Unintended Consequence

Just outside the Mishima Zaibatsu Headquarters HQ West Tower

Hwoarang, Steve Fox, and Edgar Grant managed to escape a dangerous trap set up by the Russian elite military squad known as Spetnaz inside the West Tower of the Mishima Zaibatsu Headquarters. They had just defeated the maniac cyberized Bryan Fury who was shot in the head by Edgar Grant. However, the group's troubles did not go away. Sergei Dragunov, the Spetnaz commander, was disappointed that Bryan Fury could not find the evidence of the Devil Gene studies nor specs of the android Alisa Bosconovitch. In a drastic move, he would crush the opposing group Hwoarang was apart of and destroy the Mishima Zaibatsu Headquarters with his tanks and bazookas.

The Spetnaz used their tanks to surround the courtyard area of the West Tower. Once Dragunov could see the people responsible for Bryan's demise, Dragunov wanted them out of the picture. Hwoarang, Steve, and Edgar tried to think of a way out of this dicey predicament as they being cornered.

Hwoarang: "Aw what they f*ck man!"

Steve: "So this is the main force of those soldiers who attacked us inside."

Hwoarang: "Hey Edgar. Any clue as to how we get out of this mess?"

Edgar: "I could use a smoke bomb, but I bet those tanks have infrared scanners in them. Our only hope is that we take cover with the various vehicles scattered across this area. But we have to quick, otherwise, their firepower will take us all out."

Hwoarang (Looks at a tank's muzzle turning red.): "We gotta move!"

A Spetnaz tank from the left side of the courtyard began firing at the men. Then the remaining four tanks began firing at the group as well. There was an abandoned armoured vehicle that the three men took cover under. However, with the thousands of bullets coming through the truck, that cover would not hold for very long.

Steve: "We can't stay here like this!"

Steve was panicking because it looked like there was no way for them to leave out of their current cover position. But then…there was a loud noise coming from behind the tanks. Then the Spetnaz stopped firing after getting a surprise missile coming at the main tank where Dragunov was commanding. This gave Edgar the opportunity to tell the other guys to run and follow him.

Edgar: "Come on! Move!"

Hwoarang, Steve, and Edgar all ran as fast as possible. There were more missiles coming from the sky as they hit the Spetnaz hard. The fire blasting was coming from the Rebel Forces who had just wrapped up another battle with the waning Mishima Zaibatsu squadron. It must have been some divine intervention at work, for Hwoarang and his friends to get out of that mess alive. Once they found a safe spot at a nearby small park, they stopped and caught their breaths.

Hwoarang: "Just what the hell was that back there?"

Edgar: "I dunno, but they could be the Rebels attacking the Spetnaz."

Hwoarang: "Man I hope it is! I thought we were screwed for sure!"

Steve: "For what is worth, I'm just glad to be alive after that awful experience."

Hwoarang: "I've had cops shoot at me before like that. Nothing new for me."

Steve: "Do you always get in trouble with the law?"

Hwoarang: "I try to stay out of trouble! The fuckers just wont leave me alone is all!"

Steve: "Yeah I'm sure."

Hwoarang: "You don't believe me? Just ask Lei Wulong!"

Egdar: "Guys! Enough! We should find that squadron who is attacking the Spetnaz and maybe we can follow them back at their camp once they finish fighting. Now what do you say?"

Steve: "That's a good plan."

Hwoarang (To Steve.): "We'll finish this argument later."

Steve: "Yup!" (Starts walking past Hwoarang.)

Hwoarang (Ticked): "Tch!"

As time passed, it appeared that the words of Edgar proved to be accurate as a Tekken Rebel Squadron labelled No. 12 gave the Spetnaz too much firepower to handle with their extra missile launchers and tanks. Over time, the ninjas from the United Nations, Master Raven and her subordinate Phoenix, managed to capture Sergei Dragunov after cornering him when he and his close superiors tried to flee the hopeless situation. Of course, Hwoarang's company would not know of this news until they were midway to the base of the Rebel Force Camp. While riding inside the many armoured trucks of the 12th Rebel division, Hwoarang was still upset that he could not find his other rival Jin Kazama. Funny enough, Jin was missing after being spotted just an hour prior at the top of the Central Zaibatsu Tower. The soldiers said he went inside a portal with the woman who captured him, but was that really true?

Rebel Soldier 1: "I can't believe that! Jin Kazama taken in a large portal you said?"

Rebel Soldier 2: "Yeah. I just saw it on Kaori's cell phone? Got taken in by Kazumi Mishima and they disappeared into the portal."

Rebel Soldier 1: "That's gotta be fake!"

Rebel Soldier 3 (Kaori): "No, it's real Musa! The news is all over it!"

Rebel Soldier 1: "Ok then where did they all go?"

Rebel Soldier 3: "I dunno. Maybe they killed themselves?"

Hwoarang: "He's not dead!"

Everyone in the truck: "Huh?"

Hwoarang: "He can't be dead! Jin wouldn't go out that easy like that!"

Rebel Soldier 2: "Hwoarang, how can you be so sure about that?"

Hwoarang: "He ain't like most people. Where ever he is, I know he can get out of it."

Rebel Soldier 3: "I don't want him to come back! He could destroy the world again!"

Hwoarang: "If he does, then just leave it to guys like me!"

Rebel Soldier 1: "He's too powerful to face alone! Are you mad?"

Hwoarang: "So what if I am? I took him before and I can do it again!"

Edgar: "Hwoarang! Easy there man!"

Steve shakes his head at Hwoarang's demeanor

At the Tekken Rebel Force camp

Hwoarang and his allies made it back to the Rebel Camp safely. In fact, Lars was awaiting Hwoarang's return while standing outside the parking area for the armored truck vehicles. Lars wasn't too happy with Hwoarang for leaving his squadron to go off on his own, but nevertheless, he was relieved to see the guy still alive. When Hwoarang got out of the truck he could see Lars with his large dark cape blowing behind his back from the wind gusts.

Hwoarang: "What the?"

Lars: "Hwoarang! Tell me something! Who said you could leave your assigned squadron for your own personal gain?"

Hwoarang: "Nobody!"

Lars: "That was reckless! You all could have been dead had it not been for the United Nations notifying us about the Spetnaz prescene at the West Tower."

Steve: "United Nations?"

Lars: "They have a secret agent group who are experts in spying and solving cold cases. Their agents will be coming here very soon. You should thank them for saving your lives."

Hwoarang: "Anyway, did you hear about what happened to Jin?"

Lars: "Yes…I don't know what happened exactly. But wherever he is, I just hope he can get out of it. You guys have fought hard today. My team has quarters ready for you all to rest in. Just follow them and they will show you. I will return to my tent."

Steve; "We appreciate this! Thanks!"

Lars (Nods.): "Of course." (Walking away.)

Hwoarang (Breaks silence.): You see! Even he thinks Jin is still out there somewhere!"

Steve: "Okay but where? No one knows where he is?"

Edgar: "I wonder if Nina is alright."

Hwoarang: "Nina?"

Steve: "Nina Williams."

Hwoarang: "That woman? What about her?"

Edgar (Whispering): "Keep it down. I didn't mention this to you all until now, but to say it quietly, I came with her to Tokyo after she left the Zaibatsu. Oh and Leo! I forgot to check on her too!" (Sigh.) "Now I feel like a parent or something!"

Steve: "Maybe we should go back for her?"

Edgar: "No no…let's not panic. She should be out of the Zaibatsu headquarters too by now. I hope she found her mother's office. To find out the truth."

Steve: "Let me call her. I'll find out where she is."

Edgar: "Alright. Once we reach the tents I'll see if I can contact Nina."

At the tent quarters

Hwoarang: "Dammit! The phone is dead!"

Hwoarang tried to turn on his rental cell phone, but it was not charged yesterday. He had forgot to do it. If he had to call Baek, then Hwoarang would need to get out of the tent again. But he was so tired from the crazy ordeal he and his associates had to deal. So Hwoarang found his phone charger and plugs it in the surge protector along with the phone to charge up. On his bunkbed as soon as he laid down, Hwoarang drifted into a long sleep.

Night time

Steve: "Hwoarang?"

Hwoarang (Waking up.): "Huh?"

Steve: "You feel asleep didn't you?"

Hwoarang (rising up): "Yeah damn. What's up?"

Steve: "I was getting ready to get some food, I thought you might wanted some too."

Hwoarang: "Oh. Yeah I need something to eat. Didn't eat anything all day."

Steve: "Better come on then."

At the Rebel Camp Mess Hall Tent

The battle of the Zaibatsu Headquarter had concluded with a tactical victory for the Rebels and G Corp. When news reached the companies that the missile threat was averted, all forces ceased their fire, and the generals made a peace surrender pact. Lars himself did not attend the late night party at the mess hall for he was too tired from the day's ordeal. Hwoarang, Steve, and Edgar made it inside the tent and they looked at the soldiers who were in a mood that resembled a New Year's Eve celebration.

Steve: "Wow!"

Edgar: "So much for a quiet night."

Hwoarang: "Yeah yeah. I'm getting my plate!"

Though struggling to get past the heavy crowd of soldiers, Hwoarang made to the food stands and was able to salvage the remaining food that was left. He got all of his food in a takeout box and decided to not to eat with a large of people drinking, smoking, and dancing. But off the corner of his eye before he could step out of the mess hall tent, Miharu was running at his direction. She left her friends behind just to talk with him.

Miharu: "Hwoarang!"

Hwoarang: "Wha?"

Miharu: "Hwoarang! Where are you going?"

Hwoarang: "I'm not eating my food with a bunch of dudes dancing over me! Going somewhere more quiet. Have a peace mind ok?"

Miharu: "Oh. I didn't know you were feeling bad, but we helped saved the world! I mean…are you hurt? Did someone die?"

Hwoarang: "Nobody died that I was close to." (Starts walking.) "But at least you're okay."

Miharu (Blushing.): "Can I follow you?"

Hwoarang: "Sure. I don't mind."

Miharu gleefully followed Hwoarang towards another tent where it was more secluded as there were less people around. They didn't say much once they sat down at an empty table. Miharu just smiled and asked a few questions about what Hwoarang did earlier in the assault. He gave her vague answers, but at least he didn't feel so alone this time. But what was Hwoarang going to tell Baek Doo San about Jin Kazama being missing? That he was not sure of.
