As I leaned against the wall I watched Mozenrath carefully sweep up the broken glass, struggling when his bandages kept getting caugt on the broken shards. Muttering under his breath I watched with a growing sense of dread as Mozenrath, finally getting sick of the bandages catching tugged at them and I stared already knowing what was coming when his eyes widened.

"My hand...what happened to my hand?" Mozenrath gasped as I pushed off from the wall barely making it before I had to grab the table. Kneeling as best I could I reached out and Mozenrath flinched as I started to unwrap his right hand revealing his skeletal hand.

"There was an accident and...well this is the result." I lied, hoping he wouldn't ask anything more but when he stared at his hand then me I sighed. "I wanted to tell you but I just didn't know how. But you still have feeling in your hand see?" I added, tracing his fingers with mine and he blinked at me chewing his lip before he pulled his hand from my grasp.

"How...how am I still able to use my hand?" Mozenrath asked, the shock fading to curiosity and I just shrugged watching as he traced the fingers of his right hand with his left still staring at the bones until I cleared my throat.

"I guess it has something to do with magic but I'm not completely sure. Until you get your memories back your guess is as good as mine, Mozenrath. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner I was just worried what your reaction would be." I apologized, hanging my head until I felt his hand on my shoulder and I looked up in time to see a faint smile on his face.

"No need to apologize, Kaya. I can see why you didn't want me to know about my right hand but I appreciate the concern. It is a shock but it doesn't look so bad." Mozenrath replied and I snorted my own attempt at a laugh when he cleared his throat. "Well it does look bad but..." He trailed off when I kissed his cheek unable to stop myself from giggling as his face turned a bright red and he coughed.

"Don't worry about it, Mozenrath. How about I help you clean up and then we go for a walk? All three of us?" I added as Xerxes hovered between us and he nodded. Once the glass had been cleared Mozenrath took me by the hand and as we made our way out of the lab Xerxes flew between us as we headed back into the hallway, both lost in our own worlds as we wandered around.

I should have bound his hand tighter. Sooner or later Mozenrath's going to ask more questions about his hand and I don't know what I'm going to tell him.I just hope Aladdin and his friends buried that gauntlet.

As we walked Mozenrath glanced at me noting that I was looking around the citadel with two slightly narrowed eyes and he paused wondering why I seemed so distracted.

The hand is a shock but Kaya wouldn't hide it without a good reason...would she? She seems too nice and she hasn't lied to me before. At least I don't think so.

Once we reached another door Mozenrath carefully pushed it open revealing the biggest pool I had ever seen in my entire life and when I started to hobble towards it Mozenrath quickly wrapped his arm around my waist once he saw me stumble. "Maybe soaking your ankle will help." Mozenrath suggested and when I turned my head he gave me a tiny smile. "It couldn't hurt."

"That's a really good idea, Mozenrath." I finally admitted and his smile grew as I leaned on his shoulder Xerxes flying around the room as we made our way towards the pool. As soon as I sat on the edge near a set of steps I pulled off my shoes, dipping my feet into the water only to yelp and Mozenrath's eyes flew to my face until I shivered.

"Sorry but the water's kind of cold." I commented and he cracked a grin dipping his right hand into the water and I blinked as he cupped his hand. I barely had time to open my mouth when he threw a handful of water at my face and I yelped, breathing hard as I sat there with a wet and dripping face.

"Hmm I suppose it is cold." Mozenrath commented, grinning as I wiped my eyes though once the shock wore off my lips curled into a grin and he laughed only to freeze as I shifted closer. To Xerxes' shock I leaned close enough to his master to shove Mozenrath who managed a yelp of surprise before he tumbled into the pool still fully clothed.

"Kaya dunk Mozenrath?" Xerxes asked, his eyes darting between me and Mozenrath whose head broke the surface of the water his eyes wide and as he coughed I leaned in close.

"Serves you right, Mozenrath for getting me wet." I teased and he just blinked at me a trace of a smile appearing on his lips before he tossed his soaking wet turban onto the stone steps. Before I could pull away he grabbed my shoulders a smirk on his lips now before he yanked me into the pool drenching me and as my head broke the surface he laughed, his arms wrapped around my waist as he sniggered at the shock on my face and the water dripping down my forehead. "That wasn't funny!" I yelled as Xerxes spun around in midair laughing as did his master.

When I crossed my arms still shivering from the cold water Mozenrath softened after I turned my back, coughing from the water that had managed to get into my mouth. "It was only a joke, Kaya. I didn't mean to upset you." Mozenrath sighed and I finally turned my head to see him floating beside me chewing his lip.

"Mozenrath, it was kind of funny." I admitted when he stared at me, still chewing his lip. "Just warn me next time okay?" I asked and he nodded, brightening when I draped my arms around his neck.

"I promise the next time I want to play a trick on you I'll ask first." Mozenrath promised and I frowned, noting how strange that sounded.

"Don't worry about it, Mozenrath. I could do with a bath anyway." I pointed out and he nodded getting a face full of cold water for his trouble. "That's not very nice." I complained and he just shrugged a tiny smirk on his lips as I turned around fully only to feel his arms around my waist.

"I might have lost my memory, Kaya but I still know what fun is." Mozenrath commented and I blinked as he lightly brushed my hair over one shoulder, his lips brushing my left ear. When I sighed he smiled to himself liking the way I pressed my back to his chest.

"I can see that now, Mozenrath." I whispered, liking the way he kissed my earlobe and when his teeth nibbled I felt myself shiver. Mozenrath paused thinking he'd done something wrong until I buried my face in his neck and he smiled. "You can keep going if you'd like. I don't mind." I managed to whisper and he nodded, already kissing the back of my neck before I'd even finished talking.

Once I nodded up towards Xerxes who had been watching our exchange with a mixture of shock and curiously in his mismatched eyes and Mozenrath coughed finally remembering that the eel was hovering overhead.

"We should continue this at a later date...when we don't have an audience." Mozenrath suggested as I turned fully around, planting a kiss on his lips that left his slightly annoyed at his familiar as we started to climb from the pool. The cold water had helped my ankle allowing me to hobble up the steps though I did stumble once we reached the pool's edge and Mozenrath grinned wrapping his arm around my waist to steady me.

"Good idea, Mozenrath. My ankle's still giving me trouble." I replied, kneeling to retrieve his turban though when I immediately winced Mozenrath helped me sit. After I handed Mozenrath his turban I watched on with a faint grin as he squeezed it, water spilling onto the floor and with a shrug and a smile he placed it back on his head. "You do look good in that turban." I told him and he just nodded, helping me to my feet when I tried to stand.

"Thank you." Mozenrath answered after a pause, allowing me to lean on his shoulder as we left the pool room heading further into the citadel.
