A blondish-white feline stared at her new home. She sighed at the cold air as snow began to fall. She loosen her bright reddish pink scarf and put some mittens on. The cold didn't seem to affect her due to her self-made coat.

"Violet! Come help your father and I unpack!"

Violet turned to her mother and walked to her. She picks up a couple of boxes and walked towards her new home. A few moving men were helping her family unpack. She watched the muscular canines carry their TV into the house and place it gently in their new living room. Violet goes upstairs to her new bedroom and places her boxes of belongings on her bed. She looks around the room and began to reminiscence. Her old room was small, there were no windows and the wall was painted pink. Her new room is bigger, she has two windows, and it will soon be painted light red. Violet goes back to help her parents unpack. "Violet? Sweetie?" her mother called. Violet walks towards her mother and was handed another box. "Here. Put the picture frames where they belong. After you finished, come see me. Alright?" her mother, Ellie, said to her. Violet nods her head and did what she was told. She starts to place picture frames on the living room table and starts to make her way upstairs to her room. Violet takes out one frame in particular and stares at it. It was a picture of her real father. He passed away due to confrontation of a couple of thugs and was found dead in an alleyway, a gunshot wound to his head. Ever since then, her mother married another man who treated her and Violet like dirt. He's a canine, a lot tougher and stronger than her father. Violet hated him.

She put the picture frame on her dresser and another one of her and her real parents down. Her mother looked so happy back then. Violet remembers how everyday her father would tell her mother that she's beautiful. When they argued, he would apologize and makes it up to her mother. Now, thanks to her sorry excuse for a stepdad, her mother won't even look at herself in the mirror. Violet felt herself tear up a little and she shook her head. The blondish-white cat exited her room to continue to help unpack.

Violet and her parents finally finished unpacking and the moving men left. Violet spent the rest of the day upstairs in her new room; trying to get used to the new atmosphere around her. She heard her stepdad yell from downstairs and her mother yelling back.

Arguing again.

Her stepdad's name is Craig. He's the one thing that Violet wishes, no, prays to be erased from her life. All Violet wants is to spend more time with her mother. She's pretty close to her mother and she loves her with all of her heart. Tomorrow was the day that Violet goes to her new school. She often found herself thinking that school won't be so bad. Maybe she'll meet new friends...

Sorry that this is short. I'm not feeling very well. I need some time off. Till then.
