A/N: I will soon increase chapter lengths to 1500/2000 words. This story will update on Fridays. I changed up small parts of all the previous chapters.

Takumi felt a tingly sensation in his chest when he noticed Misaki was leaning closer to kiss him. It was really unexpected as he never imagined she would attempt to kiss him. Was it the alcohol? Or was it how good their time together had been going?

Feeling her lips finally came into contact with his own, he instantly responded by moving his hand which contained the glass of wine carefully, pushing her further against him. The kiss immediately started off passionate as he slipped his tongue inside of her mouth getting more of the taste of the wine she had drunk. He could also tell she wasn't wearing a bra underneath her shirt after his other hand accidentally pressed against her chest.

The sensation in his chest grew even more. Unbeknownst to him, it was also happening to Misaki.

The kiss made all her rational thoughts fly out the window. Why did bonding with Takumi involve kissing him? How about more conversations?

But all they've been having were conversations. And right now with her body feeling all fuzzy, the kiss just felt good. It was the reason she brought the same energy into the kiss that Takumi was bringing. Kissing each other as though it was long overdue even though they just shared their first kiss earlier at dinner.

That's right. He kissed her at dinner first.

"Ah," Her thoughts were interrupted when Takumi gently squeezed her skin close to the breast. She felt embarrassed when she let out the sound and pulled away from the kiss. She just knew her cheeks had to be red from the embarrassment.

Misaki shyly turned her attention to the ground before slowly turning her gaze back to Takumi. She finally noticed how he was staring at her as if he were contemplating something.

"I think we need to slow down right now," She whispered not looking away from gaze. If this were to continue who knew where they'd end up right now. She had a good imagination where. Misaki unfortunately pictured herself under Takumi in this very room and blushed even more. What was wrong with her?

Takumi remained silently watching Misaki have an internal breakdown. Most likely thinking of the kiss and where it would've to lead. He took a sip of the wine trying to calm down the adrenaline rush he feeling right now. He was definitely enticed by the kiss. He wanted more of it but he could tell Misaki didn't want to go beyond that for now and he would respect it.

Looking at the situation, going past what they just shared would be too fast but at least they had taken a step where Misaki could confidently kiss him. Judging by how he felt when they kiss he could confirm there some small growing romantic emotion there for Misaki. He didn't need to question if it was the same for her. Her actions right now said it all.

They were both two attractive people. If they weren't always arguing before and putting up a wall before, he guaranteed they would've long kissed before today.

And if you weren't with Mei at the time, a voice said in his mind ruining his mood.

Takumi frowned and drank the remaining wine in his class at once. Why did he have to think of her right now? Was it the guilt? It was growing more and more inside of him that he hadn't told Misaki the truth about his relationship. He knew he would one day have to tell her but he couldn't right now. He wanted her to enjoy a vacation from work right now. When they get back home he'll have a conversation with her.

He had to do it before the guilt consumed his entire body. He took the wine bottle and poured more wine inside of his glass. He was trying to drink the guilt away. He had stopped the relationship with Mei and moved forward to work things out with Misaki. Hopefully, she'll understand the position he was in. He didn't plan to hurt her as he no plans of getting married to her in the past.

"Takumi? Are you okay?" Misaki questioned when she noticed his facial expression. It seemed like he was upset about something. Was it about the kiss?

He smiled and showed her the glass of wine. "Drinking myself away thinking how much you seem to be regretting kissing me."

"What? I'm not regretting it, I'm the one who started it. I was just thinking it might've been awkward you know," She said holding out her glass for more wine.

"I see," He answered pouring wine into her glass. "Not awkward at all on my end. The kiss at dinner would've been more awkward."

She slowly nodded her in agreement. Their first kiss in front of a crowd of couples. "I worried about nothing."

"Cheers," Takumi said extending his glass out to her own and she clinks hers against his.

"Cheers."

They continued to drink their bottle of wine and got to know more about each other.

...

Richard Ranchester sat at his dinner table reviewing documents. He was finalizing his plans of what businesses he wanted to leave to each of his grandsons. He was certain he wanted Takumi to take over the main company officially in a written document. Takumi could do whatever he wanted without consulting Richard now. There was no one else fit for the position but him. Not even Gerald. Gerald's illness had taken a toll on him and he didn't have time to think about business. Gerald was also too busy playing around to avoid dealing with the fact that he was sick.

Richard didn't know what to do with Gerald. That's why he put such a big gamble in Takumi. He knew Takumi hated him but that wasn't important. He was glad Takumi was raised where he could tell someone's intentions. The boy was smart when it came to making business deals. Richard couldn't cuddle Takumi into the business world but showed him the harsh reality.

He had secretly accepted Takumi as his grandson many years ago after he came to terms with his daughter's death. He wanted this marriage to work because he liked the Ayuzawa girl. He hoped she could make his grandson happier than he was in the past.

He wanted her in Takumi's life compared to the Mei girl. He was surprised to come across the girl after he knew Gerald was with her in the past. She was nothing but a leech and he was surprised his grandson couldn't see that. He had paid her to stay away but yet she came back. The girl didn't know her place and he had no choice but to ruin her now or she would ruin the engagement.

He had gotten word Takumi called it off with her so it made things much easier.

"Gather all the recent information about that leech," He told his butler.

The next day.

Misaki slowly opened her eyes whilst stretching her body.

"Wha..." She trailed off when she opened her eyes to see Takumi's face right in front of her own. "What the hell!" She mentally screamed.
