This is my first-ish fanfiction, so if I mess up something, tell me.

Also, sorry if I don't post often, most of the time when I start writing I hit a writer's block. I'll still be able to post chapters, though.

(There's also school…)

Blueberry was sitting in a tree. The rainforest was so peaceful, especially when the rest of the Rainwings were asleep. Well, at least one was up every now-and-then.

"Hey, Blueberry, aren't you supposed to be at suntime?" A green Rainwing asked out of the blue.

"Aren't you also supposed to, Parrot?" Blueberry asked back. Blueberry's brother was often awake when he was, but it didn't bother him.

"Well, I got restless. What are you doing?"

"I'm just watching birds. Probably nothing you'd like." Parrot was the more active one. He liked to go on adventures, sneak around, look for odd berries and creatures while Blueberry liked to enjoy the simpler things in life.

"Oh. Well, I'll leave you to it. Unless you want to go on an adventure?" Parrot asked.

"I'll do it. Just make sure not to wander out of the rainforest."

"Ok, then let's go!" Parrot said excitedly.

Blueberry followed Parrot through the rainforest to one of his favorite spots. It was a clearing surrounded by small bushes and trees. There were some berry bushes not far from here that Parrot liked to check for new, odd berries.

"So, where are we going?" Parrot asked.

"I thought you would know. This was your plan, after all." Blueberry asked.

"Why don't we-" Parrot asked, then seemed to remember something.

"Nevermind. I have training with Peach after suntime, and it's almost over. Gotta go!" Parrot said before flying away in a hurry.

Blueberry was alone in the clearing. He decided to sit down and look around. Sometimes you just need the simpler things…

Blueberry got up. He thought he heard something coming closer.

"It's the queen's orders. Why are you so scared?"

"Well, maybe because there could be a ton of invisible Rainwings following us!"

"Come on, they aren't that scary."

Blueberry quickly hid in a tree. He loved sneaking in on conversations, but this one seemed different.

Two red Skywings walked into the clearing.

"It looks like someone was just here…" The first Skywing said.

"Then we should get out of here!" The second one said, seeming eager to go.

"Fine, but if the queen gets mad at us, you're taking the punishment!"

The two Skywings set off, and Blueberry decided to follow them.

But I guess that sometimes, excitement can be good!
