... Ok. Thanks for reading this! It's my first story, so please be nice! Thank you! I hope you enjoy it. :)

Lenore skipped merrily through the bright meadow, surrounded by bunnies and kitties, who were, surprisingly, very much alive. There wasn't a cloud in sight, and flowers were scattered as far as the eye could see. Everything was beautiful as the little girl danced happily. She twirled and jumped and danced and sung. The animals smiled, and all was perfect… That is, until large dark clouds covered every inch of sky, and the grass turned an unsightly brown. The animals stared dropping dead, and the flowers wilted. Lenore looked around. The air smelled of rotting flesh and… chocolate? She looked directly ahead.

And there he was…

stood directly in front of her, holding a very large bouquet of roses. He stood a safe-ish distance away, but Lenore still had nothing to defend herself with. He slowly inched closer, making sure that the dangerous girl he loved would not attack him. She screamed, and tried to run, but her feet seemed glued to the ground. When seeing this, walked, much more confidently, over to his beloved. Lenore screamed again, but that did not stop him from growing closer, and, ever so slowly, inching his face towards hers…..

THUD! There was a loud crashing noise, as Ragamuffin swung the bedroom door open with all his might. He looked rather tired, but ready to defend his friend, even if he was just a doll. He held a cracked lamp in his hand, which was rendered powerless, as it was not plugged into the wall. His look was concerned –and somewhat afraid - but soon turned to angry. Lenore looked at him, puzzled how he had figured out to come at that time, when she realized had been sitting upright in bed, screaming, with her eyes shut tight.

"What's wrong this time?" Ragamuffin sighed. This sort of thing had been going on for weeks now.

"Oh. Uh… nothing!" she chirped, and smiled widely, which was… sort of normal.

Ragamuffin walked over to her bed. "You had a bad dream again, didn't you? Come on, what was it?"

Lenore didn't really want to talk about it, but she knew that if she went back to sleep, that the dream would come back. Without any other options, Lenore reluctantly explained the whole dream to him, with random, unneeded outbursts. At the end, Ragamuffin looked at her, as if confused, but still concerned.

" Well, I don't really know what to say about this. For one thing, I really don't feel like giving you another dream-catcher." He paused and shuddered, "But all I can think to say is: just think about something else."

Then they said "Good-night", and Ragamuffin left her room and walked down the hall. He wished he could say more, but he didn't know what. He decided he'd just leave it alone. Things would work themselves out. Besides, was long dead and buried by Lenore herself.

What was the worst that could happen?

Well, I hope you like it so far. Sorry the first chapter is so short, but I've got a bad case of writer's block. Anyways, please review if you liked it and tell me if I should continue or keep it like this. Because when I think about it, it might be fine like this….. Thanks! :D
