So, who watched the Spring trailer?

My friend and I were discussing our thoughts about Alicia's BIG storyline. I immediately thought pregnancy, but after watching it a few times, we both wondered if she gets raped. Of course, it is a very difficult subject to tackle and write about and it might not happen, but I thought about writing a story on it.

I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter One

Alicia allowed the tears to fall freely down her face, as she stepped out into the warm, Spring breeze.

She wiped her snotty nose along the sleeve of her Holby City jacket, and stuffed her hands deeply into the pockets of her trousers. She felt sick again, the third time that week. Every morning since it happened, she'd woken up with this awful feeling of dread, and there was nothing that she could do to get rid of it. She hoped that work would help, that it would be a good distraction, but in fact it just made her feel worse.

She kicked a few stones and dragged her tired feet over to the bench. Keeping her hands in her pockets, she sat down and watched as Iain and Sam wheeled a patient out of the back of the ambulance. She'd been due to go back to work five minutes ago, but she needed just a little bit longer to think.

"Are you okay, Alicia?"

It was Iain's voice, but it took a moment for Alicia to actually realise that. She'd been so distracted by her own, dark thoughts. Slowly lifting her head, she acknowledged Iain and forced a smile for him.

"I'm fine," she whispered. "Just a headache, that's all."

Iain nodded at her, and he and Sam wheeled the patient through the doors of the ED.

Alicia's head fell into her hands, and she felt more tears trickle down her cheeks and through the gaps in her fingers. She wished that there was someone who she could speak to, but after the 'Rage in Resus' blog, she felt as if she had no one. No one was there for her.

Her hands began to tremble, as she thought back to what had happened. She'd been on a late shift and instead of calling for a taxi, she'd stupidly decided to walk home. She didn't think that anything would happen, but it did, didn't it? He came out of nowhere, face covered with his hood, and had her pinned up against the wall within seconds. She'd desperately wanted to scream, but he'd threatened her with a knife.

She wouldn't have been able to escape, no matter how hard she'd tried.

She couldn't help but blame herself. It was her fault. Any other person would have just called for a taxi, but she didn't live far from Holby, so assumed that walking would be a safe option. How wrong had she been though?

Thinking back to that night brought a certain someone to her mind. She pulled out her mobile, unlocked it, and scrolled through her contacts until she came to Lily's name. Lily had left for Hong Kong back in November, and the two of them had never been the best of friends, but Lily was probably the only one to understand what she was going through. She hadn't told anyone but that's because she knew that no one would understand, not even Ethan.

Lily would.

She chewed on her lip anxiously, clicked on Lily's number, and held the phone to her ear. What if she didn't reply? Lily had a new job so she was bound to be busy. Then who would Alicia talk to? After a few minutes of waiting, Lily eventually answered.

"Doctor Munroe," she said, causing Alicia to roll her eyes.

Lily didn't even work at the ED anymore, and yet she still couldn't call her by her first name.

"Why are you ringing me?" Lily then asked.

"Sorry," Alicia apologised quietly, and she hated herself for sounding so weak and scared. "Are you busy? I just really needed to talk to you about something."

"I'm working," Lily said. "And you should be as well. Why did you need to talk to me exactly?"

"Do..." Alicia gulped to try and hold back her tears. "Do you remember that time we had to treat that young girl? She was only twelve, and she'd been sex...sexually a...a..."

She couldn't even get the word out. It hurt too much.

"Abused," she managed in a small voice.

"I remember," Lily sighed. "One of the hardest moment of my life. Why do you ask?"

"You had to leave the room," Alicia reminded her, keeping her voice as quiet as possible. "When I asked why, you told me that it had happened to you once upon a time. You were fifteen, I think."

"Seventeen," Lily corrected her. "Why are you bringing this up?"

Alicia didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say. She thought that it would be so easy to tell Lily, but now that she was actually on the phone to her, it was extremely challenging. She was tempted to just hang up the phone, but she knew that Lily would probably panic and ring her back.

"Alicia?" Lily spoke again.

Alicia. It wasn't Doctor Munroe. It was Alicia. Lily could obviously tell that she had something important and serious to tell her, she could obviously tell where the conversation was going.

"I just don't know what to do, Lily," Alicia sobbed, her tears continuing to fall faster. "I don't know what to do. I...I can't talk to anyone. I...I only called you because...Because I...I thought that you would under...understand, m...more than anyone."

"Alicia. What's going on?" Lily asked. "You're scaring me."

Alicia was suddenly stuck for words again. All she could do was sob uncontrollably down the phone.

"Alicia," Lily said her name again. "Has someone hurt you?"

"Um..." Alicia nodded, even though Lily couldn't see her. "Uh-huh. I...I was...I was r...raped. I don't know what to do. I just...I know that it happened to you, and I needed to talk to someone."

"Have you told Ethan?" Lily whispered.

She sounded as if she was crying as well now. Alicia should have known better. The conversation was probably bringing back horrible memories for her.

"I can't," Alicia cried, violently shaking her head from side to side.

People passing by stopped to stare at her. Luckily, she didn't know any of them, but she still felt self-conscious. She got up and moved away from the bench, to somewhere around the corner that seemed more private. No one could see her then.

"Ethan hates me," she continued, as she leaned back against the wall. "I wrote this stupid blog and now..."

"Rage in Resus?" Lily questioned her. "I read it. You made some good points."

"You read it?" Alicia sniffed.

"Of course I did," Lily scoffed. "It was all over the internet. I have to admire you for writing it to be honest. Like I said, some good points were made, but Ethan isn't talking to you now, eh?"

"No," Alicia said. "Even if he was, he wouldn't understand. No one would."

Lily sighed and asked, "Do you need me to fly over? You sound as if you could do with a friend, some help, and I don't really want you to be alone right now."

"But you have work. You can't leave Hong Kong, Lily," Alicia said. "I'm not asking you to. I...I just needed to talk to someone."

"I can't leave you in this state," Lily said. "I can ask for some time off, tell them that I have a family emergency or something. Yes, work is important, but what's going to happen to you if you don't talk to anyone else about it?"

"I can handle it," Alicia said.

"I'm sorry, but you don't sound as if you can," Lily said. "You wouldn't have phoned me otherwise. I'll talk to work and I will try and get the next available flight out. You need a friend right now, Alicia."

"Are you sure?" Alicia cried. "I don't want you to get into trouble. I only called for a chat."

"I will handle it," Lily said sternly. "I want you to remember something for me though, okay?"

"What's that?" Alicia asked.

"This was not your fault," Lily said. "What happened is a sick and horrible thing, and no one deserves to go through it. You may blame yourself and you may hate yourself, but it is not your fault. I promise. You've got me now, alright? Everything is going to be okay."

A while ago, someone asked me to write a story about Alicia. Considering, I haven't written for her much, this chapter went surprisingly well, haha. Also, Lily isn't returning and Alicia may not get raped. It's just an idea.

I hope you're enjoying it so far. Please leave a review and let me know what you think x
