A/N: I'm just going to rewrite this disaster. Consider this chapter one.

It was a buzzing Saturday afternoon. All the scientists were glued to their instruments in anticipation. Today was the day of the anomaly. What that was they weren't sure. It had happened once before a few short years ago. This time they were prepared with all sorts of recording equipment. Time seemed to crawl by as they waited anxiously.

The Geology lab picked up some slight seismic activity. This instantly perked up the scientists there as they poured over the reading. One of them made some calls to the other labs to relay the activity. Another lab picked up some slight unusual energy readings. The experts poured over the meager findings.

Hours passed, this couldn't be it? The buzz died and turned to confusion and more anxiety. This couldn't be the anomaly could it? There had been slight fluctuations in space time ever since the Pastmaster's ritual, nothing detrimental or frankly too interesting yet, thankfully. With the help of the Swat Kats, they managed end the ritual and banish the Pastmaster to some other reality.

Days passed, leaving them to keep monitoring the situation. Perhaps nothing of note would happen for awhile.

Angel stumbled around a dark alley. Where was she? She was in her apartment one moment and here the next. She was in her apartment, right? Angel placed a hand over her rapidly beating heart. The atmosphere felt heavier. She made her way to the sidewalk on unsteady feet. She needed to get back to her apartment since her mother stopped by to visit. She looked around in confusion, shielding her eyes from the sun. Wasn't it evening time before? She shook her head and squinted at the few people around. Did she drop into a furry convention? She rubbed her eyes and tried to refocus them. She definitely wasn't seeing things.

She checked her pocket for her phone and to her shock and dismay it wasn't there. Panic set in. That's right it was on charge since she was at...home.

"Excuse me, miss." She said, tapping a woman's shoulder.

"Can I help you?" She asked as she whipped her head towards Angel. She jumped and stared at Angel agape for a moment.

"Where am I?" Angel asked, feeling incredibly self-conscious with the way this furry was staring at her.

"M-MegaKat City." She stuttered out.

Angel took in how realistic the woman's fursuit was. This was certainly craftmanship, even if it wasn't her thing.

"Oh, I didn't realize I made my way into a convention. Okay, really, what city is this?" Angel asked, balling her fists nervously in her jean pockets.

The woman gave her a confused look. "You're in Megakat City." She said with more confidence this time, still staring openly at Angel's face.

"Look, you can break character, I'm rather lost and I have no clue how I got here." Angel said, growing more frustrated.

"What happened to your face?" The woman finally asked.

Angel glared at her. "Really?" She said in a deadpan voice.

The woman backed away cautiously and hurried away. Angel glared after her and shook her head. "Excuse me, can I borrow your phone?" Angel asked another person. "No, sorry." He said and quickly walked off.

"Furries." Angel muttered and rolled her eyes. She would just find one of the security and see about her mom ordering her an uber. She wandered down the street. This was certainly a large space for a convention. She noticed the people in the cars were also cat like. Could this be close by to a convention and people were coming or going?

The few other kats she past gave her a wide berth and stared. She was getting fed up with the treatment. It was ridiculous no one would help her.

"Mommy look!" A child shouted. Angel looked in the child's direction and just stared for a moment. Wow even the kid has a life like fursuit, she thought. The woman hurried away, dragging the child with her as she glared.

"Oh c'mon!" Angel huffed. She sighed irritably and made it another block before two intimidating kats in uniform approached her. She noted the swishing tails behind them. They looked her up and down. "Ma'am you need to vacate the premises." One of them said gruffly.

"That's what I'm trying to do. Is there a phone I can use? I'll have my mom come get me... Uh...where am I exactly?" She asked, shying away from them as they stared her down, hands on their pistols.

"You're in Megakat City. Have you taken any illegal substances?" One snapped aggressively.

"No!" She said assertively.

"You don't look right." The other one added suspiciously.

"Slowly take your hands out of your pockets." The enforcer ordered.

Her heart hammered in her chest. Was she about to be arrested for stumbling into a fucking furry convention? She did as told, swallowing thickly.

"Stand on one leg." The larger enforcer demanded.

Angel tried, she kept almost falling, still disorientated.

"Okay, we're taking you in, you're clearly under the influence." The enforcer sneered and pulled out his handcuffs.

"Turn around." He ordered.

Angel did as told, visibly shaking. Tears streamed down her face. This had to be some kind of nightmare. She would remember leaving her apartment. "I need help." She said with a shuddering voice.

"You're going to get help alright ma'am." The other officer sneered.

"This must be that underground stuff the commissioner was talking about. It destroyed her fucking face." He said in astonishment.

"What are you talking about? You're the ones in fucking fursuits!" Angel shouted tearfully.

They stared at her in shock. "What the hell did you just say?" He said in shocked disgust.

"I said you're the ones wearing fursuits, you're not even real cops are you?" She shouted, backing away from them.

The enforcer nearest to her grabbed her arms and held her firmly in place. "You're sick, you know that?"

"Oh my fucking god, what the hell is happening right now?" Angel shouted, trying to wrench out of the enforcer's strong hold.

"Get her in the car." His partner said as he opened the squad car.

They both struggled to put her in the car as she struggled and screamed. They over powered her and slammed the door shut.

Angel struggled to pull her hands over her backside. The enforcers got in the car and radioed in that they were taking in a junkie.

"This is crazy, just let me go!" Angel begged.

"Not happening."

"What the hell did you mean by fursuit?" The tabby demanded with a shudder.

"You're kidding...You can drop character for one goddamn moment. This is kidnapping! You aren't real cops!" Angel snarled in outrage.

"Lady this ain't no act!" The orange tom snapped.

"You want me to honestly believe you're a fucking cat person? Buddy, you're the one on drugs." Angel snarled, struggling in the handcuffs.

The enforcers exchanged a look. "She is really creeping me out." The tabby muttered to his partner.

They slowed to a stop in front of the jail. Angel stared at the grey building for a moment. The tabby opened the door and waited for her to get out. Angel went to bolt as soon as her feet touched the asphalt. The orange tom grabbed her before she could even run and hauled her inside the building kicking and screaming.

"I get one fucking phone call and I want it right fucking now!" Angel screamed, thrashing in the large kat's iron grip.

"You're going to sit tight and make nice." He replied gruffly as he shoved her in the drunk tank, quickly taking off her cuffs and slamming the door shut.

"This is bullshit! You're supposed to help people not throw them in jail for being lost! I want my fucking phone call!" Angel yelled at the kat as he walked away. She kicked the wall and practically threw herself down on the bench.

There were a few other kats in there sleeping off their liquor. Angel rolled her eyes. This was ridiculous. She hoped her mother would be able to find her soon. Angel swore she was at her apartment and her mother was there as well. She wracked her brain for how she might have gotten to this furry hell. Could she have been slipped something somehow? Not everyone would be dressed up as cats, right? She slumped against the wall and sighed heavily. Maybe she would be let out later or something. This was just too much, she shook her head.
