After lunch, in French, we had a test, which I totally forgot about, but I made it out fine with it- teachers let you study at the beginning of the class for a few minutes before the test. I do okay in French. I get mostly As and Bs in that class. It's good I'd be learning to speak French since people speak it sometimes. This is my first trip there, so I think it would be fun.

After school, Meredith said, "I'm just going over to Cassie's. The teachers asked me to bring homework there."

"Okay," I said. "I do the same thing for my other best friends."

"I might as well give her more details on Paris while I'm there if she's awake," said Meredith.

"Good idea," I agreed.

"If she's sleeping, I'll just wait until she's back in school to tell her," said Meredith.

Later, at home, I was doing homework. Meredith came back while I was halfway done.

"She was asleep, so I left her homework on her vanity," said Meredith.

After I was done, I did a few chores. Dad lets me do my homework first so it would be done before dinner. After dinner, Cassandra called Meredith to thank her for the homework. She was getting better, so she's going to try to do some homework. She asked what she missed. Meredith said just a French test. There was no other tests.

The next day, Cassie was better and back in school.

"I checked my passport. I still have two years on it, so I'm all set," said Cassandra.

"That's a good thing," said Meredith. "Oh, yeah, we're going to a fair over there."

"Nice," said Cassie. "I love fairs."

Cassie went to talk to her teacher about making up a test.

"Can I stay after school to do it?" asked Cassandra.

"Sure. You can do it during Study Hall if you want. I'll let you use the guide today," said the teacher.

"I did a little bit of studying when Meredith gave me the guide," said Cassie.

"It's up to you," said the teacher. "I have no problem either way."

I had my test back and luckily, I had a A-.

"I got a B+," said Kayla.

"Good," I said.

She gets a hard time to understand in French class, so we would work on it together. She does fine now. I'd help her study and she would get either an A or B on a test. On the other hand, Kaylee understands it pretty well. She gets all As since she went to Parker School. She helped Kayla most of the time.

Three days later, we got our slips. We'll be using American Airlines for Paris. It takes overnight to get there. We'll be excused from getting homework, too, which sounded great since we'll be doing a lot of things there. Everyone is getting excited.

"The permission slips are due a week from Friday before we can book our flight," said the teacher.

I put it in my folder to remind myself to give it to Dad.

"In the meantime, I'll be assigning you on a project on Paris. You'll have a few weeks to do it and will be due a week before we leave for Paris," said the teacher. "It will be a written report and on a three-folded poster board."

"You'll be working with a partner and you can pick your own," said the teacher.

I always pick Kayla or Kristy as my partner. I believe the school library might have books on Paris. If not, I'll go check at Stoneybrook Public Library.

"We can go to the school library during Study Hall," I said.

"Okay," said Kayla.

Meredith paired up with Cassie. Later, at Study Hall, Kayla and I went to the school library. We found some books on Paris.

"I think once we work together, we'll get it done before the due date," I said.

"I think so, too," said Kayla. "If we need to, we can renew them if we need more time. They allow you two renewals if I recall."

"Right," I said. "We can use my computer to look stuff as well."

"We can get a poster board after school," said Kayla.

"Sounds good," I said.

Cassandra was able to do the test during Study Hall without the guide. She's excellent with tests.

"If there's time, I'll go give it back to the teacher before the next class. Otherwise, I'll wait until after school," said Cassandra.

After school, we went to CVS so we each can get a poster board.

"Kayla and I are going to start doing it at her house because we'll be watching the younger kids while Kaylee goes for an appointment," I said.

"Okay, we'll be at Cassie's," said Meredith.

At Kayla's, we decided to use the kitchen table because it's bigger.

"The kids will be doing their homework in their rooms, so it's perfect. We have a computer in the living room, too, so we can go print it there. Mom and Dad don't like us using it when they're not home except for projects. I barely use it anyway during the day while Kaylee and I are watching the younger kids," said Kayla.

"That makes sense," I said. "I'll do a written report. I'll do just my homework while you print stuff out."

"Okay, sounds good," said Kayla.

She went to look up on Paris.

"Hey, how come you get to go on and we don't?" asked D.J., who can be a bit jealous.

"You know Mom and Dad don't allow us go on it except for any projects, remember?" asked Kayla.

"That's right," I said. "You need to learn to be patient."

"You don't hear anyone else complaining about it," said Kayla.

She printed out when Paris was invented. Plus, she found some movies that took place there. She was done after finding stars born there. She shut the computer off after that. She gave me a password in case I use it for my projects while we're on duty. Her mom did that in a secret way. Kaylee has it, too. They keep it in their phones. I decided to do the same thing. Their parents trust them.

"I'll save the written report for later so we can focus on the poster board," I said.

We cut out the pictures and labels. Kayla went to get glue from the kitchen. We were still working on it when Kaylee got back from her appointment two hours later.

"Wow. They're coming out great," said Kaylee.

"Who do you have as your partner?" I asked.

"I have Kathi," said Kaylee.

"Oh, good," I said.

"I know. She already bought a poster board. I'm going over to her house now to do it with her," said Kaylee.

"Who's printing out the stuff?" asked Kayla.

"She volunteered to do that while I had my appointment," said Kaylee.

"That's fair enough," I said.

She left ten minutes later.

"You're welcome to stay for dinner to allow you girls more time to do your project," said Mrs. Willis.

"Okay," I said.

"Sounds good," added Kayla.

"If I don't get to the writing report tonight, I can do it tomorrow during Study Hall," I said.

"True," said Kayla.

"I'll just go call Dad to let him know," I said.

That's what he did and it was all set. We were half way done when Mrs. Willis said we can leave the poster board on the side so we can set the table.

"Okay, we can finish it after dinner," said Kayla.

"You girls can still continue in your room until dinner," said Mrs. Willis.

"Alright," said Kayla.

"I'll excuse you both from helping set the table tonight," said Mrs. Willis. "Take your time."

"Want me gather others to do so?" asked Kayla.

"That would be great," said her mom.

"You can go get them and you can meet me in your room," I said.

I took the stuff to her room.

"Mario, you can go pitch in to set the table. Your sister and I are excused from doing it tonight," I said.

"Okay," said Mario.

He has no issue with me. Kayla met me a few minutes later.

"I saved you time to tell Mario," I said.

"That's fine. Thanks," said Kayla.

We continued it on her desk- she had more room there than her bed. Because of teamwork, we were done with it 10 to 15 minutes later.

"Perfect," I said. "I'll just work on it either when I get home or during Study Hall."

"I know with partners, it shows we'll be done before anyone else," said Kayla.

"It's faster with a partner," I said.

Mrs. Willis came by and said, "Dinner's ready, girls."

"We're done anyway," said Kayla.

We went out there. Mr. Willis had just gotten home from work.
