Bloom Soldier AU

(A/N: I own nothing and read last chapter.)

This was priceless. That's what Ediltrude was thinking as she took pictures of the looks on everyone's faces. Boss was down there showing why she had been the leader of their squad and 'The Dragoness' as well as being called the 'Goddess of Flames' amongst certain circles.

Ah so much blackmail and awesome reactions going on. Then again it was kind of strange seeing a girl barely twenty years old and not even five foot four picking up a dragon that weighed more than three ton and was more than five times her size by its tail as if she were slinging her book bag on over her shoulder. Honestly to her it probably weighed about the same amount as her book bag.

And since Ediltrude was here then Bloom didn't need to worry about any civilian damages or endangerments. After all…shadows and darkness were Ediltrude's specialty…and shields were childs play to her. Holding this barrier up even in direct sunlight which weakened her powers?

Piece of cake. She could do this literally all day and then recharge once night hit and do it again tomorrow. Trust her, it wouldn't be the first time she's done it.

"You alright down there boss?" Ediltrude asked making a garbled roar come from the throat of the red haired woman. It had a bit of a positive sound to it and judging by her body language... Ediltrude counted that as a yes.

"I think that comes out as a yes." Griselda said sweat dropping and making Ediltrude nod slightly in agreement, completely serious.

"Yeah that was a yes when she's like that." Ediltrude confirmed with a nod. She knew her boss very well in order to be able to tell her queues' like that. She couldn't speak dragon like her boss could…but she could understand things likes 'yes' 'no' and 'food' fluently.

"I think she's having fun." DuFour said smiling at the sight of her mate tossing the dragons around as if they weighed nothing at all. The slender red head looked like she was grinning but it was hard to tell because of the facial scales.

"She is. This is the most she's been able to cut loose since before she came here most likely." Ediltrude said smiling at her boss who was gleefully throwing around the dragons as if they were toys. She was quite firmly beating it into them that she wasn't prey. She was the Alpha Dragon.

They bowed down and respected her. Not the other way around. And they would learn it or die trying to make her submit to the weaker dragons. It was kind of sad that Ediltrude knew her boss so well that she knew the red head would refuse to submit at all.

"It's also been a while since anyone really challenged her or tried to overpower her so she's having extra fun beating it into them that she's not going to submit and that she's the Alpha bitch." Ediltrude said shrugging slightly at the looks the others gave her for that. It wasn't like they could argue though. She wasn't wrong.

"I really don't like hearing that word associated with my mate." DuFour said giving Ediltrude a stern look and making her shrug slightly again.

"That's how she describes it not me." Ediltrude said unbothered and completely deadpan. She wasn't going to apologize for merely repeating what she had been told by her boss.

"Still…how would you feel if I called Grizelda a bitch?" DuFour asked and the growl and darkening, as well as spreading, lines of Ediltrude's power on her skin was an answer that showed how much it displeased her. Her growl was actually a lot like Bloom's dragon growls for someone without an animal power as her pitch black eyes seemed to somehow glow.

"Fair point." Ediltrude growled out and her arms reached out to wrap around her wife as one of the dragons wised up and began cowering submissively in front of Bloom. The other was still being far too stubborn for a little longer. Bloom grabbed it by the tail and slammed it into the ground a few times, growling sharply at it.

Ediltrude snickered at the looks on everyones faces at her doing that, especially when Bloom lifted it high above her head and swung it around with one hand in giant circles before she let it go and watched it crash into the dark walls of Ediltrudes power. There was a small web of cracks from the impact but Ediltrude just pushed some more power into the barrier and it healed right up.

Finally the dragon began to submit and Bloom nodded once sharply as both of the dragons cowered before her, posing submissively and giving small whines. She growled sharply at them and pointed to their paddocks, which were quickly opened and the barrier in front of the doors dropped by Ediltrude.

Both dragons hurriedly ran for their paddocks and calmly settled into them, more than happy to get away from the dangerous small Alpha.

"That's the Sergeant for you!" Jacob said grinning widely and throwing his fist in the air, the rest of the Rugby team agreeing loudly as they roared a cheer for their Sergeant.

Bloom glanced up at them and then closed her eyes and visibly relaxed herself as the scales receded but the leathery red dragon wings stayed out and her nails seemed a bit more like talons than normal.

"Shadow you can drop the barrier." Bloom said and the large shadowy barrier immediately dropped to the ground and became dark blank lines that were absorbed back into Ediltrude, her hair regaining it's white streak and her eyes no longer pitch black as the lines on her skin faded.

"How was that for a morning workout boss?" Ediltrude asked with a grin and Bloom merely snorted but smirked.

"Best exercise I've gotten since coming here." Bloom admitted as she began to walk off of the field.

"Well gorgeous perhaps we can spar sometime?" 'Brandon' tried to flirt with her while Riven decided, nope he was not going to mess with the girl who could throw around dragons and not even look winded.

"Sorry. Not interested in little boys pretending to be men. Besides you wouldn't survive against me." Bloom said snorting as she walked by him without giving him so much as a glance.

"You dare try to steal and insult my fianc-ACK!" A girl literally burst up from the ground in full fairy outfit looking furious.

"I don't want him. You can have him. Don't try to attack me again." Bloom said not even looking at the girl as she had pulled her side arm and shot the girl in the shoulder without hesitation.

"You dare attack a princess?!" Some of the crowd was yelling at Bloom now.

"If she's dumb enough to attack the person who just threw around two dragons like they were made of paper then she gets what she deserves!" Ediltrude yelled back at the crowd and most of them had to admit she had a point there.

"Be glad I didn't attack her for daring try to threaten my mate!"

Of course it was so silent that you could hear a pin drop when DuFour snarled those words out with red eyes as she glared around the crowd.

Bloom just smirked. Her…mate…was interesting.
