the other girls you're nice and kind?" Beca asked.

"Because they're also nice and kind," Aubrey offered her a tight smile again.

"Hey, I just asked a question the same way!" Beca said.

"Alright, alright," Chloe cut the argument before it began. "Anyone else has a question?"

When everyone was quiet, the redhead smiled.

"Alright, you're all free to go," she said and the girls started leaving.

Beca waited until everyone left so she could approach her blonde captain.

"About the 10 days, is there a possibility that I leave early?" Beca asked.

"Beca, as I already told you, this is a mandatory vacation and you cannot leave early," Aubrey said.

"I'm not complaining about going, I just wanna know if I can leave three days early? I was looking forward to spending time with my mom," she said.

"I'm sorry, I'll repeat it one more time: you cannot leave early, everybody leaves on Sunday," Aubrey said.

Beca sighed and groaned.

"Fine," she said.

"If this displeases you, you can always leave," Aubrey said. "The Bellas, I mean."

"Wouldn't you like that," Beca mumbled, walking towards her bag.

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing," Beca shook her head, putting her bag over her shoulders.

"I heard you and you better stop giving me these comebacks," Aubrey said.

Beca said nothing and left.

Aubrey sighed and felt a hand on her shoulder.

"You okay?" Chloe asked her best friend.

"This girl gets on my nerves!" Aubrey said. "She's so rude!"

"It's okay," Chloe said. "We're going on spring break in two days and it'll be aca-awesome!"

Aubrey perked up at that and looked at her redhead friend.

"You're right about that," she said.

oO0Oo

Living with so many girls was hard, but the Bellas were used to it, everybody had chores to do, every week they'd take a day to clean the house thoroughly and, since they'd be leaving early Friday morning, they decided to go their cleaning on Wednesday night, so everything could be clean for when they came back. Everyone was doing their part, except for Beca, who was sitting on her bed, on her computer.

Chloe and Aubrey were cleaning up the bathroom on the first floor. Aubrey was scrubbing the sink while Chloe cleaned the toilet. The girls put loud music on their sound system so everyone could enjoy and sing along, so it was pleasant.

"Hey!" Cynthia Rose called, panting after vacuuming the living room.

The two captains looked up at her.

"How come everyone has to help but Princess Beca gets to just relax and stay on her computer?" she asked, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

"What?" Aubrey frowned.

"Yeah, she's upstairs in her room, Amy said she ain't helping," Cynthia Rose said.

"Ugh, that girl," Aubrey said.

"I'll go talk to her, Aubs," Chloe volunteered in order to save some of her friend's sanity. She removed her gloves, placing them on the floor next to the toilet before walking to the room in the attic. Beca was on her computer while Fat Amy cleaned under her own bed.

"Hey cap," Fat Amy said. "It's nasty under here."

"Beca, you know it's important that everyone helps," Chloe said.

"I know, but everyone's doing something, why should I?" Beca said.

"Because you live here too, you gotta help," Chloe said. "So please, you know your task this week is to clean the windows."

"Dude, they'll be dirty by the time we come back!" Beca said. "So why bother?"

"Beca, please, I'm losing my patience, just get to it," Chloe said.

"Better do it, shortstack, you don't want red to go all red on you," Fat Amy said.

"You're not the boss of me," Beca said to Chloe.

"Beca, stop acting like a freaking child and go clean our goddamn windows!" Chloe said.

Beca crossed her arms and said nothing, just stared at Chloe.

"Ugh, you are such a horrible person, no wonder everyone says you've no heart!" Chloe said. "You have no consideration for other people whatsoever! If you wanna live in a pigsty like the pig that you are, that's your business but here you have to think of us too! So go clean the windows, you heartless bitch!"

Chloe all but yelled at her. She was so tired of seeing her best friend all stressed because of Beca, always having to hold herself, and her vomit, back.

Beca groaned and got up, walking past Chloe. As she got up, the shirt she was wearing rode up to her bra line on the left side of her back, so part of her back was exposed. Chloe looked back to see she had a huge deep scar across her back, it was a straight scar almost like a very deep cut or a burn mark. There were other small scars too, much more than Chloe could see, and it got her attention.

"What happened to your back?" she caught herself asking.

"None of your goddamn business!" Beca answered, pulling her shirt back down and going down the stairs.

Chloe just sighed and looked at Fat Amy, who just shrugged at her.

"Have you ever seen those scars before?" Chloe asked, knowing the two girls were roommates.

"A few times," Fat Amy nodded.

"And you asked her about it?"

"Yes, but Her Royal Highness said the same thing to me," Fat Amy said.

Chloe wasn't surprised, she just left while Fat Amy went back to cleaning her part of the room.

As Chloe and Aubrey moved to organize the living room and make sure no things were scattered around, the blonde actually stopped the music, which made the others around stop and look at her.

"Why don't we listen to some news? Nice to keep up with the world," Aubrey said, turning on the TV.

The news played while everyone worked. Beca was cleaning the windows in the living room, so she was next to the TV. Chloe was looking under the couch, collecting a few socks, coins and even lost keys.

"Hey Stacie, I found your keys!" Chloe said.

Stacie came down from her room and grabbed her keys with a smile.

"Thanks Chlo!" she said.

Chloe smiled and the tall girl turned around to get back to her cleaning.

"... almost 13 years later, the Brianna Johnson case finally got its closure. David Johnson, Brianna's father, convicted for child abuse, torture and false imprisonment, has spent almost 10 years in the death row but earlier today, the execution date has been set for this week." the male reporter announced, turning every girl's attention to the television.

"Damn, 13 years already?" Cynthia Rose said.

"Brianna Johnson was only 8 years old when she was rescued from her home after a lifetime of abuse. According to the police, Brianna had never been outside of their suburban home, barely fed, kept inside a small room and suffered torture almost daily torture by her father." the female reporter told the story while pictures of the home and the two parents showed.

"Can we just.. Turn this off?" Beca said. "I don't care about this."

"Sorry, everyone's interested," Aubrey said. "Just tune it out and wash the windows."

Beca rolled her eyes and tried to go back to her task at hand.

"How can someone be so horrible? I mean, keeping your own kid inside, torturing them? Just give them up for adoption!" Chloe said.

"No, Brianna wasn't their kid, she was kidnapped, didn't you hear?" Ashley said.

"No, she was born in that house and never taken outside," Aubrey said. "That's why the false imprisonment."

"Aaah!" Ashley nodded, finally understanding.

"Brianna was hospitalized and treated before being sent to a foster home," the female reporter said again.

"Why didn't they show pictures of her now?" Stacie asked. "Maybe interview her."

"Bring all that pain back? Nobody would want that," Ashley said.

"Still, no pictures of her?" Stacie asked. "Not even as a kid? Is that a way of protecting the victim or something?"

"She probably never had a picture taken," Beca said, making everyone turn to her in surprise. No one expected Beca to chip in. "You think those bastards would take pictures of the daughter they used as a punching bag?"

"That's a good point," Stacie said. "I'd still like it if they did an interview with her, we never heard from her."

"No one would like to relive that pain," Chloe said.

"She was probably adopted by other people," Flo said.

"Okay, the news segment is over, can we get to our chores?" Beca said. "I wanna finish this."

Everybody went quiet but they all went back to what they were doing and, before dinner, everyone was done cleaning.
