Heri was so happy to be reunited with his family after journeying to find Kion for help. The female spotted hyena was more than happy to see her mate once more and grateful that he and his two new friends have saved her and the babies from those villainous crows. There were two kids that Heri had and one of them was slightly bigger than the other. "Is everyone alright?" asked Heri to all his family

"We're fine dad." said the bigger pup that sounded like a boy.

"Thanks to you." Heri's mate added. "Those annoying crows were about to feast on our poor babies. But we are so glad that you all killed them for us. Otherwise, you two would have been gone right now." she looked at her offspring, then Kion and Rani.

Kion stepped in front of her and the pups and he looked heroic and bold. "So you're Heri's family."

"Yes. We've heard about you Kion." said the female striped hyena. "We would all like to thank you for helping us."

"And this is Rani, Kion's girlfriend." Heri pointed. "I think they make such a nice couple."

"Oooh," the two pups playfully said

"Kissy face!" the smaller baby exclaimed, sounding like a little girl.

"Oh stop it, you two. It's not nice to make fun of animals like that."

"Sorry daddy."

"So, Kion, this is Belang, my mate. We've been together for as long as we can remember. And these are my children: Ujinja, the oldest, and Kupendeza, the youngest one."

The male cub smiled and said. "It's really nice to meet you all."

"The pleasure is all mine, Kion. We thank you again for saving us from those evil crows. Now my babies will have nothing to worry about. Sure, there is still dangerous things out there, but me and Heri can always teach them how to fight for themselves."

"You're Kion?" asked Ujinja. "We've heard all about you. How you killed that evil lion."

"And how you saved the whole world." Kupendeza added.

"Uh-huh."

"How did you do it all by yourself?" asked the brother

"Oh, he didn't do it all by himself." Heri said. "He had some help. What he been through was bigger than him, and bigger than all of us combined. The old lion kings of the past helped him out. Their spirits."

"Yep. My grandparents saved me." Kion said. "but Inuwa will never be coming back this time. I know it."

"Who helped you?" the sister hyena asked, with her and her sibling walking up to Kion in curiosity.

"My friends that were not under Inuwa's evil spell. And there were a couple of enemies that decided to help us... reluctantly. Like Janja and-"

"Janja?" Belang recognized that name. "You know that nasty piece of work?"

"Yep. He knows that too well." Rani added

"Janja has been a thorn on my side for a long while now. Me and my friends dealt with them so many times over the months and he never learns to give up. He even tried to kill me on my day off." Kion explained. "I just don't get him. Why can't he just leave everyone alone and follow the circle of life like most animals do?"

"That's probably a question even they can't answer." Heri reassured him. "I'm sure that you were told about how all hyenas were evil."

"Before I met Jasiri. Yes." Kion admitted. "But then i started to warm up to hyenas a little more. but i don't think Janja and his friends will change or be like Jasiri and her clan."i

"yeah, Janja is one of the most brazen and stubborn hyenas i have ever met." Heri agreed. "he and his annoying friends won't listen to reason. Probably never will."

"like my parents always said: you can save everyone." Rani added. "just save as much animals as you can."

"good point," said Belang. "so Kion, would you care to stay with us for a little while? Our babies would really love to spend more time with you."

"please?" Unjinja and Kupendeza had puppy eyes on their adorable, canine-like faces. How can anyone possibly resist those adorable little faces that They were giving the male lion cub.

at first, Kion was about to tell them no. But he eventually gave into the adorable faces. Ultimately, because of those puppy-like faces, the lion cub said. "Yeah, I guess I can stay here for a little while."

"Yay!" the two hyena offspring bounced with joy. Over the course of time, Kion and Rani were playing with the striped hyena kids and all four of them were having a blast. There was some roughhousing involved, but nothing to serious. The playing was mostly pouncing and wrestling. Heri and Belang watched as their own children made new friends in their lives.

"They are so adorable when they are playing." Heri said

"I know!" Belang concurred. "Just look at our little angels. You picked the right kind of animals to help us out."

"Yeah. I sure did. Now those birds will never try to pick on us again." Heri had a thought buzzing around his brain or a few long moments of this. "You know, I wonder if his parents would let us visit the Pride lands."

"Well, we've seen some lions who are hostile to us. It's not always a peace treaty." Belang looked a little skeptical. "But, if his parents won't listen to us, then they can at least listen to him and Rani."

Heri smiled with hope on his dog-like face. "Yeah. Kion likes us already and he saved us just now."

"True."

Unjinja and Kupendeza were playing tag with Kion and Rani while talking, having so much fun together with their new friends. Suddenly, Zazu came down and perched on a nearby dead tree. "Kion! I need to talk to you." he called down to the cub

"Zazu? What is it? And why don't you come down here so I can hear you?"

"Because there are some hyenas down there and I do not want to get mauled and eaten." the hornbill replied. "Nope, too risky for me."

"We're not going to eat you?" said Belang.

"That's what all hyenas said to me before madame, and they lied!"

"Zazu, calm down." said Kion. "These are good hyenas. You know Jasiri and her clan, right? Not to mention that dad made piece with Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed."

"They say they have made peace, but can we trust them?"

"Zazu!" Kion exclaimed firmly

"Alright alright. I'm coming down there." then he did just that, hover down to Kion and Rani's level, but still cautious about the striped hyenas around him. "Anywho, your father and mother want you to come back to Pride Rock. It is something very important... or I think incredibly risky!"

"Wait, wait, is he in trouble?" Unjinja asked the bird. "What did he do mr banana beak?"

"Banana beak? This is just the color of my beak, dear boy." said the hornbill. "And no, Kion is not in any kind of trouble. It's just very important, royal business that Kion has to come see."

"Oh. Ok. Sorry guys. Me and Rani have to go."

All four of the hyena family members looked bummed that Kion and Rani had to go now. The male cub and his girlfriend had great pity on them all and the male cub said: "Hey, you guys wanna come with me and see the pride Lands?"

The four dog-like faces turned from sad to happy once more. "really? We would love that." said Heri with joy. "Will your father be alright with us visiting?"

"I'm sure-"

"That he would surely disapprove of you coming into our home." Zazu interrupted before being stared down by Kion and Rani, looking angry at him and scaring him. "Oh very well. I don't know what good it will do though."

"Don't worry. They seem like nice hyenas." Rani smiled.

Zazu was still very reluctant, but he knew that he was not the king or the decision maker. Nevertheless, he knew that whatever the king would say goes, and Simba deeply trusts his only son with all his heart more so than Zazu since Kion is family to Simba and this hornbill was the king's majordomo. They all ventured back into the Pride Lands and some of the animals that the group passed by were staring at the striped hyenas. A few were a little hateful towards Heri and his family, but most were careful towards them and didn't say anything.

Of course, the few animals who looked at the hyenas with hatred didn't say anything either. At first, Heri and his family were a little nervous about coming to the Pride Lands with some animals staring at them. However, Kion assured him that they all have nothing to worry about once they meet his parents and the royal family. At last, when they reached Pride Rock, the whole family of striped hyenas were amazed bu the immense size of this group of marbled rocks.

"Wow, it's so big." said Kupendeza.

"Very big." her brother added.

A couple of ongoing lionesses noticed the family of hyenas and they didn't say anything but were rather intrigued. In their minds, some of them were saying: "First Janja and his family and now striped hyenas?" But they didn't say anything bad about them since Kion and Rani were with them. When they all entered Pride Rock, Simba and Nala were also surprised to see striped hyenas, along with Kiara and Kovu. Zira and Vitani were the ones remaining cautious around this intriguing family "Kion there you are."

When Kion saw Janja and his clan, he and Rani growled at them. "Janja? What are you doing here?"

"It's alright Kion." said Nala. "They are not here to attack you."

"What's going on?" Rani asked

"Kion, Janja and his clan want to make peace with us and the Pride Lands." Simba explained. "I know it's unexpected, but they do want to make peace."

"Yeah, they won't try to hurt you or anyone else anymore." Kiara added

Kion sounded as surprised as everyone else in his family when they first encountered Janja coming to them all in Pride Rock. "I'm a little confused." said Rani. "They want to make peace?"

"We know, we know." said Janja. "You weren't expecting this. But... we were all thinking about it, and time and time again, we try to get whatever we want to eat and you all stop us." he looked down. "But then, after fighting alongside you against Inuwa when he took over the Pride Lands, it made me and my boys realize some things."

"Yeah, we're tired of you and the Lion Guard kicking our butts all the time." Cheezi said

"And we want to try to start over and... try to turn over a new stick. Or was it a stick? I can't remember." Chungu added

"Leaf, Chungu." said Janja, "turn over a new 'leaf' is what you mean."

"Ohhh."

"So yeah, Kion, one thing is we have... a newfound respect for you and the Lion Guard."

The male cub looked less angry than before and was about to warm up to them.

"We just want to live peacefully and maybe try to understand the Circle of Life better." Janja continued. "Although I'm a little curious what those striped hyenas are doing with ya."

"Well, allow me to introduce myself." said the male striped hyena. "I am Heri, and this is my wife Belang, and my kids Unjinja and Kupendeza."

"Hello." said the small striped hyenas.

"I asked Kion for some help against a group of pied crows terrorizing me and my family. The birds were too fast and I was seeking help, and I found Kion and his girlfriend, who agreed to help us." Heri explained. "I know we don't really feel welcomed here, but we are not troublemaking hyenas like when Scar was alive."

Simba smiled at them, and so did Nala. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all. Anyone who is a friend of my one and only son is a friend of ours."

"Yes. Any good animal can be welcomed to the Pride Lands." Nala added

"Kion," said Janja. "Me and my boys want to make peace with all of you and the Pride Lands." he walked up to the lion cub, slightly towering over him. "So what do you say... friends?" he reached out his right paw for a shake.

The young cub was still a little reluctant, but he looked at his family, who nodded a yes saying that they can trust him and his clan now, and looked back at the spotted hyena. "Yeah. Friends." then they both shook paws with one another. Deep down, Kion and all his family and friends were glad that this little rivalry between this group of hyenas and the Pride Landers were now over. Yes, this was the start of a new relationship for everyone.
