It was morning when Hook resurfaced to a small beautiful cove in Mermaid Lagoon.

The ride had left him very weak. He had received small but very bad bruises and a cut on his chest.

When he came to, Hook coughed out the water out of his mouth and crawled to shore.

"Blast" he muttered to himself.

Once he had reached the jungle of the island, Hook tried stand himself up, only to fall and land on a tree stump.

Seeing where he was, a memory came back to him. It was when he tricked the young girl, Jane into helping him capture Peter Pan.

Hook found the whole thing quite ironic; the girl he captured and brought to Never Land was alone and filled with hopelessness, and right now he was alone and filled with hopelessness.

Guilt filled inside Hook.

It was like he was in a dark place and there was no way out from it.

A sob was caught in his throat.

Hook sat on the tree stump and buried his head between his knees.

A long time had passed and Smee was searching all over the island, looking for Hook.

He was that loyal. He wouldn't give up on his captain.

"Cap'n! Cap'n!" he called. "Oh, where can he be?"

But then as he took another step, Smee fell to the ground.

"Ow!"

He looked up and saw Hook sleeping on the tree stump.

Wanting to make sure he was still alive, Smee placed an ear on the side of Hook's cold, bare chest.

"Oh, thank heavens" he sighed. "You're alright, Cap'n."

But the first mate knew he couldn't leave Hook in the cold, so he dragged the sleeping Hook away from the tree stump.

Though he managed to drag Hook away from the island, Smee suddenly felt tired and weak to carry his captain anymore.

Despite his determination, Smee then gave up and dropped the captain to the ground, passing out as he did.

Night fell and Hook and Smee were still unconscious from the long day with the octopus.

Fireflies glowed through the dark.

Tinker Bell was passing by when she noticed the two pirates laying on the ground.

She wanted to leave, but her conscious convinced her otherwise as it would have be wrong for a fairy like her to let a human die.

What will Peter say about this? she thought to herself.

Sprinkling some pixie dust, Hook and Smee were suddenly lifted off the ground and Tink pushed them further on the island.
