The sun was now asleep and was replaced with the moon for the night. Or at least it would be if it wasn't hidden behind some clouds, creating a chaotic storm in its wake.

Our heroines are seen in front of the entrance to an old building that has long since been empty… or at least that's what it seems to them. The door they were standing in front of was large. It made them wonder who would need a door that big.

"Are you sure it's safe to stay here, Billie…" Franny asked nervously

"Do you have a better place for us to hide?" Billie responded

"...Not really." Franny mumbled "But an old worn out mansion? What if it's haunted?"

"It probably is!" A voice cheerfully blurted out

"Don't go scaring me like that, Billie!" Franny shrieked in response to the voice

"... I didn't say anything." Billie said

"If that wasn't you, then who said that…?"

"It was me!" The voice cheered as a little kid popped out of the bush on the left side of the door

"And me!" Another kid cheered, popping out of the bush to the right of the door

Franny squeaked in shock seeing the two bodies pop out of the bushes.

"Relax, it's just two kids." Billie said, to calm Franny down

The two kids appeared to be brothers. Identical twins to be exact. It was a bit odd to our heroines to see two young boys here late at night, especially hiding in bushes, guarding an abandoned mansion. Both twins gave them welcoming smiles.

"The hell are two kids like you doing up this late at night?" Billie asked them

"I'm Spike!" The twin on the left shouted

"And I'm Dimitri!" The other one shouted after

"We are the guardians of this mansion!"

"Why would you guard a mansion that's been abandoned-" Billie asked confusedly

"Let them have their fun. They're just boys." Franny replied, now with a smile on her face

"Hey, while you're here, why don't you ring my doorbell." Spike said, pointing to a doorbell, located above him.

"No way! Ring my doorbell. It's much better." Dimitri responded competitively, pointing to another doorbell above him.

"Why would a mansion require two doorbells?" Billie ased, even more confused than before

"Well I don't know which one to pick." Franny said, looking at the two doorbells

The twin boys started arguing on which of their doorbells are better, which then Franny got a great idea.

"There's two of us. Why doesn't one ring the doorbell on the left, and the other, ring the doorbell on the right?" Franny told her idea to Billie

"Whatever. I just want to get out of the rain." Billie said, agreeing to her plan

Both of them took a side of the door and began a count of three while the twins were still arguing. After they got to one, both of them rang a doorbell in unison. A loud ring came booming across the mansion, but no one answered, and the knowledge that both of the doorbells rang at the same time confused the twins, but eventually they accepted it.

"You can now enter." Spike nodded his head at them

In less than a second, everyone was gone. Franny was alone with only the rain pouring on her. The only… thing… that accompanied her was a tall slender monster in front of the door. It was familiar to Franny due to the fact that it visited Franny very often… but that wasn't the only reason…

"Wh… Why…? Why do you keep following me…?" Franny whimpered up at the beast

The monster didn't answer, but just stared her down with a murderous look in its eyes.

"Just leave me alone already!" Franny screamed at it

The beast did not budge at all.

"Please… go away… Why are you even doing this to me…? Why are you not responding…? Please just go away… I can't be tormented like this anymore…"

The creature disappeared and in its place was Billie, shaking her to wake up.

"Gorgeous! Wake up!" Billie quavered

"Wha… What?" Franny said, snapping out of her trance

"Franny, what's going on? You were frozen… I couldn't get you to respond…" Billie said worriedly. She had stopped shaking her, but she was still holding onto her shoulders.

"I saw it again…"

Billie was in shock. Franny had already told her of her hallucinations of the beast before, so she had a good idea of what Franny went through.

"Are you hurt?"

"No… I'm okay… It's gone…" Franny said in breaths "For now…"

Franny noticed that Spike and Dimitri were gone as well.

"What happened to the kids?"

Billie stood there a bit confused.

"I don't know. They said their time was done for tonight and went back in the bushes. When I looked inside the bushes to look for them, they were nowhere to be seen."

"Strange…"

"Indeed."

"Let's just leave…" Franny suggested "This place is giving me shivers down my spine..."

Just as she said that, thunder roared through the sky, making Franny squeak.

"You know what, nevermind. Let's rest here for the night."
