This was very fun to write. It was for a contest on VX where an original Riddick painting was the prize, and inspiration. Sadly no I didn't win, but it was fun!

Riddick walked to the main holding building accompanied by ten armed guards, five in front and five in back. It was a no light slam that he couldn't remember the name of. The cryo drugs sometimes had that affect on him. The group had paused awaiting entry when he caught her scent. At first he thought the muggy air of the planet was playing with his sense of smell, then he saw her look up at him from a work detail. Those mercury blue eyes that had haunted his dreams could never be mistaken. He smiled ever so slightly at her before the entourage entered the building.

She had been digging when she caught his scent, and prayed that she was wrong. The last thing that she wanted was to see Riddick in chains again, but there he was. Tall and arrogant, acting as if he owned the place. She was ashamed that he saw her like this, bony, filthy and dressed only in rags. But he was alive and knew she was here. Inwardly she smiled, knowing that tonight Riddick would come to her.

It was late that night when he silently dropped off the ledge and landed in front of her cell. Riddick and his beast rejoiced that she still lived, but was sickened by what had happened to her. Inhaling her scent one last time, he walked through the damaged bars that lined the front of the cave that was now her home.

"Jo Jo," he whispered as two glowing orbs shinned back at him from the rear of the cave.

Riddick walked to the middle of her cell, removed his goggles and tucked them away. The woman walked to where he was and with a deadly growl she slapped him hard across the face. He had expected no less from her, and in return Riddick allowed his beast to grab her by the throat and shove her into the darkest corner. A corner so dark that he could barely see, but then again neither could anyone else.

"Shaved your head." He said with some irritation.

"Lice," was the whispered reply.

She placed her hand on his face. Joline had long ago given up on seeing him again, but here he was standing in front of her. She heard him exhale as he placed his head on her shoulder and felt the animal inside him melt.

Riddick raised his head slightly, placed a kiss on her cheek and tasted the grime that hadn't been washed away with her sweat. He could tell that she was still trading her body for whatever was needed. The beast inside raised his hackles at the fact, even though they realized that if Joline killed for what she needed mercs would connect them together. That was something she would never allow.

He hadn't lied to the holy man when he disclosed the facts about the trash bin. Riddick had simply chosen not to tell it was Joline who had found him after the massacre. She was eight years older than him, and had raised the infant as best she could. Even after going into foster care, she was his entire world. Joline had even killed over him when one of the caregivers had tried to molest him. He owed her his life...and then some.

Joline rubbed his head, humming softly as they held each other tightly, happy in the tiny fact that Riddick still remembered his name for her. It was the closest he could come to saying it as a young child. When the song was finished she raised his head and looked into his eyes.

"When we cuttin' fence, Ricky?"

"As soon as you can fill me in on this shit hole's workings. While it's the darkest."

"Don't step up if you can't keep up." Joline smirked.

"Exactly."

Their bodies crushed together, as if trying to form one super Furyan being. The siblings were finally reunited. Riddick would die to keep them together. No slam could ever hope to hold them, and the universe would never be able to stop them.
