No one's POV

The early morning swooped the cold wind and frozen air, vanishing the foggy air and dense atmosphere. The valley was a war zone, but now it's as dead as the frosty night. Candu, Claws, and Hugo all walked up to a high point looking down the valley. It was a bloodbath, and many wolves layed frozen and dead in the feild. Many were with the United pack, and every wolf from the Horde has either died or disappeared. Some wolves even mourned down to their loved ones, and cried on their cold coats.

Some were even buried underneath the monstrous avalanche. It was dead silent, the only sound hear was the whistling of the light wind in the air. It was a deserted, depressed valley.

"We did it..." Candu spoke soflty, he was glad to be alive but felt emptiness without the rest of his mates.

"What did it cost? Claws replied back.

"W-we, we won..." Candu huffed our shedding a small tear of pain and loss.

"They May be gone, but their spirit lives inside us, and within the United pack. God bless them for their bravery, and for our freedom." Candu mourned, shedding a tear.

"Any sign of Garth or Humphrey?" Claws asked Hugo.

Hutch and Garth were both inside the cave last evening, but the boulders and rocks collided and blocked their entrance. Hugo looked down in grief, he was the one told to leave them behind.

"Garth and Hutch were in there. He told me to leave, and I did.." Hugo said.

"It was good you did, don't blame yourself kid."

"I felt like I couldn't stopped those wolves. I feel like a coward." Hugo said.

"You are far beyond a coward. Not a single wolf your age would choose to fall in line and risk his innocent soul to death." Claws smiled down to him.

"Now we need to find Garth and Humphrey, I'm sure their still alive somewhere out there."

"Don't worry, we'll find them and any other missing wolves." Candu said as they headed down to the large cave and tried looking for an opening inside.

Humphrey's POV

My eyes flustered, and ached until I held my blurry vision back to normal. The sun was setting directly above me, warm air rushes down my body and opened flesh. I ached as I tried to breathe the finest air, but my lungs started to rasp and my breath was short. Full of blood and scratches, but finally relieved that I'm alive, for now. Blood rushes though my head as I had the highest feeling I was going to die any second. I screamed in agony and pain as I tried to move the slightest inch, I can not budge. I look at the place where I layed and realized there was more blood than I thought, and some of it wasn't mine. It's his. He's finally gone, he can't break me apart no more. I'm more than glad he's finally dead. But my happiness won't stay long as I'm terrified by the fact that I'm literally dying in my own eyes. I scream for help, but all the way down this cliff no one can hear me. I started thinking about Kate and the pups, thinking what their life would be like without me. I did not want to think of any of it, as any father wouldn't want to see their own kids grow up without them. But sometimes, you do anything you can so protect your family, even if you pay the highest price by sacrificing yourself. I laid my head down and took a large deep breath, I closed my eyes and waited for my death to come any moment.

"Kate..." I rasped. Small tears ran down my face, this was the last moment I can share with her. Suddenly I stopped dreaming and carefully lifted my head up as I heard voices in the cave.

"Hummmphreyy..." A voice called from the cave in front of me. My ears perked up, hearing the voice fade away.

"Humphreyyy." The Voice came closer. I started getting paranoid and scanned the dark cave. Then the voice was heard again but it came from another direction. I looked every direction to hear the noise I just couldn't figure out from where.

"I'm here." The voice called out to me and I looked up and saw a beautiful white wolf. Wait a minute...she looked familiar. A little too familiar.

My eyes, wide open. It can't be? Is that her? Surely it couldn't be..my mother? Fur whiter than snow, eyes bluer than the ocean. She looked just as beautiful as I last saw her. Her eyes glowed, it was hard for me to tell if it was actually here, I just can't picture it clearly. My mind was spinning like crazy, both from the pain and the moment of remembrance of my mother standing in my presence.

No one's POV

"It's me son. Don't be afraid." She said in a very calm and soothing voice. Humphrey cried out to her, every bit of emotion left poured out to his mother in front of him. His mother who he hasn't seen his whole entire life stood in front of him like an angel.

"M-m..m-mom.." He bawled. Athena wiped his sons tears away.

"T-This can't be real.."

"It's been so long my son. I'velooked down and saw the great big wolf you've become. And I've never been more proud of you, I love you son." Athena said. Those words broke him down and he hugged her tighter.

"I love you mom.." Humphrey said to her softly.

Just then a gust of wind blew out and around them two. Athenas figure was slowly fading and going with the wind. Athena held her paw down his chest and Humphreys body was beginning to heal. Humphrey gasped at first and then became amazed. Open wounds and flesh were mended in him, and his mom smiled down to him as she stood like an angelic figure of snowy white and crystal ice. Athena held her head up in the sky and howled deeply in an angelic and mighty tone. The clouds vaporized as the echo hummed through the air. Humphrey was amazed at her howl, she had the voice of an angel, much like Kates. After she finished howling, she walked away. Humphrey, in his confusion got up and called out for her.

"Mother! Don't leave me! Wait!" Humphrey said as Athena turned around to her son.

"You need to go back to your family, they need you. Your pack needs you, you are the light above them my son, and you are the Alpha I wish I would've raised you to be. I am sorry for bringing upon such a cruel and terrible life, I am so proud of what you've become." Athena bawled out laying her head on his sons chest.

"I've never been more blessed to have such an amazing and loving mother like you. You were the one reminding me to never be afraid and everything was okay, and I don't blame you for what happened. So please, come stay with us, you are family to me." Humphrey pleaded.

"I'm sorry dear. You need to go. I'll be watching from above. Lift up your spirit and go and raise your children to be proud leaders like you are." Athena smiled to her son. Humphrey pulled her close even tighter, not wanting to let go of her.

"I don't wanna let go." He whispered to his mother.

"It's okay to let go.."

Athena pulled away and nuzzled her son. And walked back and faded away with the wind. Humphrey smiled and watched her leave with the wind up until it disappeared in the sky.

"I love you mom." He said proudly. He knows she will be watching from the sky, looking down to her proud and mighty son. Who came from nothing out of something. She was his role model, and he was hers. Humphrey knew the best thing to do was to go back to his family. The war was over. They won.

"HUMPHREY!" Howls and noises came from the cave. Humphrey figured it was Candu's voice and walked toward it and saw Candu and the Alphas running toward him. They gave him a small hug and reconciled again.

"Humphrey you're alive!" Candu gave him a tight hug. Then he looked to his right and saw a slightly smaller wolf who happened to be Hugo, stood to him. Humphrey smiled back.

"Oh I'm so glad you guys are too!" Humphrey said relieved. Hugo nodded to his leader.

"You too kid. Well done!" Humphrey also said patting Hugo's head. He smiled up to him.

"Thanks sir."

"I'm sorry I doubted you. You are a strong and fearless warrior. You are the next head of this great Pack." Humphrey said to him. Hugo smiled and thanked him again, proud to serve by his side.

"Is he dead?" Claws asked.

"Yes. It's done." Humphrey said.

"Good."

"It's not over yet. Where's Hutch and Garth and the rest of the gang?" Humphrey asked.

"I thought he was with you? He led the rest of the gang in the hole, where the cave was blocked off.." Humphrey said.

"Shit. More wolves must be down there. Let's go help get them!" Scar said as they all ran down the mountain looking for remaining wolves.

As they were running down and scanning every peak and cliff, more wolves were joining back, many were injured but they can walk it off. Remaining wolves of the horde were killed off, spit on, and thrown down the cliffs in the abyss. Humphrey took lead as he led the wolves down the mountain looking for Hutch and the crew. Hugo ran alongside Humphrey and looked up to him while running. He smiled, he remembered watching the wolves run across the plains and wanting to be one of them. Now here he is running besides the leader. Humphrey looked to his right and saw Hugo and nodded.

"Better get used to this kid!" He winked. The wolves clashed down the mountain looking for the remaining crew.

Inside the Cave

Garth woke up in the cough of his own blood, his eyes woke and bloodshot. He got up and shivered at the sight of dead wolf corpses around him. He can still hear the screams of his wolves. He was left in the dark, deep cave. He can't see through the darkness well, bleeding eyes and drenched with blood as he was loosing his eyesight.

"H-h-help." Garth tried to scream. But his voice only came out weak and raspy. Barely a sound could be heard outside the thick walls of the deep cavern. He cried out for Hutch's name, no response. He sat back down on all fours after receiving a sharp pain in his side of the stomach, he can see his rib bone slightly sticking out from his stomach, still inside the skin and flesh.

"H-h-help.." Garth yelped. He knew he lost. He was alone in a dark, cold cave. He has no response to any of his wolves. Humphrey and the rest are nowhere to be found. He bows his head down and cries softly, knowing he won't ever escape in this inner darkness.

Suddenly, a voice was heard deeper in the cave. It was Hutch. Garth perked his ears up, and followed the voice. Slowly and painfully he walked through the cave and saw Hutch on the floor, in his last dying words. Garth ran to him and touched the side of him, looking into his eyes. Hutch's eyes fluttered and looked to him. His mouth muttered Garth's name, and Garth cried and smiled at him.

"I-it's me Garth.." Garth said crying to him. Garth knows he couldn't do anything to save him. He's been bleeding for hours now and Hutch has accepted his fate.

"I-I'm..s-s-scared.." Hutch stuttered. Coughing blood and squeezing onto Garths hands.

"D-don't be! I'm gonna get you outta here! You here me?" Garth cried even harder to him. But he knows, he can't get him out.

"W-we won. I-Know it." Hutch closed his eyes and smiled. Accepting his death in a victory, he was no longer afraid.

"Hutch. You-you never told me you-"

"I..I know. I'm sorry." Hutch spoke out. Garth mentioned about his friends sexual orientation, not that it bothered him but he knew why he would keep it a secret. Hutch coughed one last breath and his heart slowed down.

"Don't! Don't lose me! I need you Hutch. I need you. I don't know what to do.." Garth held his head down and closed Hutch's eyes shut. One final year dropped onto Hutch's cold fur, and his breathing slowed and his heart finally came to a stop. Eyes shot open, mouth out, and no movement whatsoever.

"I love you brother.." Garth cried.

Garth held his head up and howled. It was a very weak and dry howl. But it could still be heard through the caves. He gave it his all and howled even louder so hopefully anyone who was outside could hear him. The little rocks and pebbles above were collapsing and he can hear the echoes of the howl in the deep caverns. Garth dropped his head and look at Hutch, dead on the floor. He bowed his head onto his and closed his eyes.

"Thank you. Thank you for saving me."

No ones POV

Then from the distance the wolves look out and notice them large cavern that is collapsing. They gasp, knowing there's several wolves trapped in there, presumably Hutch and Garth. They pick up their pace and guide their way along the frozen ground without a stop. They make their way to the walls of the outside cave screaming for any answers inside.

"Hutch! Garth! You in there?!" Humphrey slammed his paws on the walls knocking hard. No answer. The only sound audible was the cavern walls collapsing and thundering shakes from within.

"TAKE A STEP BACK! Get out of the way!" An alpha screamed as they leap back and watch the large cave demolished and crumbled onto the frozen icy tundra. The thundering shake causes large quakes and cracks of the ground form beneath them. smoke was filled everywhere and dust was covering the entire valley of the northern mountain as the large cavern collapses.

"NO!" Humphrey screamed as he ran back to the cave, he disappears in the thick dust as he ran in there.

"Humphrey no!" Candu shouted.

The dust cleared and the area became cleared from the smoke. The last of the large boulders smacked the hard ground and left large echoes through the valley. The wolves look and saw Humphrey standing next to a wolf laying on the ground. It was Hutch, and every wolf makes their way toward him. They see Humphrey bowing his head down crying.

"Hutch...don't do this" Humphrey said as he held his paw on his cold frozen face. He was battered and bruised everywhere, and the icy claw of the evil one sliced through his heart. Hugo arrived and saw his pal, dead on the floor.

Hugo bawled his eyes out, and head his head down to his chest. His soft silky fur became wet from Hugo's soft tears. Humphrey held his paw on Hugo's shoulder. Then an unexpected moment happened when Hugo got up and hugged Humphrey, crying onto him. Humphrey accepted and pulled him in.

"I know he was your friend. He was our friend." Humphrey said to him. Candu and the rest of the alphas nodded, mourning the death of their friend.

Hugo's last and only friend was Hutch. He was the one who convinced him to join the United packs journey to the Northern Mountain. Hutch was also the only friend of Hugo's to personally open up to him and talk to him deeply. He's never had a good friend like Hutch, friendly, brave, strong and courageous. A set of paws were heard behind them when they heard a wolf approaching them, they look and it was Garth. The large orange wolf stopped in his track as they saw the wide expressions on their faces.

"Garth?! Where were you?" Humphrey asked. Garth laid his head low.

"I was in the cave. But I made my way out as it collapsed. I was in their with Hutch. He gave out his last words as the cave was closing in..." Garth said looking down. He felt guilty leaving his friend in there behind.

"It's okay. I'm glad you are alive" Humphrey said hugging him. "You too coyote." Garth chuckled. The other wolves hugged their leader and sparked a little bit of happiness from him being alive. Garth looked down to Hutch and mumbled thank you to him and closed his eyes. Garth howled in there air, and every wolf joined in. Paying their respects to their friends who didn't make it out alive, their howl was a mixture of sadness and grief, and a little bit of victory. They stopped and looked at each other, wondering what's next for them.

"We. We did it." Humphrey said, actually relieved. He still didn't know how he was alive, making his way up the mountain was suicide itself, and defeating the wolf that haunted him and his lack was also a miracle. But he had his family by his side and friends who never gave up on him, and he had the strength of an Alpha and the heart of an Omega.

"It's time to go home." Garth spoke. The wolves journey down the mountain. The journey on the way down was easier and the snowstorm cooled down. Thanks to the avalanche also it helped clear out all the wind and cold breeze down the mountain as well.

Humphrey and Garth led the way down the mountain and as they looked to the side they noticed the large icicles and spikes that were seen from the top of the peaks. They were huge, and very large in numbers. Humphrey squinted and noticed a dark figure in the fog. It was him. But he wasn't moving. Or...actually he was! Humphrey gasped at first, then growled deeply. How the hell is this wolf still alive? He was thrown down the edge of the mountain and landed on the icicle, impaling him through the heart. They walked closer and the large black fighters became apparent to every wolf there, and they all barked at him. His bloodshot red eyes shot up, veins popping out his forehead and neck, he struggled to move out as the icicle was keeping him from moving, blood became oozing through his mouth and nose, and chest. He spat blood, and noticed the wolves approaching very closely to him. He immediately recognized them, and let out a soft growl and chuckled to himself.

"Oh no it's the United Pack" Ragnos mocked out to them, faking to be afraid. The wolves walked closer to Ragnos and stood about five feet away from him watching the old wolf give out his last breathes as he began dying from blood loss.

"You reek of sorrow and regret. Oh what's wrong? Some of your wolves didn't make it out alive?" Ragnos laughed uncontrollably.

"Your wishes of death have come. Look no further. " Garth barked.

"You are pathetic. Ragnarok was about conquering Jasper. It was about receiving my fathers gift, I wanted to do what he wanted. But after everything i've done for him, he nearly beaten me to death and thrown me down the pit, I deserved to achieve my fucking destiny!" Ragnos screamed. Then he stared at Humphrey with his fuming crimson eyes.

"Do you know how many wolves I have killed? How many packs I have conquered? You're nothing compared to me, but you are similar. How many wolves have you killed?"

"I'm nothing like you. Not one bit." Humphrey stated coldy.

"Look at you. You're an Omega. You're not a true Alpha, you don't even deserve to be alive after what you have caused. Your life is crumbling and one tiny string is holding you up, all because you became an Alpha. You wouldn't be anything if you haven't married one, you wouldn't have been shit if you were to remain an Omega!" Ragnos snarled, making Humphrey angry.

"Say what you want about me, I would care less what you say about me. It's over. We won. Your days of conquering and fearing Jasper is over. You and your 'horde' shall perish, especially you. After what you've done to me. You killed my mother, harrassed my wife and tried to kill my daughter, now you try to kill me but fail. You don't deserve to even be called a wolf." Humphrey barked back.

"Eat shit! You and your pitiful pack!" Ragnos growled spitting blood in his face.

"Go to Hell.." Humphrey strikes him in the heart and dug his claws deep into his heart, Ragnos barked deeply and winced in pain. He felt pain for a couple seconds then laughed. So Humphrey duh his claws even deeper in his flesh until more blood leaked out his chest.

"Grrrrrgh.. Hail F-Fenrir..." Ragnos' last words spoke out.

Humphrey pulled his claws out and took a step back. The wolf was dead, never to be woken up again. He sighed. It was over. Ragnos couldn't do harm to him and his family ever again. He looked up in the air and saw a large black hawk circling the dead wolf. It was over. The Horde was gone.

"Even the birds smell death." Garth chuckled, letting out a small laughter from everyone.

"Now let's go home."

The wolves go home. Leaving everything behind them, but they don't return down with smiles on their face. They have won, but at what cost? They buried every single wolf's body on a large cliff side on a mountain. They leave with sorrow and sadness, but in their hearts they felt victorious, and served their pack with honor and bravery. They walked down slowly, heads up ancient chests up, moving forward. Forgetting about the past. They are conquers of Jasper, and their Kingdom stands tall and proud. No wolf or pack shall ever break the heart of the United pack. Nor will they ever try. There will be no greater threat then what they have just been through.

The United Pack. Humphrey and Garth lead down the mountain, ready to return home to their families. Humphrey stopped in his track for a moment and looked up back at the Northern mountain. He remembered seeing his mother, he knew she was real. And her spirit is still alive.

"Thank you Mom.. Thank you." Humphrey whispered and smiled wildly. He knew his mother was there to hear that. And her spirit would roam around him keeping him and his family safe. He knew he made her proud, very proud. From the little wolf saved by Winston from the snowstorm, to a leader returning home from a War with Hell itself. Anyone should be proud of that, even him himself can't stop saying that to himself.

"Humphrey you coming?" Garth said noticing he fell back to the back of the pack.

"Yea I am. Let's go home. Let's go live out lives what do ya say?" Humphrey chuckled.

"As long as I'll live. Family is always number one.." Garth smiled.

"Yes it is." Humphrey said and he wanted to share a little of something to everyone. He wanted some good news and some endearment to be spread around.

You know, the hardest part about being a wolf is, leaving your loved ones behind and fighting for what you have left. Sometimes food is scarce or winters are too cold and everyone would think of giving up and just dying to end their suffering.."

"But not a Wolf. A wolf never quits and leaves everything he has to cherish behind him. That's what makes us special. It doesn't matter Alpha or Omega, male or female, young or old, we are all one." Humphrey spoke out his true words, Garth and every other wolf nodded their heads in agreement.

"We are the United Pack. We will stand strong and mighty. From Beginning till the End, Alpha and Omega." Humphrey preached.

"We are the Alpha and Omega"
