N-Nursery and Nap

Bo had just finished putting up the name above the bassinet. The nursery was almost finished now. Nora did not want to paint it pink so they had decided on lavender. Bo had learned a long time ago not to doubt her motherly instincts.

"What do you think," he asked, when she walked in a couple minutes later. She had a big smile on her face.

"Oh cowboy, it's perfect. It is like you knew exactly what I was thinking and somehow put it into visible results."

"I listened to you Red. That is all."

She wrapped her arms around his neck as she looked at the block lettering above the bassinet.

"Justice," she whispered. "Could not be a more perfect name for our child."

"I can't wait to meet her," he said.

She rubbed her belly and said, "Well it won't be too much longer now."

He bent down at her level and kissed her belly. "You stay in there a little longer Justice. You need to keep growing and getting stronger. Mommy and daddy can wait a little longer to meet you."

She kissed the top of his head and he put his arm around her. She looked into his eyes.

"You are such a wonderful dad Bo. Matthew and Justice are lucky to have you. My daughter is too. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you have loved her as much as if she were your own for all these years."

"She's a part of you Red. Of course, I love her. She's really a great woman."

"I'm so lucky to have you as my husband. I love you so much cowboy."

"I'm the lucky one. You have given me more joy then I have ever known. I love you Red."

She smiles as he leans in to kiss her, the intensity of their love sweeping them away. She would love nothing more than to get lost in him but she just was not feeling up to it. Not today.

"I'm sorry sweetheart. Not today. I am still feeling a little queasy. "

"Then how about I just take you to bed to rest. At least I can hold you."

"As long as you don't move."

"Right, "he agrees, with a smile.

"Bo," she calls, a couple minutes later.

"What is it sweetheart? Do you need something?"

"I hate to ask but…Can you rub my feet?"

"Anything you need, I would be happy to do."

She smiles at him as he takes her foot into his hands. She does not need to tell him what she has said a thousand times already but she does anyways.

"Thank you for putting up with me and all my mood swings."

"Honey, you are the one carrying our daughter. I should be thanking you."

She smiles as she rubs his shoulder. "I love you."

"Oh Red. I love you too. Close your eyes now. I'll take care of everything."

"You always do," she says, as her eyes finally shut. She is asleep within minutes, and Bo carefully moves back up to the top of the bed so he can take her in his arms. He might as well get some sleep too
