Hello readers, I just want to say that I hope that you guys and gals have fun while reading this little story of mine, being a first timer both in writing as well as publishing online, it's very unique of an experience. With that all said, nobody is perfect and neither Am I, so, if you guys and gals see any error or have any suggestions (as long as they are not out of proportions) then I'm all open to listen.

Now before we begin, I have to warn you that English isn't my first language, surprisingly, but, despite that, I made sure that I did my best with this one, and hopefully, do better in the future.

Now, without further adieu, on with the story

Our beautiful existence

-Prologue-

It was a quiet night in the valley; the stars were shining bright as they painted the night sky with their beauty, creating images and symbols as far as the imagination could conjure. In contrast, the night circle radiated brilliantly upon the sleeping dinosaurs of this peaceful evergreen paradise.

As the night goes on, and as the silence rules the land, in a pond not too far off one of the vast forests that dots this magnificent place, we find a swimmer, sleeping peacefully, her body submerged in the peaceful, clear waters and her head laying on a soft patch of grass. Ducky, along with her friends, has finally reached their great growing; what was once a group of small, albeit hyperactive children running around the valley and beyond it, searching for adventures and still learning of the world they call home has finally grown into their maturity, gone were the small children of the past replaced with their now formidable size, apart from Petrie of course, who has yet to still grow up from his shyness and fearfulness, but, the flyer did learn to speak normally now, discarding his now somewhat iconic speech pattern, if only the younger flyers would know not to imitate Petrie's hectic childhood. As they grew up, the gang's childhood, and subsequent adventures, have become quite a legend throughout the valley. As the gang became adults, the young ones developed tremendous respect and admiration for what they dubbed the heroes of the valley. Cera was the most pleased with the new affection from the younger dinosaurs. She also somewhat became the unofficial story-speaker along with Littlefoot, what with Grandpa Longneck still kicking and going and is still the official story-speaker of the valley. However, he stepped down as a council member and placed his treasured grandchild as his replacement.

For Ducky, she became one of the best healers of the valley, learning not only the craft of healing from her mother but from the number of adventures she and her friends had gotten themselves into; it was one of the shocking twists that the gang faced growing up, what was once only a discarded idea deep in their mind became something of a purpose as they grew up, and as Ducky began her training in healing, so did her other friends on their respective career.

Littlefoot started learning the ins and outs of leading a herd both from his grandparents and his father, Bron, and became a great leader who always thinks of the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the valley.

Cera became not only the unofficial story-speaker but also one of the strongest threehorns in the valley, considerably beating her father, Tops, in the strength department. Yet, despite her strength, Cera was also one of the most respected adults and council members, attributing to her mellowing out from her brash nature to her father's great pleasure of seeing her daughter become a better threehorn than he was.

Petrie became a teacher, which was quite a shock to his friends when they learned of it; for a shy and fearful character such as their flyer friend, he does know how to get the younglings' attention and subsequently become a good teacher in return, he also became the herd leader of the flyers, when his mother stepped down and gave the nervous flyer her position.

Spike went and joined Tippy's herd and is happy out there; he has also learned how to talk and has become even huge than he was way back then. Ducky, for that reason, was both saddened and glad that her adopted little brother has finally found a purpose in his life. However, it doesn't need to be said that Ducky still fears for her brother's safety; the mysterious beyond is many things but safe, what with it filled with unfound mysteries and sharptooths that would gladly sink their wickedly sharp-teeth on anyone unlucky enough to meet them, the only thing that eases the swimmer's concerns was the fact that Spike was traveling with a huge heard, consisting primarily of his kind, the formidable spiketails.

And, speaking of sharptooth, the valley's only sharptooth resident has grown into a fearsome beast of his kind, yet, despite Chomper's appearance as one of the cold-blooded killers that the valley residents feared the most, the sharptooth has retained his warm and loving heart. Despite now officially living at the outskirts of the valley, his friends almost initiating a heated fight to the then council members when he was relegated to his current home, the sharptooth instead held no malice, nor hatred against the council and even accepted their reason as to why he was placed on his new home, mainly because, despite his friendly nature, he was at his core, a sharptooth. Though, Chomper would not live in his new place alone, as Ruby had decided to stick with the sharptooth and built her nest nearby. The fast-runner has become the most respected elder in the valley. With her wits and abundance of knowledge, it wasn't really much of a shock that she became a part of the council along with Littlefoot and Cera.

Although, in this particular night, Chomper was nowhere to be seen in his nest, having left it at the middle of the night, quietly walking away towards the inner part of the valley, with his caretaker and best friend none the wiser of the Sharptooth's destination.

As they grew old, so made the gang's minds, and as time passed, their concept of relationships also increased. They started developing feelings that their younger self would not have comprehended, feelings towards other dinosaurs. This evolution of emotions made Spike go along with Tippy's herd because Spike did develop feelings for Tippy and has chosen to join her to share these new sensations. The others also started developing relationships with others that they fancied. Petrie became enamoured with a beautiful pink flyer named Gabby, who was the exact opposite of him as she was more fearless than Petrie, two of the attributes that have attracted the young flyer to her. Cera starts seeing a blue threehorn named Xercues, a no-nonsense and wise individual who rivals not only Cera's strength but also Littlefoot's wits. Speaking of Littlefoot, with his current position as herd leader, the longneck has chosen to foregone any relationship for the time being and focused his attention on becoming the best leader for the valley. Still, it was an unsaid fact that despite the young longneck's subtlety in the matter, others have noticed his stolen glances and loving smiles towards a particular pink fast-runner every time that they work together, which didn't escape the keen eyes of his friends, plus it was cute in all sense, so nobody ever tried telling him otherwise, though, that hasn't stopped the other, more close-minded residents of the valley to start talking behind their backs, to the ire of the rest of the gang.

But, with all of that said, this peculiar relationship, albeit unrequited by the two, doesn't hold a candle to what became one of the biggest and the most unique pairings the valley or dinosaur kind even has ever seen.

For you see, they may be so drastically different from each other, so worlds apart from that it came to a shock, not only to their friends but themselves as well, when they started developing these feelings. For Ducky, the swimmer has somehow ended up developing feelings, feelings that were returned by the valley's resident sharptooth, Chomper.
