They had reached the Bedouin trading post when the sun had risen. Some of the women offered robes for Evy and Amelia, Evy accepted the robes, but Amelia got the smallest size of men's trousers and shirt she could find before changing. After Amelia had changed, she walked out of the tent and saw her brother and Jonathan. Amelia walks over to join her brother and Jonathan, who is arguing with the man selling camels, but she felt something tug at her pant leg. She looked down and saw a capuchin monkey.

"Hello, little one," Amelia bent down, and the monkey climbed atop her shoulders, "I don't see a collar anything that says you belong to anyone. I think I'll call you Babi after the Egyptian God, even though you are a girl."

Amelia continues walking toward her Brother and Jonathan.

"I only want four! Four! I only want four, not a whole bloody herd!" Jonathan yelled at the man before turning to Rick and Amelia, "O'Connells! Ohh! Can you believe the cheek?"

"Just pay the man, Jonathan!" Amelia told him.

Jonathan sighed before he thrust the money into the man's hand. Rick and Jonathan took two camels each while Amelia took one.

"Oh, for heaven's sake. Can't believe the price of these fleabags. Yes, happy. Veeeeery good," Jonathan grumbled.

"You probably could've got 'em for free. All you had to do was give him your sister," Rick commented jokingly," Where'd you get a monkey, Amelia?"

"I found her," She replied.

Yes. Awfully tempting wasn't it,' Jonathan replied to Rick.

"Yeah…. Awful," Rick muttered as he stared at Evy walking toward them.

After getting the Warden, the five of them hopped on their camels and continued their journey to Hamunaptra.

"Never did like camels," Jonathan complied along the way, "Filthy buggers. They smell, they bite, they spit," The Warden then spits onto the sand, "Disgusting."

"I think they're adorable," Evy said with a smile as she pets her camel's head. The Warden starts to sing as they journeyed into the night.

They ventured deeper and deeper into the desert with each passing hour. During the day, the desert felt as if it were on fire, but the moon brings a cool night. As the moon shines down on them as they trek across the sand.

Jonathan is sound asleep, his head bobbing to the rhythm of his camel. On the camel next to him, the Warden snores loudly. In the front, Evelyn slowly starts to slide off her saddle. Rick reaches over and stops her, then gently pushes her back up onto her saddle, while not waking her. For a long moment, his eyes watch Evelyn. Amelia smirks at her brother before something in the far distance catches her eye. Amelia gently hits her brother on his arm gaining his attention before pointing to the distant ridge. They saw what appeared to be the silhouettes of riders.

"Let's make sure not to let our guard down, Rick," Amelia told her brother.

"Got it," He responded.

A few hours later, in the early hours of the morning, the five had reached their destination. And so did Beni, the other Americans, and their diggers.

"Good morning, my friends," Beni greeted Rick and Amelia, who nodded in response.

The two parties come to a stop a hundred feet apart. The two O'Connells turn and stare out across the endless horizon, and Beni does the same. But the other Americans look puzzled.

"Well, what the hell we doin'?" Daniels asked.

"Patience, my good sahib, patience," Beni told him.

"Remember our bet, O'Connells. First one to the city, five hundred! Cash bucks!" Henderson told them before turning to Beni, "A hundred of them bucks is yours if you help us that bet."

"Oh, my pleasure," Beni responded," Hey, O'Connells. Nice camel."

The O'Connells and Beni just stare out at the flat nothingness. Evelyn and Jonathan share a look. And then, the sun begins to rise in the distance, breaking the flat horizon.

"Get ready," Rick said.

"For what?" Evy asked.

"We're about to be shown the way," Amelia answered.

As the sun rose, the ruins of the ancient city appeared in the distance before them.

"Will you look at that," Henderson said.

"Can you believe it," Daniels asked.

"Hamuaptra," Burns pointed out.

"Here we go again," Rick said.

A moment later, The O'Connells and Beni began their race and were followed by the rest of their parties. Beni was in the lead, but Rick and Amelia quickly caught up to him as they rode on either side next to him. Beni hits Rick with the whip before he grabs it and throws it away.

"I've been wanting to do this again!" Amelia said to Beni before knocking him off the camel and he tumbled onto the sand.

Evy managed to catch up to them before taking the lead and going ahead of them.

"Go, Evy! Go!" Jonathan cheered as his sister reached Hamuaptra first.
